    I had a relaxing time in the bath.

    I traveled with my grandchild and had a wonderful time. There are two bath areas, and evening events made the time fly by. The meals were a half-buffet style, but the pre-prepared dishes were tastier than the buffet items; the meat and tempura from the buffet could have been better. This is a Hotel where families with children can enjoy their stay. I would love to visit again someday.

    Stayed during Golden Week.

    Perhaps due to the low number of guests, the staff in various areas seemed less energetic. The service from those at the welcome drink station, the shop, and the front desk was slightly concerning. The room was undeniably old but spacious with a great view. The meals were delicious, especially the homemade tomato juice at breakfast, which exceeded expectations. The onsen was spacious with plenty of washing stations, which was nice; however, there weren’t enough hairdryers for the number of chairs available, so we had to take turns using them. It was disappointing that only one towel per person from the room was provided. It was convenient that yukatas in various sizes were available near the elevator for selection. Everyone in my family mentioned how cute and comfortable the toothbrushes provided in our room were to use. The Sansa Odori dance performance at night was spectacular and truly moving!

    A fantastic location with a direct view of Mount Iwate.

    Located relatively close to Morioka IC and reasonably priced, we chose this Ryokan. From our room on the 9th floor, we had a beautiful view of Lake Gosho and Mt. Iwate. The meals were not overly large in portion size, with a lighter seasoning; the steamed pork and grilled abalone were tender and allowed us to enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients. Tempura, steak, wanko soba, and other local dishes were served buffet-style, allowing guests to eat as much or as little as they like—though the steak was somewhat disappointing. The large public bath on the second floor offers views of both the lake and mountains with spacious and open bathtubs. The bath on the third floor is smaller with a mountain view but features clean and refreshing Onsen water flowing directly from its source. We usually avoid large-scale Onsen Ryokans due to inconsistent service or underwhelming food; however, this Ryokan exceeded expectations with excellent staff service and a comfortable Onsen experience.

    For my son's graduation trip

    We stayed for one night to celebrate my son's elementary school graduation. The meals, Onsen, and guest room were satisfactory without any issues. However, the service was disappointing. The front desk staff's response was not smooth, with frequent miscommunications. Late at night, the neighboring room caused a disturbance for over two hours. While I requested assistance multiple times, progress was slow and required repeated follow-ups. Although I understand that the Hotel is not entirely at fault due to uncooperative guests, their handling of the situation did not seem efficient or professional. What shocked me most was that there wasn’t even a single mention of the incident during check-out in the morning. It left me very surprised and disappointed. What should have been a special graduation celebration ended with me apologizing to my son and holding back my frustration as we left. Unfortunately, it didn’t become a pleasant memory for us, and we won’t be returning in the future. The Onsen itself was excellent though!

    The view from the window was fantastic!

    This time, my wife, our two children, my mother-in-law, and I stayed at the Property. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary by staying in a special room on the top floor. The Room was more spacious than expected and we were very satisfied. The view of snow-capped Mt. Iwate from the window was also fantastic. We were pleased with both the Onsen and the food. We would like to use it again for another special occasion.

    Premium Room

    The Room was very spacious, and I had a comfortable stay. The bath was very convenient with both an open-air bath and an indoor bath. The blizzard in the middle of winter also became a great memory.

    Everything is of high quality, and the scenery is especially superb.

    First, I would like to express my expectations and suggest four points for improvement. First, the dinner only had plain white rice, which felt a bit lonely. Even if the variety cannot be increased, I would have liked to have some accompaniments for the rice (such as furikake or nori). Second, there was no humidifier in the room. Third, the all-you-can-drink option only included beer. Fourth, the guidance around the front desk (including the parking lot) was somewhat lacking. Finally, the good points. We were blessed with good weather, and the view of Lake Gosho and Mt. Iwate was perfect. In fact, it was the best view I've ever had at any hotel I've stayed at. Also, the meals, both breakfast and dinner, were excellent. Especially the dinner, offering abalone at that price, showed incredible corporate effort. I took my elderly parents with me, and I would like to use this property again.

    I took it easy.

    From arrival to check-out, the staff's service is truly pleasant. I sometimes look for different Hotels, but I am always drawn to the comfort of 紫苑(Shion) and use it every time. The bath and meals are also excellent! I look forward to staying again.

    I stayed in Premium ...

    I stayed in Premium rooms Type B. Overall, it was a room that could be rated quite highly. A clean room, with no mold or water stains in the water areas. Luggage can be stored in the walk-in closet. Carry carts, etc., are placed on a dedicated carpet. The room refrigerator is a two-door type, with ice prepared. Beverages are more than sufficient, just in case. Even chopsticks and plates are prepared. The sofa is comfortable to sit on and allows for relaxation. The interior design is tasteful and very good. The room's bath has both an open-air bath and an indoor bath. Late at night, the indoor bath; in the morning, the open-air bath. It's perfect. The service was also flawless. Perhaps it's the nature of the local people. Everyone was nice, making it a very pleasant trip. It is one of the few Ryokan I can recommend.

    The scenery was wonderful.

    I was unsure whether to choose a Western-style or Japanese-style room due to my leg, but I was informed that the Japanese-style room had a better view, and indeed, it offered a truly wonderful view of the lake and Mt. Iwate. The half-buffet was also delicious. I was able to enjoy the onsen comfortably, although I was a bit disappointed not to find the floating gourds as expected. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

    Thank you for your hospitality. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal at this price. The bath was also very nice, and the group travelers who were there with us were also pleased, saying it was a good Stays. Thank you very much.
