    The Accommodation Where Dining Is the Highlight

    True to its name as an “Accommodation for food lovers,” the table was overflowing with an incredible spread of seafood, meat, and many other dishes! A large boat platter of fresh sashimi—complete with a little flag for a fun touch (lol). I was also happy to receive a surprise birthday gift. There are several types of open-air baths with panoramic ocean views! The Room was relaxing, and the attendant from Kesennuma was very pleasant. It was wonderful!

    The meals are outstanding!

    If you’re looking for truly delicious fish, this Accommodation is a sure choice. That said, the selection of alcoholic drinks is limited, and they are very expensive… The drink prices were high. You can relax with in-room dining, and the Onsen is very pleasant. I’d like to stay at this Accommodation again.

    This is a great Accommodation where you can relax and take your time.

    Four of us, who graduated from university together, stayed here. We’re older now and can’t move around as energetically as we did when we were young, but we were able to spend a comfortable and enjoyable time. We also enjoyed our meals served in the Room at a relaxed pace, and everything was delicious—especially the splendid kinmedai (golden eye snapper). The ocean view from the Room was wonderful and really made us feel like we were on vacation. The view from the rooftop open-air bath was also spacious and refreshing, with a pleasant oceanfront atmosphere. Next time, I’d like to stay here with my family.

    This was the best Accommodation I’ve ever stayed at!

    It truly lived up to its name as an Accommodation where you can enjoy great food.

    A week before our trip, there was a landslide in Kawazu, and we were worried about what might happen, but on the day everything was fine and the trains were running, which was a relief. When we stayed at another Accommodation in Inatori in March, we saw Hamano-Yu’s shuttle bus with “An inn to enjoy dining” written on it. My mother, who was traveling with me, became very interested and asked the driver on the spot if you pride yourselves on your cuisine. The driver confidently replied, “Yes, exactly,” and now I truly understand what he meant. We had heard that both dinner and breakfast would include a sashimi boat platter, but with abalone and a large kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), we were genuinely delighted. We were also told the menu changes every three months, so we would love to visit again.

    The open-air bath and the views were outstanding, and I felt truly refreshed. The meals were excellent as well. I was amazed by how lavish the boat platter was! As expected from an Accommodation known for its food. I was satisfied with everything.

    An Accommodation that truly lives up to its name!

    Marketed with the bold tagline “an Accommodation for food lovers,” it more than exceeded our expectations. Both the Room and the Onsen were extremely clean. Rooms with an open-air bath are often musty, but we didn’t notice that here at all. And then there was the food they’re proud of—what impressed us first was the sheer volume! Not only were the ingredients excellent, but there was also a generous selection of seafood along with meat dishes, all seasoned with great taste and balance. The sashimi boat platter was lavish, and we were amazed to be served a full boat of sashimi not only at dinner but again at breakfast the next morning. They even made onigiri for a late-night snack from the rice we couldn’t finish at dinner—and it was outstanding. Many of the staff were young and energetic, and their sincere efforts—helping not only within the property but also with itinerary advice—made our one-night stay truly pleasant. Thank you very much.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay since the renovation, and my first visit in well over a decade. Unfortunately it rained, but the temperature wasn’t too high, so I was able to fully enjoy the Onsen. Between the large public bath, the open-air bath in my Room, and the private bath, I lost count of how many times I soaked... The meals were also very delicious, and I was genuinely moved to see a boat-style sashimi platter again after so long. These days, there aren’t many Ryokan or Hotels that still serve one. The staff member in charge of my Room service was very kind and attentive, which I truly appreciated. Next time, I’d like to try the spa treatments as well.

    It was a wonderful stay and made for an unforgettable trip.

    My husband, my younger brother, and I stayed here together. The Room was clean and comfortable, the large public bath with an open-air bath was wonderfully relaxing, and the location is outstanding. We happened to stay on a full-moon night, and when we went to the public bath in the evening, the moonlight reflecting on the sea created a magical “moon road”—a truly breathtaking view. A staff member also told us that the sunrise early in the morning is beautiful, and the next day we were moved to see a stunning orange sunrise from our Room. What surprised us most was the food. In addition to the luxury of enjoying both breakfast and dinner at a relaxed pace in our Room, every dish showed great care and attention to detail—and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff member who served our meals provided wonderful hospitality; thanks to their warm and attentive service, we were able to enjoy drinks and spend a truly special time. This is a truly lovely Accommodation with exceptional hospitality, spectacular views, and delicious cuisine all in one place. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Worthy of a gourmet Accommodation

    In-Room dining. Not only dinner but also breakfast was hearty and delicious. The fish was perfectly seasoned—everything was truly excellent. The bath on the upper floor was very relaxing. However, the entrances to the men’s and women’s baths were a little hard to find. I’d love to stay again.

    It was amazing.

    Thank you for taking care of us on my father’s Beiju (88th birthday) trip. He was delighted to wear the yellow hood and haori that the Accommodation prepared for him. Everything was outstanding. The baths, the meals, and the barrier-free facilities were all perfect. Watching the sunrise from our Room is a wonderful memory. If there had been a chair at the Room entrance, it might have made it easier to put on shoes. I also would have liked a little more rice at breakfast—there were so many great side dishes that we ran out of rice. We would love to visit again.

    This Accommodation is satisfying in every way.

    We stayed for two nights in the newly renovated Room “Shione,” and not only were the simmered golden eye snapper and fresh seafood outstanding, but the service from the woman who served our meals was exceptional, making the dining experience even more enjoyable and delicious. In the morning, we were greeted by the vast ocean stretching out before us, and for the first time in a while we were able to spend days that truly refreshed both body and mind. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again when we need a break.

    As an Accommodation ...

    As an Accommodation known for its cuisine, the meals were extremely satisfying. As others have mentioned, the breakfast and dinner boat platters, simmered golden eye snapper, and abalone steamed in sake were all high quality and delicious. The warm, attentive service in a traditional style was also impressive. From the welcome and guidance to our Room through to checkout, everyone we met was polite and professional, and there was nothing that made us feel uncomfortable. Overall we were very satisfied, but one small concern was that there didn’t seem to be enough vegetables in the assorted dishes at mealtimes, and it was disappointing that different vegetables were served within our group. As for the Facility and guest rooms, while they are old, they are well cleaned so they felt pleasant overall; however, we noticed some dust and stains in places, so we rated it 4 stars.

    An Accommodation Where You Can Truly Enjoy Great Food

    In-room dining was relaxing, comfortable, and worry-free. The simmered golden eye snapper was incredibly delicious—truly impressive. As expected from a “food-focused Accommodation,” the sashimi boat platter was also delicious and luxurious. There was meat as well, and we could hardly make it to the rice; we barely managed to finish dessert—it was almost too lavish. Breakfast was also served in the Room, so we could take our time. The attendant was courteous and wonderful.

    Exceeded expectations and highly satisfying

    The delicious cuisine, the baths with stunning views, the impeccably maintained facilities, and the attentive service—everything about this Accommodation was completely satisfying. I booked without realizing it, but upon arrival I learned that the Accommodation has received numerous awards, and it all made perfect sense. If you’re going to Izu Inatori, this is the only choice. Highly recommended.

    Exceeded expectations! We were truly touched by the surprise celebration.

    The Room, bath, and meals were all outstanding. The sake-steamed abalone was especially exquisite! They thoughtfully noticed it was my wife’s birthday and surprised us with complimentary champagne after dinner, which truly moved us with their hospitality. We will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful time!

    Impressive!

    Aside from the strong winds, everything was satisfying. The location is great, and the refreshing feeling of the large public bath is truly unmatched. I was very satisfied with both the portion size and quality of the meals. Next time, I’d like to stay again in a different room.

    Friendly staff and the best seafood

    The staff were wonderful, and we had a very pleasant stay. If you love seafood like sashimi, simmered golden eye snapper, and abalone, you’ll really enjoy it! Sashimi is also served at breakfast.

    The meals are excellent.

    True to its name as an Accommodation for food lovers, the portions were truly generous, everything was delicious, and it was outstanding. It was my first time seeing such a large and luxurious sashimi boat platter! It was disappointing that the bath in the Room was smaller than I expected. Next time, I’d like to stay in a slightly better Room.

    My second stay was also excellent.

    We stayed here last year for our wedding anniversary trip and had a wonderful time, so this time we brought our sons and stayed in a Room with an open-air Onsen bath. Just like last year, we were completely satisfied with everything—the food, the view from the Room, the Onsen, and the hospitality. The staff member in charge wrote a lovely message on the sashimi boat flag, which truly warmed our hearts. If we have the chance, we would love to stay again.

    Warm and welcoming hospitality from our staff

    I stayed for one night to celebrate my mother’s birthday. All of the staff greeted us with smiles and provided outstanding hospitality. We stayed in the N-type Room with a semi-open-air bath. It was spacious enough for two people to relax, and it was well cleaned, so we were comfortable, though there were signs of age in places. The view was amazing!! For in-room dining, the dishes were served at just the right timing, and the staff were very attentive. They also prepared a message on the sashimi boat flag as requested in advance, which made my mother very happy. It was disappointing that spiny lobster wasn’t available due to a poor catch. The sashimi boat platter and simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) are said to be their signature dishes. As for portion size, it wasn’t so much that we couldn’t finish it. The refrigerator only contained paid drinks; I think it would be nice to have at least some complimentary tea or juice. There was also only enough tea leaves provided for one serving. The large public baths switched between men and women morning and evening, but since the larger bath was assigned to women in the morning, I didn’t have much time to enjoy it. In the library lounge, you can enjoy complimentary herbal drinks and coffee, but I felt it would be even better if alcoholic beverages and soft drinks were also available. Considering the price, I think a bit more service could encourage repeat visits. Overall, what stood out most was the warm hospitality from the staff. It became a memorable stay.

    It was excellent.

    My spouse and I stayed at this Ryokan for the first time on our trip to the Izu Onsen area. The open-air bath with a view was spectacular, and we were also very satisfied with the open-air bath in our Room, where we could relax while listening to the sound of the waves. We enjoyed the delicious meals at a leisurely pace, and the staff’s service was attentive, kind, and wonderful. We would love to visit again someday.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    For my first stay, I chose the Room called Kaion. Since it was my companion’s birthday, I truly appreciated how kindly you listened to my plans for a surprise. The meals were outstanding—we fully enjoyed fresh seafood and were impressed by how delicious everything was. The attendant was also wonderful, making the dining experience even more enjoyable and memorable. It was an Accommodation that made me want to stay at Hamanoyu again if I have the chance.

    It was delicious.

    We stayed here as a reward trip for all our hard work. Our expectations for this food-focused Accommodation were high, but the service exceeded them. We finished every bite at both dinner and breakfast! We also fully enjoyed the baths! It was the first time in a while we were able to truly relax, and we were very satisfied.

    A Luxurious Moment

    We stayed here for the first time to treat ourselves a little on our wedding anniversary. Just as it claims to be an Accommodation for food lovers, we were delighted with the delicious meals, the spotless Room, and the relaxing large public bath. Above all, the staff were wonderfully attentive, making our stay truly comfortable and enjoyable. (Both dinner and breakfast were served in our Room; each meal lasted over two hours.) We’ve never had such a leisurely dining experience at any Ryokan we’ve stayed at before. No wonder so many guests return. We found ourselves saying, “That was such a lovely experience… we want to come back again,” together. This is a wonderful Accommodation that we’d happily recommend to others.

    A Trip to Honor Your Parents

    My younger daughter had stayed here with friends before and recommended it, so the four of us—my mother, my older sister, my eldest daughter, and I—came to stay. It was a Ryokan we were completely satisfied with in every way! Above all, the view from the Room is breathtaking—you can see the ocean right in front of you with white-capped waves. We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room; it was clean and simple, and the beds were very comfortable. The interior of the building is stylish and spotless as well! Both the large public bath and the private baths have amazing views. In the paid private bath, you can enjoy a beer while soaking in the tub, and there’s also a sauna and even swing-style chairs—it’s very stylish and perfect for young couples! Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. Even my 84-year-old mother finished everything. The food truly lived up to its reputation. After checkout we left our luggage there, took a walk nearby, and when we returned they kindly drove only our family to the station on the Ryokan shuttle bus. The service was attentive throughout, with warm and pleasant hospitality. This is a highly satisfying Ryokan that I can recommend to guests of all ages—from young travelers to seniors!

    An Accommodation to Enjoy Great Food and Beautiful Scenery

    This is my favorite Accommodation, and I have stayed here many times. Each visit offers the same comfort and a reassuring, relaxing stay. The view from the Room is wonderful, with a panoramic ocean vista that soothes the soul. Bathing while looking out over the sea was especially memorable, allowing me to enjoy a leisurely and luxurious time. Above all, the meals are truly delicious, and I look forward to them every time. The dishes make the most of high-quality ingredients, are beautifully presented, and were deeply satisfying. This is an Accommodation I want to keep coming back to for years to come.

    Perfect balance!

    The overall balance felt inconsistent. The Facility was well maintained and clean, which was great. Is the background music in the building a harp? The service raised expectations, with even the male staff wearing kimono, so we ended up comparing it to other similar Accommodations. When we received a confirmation call, I mentioned that my wife doesn’t like sashimi, and we were told shabu-shabu would be provided, but it wasn’t available at dinner. At breakfast, however, the staff thoughtfully accommodated us. There were various other small oversights as well, but their wonderful smiles made us forget about them. Many of the meals at both breakfast and dinner seemed pre-made; considering the room rate, it was disappointing. There was also very little our child could eat. Overall, all of the staff had great smiles, and that made up for everything. Thank you very much.
