    It was a wonderful stay.

    Since it was a last-minute plan, I decided to stay here because it mentioned an onsen with natural hot spring water. It pleasantly exceeded my expectations, with the staff's genuine hospitality, a room that was clean, a bath that was as wonderful as expected, and meals that made me wonder if it was economically viable for the management. It was a truly wonderful stay. Thank you for kindly and promptly preparing the futon when I wanted to lie down before dinner.

    The view while dining was nice, but the service was lacking. There is room for improvement. We hope for improvements in service and other areas.

    Luxurious dinner and free-flowing Onsen

    I suddenly decided on a trip to Yamagata, and it was very relaxing. The Yamagata beef grilled on a ceramic plate was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and all the dishes made with seasonal ingredients were carefully prepared and very tasty. The staff speaking in the Yamagata dialect were warm and attentive, making the stay comfortable. The Onsen was free-flowing, allowing for a leisurely experience. The cold barley tea available before the bath was also appreciated. The free drink corner with post-bath ice cream and coffee was a delight! Breakfast featured many local specialties, and I thought the chef's skills were excellent. On the way back, I headed to Kamo Aquarium by local bus, and it was heartwarming that the proprietress came out to see me off. But that wasn't the end! As the bus passed in front of the Hotel, the proprietress and staff waved from the roadside! I was deeply moved that they waited until the bus passed by! It was a heartwarming and warm trip. I hope to visit again with my family someday.

    The view from the la...

    The view from the large window in the Room was excellent. Moreover, the building is well-constructed, so no outside noise comes in, allowing you to immerse yourself in the scenery. The meals are also well-prepared and satisfying.

    I used the property ...

    I used the property for the first time after an expedition climb. There was an open-air bath, but it was disappointing that there was hardly any view outside despite being a seaside stay. The food was delicious, with various ingredients that are rarely available at stays in this price range. Different brands of rice were prepared for dinner and breakfast. The best part was the service. I thought everyone was attentive.

    It was a Stays by the sea.

    I have rated the onsen a 3 because I did not use it. Even though I didn't actually use the onsen, I was still charged the Hot Spring Tax. It wasn't the property's fault, but I was shocked that due to my reservation mistake, I couldn't enjoy the meal I was looking forward to, so I didn't use the onsen or the bath. It was a rule, so I paid immediately and have no complaints about that. I suppose there aren't many people who come to an onsen property and don't use the onsen. It was my first time, and I traveled 6 hours by train and bus to an onsen, only to have a trip without meals or onsen. In the morning, I changed my mindset since I had come all this way, and took a walk along the seaside in front of the property, thinking that in summer, it must be bustling with guests coming for sea bathing. Still, if the only restaurant in the onsen town is closed, and there are probably no convenience stores, I ended up skipping dinner, so I will be more careful with reservations in the future.
