A satisfying breakfast featuring fresh sashimi
We truly enjoyed the delicious dinner and breakfast. In particular, the simmered golden eye snapper—one of my favorites—was outstanding. It was also quite unusual to have taro as a side dish. A breakfast with plenty of sashimi is something you rarely find elsewhere. I gave an overall rating of 4 because the air conditioning didn’t cool the bedroom well and it was hot. If I’m craving great fish again, I’ll be back.

Revisit the coveted G-Type
I reserved the same G-type corner Room I stayed in during the COVID-era Go To Travel campaign six years ago (there may be only one G Room on the 7th floor). The dining attendant was excellent, and it felt like the Accommodation secures and treats highly capable staff well. She was a different type from the energetic, dynamic attendant we had six years ago, but her explanations were outstanding—for example, she mentioned that spiny lobster has become harder to source due to climate change, so tonight’s menu was designed around gentler ingredients. Not only was each dish high quality, but it also seemed they continually fine-tune and innovate based on feedback and requests from many demanding guests. Thanks to her attentive service, both my wife and I were very satisfied. The top-floor large public bath—which we didn’t use during the pandemic—was also wonderful. The open-air bath was especially impressive: they clearly prioritize a dramatic view even if it comes with some risk of being seen (the bath with higher exposure risk is designated as the men’s bath from evening to night and the women’s bath in the morning, which shows thoughtful consideration). If I had to mention one drawback, the in-Room free-flowing hot spring bath temperature was quite high; it only reached a comfortable level after draining about 10% of the water or running cold water at full blast for around five minutes. It wasn’t an issue six years ago in autumn, but it could be tough in midsummer. Since it is true free-flowing hot spring water, this may be unavoidable; however, staff seemed to measure and adjust temperatures periodically in the large public bath, so there might be some possible solution. For reference, Fuji Lake Hotel keeps baths at a constant comfortable temperature through system control, but theirs is a recirculating style of free-flowing system, so it isn’t directly comparable. That point was slightly disappointing—but overall this was an exceptionally good Accommodation. Also, while drinks in the refrigerator are paid items (coffee made yourself using a machine), coffee and iced water served at dinner were refilled for free upon request, which we truly appreciated.

An Accommodation Where Dining Is the Highlight
This was our second stay. Last time I visited with friends, and this time we came as a family of three. We enjoyed the Onsen before dinner and before bed, and again the next day after breakfast. The open-air bath at night, soaking while looking out at the sea, was an indescribably blissful moment—like drifting in a dream. The changing area was also very clean. True to its reputation as a “food-focused” Accommodation, we thoroughly enjoyed luxurious seafood. Every staff member was polite and kind, and we were especially moved by the thoughtful care from the dining staff. This time I visited with my daughter and grandchild, and both were very satisfied. The star-filled sky from the Room and the beauty of the sunrise were truly unforgettable. It’s a Ryokan I want to visit again and again.

Our whole family was very satisfied.
During the Obon holiday period, five of us stayed for 2 nights and 3 days in the “A-Type Room with Open-Air Bath.” Conclusion: We were extremely satisfied with everything—the Room, bath, service, and meals. Our whole family agreed that we would love to stay again. The Room we stayed in was not barrier-free, but it seemed to have the fewest steps. Even my 79-year-old mother, who is unsteady on her feet, was able to move around inside without assistance and enjoyed her stay. Also, my husband and children—who don’t usually use an in-room open-air bath—ended up bathing many times in this Room. Our favorite points were: “the spacious open-air bath that can fit four people,” “the mist sauna inside the bathroom is easy to use,” and “the terrace with the open-air bath feels amazing after a soak.” Lastly, both the staff member who took care of our Room and the front desk staff who coordinated with Inatori Station staff for the Shuttle Service were courteous and attentive in every way. It was truly wonderful. We will definitely stay again!!!

I’d love to stay here again.
Upon arrival at the entrance, they helped move our car, checked us in, and escorted us to our room. Our attendant served tea and explained the facilities. With many accommodations becoming more simplified these days, we were truly impressed. Our attendant also came by to discuss the meals, and at dinner she portioned out the simmered splendid alfonsino right in front of us. We felt this Accommodation truly cherishes the best of traditional Japan. On our way home, my wife and I promised we would come back. Wonderful hospitality. Thank you very much.

A Midsummer Trip to Izu Inatori
The views from the open-air bath and the Room, the staff’s hospitality, and above all, the lavish dinner and breakfast—especially the generous portions—were truly impressive. We enjoyed our stay very much. In-room dining was also wonderful. We would love to visit again in a different season.

An Accommodation You’ll Want to Visit Again
We were truly satisfied with both the meals and the Room! We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and the Onsen was incredibly relaxing. It was wonderful to be able to soak anytime without worrying about the time! The staff member who served our meals was very kind, and even in the morning, he shared helpful information before we headed out. He also saw us off until the very end, and we are sincerely grateful. It made for a truly wonderful trip. This is our No. 1 Accommodation we want to stay at again.

I’d been wanting to visit this Accommodation because it has received high ratings across various platforms. All of the staff were energetic, and the moment I walked in, I was convinced this was a great Accommodation. The meals were, as expected, delicious and very generous in portion size—I was completely satisfied. The bath was also excellent. When I entered the Room, there was a slightly strong smell—maybe it was the Onsen scent? It lingered until we left, so… If I could ask for just one thing: it was clearly written on the tablet, but when you guided us to our Room, I would have appreciated being told verbally that there is a free-drink room. But overall, everything was wonderful. Thank you very much.

The meals and service were excellent! My only regret was the bath.
This was my first stay at this Accommodation. First, when we drove here using Google Maps, it guided us through extremely narrow local alleys, so you should follow the access map on the official website instead. Please be careful. After arriving, check-in and guidance were very smooth, and we were taken to our Room without any waiting time. We had some time before dinner, so we headed straight to the large public bath on the top floor. The changing area and bath were thoroughly cleaned and very sanitary, but the water was simply too hot—I couldn’t soak slowly. That was my only disappointment. All hair dryers were Dyson, and the amenities were well stocked. There was a service of herbal tea and sherbet outside the bath area—both were delicious. Dinner, which I had been looking forward to, consisted of dishes that were carefully prepared from start to finish; “satisfied” doesn’t even begin to describe how happy I was. Since I’m pregnant and can’t eat raw foods, they kindly provided broth for me and even served the sashimi as shabu-shabu instead. It was incredibly delicious—I was truly moved. Even though I tend to eat 1.5–2 times as much as an average woman, dinner left me completely full. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of dishes with a level of satisfaction that matched dinner; it was without a doubt the best breakfast I’ve ever had at any Accommodation I’ve stayed in so far. Check-out was just as smooth with no waiting time, and they even brought our car right up in front of the Accommodation—service in every respect was outstanding. The only lingering regret is the water temperature in the bath—but it’s still an amazing Accommodation that makes me want to stay again.

We were happy that the new attendant assigned to our Room served us so earnestly, even though she seemed nervous. The meals were luxurious and plentiful, and they were excellent. However, it was disappointing that some foreign guests had poor manners in the women’s bath. The Hotel does post bathing etiquette guidelines, so we could see their efforts. Overall, it was very good. We would like to come again.

An Accommodation where you can enjoy great food?
We visited for the first time because my husband wanted to, and since it’s called a “food-focused Accommodation,” we had high expectations—but it was disappointing… First, the meals: the sashimi didn’t feel fresh at all. The spiny lobster in particular was terrible… It was watery, as if it had been rinsed while thawing, and the simmered golden eye snapper was far too sweet. The other dishes were also just average. Also, everything in the refrigerator was charged, with prices comparable to a Hotel. Drinks ordered via tablet were also Hotel-priced. The lounge closed early, and the bar was only for repeat guests. We would have liked to go out and buy something elsewhere, but there were no shops nearby… The private open-air bath cost 5,000–6,000 yen for about an hour. For an Accommodation fee close to 100,000 yen, I feel complimentary drinks in the refrigerator and free use of the private bath would be reasonable… It was especially disappointing because we had such high expectations. We won’t be returning. It seems to be a popular Ryokan, but personally I wouldn’t recommend it… Inatori really has nothing much around, and you can’t buy particularly good souvenirs either—next time I think Atami would be fine instead.

As expected from an Accommodation known for its great food!
This was our second stay, and this time there were three of us. True to the name “an Accommodation for dining,” an almost unbelievable amount of food was served. They seem committed to using locally sourced seafood, so there were none of the usual items like salmon roe, sea urchin, or scallops. We also appreciated receiving a call in advance explaining that spiny lobster could not be offered due to poor catches. We had both breakfast and dinner served in our Room, but during the long dinner service in particular, sitting on floor chairs on tatami was quite tough. The place we stayed the night before had slightly higher chairs, which made dining much more comfortable. As we get older our appetite naturally decreases, so it was honestly hard to finish everything… The Room and the facilities were clean and comfortable. Our Room had a view bath, but since we had to fill it ourselves it felt like too much trouble and we didn’t use it. In hindsight, we wish we had chosen a room with an open-air bath. Some of the staff seemed new to their jobs, but we could tell they were doing their best with their service, which was nice.

I really enjoyed my stay.
This stay was with my elderly parents. As you would expect from an Accommodation known for its cuisine, the meals were mainly seafood, and everything was fresh and delicious no matter what we ate. Meals were served in the Room, and the staff member in charge looked after us at both dinner and breakfast; the service was excellent. The large public bath also had many different types of baths, and staff were constantly cleaning, which made it very comfortable to use. If I had to mention a few disappointing points—this isn’t the Accommodation’s fault—but it was unfortunate that some foreign guests had poor manners. Also, it would have been nice to have chairs for in-Room dining (especially when traveling with elderly guests). Also, I felt there is room for improvement only when it comes to dessert (canned fruit was a bit disappointing). Overall, we were very satisfied. We would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here for the first time on a friend’s recommendation. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see the sunrise, but I was very satisfied with the views, service, meals, and Room. I didn’t turn on the TV and was able to spend a relaxing time soothed by the sound of the waves. It was an Accommodation I would definitely like to visit again.

Warm and attentive service
This was an Accommodation I had wanted to visit for a long time, and it truly lived up to my expectations. The cuisine, Room, Onsen, and service were all flawless. I have stayed at many well-known Accommodations, but I have never experienced such thoughtful hospitality. This year there were many typhoons, and the Odoriko limited express was canceled in advance due to a typhoon on our originally scheduled stay in early June. We learned about it through a call from the Accommodation. After that, they kindly consulted with us and helped us reschedule, and we were able to enjoy our trip safely in late June. I can’t thank them enough. It was the first time I’ve stayed at such a kind Accommodation—I was truly moved. Also, as I have difficulty walking, the station staff at Izukyuko Izunokuni-Inatori Station were very helpful as well. It became a trip we will always remember.

About Meals
It was very good. However, there was too much for us and we couldn’t finish it. We think it would be nice to have a smaller portion option.

Thank you for your support.
We booked a Japanese-Western style Room. From the photos, we thought it would have a table, but it turned out to have a low table. When we mentioned this to the staff member who showed us in, they responded immediately and kindly changed it from a low table to a regular table. We truly appreciate them accommodating the request of an elderly couple in our 70s so graciously. The food was delicious, and we finished everything despite our age—but we honestly felt like our stomachs might burst (laugh). A smaller-portion course might be nice. Seeing the younger staff working so efficiently gave us energy. We had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

It was the best trip ever.
There were a few minor issues with the amenities, such as facial lotion being available only at some sinks in the large public bath and only one hand towel provided. But the food was so delicious that none of that mattered. The signature simmered golden eye snapper alone makes me want to come back again and again.

A Special Occasion for Two
True to its name as a food-focused Accommodation, both the taste and portion sizes of the meals were extremely satisfying. The Room was spacious, and the in-room Onsen bath was free-flowing, available anytime; the view was great, and the bathtub was large enough to soak in comfortably—it was excellent.

The meals lived up to their great reputation, and the emergency response was excellent.
Two typhoons hit back-to-back during our stay, and even on the way there we were told that the return train the next day was expected to be suspended. While on the limited express, I contacted the Accommodation, and they clearly explained what they would do if trains stopped (they would drive us in the Accommodation’s vehicle to a point where JR lines were operating). Since the Izukyu Line that runs through nearby Inatori Station is prone to service suspensions, I was impressed that they had solid procedures in place for situations like this. In fact, because trains were suspended the next day, they drove us by Shuttle Service minibus all the way to Mishima Station (a Shinkansen stop), which took two hours. They also provided mineral water since it was a long trip and included a restroom break along the way—thoughtful care throughout. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of the staff again. The meals lived up to their reputation—both quality and quantity were excellent. The abalone in particular was outstanding: as sashimi it was fresh with a great crunch, and steamed in sake it had a springy texture with rich flavor—delicious! The signature simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was also very good, but more than anything I appreciated the service: our attendant made it easy to eat by portioning it for us and suggested white rice specifically for enjoying with the simmering sauce. (There was also kinmedai kamameshi as an additional rice dish, which was superb.)

The Accommodation Where Dining Is the Highlight
True to its name as an “Accommodation for food lovers,” the table was overflowing with an incredible spread of seafood, meat, and many other dishes! A large boat platter of fresh sashimi—complete with a little flag for a fun touch (lol). I was also happy to receive a surprise birthday gift. There are several types of open-air baths with panoramic ocean views! The Room was relaxing, and the attendant from Kesennuma was very pleasant. It was wonderful!

The meals are outstanding!
If you’re looking for truly delicious fish, this Accommodation is a sure choice. That said, the selection of alcoholic drinks is limited, and they are very expensive… The drink prices were high. You can relax with in-room dining, and the Onsen is very pleasant. I’d like to stay at this Accommodation again.

This is a great Accommodation where you can relax and take your time.
Four of us, who graduated from university together, stayed here. We’re older now and can’t move around as energetically as we did when we were young, but we were able to spend a comfortable and enjoyable time. We also enjoyed our meals served in the Room at a relaxed pace, and everything was delicious—especially the splendid kinmedai (golden eye snapper). The ocean view from the Room was wonderful and really made us feel like we were on vacation. The view from the rooftop open-air bath was also spacious and refreshing, with a pleasant oceanfront atmosphere. Next time, I’d like to stay here with my family.

It truly lived up to its name as an Accommodation where you can enjoy great food.
A week before our trip, there was a landslide in Kawazu, and we were worried about what might happen, but on the day everything was fine and the trains were running, which was a relief. When we stayed at another Accommodation in Inatori in March, we saw Hamano-Yu’s shuttle bus with “An inn to enjoy dining” written on it. My mother, who was traveling with me, became very interested and asked the driver on the spot if you pride yourselves on your cuisine. The driver confidently replied, “Yes, exactly,” and now I truly understand what he meant. We had heard that both dinner and breakfast would include a sashimi boat platter, but with abalone and a large kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), we were genuinely delighted. We were also told the menu changes every three months, so we would love to visit again.

An Accommodation that truly lives up to its name!
Marketed with the bold tagline “an Accommodation for food lovers,” it more than exceeded our expectations. Both the Room and the Onsen were extremely clean. Rooms with an open-air bath are often musty, but we didn’t notice that here at all. And then there was the food they’re proud of—what impressed us first was the sheer volume! Not only were the ingredients excellent, but there was also a generous selection of seafood along with meat dishes, all seasoned with great taste and balance. The sashimi boat platter was lavish, and we were amazed to be served a full boat of sashimi not only at dinner but again at breakfast the next morning. They even made onigiri for a late-night snack from the rice we couldn’t finish at dinner—and it was outstanding. Many of the staff were young and energetic, and their sincere efforts—helping not only within the property but also with itinerary advice—made our one-night stay truly pleasant. Thank you very much.
