    Room with Open-Air Rock Bath

    The room had an open-air Onsen, allowing unlimited access and enjoyment at any time. However, the open-air rock bath does not offer a spectacular view. The meals were incredibly delicious, and although many of the staff were international, they worked diligently and left a positive impression. The cake included in the anniversary Plan was also very tasty.

    The staff's hospitality was courteous, which was appreciated. However, the cleaning could have been more thorough; for example, square tables were wiped in a circular motion and not entirely clean. What stood out most was the faucet in the washroom—it was covered in black grime, and black residue floated in the water when poured into a glass. It was unpleasant enough that we used our own bottled mineral water for brushing teeth and other needs. The meals were delicious but included elements that felt unfamiliar from a Japanese perspective. For instance, cucumber carved into frog shapes accompanied sashimi, and artificial flowers were scattered on the tray for decoration. To be honest, we found these details concerning from a hygiene standpoint and somewhat difficult to accept. Additionally, while older elementary school children received meals similar to adults', their portions did not include main dishes like lobster—a detail we found questionable.

    I had a relaxing time.

    Stayed here during a trip to Izu with my partner. The view from the Room was great, the staff provided detailed explanations, and the luxurious meals were very satisfying. The private open-air bath in the guest Room was also pleasant. While insects might be a concern after dark, even a stag beetle flew in, which became part of our memories. It was a Ryokan that makes you want to visit again!

    Had a wonderful time.

    From the moment we arrived at the accommodation, the hospitality was perfect. We were guided to our room immediately without waiting at reception, allowing us to relax in our room. The staff member who assisted us initially provided exceptional service. Unfortunately, we couldn't thank them personally as we didn't see them after breakfast the next day. Being 7 months pregnant, I truly appreciated all the thoughtful considerations that made my stay very comfortable. I brought a cake with me this time, and during check-in, the staff noticed it and prepared everything for serving it as dessert—plates, utensils, even a lighter—without me having to ask. I was deeply impressed by their attention to detail. Their attentiveness and care in every aspect truly showcased their professionalism in hospitality. The meals, private bath in the room, views, and service were all outstanding. I will definitely stay here again!

    A highly satisfying accommodation.

    Although I was concerned due to prior reviews, the room and bathroom were very clean. I stayed with my wife and young child, and we were very satisfied with both the food and the bath. I would love to stay here again.

    I had a relaxing time.

    The staff greeted us immediately upon arrival at the parking lot, which was a pleasant surprise. They were very kind and attentive. The Room was very quiet, likely because there were few other guests. The food was delicious and satisfying! The sauce-based dishes were particularly tasty, and the green onion miso was so good that it could make you want several bowls of rice. The downside was the lack of Wi-Fi. It seems they are planning to install it soon. Also, some minor cleaning details could be improved. Overall, it was a relaxing stay. Thank you very much!

    Generally satisfied

    A Ryokan located on a slope, accessible by walking down. The Room is old, and the faded corners of the furniture are unfortunate. The meals were satisfying with creative menus and sufficient portions. Overall, considering the price, it seems adequate.

    A Journey of a Single Father

    I stayed with my elementary school-aged son at Mikan no Ma. Although I was surprised that it was the Room right by the entrance, it was quiet and conveniently located! The open-air bath was spacious enough for two people, and while there were a few insects since it's outdoors, mosquito coils were provided, which was great! The meals were delicious with an impressive variety and volume; we couldn't finish everything. Even so, they kindly made rice balls from the leftovers for us to take back—such thoughtful service! The Room was clean, and as an electronic cigarette smoker myself, I appreciated that there wasn't any tobacco smell—it was truly pleasant. I will definitely visit again in the future. Thank you in advance for your hospitality next time as well!

    Enjoy a relaxing Onsen and hearty meals for complete satisfaction.

    I visited this place for the first time in about seven years since my last stay. I stayed in the room with the best view. (According to other reviews, there seems to be a mix of Japanese-style facilities and Western-style condominiums, but I stayed in the Japanese-style one.) Although it was mid-June during the rainy season, I was fortunate to experience summer-like weather with stunning views of Oshima Island and beyond. The onsen in the room had just the right temperature, allowing me to enjoy a relaxing bath while listening to birds chirping—a truly soothing experience. The meals were abundant both in variety and quantity, offering a full taste of Izu's local flavors all at once. However, for those with smaller appetites, it might feel like too much food, so it's worth noting this beforehand. On the other hand, as this was a revisit after several years, I couldn't help but compare it with my previous experience and reflect on some personal preferences that emerged. One thing that stood out was that the quality of service seemed to have declined slightly. While everything was handled efficiently according to standard procedures, there appeared to be less attention to detail or communication with guests (e.g., during shuttle service or meal explanations). Additionally, in the room I stayed this time, there were only floor chairs provided at the dining table. Given that there is such a large window offering beautiful views nearby, having small chairs and a table closer by would enhance enjoyment even more. Although there are only a few rooms available here and each has different features depending on its design layout—making repeat visits enjoyable—I would love another opportunity someday to stay again in another room type because both meals and onsen quality remain excellent!

    It was a relaxing trip. There was nothing much around, but I could enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax in the Onsen. The mikan Room had no chairs, with tatami flooring throughout including the private dining area, which made it hard on my legs.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    I visited for a solo trip to relax and unwind from work fatigue. The accommodation was very quiet, the view from the room was wonderful, and my daily stress melted away. (The next morning, I could even see Izu Oshima.) The staff at the accommodation were very kind, which made me happy! The open-air bath in the room was clean and well-maintained, with onsen water at a perfect temperature for this season, allowing me to soak leisurely. My skin felt smooth afterward. The meals were filled with the flavors of Izu and were absolutely satisfying! I would love to visit again to rejuvenate myself.

    A bit disappointing

    I booked the reservation to enjoy a private open-air bath nearby. I was looking forward to using it even at midnight, but I was disappointed that the water was lukewarm during the night. While I thought heated water would be acceptable, I now feel that a natural hot spring might be better. As for the meals, I had high expectations based on the photos, but they seemed less impressive in reality. The golden eye snapper lacked fat and tasted more like regular fish, and the spiny lobster was small... Perhaps it's understandable given the reasonable price point.

    The Room, meals, and...

    The Room, meals, and service were all excellent! For meals, we could choose between dining in the Room or a semi-private space. We chose the semi-private option, which had a curtain at the entrance, providing a relatively private environment where we could enjoy our time without worry. The seasonal kamameshi (rice dish) was especially delicious. If I had to point out one issue, it would be that the water in the open-air bath of the Room did not refill after some of it decreased. Perhaps it could have been resolved if I informed the staff, but I decided not to as I wanted to relax fully this time. I'll make sure to mention it during my next visit. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful and highly recommended!

    Thank you for the wonderful time in Shizuoka!

    For our first trip together after two years of dating, my girlfriend and I chose Shizuoka and stayed at the breathtakingly relaxing accommodation, Nasu no Hana! Since both of us dislike crowds and wanted a quiet getaway, we searched for accommodations with private open-air baths and immediately made a reservation when we found this place. Upon arrival, as soon as we parked the car in the lot, a staff member came to assist us with our luggage and guided us to our room. The facilities were spotless, and the room was exceptionally clean! The panoramic view from the private open-air bath was absolutely stunning! We enjoyed a leisurely time together, and when dinner arrived—a highlight of our stay—it was not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. It included my first-ever experience with game meat like venison, which was delightful! Being able to choose in-room dining was another personal favorite aspect for me. The next morning's breakfast had such generous portions that I wondered if we could finish it all—but it turned out to be so delicious that my girlfriend and I polished it off effortlessly! We will definitely stay here again! Thank you so much!

    The meals were delicious.

    The open-air bath was very relaxing. Meals were served in the Room, which was satisfying. It seemed like there were only a few staff members, and the attendants appeared very busy. The Wifi connection was not very strong, so I hope this can be improved in the future.

    For anniversary use

    I used this accommodation for my girlfriend's birthday. The anniversary plan included dinner, breakfast, a No. 4 cake, and a half bottle of champagne. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was spacious enough for two people and even had a terrace. Both the toilet and the outdoor bath were very clean. According to her, the amenities like lotion and body lotion were of high quality. The phone in the room had a sound and volume similar to karaoke machines, which was slightly surprising. Dinner was more luxurious than expected, with perfect preparation and serving timing. The cake was topped with plenty of fruits and seemed just right for about four people to share. Many of the staff members were from overseas but were very kind; their effort in studying difficult Japanese was evident. They also explained the dishes thoroughly to us. As a result, my girlfriend was very happy, so it turned out great! Thank you to all the staff at "Nasu no Hana," an accommodation offering healing hot springs with stunning views, for your excellent service this time around! I hope to visit again if I have another opportunity!

    About the Accommodation

    This was my first time staying here. I stayed in the Warabi Room. I was surprised that mineral water was not complimentary and cost as much as 240 yen. There was no send-off upon departure, and I had to carry my luggage to the shuttle bus myself, which was very disappointing. There was no place to wash hands in the toilet, nor were there paper towels in the room. While using the open-air bath in the room, it became apparent that using the sink made everything visible, so I couldn't use it. I added abalone to my meal, but it was small. The amenities were minimal with only a set of hair ties and cotton pads, which felt lacking.

    Many disappointing aspects.

    The service was kind and there were no major issues, but it is disappointing that the accommodation left many uncertainties about whether customer needs are being considered. The bath facilities consist of private open-air baths in each room without a large communal bath, but due to the location, strong winds made it too cold to use in the mornings and evenings during this winter season. Although there is a shuttle service to and from the station, it does not align with the arrival times of express trains, making it practically unusable.

    First Onsen Trip with Kids

    Our annual year-end tradition of an onsen trip as a couple welcomed a new family member this year. We chose this accommodation, known for its excellent reviews, after searching for a family-friendly place near the Tokyo metropolitan area with options like rooms with private open-air baths and in-room dining plans. Thank you for reaching out a week before our reservation to confirm details such as our child's age, baby food needs, and diaper requirements. We had heard that the main building was located down some stairs from the parking lot along the highway and prepared ourselves for some effort. However, shortly after parking, staff came to greet us, carried our luggage, and guided us directly to our room where we completed check-in smoothly. The room was clean and contrary to concerns mentioned in other reviews about indoor baths being dirty; we found no issues at all. The ocean-view balcony with an open-air bath left a great impression with its stylish design and stunning scenery. A child care set including bedding for children, diapers & dedicated trash bins, as well as baby food were already prepared in advance—making it incredibly convenient even while traveling. As for meals—the highlight—they began preparation about 10 minutes before the designated time and served everything over approximately two hours. Despite occasional delays due to our child sleeping or crying during meals, staff reassured us not to worry so we could enjoy dining at ease. The dishes were far from typical lukewarm offerings often found at onsen accommodations; warm dishes were served warm while cold ones remained chilled—a testament to their thoughtful service. Without any flashy performances but grounded in genuine quality flavors reflecting local ingredients—it was truly delightful! In today's world where "doing things right" feels rare—this experience stood out immensely. All staff members appeared foreign-born yet provided attentive service filled with genuine care throughout every interaction which made us feel comfortable despite cultural differences. Overall impressions suggest that this accommodation puts significant thought into how best they can host guests holistically across departments without compromising authenticity amidst trends like inbound tourism or customer harassment issues prevalent nowadays—we hope they continue offering heartfelt hospitality just like now! We look forward eagerly toward returning someday soon—thank you very much! PS One minor drawback: adjusting water temperature within private open-air baths proved challenging requiring internal calls whenever changes needed implementing—and when requesting cooler temperatures instead resulted initially hotter outcomes leading brief back-and-forth exchanges causing slight inconvenience though ultimately resolved satisfactorily allowing enjoyable use eventually nonetheless!

    Healing Stays

    I recently enjoyed a solo Stays tour and was well taken care of. (Perfect conditions: solo stay OK, Room with open-air bath, meals served in the Room) The Room was adequately spacious, and the amenities were well-equipped. Being in Izu, the weather was neither cold nor uncomfortable, allowing for a pleasant stay. From the open-air bath attached to the Room, there was a breathtaking view of Sagami Bay below. The Onsen was at a perfect temperature, neither too hot nor too cold, making it very pleasant and enjoyable. The size of the open-air bath was more than enough to stretch out, and it could accommodate 2-3 people if you are with family. However, be cautious as the water level might not return to its brim once it overflows. (Before entering the bath, the tub was filled to the brim, but as I, being large, entered, a significant amount overflowed. On subsequent uses, the water level returned to a comfortable level but not to the brim.) Meals were served in the Room for both dinner and breakfast, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The seafood and local ingredients were creatively prepared and were very delicious. I finished everything, but if there is leftover rice in the pot, it can be made into rice balls. The staff who served the meals explained each dish carefully. The only challenging part was the stairs from the parking lot to the entrance of the Stays, which involved some climbing. However, there are handrails, and the staff kindly carried the luggage, so there is no need to worry. True to its name, it is undoubtedly a Stays with a spectacular view and healing atmosphere. The scenery, bath, and meals are all perfect. I will definitely revisit and stay in a different Room. While solo is nice, next time I want to come with my family. For those who are undecided about choosing a Stays, I highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff.

    Mother and Daughter Trip

    I used it for the first time. Mika's Room had a very nice view and I was satisfied. Dinner was a bit ordinary... It wasn't very good that raw food was served from the beginning, and the bath was a little lukewarm, so I asked to raise the temperature and it was just right. I could see that foreign staff were doing their best, so I overlooked some things. It was a bit disappointing because it was Friday and I had high expectations due to the higher price.

    [Location] The property is situated on a hill with a good view of the sea. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the sunrise while taking a morning bath. [Facility, Room, and Amenities] The facility feels a bit old, and there are stairs, which might be challenging for those with mobility issues. However, it seems well-maintained. The amenities were quite satisfactory. The fact that room access is via a passcode is convenient as you don't need to carry a key. [Meals] Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. We had a multiple night stay, and the menu changed, so we didn't get bored. We especially liked the second day's menu. We've stayed at various places, and sometimes we feel compelled to finish the food even when it's too much, but here, the volume was just right. Both the taste and the volume were excellent. [Customer Service] We were a bit dissatisfied with the foreign staff's Japanese on the first day, as it was hard to understand and the menu explanation was insufficient. However, their earnestness was evident, so perhaps it would be better for them to gain more Japanese experience before being on the job. Also, it was a bit disappointing that the room was cleaned despite requesting "no cleaning" during our multiple night stay. In these times of labor shortages, we are grateful for their presence. Other than that, the service from the Japanese staff was, of course, very good, and the foreign staff on the last morning provided fluent and enjoyable explanations of the dishes in Japanese. [Satisfaction] There were some minor complaints, but it was a great value overall, with good access to tourist spots like Omuroyama, Amagisan (we hiked on the second day), Jogasaki, and Izu Shaboten. The view from the room was also nice. Lastly, one more request: it would be nice to have a paper "menu." It's enjoyable to look back at the photos of the dishes and the menu after returning home.

    It was my second visit in seven years.

    We used this place 7 years ago and were satisfied with all the food and baths, so we decided to use it again. During that time, we were worried about its survival due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we were relieved when we found it on IKYU. This time, we used it for our 10th wedding anniversary. When I called to Confirm the Reservation in advance, they suggested, "Would you like to add a message on the dessert plate?" and I was able to surprise my wife on the day. The food seemed to have been upgraded from last time, and we were very satisfied. We would like to use it again. Thank you very much.

    Use for a friend's BIRTHDAY

    I was glad to be able to relax. It's a pity that I missed the welcome sweets. They made rice balls for dinner. The amount of food is sufficient, and there are welcome sweets and free ice water, so I don't think you need to bring extra snacks. There are many foreign staff, but if there is a communication issue, Japanese staff will respond immediately, and the foreign staff are doing their best. Perhaps because there is a private open-air bath, insects do come in, but I think it's manageable unless you're overly sensitive. There is a Shuttle Service, and although there are stairs, I personally didn't find them difficult if you don't have any leg or back issues. If I had to say, I would prefer a bathrobe over a yukata. The Onsen is not a natural hot spring, but it was just right and comfortable. Thank you.
