    I went there to relax.

Arrived aiming for the 3:00 PM check-in time. The Room was a bit old, but it was very well cleaned. I kept repeating the cycle of soaking in the open-air bath in the Room, getting out, and resting. The view from the Room was slightly hazy, but still great! Since meals were served in the Room, I really appreciated not having to worry about others as a solo traveler. I was satisfied with both the quality and portion size of the meals. Thank you for your hospitality.

    It was excellent.

The delicious meals and the private open-air bath with an ocean view were outstanding. We stayed with two young children, and the service was excellent, making our stay very comfortable.

    We stayed for two ni...

We stayed for two nights and three days. The meals were delicious, and the in-room open-air bath that we could use anytime was very relaxing. The view should be great, but it was lightly cloudy the entire three days, so we couldn’t see the ocean clearly. We would have been happier if we could have seen a bit more. Regarding the Onsen, if you leave the light on at night, an incredible number of insects will gather, so I recommend turning it on only right before you use it. What wasn’t good: I had informed them about my kiwi allergy, but kiwi was served as part of the dessert at breakfast on the third day, which was disappointing. Of course I didn’t eat it, but we were told on the first day that kiwi wouldn’t be served. The electric kettle in our Room was quite dirty with limescale.

    The Room is terrible.

The Accommodation building felt like an old apartment or a love hotel, which wasn’t clear from the photos. The Room was also small; for this, a Business Hotel would be cleaner and more relaxing. The food was delicious. All the staff were foreigners. I was truly disappointed that this is being featured on IKYU’s Hotel site. It made me want to reconsider using the booking site, and I don’t think I will stay here again.

    Relaxing

Perched on a hill near Mt. Omuro, the views from the Room are excellent. There is a parking area along the prefectural road; from there, you go down the stairs to enter the property. The guest Room comes with a private Onsen bath, allowing you to enjoy the scenery while soaking. Dinner was a course featuring local ingredients—spiny lobster, abalone, splendid alfonsino, Shizuoka beef, and more—and both the quality and portion size were very satisfying.

    Top-Level Dining Experience

This time, I searched for a budget-friendly Accommodation and stayed here. The Room was average for the price, and it felt like staying at a friend’s house where people smoke. The bath was an open-air bath with a washing area, and I was able to use it without any issues. The water temperature was well adjusted, so it was always just right whenever I went in. And the meals... I was extremely satisfied. Both the taste and portion sizes were excellent, and even the menu list was impressive. Just like dinner, breakfast also had many dishes, and I was very satisfied. Among all the Ryokan I have stayed at, the meals here were top-class. I was very satisfied.

    Enjoy doing nothing

A wonderful Accommodation perched on a mountain. Service, Onsen, meals, and views—everything deserves five stars. We truly had a lovely time. Thank you very much. The foreign staff member who assisted us was very polite and hardworking, which was another great highlight. In the confirmation call the day before, they also checked about the Shuttle Service, which is available free of charge. Although it’s in Izu Kogen, you can enjoy panoramic ocean views and escape the heat—an undiscovered gem of an Accommodation. Enjoying an Onsen while looking out at the sea from our Room was amazing, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared to appeal to younger guests as well; made with locally sourced ingredients, they were delicious and served in just the right portions. This is an Accommodation we would love to stay at again.

    Hmm.

The Facility is excellent. The Wi‑Fi is reasonably fast, and the approach to the Room is quite picturesque. The service is generally good, but it was difficult to get through by phone even around 2 p.m., and the private open-air bath in the Room is fully visible from nearby houses—there are several points I would like to see improved, which is a bit concerning.

    Luxurious Dining

I stayed here with my daughter. It poured with rain that day, but the free Shuttle Service from the station was a big help. Since it was chilly, I wondered if the open-air bath would be too cold, but the Onsen temperature was a little on the hot side, so it was just right. The open-air bath in the morning was also wonderful. Dinner was so luxurious that we were happily full. I was delighted to find panna cotta in the fridge, and tea and sweets set out on the table. The green onion miso was so delicious that I bought some as a souvenir on our way home. Because of the rain, we borrowed an umbrella to walk to the annex; it was an adorable eggplant color and I wanted to buy one. It felt like a hidden-gem Accommodation that makes you want to come back again.

It can get cold in winter, so please take care.

The room was sunny and warm with effective heating, but the hallway, toilet, and washroom were extremely cold—especially the washroom. Additionally, only cold water came out of the automatic faucet, which was very inconvenient. The private open-air bath in the room used onsen water but was not a natural free-flowing hot spring, which was surprising. In all the ryokans I’ve stayed at before with private open-air baths, they were always free-flowing hot springs. The water level decreased every time I used it, and by morning it had become quite lukewarm. There was also a device like a "shine bubble," but perhaps because of that, there were blackish particles floating in the water that felt unpleasant. Despite having only a private open-air bath in the room, there was only one towel and one yukata provided per person. For this price range, I would expect two of each or at least an option to replace them anytime as needed. The meals were average—neither particularly good nor bad—and drinks were on the expensive side. Given that it wasn’t cheap accommodation overall, my expectations were higher than what was delivered; unfortunately, it left me disappointed.

    Popular Room with Rock Bath

During the year-end, I stayed for over 100,000 yen per night. While I wouldn’t complain if it matched the price, this was by far the most disappointing experience. The walls were thin, making it hard to relax as voices leaked through. The rock bath looked different from the photos; there was a fence blocking any view, making it feel like just an outdoor bath. The water was circulated and had an unpleasant smell. The meals appeared luxurious in photos but were underwhelming in reality. The signature dishes of Izu’s three delicacies included a small bite-sized lobster, mysterious beef labeled as ribeye but felt more like shank or round meat that was impossible to chew or swallow due to its toughness, and a thin dried alfonsino fish fillet. The crab rice was overly watery and resembled porridge instead of proper rice. Moreover, the portions were so small that we didn’t even feel full after eating everything provided. As for service, perhaps due to staff being non-Japanese (possibly Chinese), during breakfast when miso soup spilled over accidentally, instead of replacing it with fresh soup as expected, they served it as is—leaving everyone shocked and disappointed. Overall quality felt comparable to a budget inn rather than premium accommodation at this price point during New Year’s season pricing! At least ensure proper meals are served if charging such rates! This has been my worst experience ever with accommodations so far—please improve basic standards for service and dining!

    We stayed here for o...

We stayed here for our first family trip after our baby was born. Since we chose the Baby Plan, the room was equipped with diapers, milk, a baby bath, and bedding for the baby, which was incredibly helpful. The room also had an open-air bath, allowing us to enjoy it safely even with a baby. The staff provided thorough explanations and excellent service. The food was delicious, making it a truly wonderful trip. However, there was an incident that overshadowed these lovely memories. Our car parked in the accommodation's parking lot was hit-and-run by another vehicle parked next to us. There were vertical scratches on the car body. According to the rental car staff, "This scratch seems to be caused by a door hitting it rather than during driving." It happened on a windy day; likely someone opened their car door and lost control due to the wind's force. We were charged a significant amount for repairs. There seemed to be a sign stating "The accommodation is not responsible for parking lot troubles," so no assistance could be provided from their side. Even contacting the police did not help resolve this issue, leaving us with no choice but to accept it. While we were extremely satisfied with the staff's hospitality, facilities, and food at this accommodation, we ended our trip feeling disappointed due to this unfortunate event. We fully understand that fault lies with whoever committed the hit-and-run and not with anyone at this accommodation; however, we sincerely hope measures can be considered so that future guests do not have similar unpleasant experiences in such situations again.

    Stayed during New Year's.

We stayed for one night starting January 2nd. The room was perfect for our family of three, two adults and one child. This accommodation is highly satisfying if your goal is to spend a relaxing time. The staff member who attended to us was very polite and provided excellent service. Thank you very much!

    It was excellent.

We used the ryokan to celebrate my partner's birthday. We were extremely satisfied, enjoying not only the view from the private open-air bath in our room but also the meals made with carefully selected ingredients. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and they kindly guided us step by step as we were unfamiliar with both the area and staying at a ryokan. Additionally, though I had forgotten myself, it seems I mentioned during the reservation that I was looking for a ryokan for my partner's birthday. They surprised us by decorating a dessert plate during dinner. While I felt bad for causing extra effort, their thoughtful gesture deeply moved me. This time we stayed in a Japanese-style room, but since there are Western-style rooms available as well, we’d love to try staying in one next time!

The meals were plentiful and delicious. The weather was also great, and the view from the Room was beautiful. The private open-air bath in the Room was nice, but it felt a bit small for a family. It would have been better if there was a large public bath available.

    Accommodation with Ocean View

The open-air bath offers a stunning panoramic view of the sea! At night, the starry sky is absolutely breathtaking! Meals include a course with six types of sake and dishes like grilled spiny lobster with rock salt and green onion miso. The well-balanced meals were delicious. I’ve found an accommodation I want to visit again!

I was able to gift him a wonderful 2-night, 3-day stay.

I stayed in the "Fukino Room." For yukata, women could choose their design, and I was able to wear a different pattern on the second day. The open-air bath had a breathtaking view. You could see the ocean, and the scenery was beautiful both in the morning and evening. The water temperature was just right, so I ended up soaking multiple times! The meals were served in the room and everything was delicious. From fish to meat to negi miso... it all paired perfectly with beer! There were also handmade sweets in the refrigerator, which were incredibly tasty as well. Additionally, I called ahead of time, and on the second day they provided Shuttle Service from the Ryokan to my destination. It was such an appreciated service. I felt a bit sad when leaving but thought that if I visit Izu again, this is definitely where I'd want to stay. The service was excellent; they explained everything clearly when I had questions and were very easy to talk to. Next time I'd love to experience another room's open-air bath view! Thank you very much!

    Enjoy Solo

I enjoyed a luxurious stay on my own. The dinner was satisfying, and the chef's special miso was delicious and paired well with everything, enhancing the taste of sake. The highlight was adding the miso to the crab rice at the end—it was absolutely perfect. It went so well with rice that I bought some as a souvenir. The open-air bath felt slightly lukewarm but was just right for a long soak, and enjoying sake while relaxing in the bath added to the experience.

Relaxed in the Onsen in the room~

Pressing the button released fine bubbles, creating a soft and perfectly warm bath that was incredibly relaxing to soak in. The meal served in the room was thoroughly explained by the staff who had been taking care of us since our arrival, and it was absolutely delicious. Even though we were full, we couldn't resist finishing the panna cotta prepared in the refrigerator—it was delightful! We stayed in a room with the best view, offering a clear sight of the ocean. I tried capturing the sunrise but unfortunately, it was above the clouds. Still, waking up early after so long felt refreshing. The green onion miso that came with dinner's spiny lobster dish was so delicious that I asked for seconds to enjoy it over rice. To my delight, they even gave me some as a souvenir when we left! With delicious meals and relaxing Onsen baths, even though it was just one night, I could truly unwind and recharge my body. I look forward to staying here again!

    Repeat stay.

Repeat stay. Consistently excellent service, meals, room, and bath. However, this time the bathwater seemed to circulate and once it decreased, it didn’t replenish, making the night to early morning quite cold. If only the bathwater issue could be resolved, this accommodation would be absolutely perfect.

    One more step to go!

The staff were very friendly and spoke Japanese fluently. While the service was thorough, it was unfortunate that certain aspects of traditional Japanese "omotenashi," such as sliding door etiquette when serving meals or offering tea refills, were not fully experienced—possibly due to cultural differences with the foreign staff. Additionally, as others have mentioned, while the open-air bath was wonderful, it felt quite cold when washing up, which could use some improvement. There were also times when calls to the front desk went unanswered; having a 24-hour emergency contact number would provide peace of mind in urgent situations. Another point is that the Shizuoka beef served was very tough and cut too thickly for chopsticks to handle easily. It might be better to serve smaller pieces or provide a knife and fork alongside it. Overall, while this accommodation may not be ideal for elderly guests, it can be recommended for younger visitors.

It was a warm and welcoming accommodation.

We stayed as a couple at this cozy and warm accommodation. The Japanese staff at the dining area, as well as the foreign staff who welcomed us during check-in, provided excellent service with smiles, showing great training. The meal portions were just right and delicious. The chef's green onion miso was particularly tasty and paired perfectly with rice. During check-in, we were delighted by seasonal Japanese sweets, along with delicious panna cotta in the refrigerator and chilled water in a pot—such thoughtful touches. While the building shows some age, it did not bother us at all. If I had to point out one minor drawback, having a call bell in the dining area might make it easier to order drinks or other items. We hope to visit again during another season!

    Hidden Hot Spring in Izu

After parking and descending the stairs, you will find the accommodation. Check-in is guided in a private room, and upon entering the room, you can enjoy a perfectly balanced onsen. The meals are exceptionally delicious, accompanied by the chirping of birds echoing around—a wonderful onsen accommodation I would love to visit again. The green onion miso was delightful, and the grilled horse mackerel at breakfast was exquisite. I also purchased some for delivery service. The panna cotta in the refrigerator was a pleasant hospitality touch. Since it wasn't a non-smoking room, having deodorizer spray would make it even better. I look forward to staying here again!

    One night is not enough.

I returned to this accommodation because I had a wonderful experience during my previous stay. This time was also highly satisfying, and one night wasn't enough. Since I went with my parents, we used the semi-private dining area, which was spacious and provided a very pleasant atmosphere. The thoughtful amenities like a diaper disposal bin, water thermometer, and an Anpanman bucket were greatly appreciated and very helpful. I will definitely stay here again!

    A True Hidden Gem

I set the car navigation system to reach the accommodation but passed it once. Thinking I might have missed it, I reset the navigation and returned, but even upon arrival at the destination, I couldn't find the accommodation—or rather, there was no building. However, there was a parking lot with a sign bearing the name of the accommodation along the road. When I parked there, a staff member came to greet me. Apparently, the accommodation is built below that parking lot (which is essentially down a cliff). Truly a hidden gem that sparks one's adventurous spirit. A Vietnamese male staff member handled everything from showing me to my room and explaining meals to check-out. His Japanese was excellent, and his hospitality skills were more polite than many native Japanese people. The room was compact with no extra space beyond relaxing or sleeping; however, this simplicity made it easier to unwind without distractions. The ocean view was beautiful as well. It’s an accommodation I'd love to visit again!

    Room with Open-Air Rock Bath

The room had an open-air Onsen, allowing unlimited access and enjoyment at any time. However, the open-air rock bath does not offer a spectacular view. The meals were incredibly delicious, and although many of the staff were international, they worked diligently and left a positive impression. The cake included in the anniversary Plan was also very tasty.
