    I’d love to stay here again.

    First of all, I was truly impressed by the spacious open-air bath with an amazing view, and I enjoyed it countless times. However, while using the open-air bath, I could clearly hear voices from the neighboring Room enjoying themselves, which was the only slightly disappointing point—though it may be unavoidable. The Room had a calm, traditional Japanese farmhouse style and was very relaxing. We also thoroughly enjoyed plenty of local fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables. The sake pairing course we requested was perfect as well. Going back and forth between the Room and the restaurant felt quick as we enjoyed walking through the bamboo grove along the way. When I informed them in advance that my legs and back are weak, they raised the bed and floor chair height for me, and prepared a private dining room for dinner with a table setup, so I was able to stay comfortably.

    It was very relaxing.

    The Room ambiance, the meals, and the hospitality of the staff—everything was absolutely satisfying. In particular, the dinner tableware and presentation felt wonderfully special and made us feel truly pampered. We also booked an aroma massage, and we were very pleased with the therapist’s professional service (playing soothing music in our Room and carefully explaining each oil’s benefits).

    Very satisfied

    My family stayed for one night. We were completely satisfied with everything—the hospitality, meals, baths, and location. However, since we had a middle school-aged child with us, it would have been nice to have free Wi‑Fi and a drink vending machine. It may not be necessary if the aim is to offer a different way of spending time than usual, though. Thank you very much.

    I’d like to stay in a different room next time.

    We were absolutely amazed by the open-air bath. No matter how many times we looked at it or soaked in it during our stay, we never got tired of it—it may have been the first trip where we bathed this much. We’ve stayed in the Izu and Ito area several times, but many places offer meals that look beautiful yet have small portions and limited variety. This time, we were delighted with both the satisfying amount and number of dishes, and of course the presentation was beautifully done as well. We also found ourselves wondering what the baths in other Rooms are like, so next time we’d love to stay in a different Room.

    We were able to relax and enjoy our anniversary trip.

    We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. It was such a wonderful Accommodation that the moment we stepped into the room, we thought, “We definitely want to stay again.” The food was delicious, and we ended up eating more than we should. It didn’t affect our stay at all, but one thing we noticed was that the dish for the breakfast dessert had a small chip. Since there were no fragments or anything like that, we ate it without concern. From welcome to farewell, all of the staff were professional, and we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

    Ocean, Baths, and Cuisine

    All Rooms are private and completely soundproof, and the location felt truly luxurious, with nothing but ocean as far as the eye could see from the open-air bath in the garden. Although it was cloudy, we could see a starry sky at night when we turned off the lights, and it was wonderful to relax in the bath while enjoying a pleasant breeze. The meals were especially delicious—particularly the dishes featuring dashi broth. We would love to visit again.

    This was my first stay.

    What I liked first: From the welcome on arrival to the send-off at departure, all staff members were pleasant and attentive. I was especially impressed by how hard the international staff worked and how much they had studied. I had watched a lot of videos on YouTube beforehand to get a sense of the overall atmosphere, and it was exactly as expected—calm, nostalgic, and relaxing. The appearance and ambience of the Accommodation, the open-air bath and garden, and above all the signature panoramic view were all very satisfying. Because it is built in a traditional old-house style, there are some creaking floors, and compared with modern buildings with better soundproofing and insulation it can feel dated in places. However, that sense of nostalgia for a classic Japanese home actually made it even better. Walking out from the detached building along the well-maintained path through the bamboo grove, there is also a scenic photo spot where we took pictures on our way out. The view from our Room would likely have been even better in clear weather; unfortunately it rained and then turned cloudy that day, so we couldn’t see all the way to Oshima without any clouds. Still, when we headed to the main house for dinner at dusk, the beautifully lit bamboo grove—with rain-wet leaves—created an enchanting atmosphere that felt wonderful. Dinner was served in a private room with a bamboo-grove view at twilight, and thanks to the staff’s careful service we were able to relax and take our time. After returning to our Room for a short rest, we soaked in the open-air bath overlooking an attractively lit garden while looking out over the sea. We could see lights on Oshima as well as fishing boats’ lights—it was very atmospheric. We used it again in the morning; we could even see as far as Miura Peninsula and Boso Peninsula offshore, so I imagine it would have been an incredible view on a clear day. A few disappointing points: There was no TV on top of what seemed to be intended as a small shelf in the bedroom. A used tea portion was left behind at the bar space provided in our guest room. At bedtime there was no toilet on the second floor where one bedroom is located, so we had to go down to first floor. Overall lighting in Room felt too dim. The dinner presentation looked quite simple with monotonous colors compared with what I had seen on YouTube (it may have just been that day). The crab soup dish had a strong frozen odor. The simmered spiny lobster also smelled frozen; it was overly salty and I couldn’t finish it. The breakfast abalone thickened sauce dish also looked pale in color and tasted simply too salty. Also regarding water quality: The open-air bath water had quite a noticeable chlorine smell from disinfection. If you are expecting hot spring water like other areas offer, you may find yourself wondering about this point. While there are some areas I hope will be improved somewhat, overall I appreciated how pleasantly everyone treated us. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    We had a wonderful time!

    I’d been really looking forward to my stay after seeing the Accommodation’s website, and the meals were outstanding! Dinner started with an appetizer and a beautifully presented platter that was impressive in every way—visually, in texture, and in flavor. After that came a wonderful variety of seafood, Wagyu beef, takikomi rice, and dessert—we enjoyed everything to the fullest. Breakfast was also excellent; not only were there many dishes with great flavors, but the coordinated tableware had a refined charm as well. The open-air bath was great too! Unfortunately it rained, but we were still very satisfied. The next morning after the rain stopped, we had a spectacular view all the way to Izu Oshima. The ReFa hair dryer and hair iron were excellent, and so were the amenities. Also, the green onion miso sold at the gift shop is something I could easily get hooked on. The only downside was that the sound of rain hitting the roof at night was quite loud. Since it’s a single-story building, I guess it can’t be helped. Even so, it was an amazing Onsen Accommodation. I’d definitely love to stay again.

    I booked after seein...

    I booked after seeing the Room on YouTube, and I especially loved the in-room open-air bath. It exceeded my expectations—the view was amazing (the weather was great, too), and I enjoyed it many times. The food was also delicious, dish by dish, and I left completely satisfied. The only downside was that the toilet in the Room is a bit far from the bedroom… but the service and meals were excellent overall, so I’d love to stay again.

    Unfortunately.

    Four friends and I stayed here. Since it’s a luxury Ryokan and the Reviews were good, we splurged and were really looking forward to it, but the first thing that bothered us was the smell in the Room (maybe because it’s old?), and various inconveniences stood out. It was disappointing given the high price. The meals had many dishes, and we were reasonably satisfied. The service was also good. I probably wouldn’t return.

    Healing Accommodation

    This Accommodation comes highly recommended for anyone looking to truly rest their mind and nerves. The understated yet warm hospitality, the tranquil bamboo grove setting, and beautifully crafted dishes featuring seasonal ingredients will soothe both body and soul. The sweeping views of Izu Oshima and the vast Pacific Ocean right before you, along with a private open-air bath at the perfect temperature, offer moments of pure bliss. From fresh green maple leaves to abundant seafood, everything is presented with taste—refined, never overbearing. True luxury enjoyed in a private space is sure to become a lifelong memory. With its mild climate and many sights to see, Ito is an appealing destination well worth visiting—and easily accessible from Tokyo.

    Spectacular Views, Exquisite Cuisine, and Warm Hospitality

    It was a wonderful Accommodation where I felt completely refreshed. On the way to the detached Room after check-in, there’s a bamboo grove path reminiscent of Kyoto and some great photo spots opening out toward the sea, which really builds anticipation. The detached Room we were shown to was cozy, with a spacious open-air bath offering panoramic ocean views! You can even see Izu Oshima—truly breathtaking scenery. Dinner was delicious, with carefully prepared dishes centered on fresh local fish. Abalone, golden eye snapper, spiny lobster, and wagyu were all excellent, but I was especially amazed by the dashi served with the Spanish mackerel rice. Ochazuke is such a great touch. In addition to fully attended drinks starting with Isojiman sake, we also enjoyed Aogashima shochu that they somehow had on hand—it was fantastic. The staff were all hardworking and very pleasant. Thank you for an amazing holiday that melted away all my built-up fatigue! We will definitely be back!

    Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side.

    I made a Reservation after watching on YouTube. I was looking forward to the view from the open-air bath, but it rained that day and I could hardly see anything, which was disappointing. The Room feels a bit old, but it was clean and I could relax comfortably. As mentioned in other Reviews, I could hear noises like the neighboring door closing, which bothered me a little. The food was great both in presentation and taste. There was so much that I couldn’t finish the rice cooked in a pot at the end, but they kindly made it into rice balls for me. Breakfast was also very lavish, and I left feeling completely full. The service was very kind and excellent. I understand rain can’t be helped, but I wished there were at least a partial roof for loading and unloading luggage from the car. Next time, I’d like to visit on a sunny day.

    An open-air bath with breathtaking panoramic views of Sagami Bay

    We stayed here for a birthday trip. Ever since I saw photos of the open-air bath in the garden, I’d been thinking, “I have to stay here!” The dates we wanted were fully booked and we were close to giving up, but a last-minute cancellation opened up—so we made a Reservation right away. On the day of our stay, from check-in onward it was one extraordinary moment after another, and we felt completely immersed in the world of “Tsuki no Usagi.” When we arrived at our Room and slid open the shoji screens, there it was—the breathtaking open-air bath we’d been dreaming of. One look was enough to know we’d made the right choice. Dinner was also outstanding: the atmosphere of the main house, beautiful presentation that delighted the eyes, and flavors that truly delivered—we enjoyed every moment. With perks like the sake-in-a-barrel set and onigiri after dinner, we were able to enjoy the evening without even leaving our Room. Thank you to all the staff for your wonderful hospitality from welcome to farewell. We will definitely be back!

    Moon Boat

    After a 3.5-hour drive, we arrived at Tsuki no Usagi’s Accommodation and made it in time for the 3:00 PM check-in. As soon as we entered the parking area, the staff warmly welcomed us and carried our luggage for us. Then we were shown to our Room, and as we stepped inside with excitement, it was exactly as described on the website—an outstanding Accommodation. The ocean view from the free-flowing open-air bath was incredible. Enjoying the open-air bath while looking up at the stars in the night sky, and also while gazing at a single cherry tree—this was truly an exceptional Accommodation. Not only the open-air bath, but the Room also had a traditional old Japanese house style that reminded me of visiting my grandmother’s home in the countryside when I was a child. The food was also excellent. They served delicious seasonal dishes, and we finished every last bite! We visited for my wife’s birthday, and they even prepared a cake for her—thank you very much. We felt that everything about this Accommodation was perfect. We would love to visit again, and we look forward to seeing you then.

    With my parents

    I searched for an Onsen destination with ocean views to take my parents, who can’t easily go out on their own, and found this place. It met all our requirements: a guest room with an Onsen bath, a detached Accommodation, and private dining. The staff were polite and kind, and we were able to fully enjoy an extraordinary getaway. It was a truly luxurious experience, and I’d like to stay again for an anniversary or other special occasion. The meal portions may be a bit large for elderly guests, but everything was delicious and you could feel the head chef’s thoughtful attention to detail. The room was flawless—the ocean view beyond the open-air bath in the garden and the sunrise were absolutely wonderful.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    We stayed at “Tsuki no Usagi,” which I had been curious about for a while, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our Room was a detached, two-story, traditional-style house, and it was wonderful—there was a large open-air bath in the garden, and beyond that, the ocean! During the day we could soak while looking out at the sea, and at night we could relax in the open-air bath under the moon. The dining area is private both morning and night, so we could enjoy our meals without worrying about others. Every dish was carefully prepared, high quality, delicious—and plentiful. We were completely full. From the window of the private room we could see a bamboo grove, which was beautiful. We had requested that the Anniversary Plan cake and champagne be brought to our Room. When we returned after dinner, we were truly impressed by how beautifully everything was decorated along with the cake and champagne!! We also appreciated having a water pot filled with lots of ice. The staff’s thoughtful attention to detail and polite service were excellent. A couple of things I noticed: I would have liked an outlet near or on either side of the bed for charging a smartphone. Also, there is a step by the bed that felt a bit dangerous (it was my own carelessness—I tripped when getting up). Still, overall it was such a lovely Accommodation that I would like to visit again.

    The breathtaking vie...

    The breathtaking view and the in-room open-air bath alone were amazing, but there were also bathrobes and hooks to hang them. Relaxing outdoors on the daybed-like area in a bathrobe while taking in the stunning scenery and fresh air was incredible. They also provided a full pot of cold water, so we could enjoy the open-air bath again and again. It really felt like they had thoughtfully considered what would make guests happy, and we could sense their spirit of hospitality. We thought it might be all about the view, but the food was far better than expected—delicious with a rich variety of dishes. The anniversary course cake was brought out after dinner as a surprise, with candles glowing softly in the dim light, and my wife was pleasantly surprised and delighted. Even looking back to see if there was anything negative, I can’t think of anything in particular. We’ve stayed at higher-priced accommodations than this, but if I had to recommend just one place to someone, it would be here. Thank you for such a wonderful time—we’ll be back.

    The hospitality, cuisine, Room, and bath were all outstanding—an Accommodation with an exceptionally high level of satisfaction in every respect. We stayed as a couple, and the thoughtful touches such as sweets with tea at check-in and complimentary dessert service were especially appreciated; it was very memorable to see how genuinely happy my wife was.     The geta sandal straps on the way from the Room to the dining area are soggy.

    The geta sandal straps are very loose; they should be checked. Also, this may be unavoidable, but a Vietnamese staff member explained the dinner dishes; however, this isn’t a convenience store, and they weren’t suited to explaining meals at the dining tables—it made the otherwise excellent food seem less appealing.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    The spacious Room, the open-air bath with magnificent views, and the meal featuring plenty of local ingredients were all very satisfying. Both the alfonsino shabu-shabu and grilled dried horse mackerel at breakfast were delicious, though it might have been a bit too much.

    I appreciated being ...

    I appreciated being informed that a taxi would not be available for the return trip, but the Shuttle Service window was too short. I was contacted around 8:50 during breakfast starting at 9:00 and told we would depart at 9:45, so there wasn’t enough time and I couldn’t eat much, which was disappointing. Still, I think you handled things well under the circumstances. Next time, I’d like to visit again in a month other than February.

    This happened on a snowy day.

    The view from the open-air bath in our Room was amazing. Because we stayed on a snowy day, we couldn’t see a blue sky, but soaking while looking out at the sea and Oshima across the water felt truly luxurious. On the day of checkout, we wanted to catch the 11:17 train from Kawana Station, so we asked you to make a taxi Reservation for 10:50 and completed checkout around 10:45. However, due to the snow, the taxi never arrived, and we were told you could not reach the taxi company either, so you offered to drive us to the station in your vehicle. We waited at the front desk until the car was ready. We got into the car at 11:04, and even according to maps our arrival time at Kawana Station was 11:18. Your staff said we might still make it, so we headed to Kawana Station. But by the time we crossed the railroad crossing near the station, the train had already arrived. Since I was traveling with my mother (in her 80s), we couldn’t run through the station grounds, and in the end we missed it. After dropping us off, your vehicle quickly drove away from the rotary. The next train was at 12:06. With heavy snow falling and nowhere warm to wait—and with shops closed because it was Sunday—we waited for 50 minutes on a bench at an unmanned-feeling station. It was extremely cold.

    Basically satisfied.

    It would have been nice to have a small table in the open-air bath area. Also, since it was a maisonette-style room, having a toilet near the bedroom would be more convenient and reassuring for older guests. Other than that, we were very satisfied.

    We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

    To celebrate my husband’s birthday, we made a Reservation for the “Moon Boat” Room with the Anniversary Plan. As I am pregnant, you were considerate in every way—not only adjusting the meals, but also preparing a non-alcoholic drink for me instead of the Anniversary Plan sparkling wine. The Room felt like a private standalone house, so we could relax without worrying about our surroundings. The Onsen was spacious, and I enjoyed it many times whenever I had time. Since the weather was clear, we could see countless stars at night. Every year we take an Onsen trip as a birthday gift for my husband, and he said this was the best one yet. We would love to stay again.

    A welcoming accommodation where you can truly relax from the heart

    My spouse and I stayed for one night in mid-December. Not only did we enjoy a high-quality, relaxing time while taking in the open, beautiful scenery, but the heartfelt hospitality and warm atmosphere created by the proprietress and all the staff allowed us to truly unwind—an invaluable experience that is hard to find elsewhere. The meals were also a luxurious spread featuring local ingredients, and we were able to enjoy them at our leisure in a private dining room. The portions were a bit large, and I feel sorry that we couldn’t finish everything. We were moved by the beautiful starry sky seen from the open-air bath. We would love to return when work has worn us out, to heal and recharge as time flows by at a gentle pace.
