Summer Vacation
I had a long weekend off, so I stayed here, which I’d been interested in for some time. The lounge has a great view, and they offer a wide variety of complimentary drinks there, so I was able to enjoy myself from the moment I arrived. The Onsen in the large public bath was also very relaxing. One thing that surprised me was that most of the staff were non-Japanese. Their service was very good, but there were moments that left me a bit uneasy—such as referring to breakfast as dinner, speaking too quickly, and being hard to understand at times. They were clearly working very hard, so I don’t want to be overly critical, but since it’s such a wonderful Hotel, I couldn’t help wondering why there are so few Japanese staff members.

We were satisfied with everything—the Accommodation staff, the Room atmosphere, and the food—so we were able to spend a very comfortable day. The Room was somewhat expensive, but it exceeded our expectations in terms of value and satisfaction!!

There is a private home in front of the bath.
Because there were private homes directly in front of the bath and the layout left us fully visible, I couldn’t enjoy the bath at all. My mother, who came with me, also really disliked it. Because the bathing garment fabric is thick, after using it once it became soaked, heavy, and cold, so I didn’t feel like going in multiple times. Also, there was only space for one person’s wet bathing garment in the shower room. The prominent glass in the shower room also had a lot of water stains. I thought the large public bath might be better and went to check, but it was just as exposed there as well, including the changing area. If you use it, is the correct approach to carry a wet, heavy bathing garment to the large public bath? I arrived excited, but after checking I couldn’t bring myself to go in. The entrance door to the Room was heavy; the entryway was narrow so it was hard to take off shoes and difficult to come and go. Dinner offered many wine options; they were particular about their tableware; the presentation was interesting; and everything tasted very good. They also accommodated ingredients I don’t like in a thoughtful way, which I appreciated. Breakfast didn’t feel special like dinner and felt rather sparse. For the price, there were issues with an unbalanced Room layout; amenities like tea and coffee were ordinary; and even the glasses were warped and felt cheap.

Thoughtful attention to detail
I was surprised right after arriving when we were offered a ride in a self-driving car. The ocean view from the 8th-floor front desk was amazing, and the welcome drinks were plentiful. Dinner was delicious, with attentive service and stylish dishes in just the right portions. The Asian staff worked very hard and were smart, polite, and thoughtful, making our trip truly comfortable. Thank you very much.

Spacious Room and breathtaking views!
I’m a repeat guest. I love Shinra’s Ocean Panorama Room, and I keep staying here whenever I can find availability. With a total area of 210 m², it’s more space than two people could possibly need. From the glass-walled Room, you get sweeping ocean views and can also see Tateyama city. As always, I brought binoculars and enjoyed the scenery. The open-air bath in the Room is also large—spacious enough even for four adults. Meals are served at the restaurant, and everything was brought out at just the right pace. Shinra’s breakfast is luxurious as well, so it’s nice that there’s still something to look forward to even after dinner. It was my first stay in a year, and I was happy to see staff members who had taken care of me before. Shinra has many international staff, which makes it feel like being at an overseas resort. Everyone speaks Japanese very well and provides polite service—I’m always impressed. The Diamond member benefits—half a bottle of sparkling wine and late check-out—are much appreciated, and I hope they never change them. Great food, great Onsen, great service at Shinra. I’ll be back again in another season.

It feels like a Japanese-affiliated Hotel in Southeast Asia.
Thank you very much for your hospitality. The meals were delicious, and we were able to enjoy a quiet, relaxing time. The cave bar was also a wonderful space. On the other hand, I feel there is room for improvement in operational consistency and staff training. After arrival, we were guided in a shared self-driving car. At resorts, it is usually one vehicle per party—was this for cost reduction? Also, one of the guests sharing the ride was pregnant, yet she was kept standing while waiting, and there was no consideration such as guiding her to the slightly more spacious rear seat. Is it appropriate to assign inexperienced staff to the very first point of service that determines a Facility’s first impression? After check-in, someone else’s luggage had been brought into our Room, so I immediately contacted the front desk. The cylindrical cushion placed by the bed had thick dust stuck to it, so I moved it away right away. A lot of dust rose around the bedside area as well. As someone with a house-dust allergy, this was frightening. At dinner, we requested two glasses for the wine pairing set; however, as expected, this was not communicated properly. At around 11:45 p.m., we went to look at the relaxation area on the 8th floor. A male cleaner carrying trash bags said in an intimidating tone, “Are you done with the bath?” and gave us a suspicious look. We understood that the public bath closes at midnight, but we were disappointed by what felt like an attitude of pushing guests out and left immediately. Also, after using the morning bath, we found that some Häagen-Dazs in the relaxation area was half melted. I do not know whether there is an issue with how the freezer door fits or whether someone did not close it properly. After breakfast, we had to stand up and go find staff ourselves just to receive after-meal drinks; no one was making rounds at all, which was disappointing. In my opinion—regarding service attitude/operations and hygiene—it felt closer to a three-star Hotel level overall. About 90% of your staff are foreign workers; I understand there may be language and cultural barriers, and it is true that they served us earnestly with smiles. However—as payment is involved—the quality of service cannot be compromised. I sincerely wish you continued growth and success in the future.

The lounge, Japanese breakfast, and service are outstanding!
Riding the self-driving cart from the parking lot was fun. It was raining, but the lounge had a great view and offered a satisfying selection, including sparkling wine, canelés, and meat pies at night. The Room amenities were also well stocked. Dinner was delicious, especially the abalone dish. Personally, I felt it was a shame to have the spiny lobster served as fritters. Breakfast (Japanese style) was excellent—the horse mackerel, tonjiru (pork miso soup), green smoothie, and small side dishes were all tasty—and I was surprised that everything could be refilled. It was also nice that they brewed coffee using a siphon. What disappointed me was that because it rained that day, I couldn’t use the open-air bath in the Comfort building since it had no roof; I think satisfaction depends on the weather. The large public bath (?) had a small changing area, and with mirrors right in front of the lockers it felt uncomfortable when others were there; there were also only three shower booths in the washing area. It was nice that there was Häagen-Dazs in the Nest Room. The next morning the rain stopped and I could use the open-air bath in my Room, which was great. Many of the staff were foreign nationals, and their service was polite.

Pros: The in-Room ba...
Pros: The in-Room bath was very relaxing, and the amenities were well stocked. The shared large public bath was a bit disappointing because the washing area was cramped and there weren’t enough seats, but the view was wonderful. Cons: At dinner, the waiter assigned to our table did not speak Japanese well. The explanations of the dishes were hard to understand, and he could not properly understand or respond to our questions or orders, which made us uncomfortable. The reservation-only cave bar that opened this spring has a great concept, but I felt the lighting was too bright. This is more about my personal preference and does not affect my rating. However, it seemed there was a last-minute schedule change for another guest, and the bartender and another staff member were repeatedly going in and out behind the counter to discuss it, which made it hard to relax and significantly ruined the atmosphere. They also used a blender right in front of us at the counter—I didn’t expect such loud noise when coming for drinks at 10 p.m. Summary: The Facility and services themselves were great and offered an exceptional experience. However, I had concerns about staff quality. Overall we were satisfied since we didn’t interact with staff much during our stay, but we would not return.

We had a wonderful stay!
It was a highly satisfying stay. I stayed in a corner Room, and the endless ocean view from the window was incredibly soothing. Most of the staff were from overseas, but everyone was pleasant and assisted us in polite Japanese. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and you could tell they were thoughtfully prepared. The bath in the Room was great as well, but the only thing that bothered me was the number of insects. Would providing something like an insect repellent diffuser help improve this? What really stood out was the cave bar!! It was my first time experiencing anything like it—stylish atmosphere, a kind bartender, and I had a wonderful time. I slept with the curtains open, so I woke up during sunrise (it was cloudy), and an amazing view spread out beyond the window. Stepping onto the balcony and watching the sunrise glow over the sea while listening to bush warblers and roosters is something I’ll never forget. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. I’d love to visit again.

A bit disappointing...
I’ve stayed here several times before, but this time I was honestly disappointed. The Room was on the 3rd floor of the Prestige building, and with two large trees right in front, there was almost no view. The bath in the Room was lukewarm and didn’t warm me up, so I ended up using the shower to get warm. It’s a shame, because my previous impressions were very good.

60th Birthday Trip
We stayed here for a 60th-birthday trip with friends from high school. First, we were welcomed with a cart ride from the parking lot to the front desk. The cart climbs a steep slope, and it felt so unique and exciting. The meal was excellent—especially the spiny lobster dishes and the mixed rice. For the mixed rice we couldn’t finish, they kindly made it into rice balls for us, and we enjoyed them in our Room. It happened to be an open day for the cave bar, and we were told it was fine to just take a look, so we made a Reservation. It was a wonderful bar with a great atmosphere. They had prepared hors d’oeuvres as well, but since we had already enjoyed a full dinner and opened a bottle of wine, we only toured it briefly before leaving. Unfortunately it was cloudy, so we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, but the views from the lobby and our Room were open and truly beautiful. We also relaxed comfortably in the bath in our Room. If I have another chance, I would definitely like to stay again. This may have been unusual on the day we stayed, but there were so many young couples that it felt a bit overwhelming. My friend often stays here with her mother in her 80s and hadn’t mentioned that it’s mostly younger guests—so perhaps it was just by chance.

Of all the Accommoda...
Of all the Accommodations we’ve stayed at, this was the best stay we’ve had in terms of hospitality. Despite the pressure of providing service in Japanese, the international staff never looked tired and kept us relaxed throughout our stay. Their occasionally playful service was also very charming and fun. Something unexpected happened during our stay, and the staff responded with genuine care as if it were their own matter. Thank you very much for your help. We stayed for three nights and noticed several groups who seemed to be regular guests. With this level of service, it’s easy to see why. The meals, large public bath, views, service—everything. My spouse and I have become big fans. We will definitely return again.

Not suitable for elderly guests.
There are many steps, and I was afraid of tripping. The walkway to the Room has a steel plate laid at an angle, and I wondered what happens when it rains. I also felt the Room layout was strange. Because the sink is in an odd location, it was inconvenient to use after using the toilet or for washing my face in the morning. Yoro Valley would have been better.

I’m satisfied.
I visited for a one-night trip in Chiba. I was curious about the cave bar that had just opened last month. The weather was great, so I checked in early, made a Reservation for the bar, and confirmed dinner. I enjoyed the bath and meal in my Room, and after dinner I went to the natural cave bar—said to be the only one like it in Japan—which felt like a secret hideout and was really exciting. The weather stayed beautiful, and in the morning I was a little moved to see Mt. Fuji clearly from my Room balcony. Breakfast was delicious, and the bath was great too—I was very satisfied.

Late at night, we could clearly see the moon’s reflection on the water from the open-air bath. The food was delicious, and the drink pairing was excellent. The foreign female staff member who served us during dinner was very attentive, which made it a fun time and a wonderful memory. The Room felt a little small, but once you get used to it, it may be quite practical. We will visit again. Thank you for your hospitality.

The view is amazing while soaking in the Room bath.
The panoramic ocean view from the lounge was wonderful. There was also a wide variety of drinks in the lounge, which we enjoyed. The bath water was reddish-brown, and the hot spring quality was better than expected. The Room layout was excellent—whether lying in bed or soaking in the bath, we could see the beautiful sea and sky and felt truly relaxed. The meals focused on locally sourced ingredients, with thoughtful presentation as well. We would be happier if the paired wines were of slightly higher quality. We were surprised that refills for all breakfast side dishes were free. We felt refreshed and energized.

Satisfied?
Thank you for providing such a relaxing stay inside the property. Just one point: I was impressed by how hard the international staff worked, but at dinner we had to wait quite a long time at reception before being shown to our table, and even after being seated it took a very long time before someone came to take our drink order. Even if staffing was limited, that part was very disappointing. To all the staff—please keep up the great work. I’m cheering you on!

This is my second stay.
Last time, the dinner portions were so large that I couldn’t finish them, so this time I asked for a smaller amount. It was served in the perfect portion size, and I was truly impressed. Everything was delicious. The bath in the Room was also wonderful—I could soak comfortably without straining my neck and enjoy a wide view of the sky. This is my favorite Accommodation. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Shinra is the best.
I visited to express my everyday gratitude to my wife, and we were really looking forward to it. She was especially excited about the all-you-can-eat Häagen-Dazs and ate so much she even got an upset stomach—she said it felt like a luxurious kind of happiness. The hard work of the international staff really came through and warmed our hearts. I will definitely visit again because I want to see my wife’s happy smile. Thank you very much.

A relaxing in-room bath
Checking in by car for the first time was confusing. There was no staff, so I wandered around. When someone finally appeared and I tried to unload my luggage at the entrance building, I was told to wait in the parking lot and they would come get it. After waiting, I was then asked to drive to the entrance building instead, so I ended up carrying everything myself. The large public bath is in a tower, so it may be unavoidable, but it felt small and there are only a few washing stations. It was too close to other guests to relax, so after that I enjoyed the in-Room bath whenever and as long as I wanted. That part is excellent. Overall, the concept feels appropriate for the price, but compared with a high-end Ryokan, there seem to be too few staff and not enough training, which led to some questionable moments. I would visit again, but it doesn’t quite deserve full marks.

We were extremely satisfied!
On the day of our stay, even though dinner ended up being delayed due to an issue on our side, you kindly told us, “We’ll push the time back, so please come safely,” which was a huge help. When we made the Reservation, you carefully confirmed details such as ingredients we can’t eat, and above all, we were amazed by how much food there was! The dinner course offered a wonderfully varied selection, and we truly enjoyed it. The private open-air bath was also excellent—we were completely satisfied. We were also impressed by the attentive service from your international staff down to every detail. Thanks to your warm hospitality, we had a wonderful time. We will definitely stay again!

Accommodation with Views of Tokyo Bay
This Ryokan offered excellent Hotel-style hospitality. When I noted foods I cannot eat at the time of Reservation, the Accommodation kindly asked for details, and when I also requested changes to dishes in the course meal, they accommodated my wishes. The staff were consistently warm and attentive from arrival to departure, making it a very pleasant stay. The bath was an Onsen open-air bath in every room, and the water quality was great, so I could relax and enjoy it. However, the open-air bath on the balcony is not connected to the washroom and is fully visible from the living area, so some guests may find it difficult to use.

Spring Trip to Boso
If you’re in Tateyama and want to enjoy a slightly luxurious stay with an Onsen bath in your Room, this is the place. When you check in, you ride an autonomous cart for a short distance, which is exciting. We booked the most affordable Room, but we could still use the lounge while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji and the sea. Dinner was from the standard menu, yet they entertained us with fresh Tateyama sashimi presented with a dry-ice effect. The courses continued with fish and meat, and we were completely full. The citrus parfait for dessert was especially delicious. For breakfast, you can choose Japanese or Western. The freshly baked bread in the Western set was soft and pleasantly chewy, and it was a nice touch that they brewed coffee using a siphon. It was disappointing that reordering drinks or food took quite a long time to arrive, but the staff’s attitude—trying to communicate by sharing stories about their home countries even in unfamiliar Japanese—was wonderful. If I visit again, I’d like to upgrade my Room category and stay in the same building as the lounge and public bathhouse, since moving between buildings is a bit inconvenient and it can feel chilly on the outdoor corridor.

The meals were delicious, but the Room’s open-air bath is fully visible from outside.
Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The tableware and presentation were also thoughtfully done, and I enjoyed the experience. In particular, the freshly baked bread at breakfast and the siphon-brewed coffee were perfect for me, as I prefer a Western-style breakfast in the morning. However, there were disappointing points regarding the Room and the open-air bath in the Room.\nThe Room we stayed in had a bed by the window, but the curtains did not block out light properly. There was a large gap between the two roller screens on the irregularly shaped window, letting in a lot of light. As expected, I woke up early in the morning and ended up sleep-deprived.\nFor the price, the Room was small, and although there are private homes surprisingly close to the Hotel, there was no privacy screen at all for the open-air bath on the balcony—so it felt completely exposed. When I called, they promptly set up a bamboo blind for us, but it still wasn’t fully effective, so I used a bathing cover-up (provided in the Room). It wasn’t very relaxing.\nThere was also no information displayed about Onsen benefits at that bath.\nThe foreign staff worked hard, but they only recited memorized menu explanations. When told “Today’s soup is seasonal vegetable soup,” I asked what kind of vegetable soup it was; they just repeated “seasonal soup,” so in the end I never found out (lol).\nThe food is delicious and the location is great, but various disappointing points stood out to me.

The Onsen water was excellent.
I occasionally stay with your group, and the Onsen water was excellent. Although it’s close to Hanashibuki, the water quality is different, and I prefer this one. The amenities were also well stocked. It was nice that towels were available in the large public bath, so we didn’t need to bring them from the Room. The lounge alcohol selection was great as well, and the menu changed between daytime and evening, so we could relax there for a long time. By the way, the evening bite-sized item was a “tortilla.” The Room is compact, but with full-height windows it didn’t feel cramped. It’s convenient that you can move around the Accommodation in loungewear, but because the sleeves of the outer robe are wide, I almost caught them on plates and glasses several times during meals and in the lounge. Since it was cold, I couldn’t really take it off. Due to health reasons my companion feels uneasy about using a large public bath and cannot go there, so we always book a Room with an open-air bath. However, on our stay day the weather was bad. When I called staff that day to ask about it, I was advised to “use it when the rain eases” or “use the large public bath.” We felt reassured because there is a shower in the Room, but it is only just big enough for one person to stand in—there isn’t space for assistance. This time we were in an older building wing and there was no roof over the open-air bath. We could only use it once—on checkout morning—and even then it was during strong winds where standing up was difficult. I would like you to clearly state in the Room information that on rainy days guests may not be able to use the open-air bath. An umbrella had been left on the terrace as well, but with such strong wind we couldn’t even hold it up; my companion said it couldn’t be helped because of the weather, but still… At night both rain and wind were severe; throughout the night our window kept rattling loudly. In morning we found that although we had kept it closed, near-window carpet had gotten wet; a terrace chair had been blown into Onsen water as well—so unfortunately signs of aging Facilities were hard to ignore. Dinner is based on a Western course meal and takes about 2.5 hours. It’s probably very good for most people, but we found some dishes slightly salty/rich. If requested in advance or at dinner time، could you adjust seasoning? Perhaps because our table was by window، it felt very cold؛ there was lap blanket provided، but even so my body got chilled، so I excused myself before dessert. A staff member kindly brought dessert to our Room, and I felt your hospitality level is high. The mixed rice (takikomi gohan) delicious, but I couldn’t finish all of它,which felt wasteful۔ It would have been even better if leftovers could be made into rice balls for late-night snack。 I really liked Onsen water,so I think will stay again۔
