    Very disappointed with the reception service and training.

    There were numerous issues with the reception upon arrival, leaving a very poor first impression of the accommodation. I handed over a sharp object resembling a toothpick found on the sofa to the staff, but there was no apology, which felt unsettling. Additionally, during luggage handling, an inappropriate comment such as "It got all messy" was made, causing further discomfort. During room guidance, despite beds already being prepared for the number of guests, I was asked whether futons were needed, giving an impression of poor awareness of the situation. Being asked about check-out time immediately after check-in also felt unnatural and came across as vague and impolite. Considering the high Accommodation Fee charged here, it is disappointing to see insufficient training for reception staff and a lack of basic hospitality. Furthermore, there was no tea offered during reception or room guidance—a lack of consideration expected from high-end accommodations. The hallways and rooms were generally dimly lit with areas where lights were off or possibly burnt out bulbs remained unattended—this added to feelings of unease. There seems to be inadequate attention given to facility inspections and lighting management. While dinner service (though mistakenly assumed private) left a positive impression thanks largely due polite staff interactions; breakfast buffet variety seemed limited while baths themselves neither stood out positively nor negatively overall experience-wise. Having anticipated much excitement around this trip after long hiatus—the particularly negative impact stemming directly from initial Check-In mishandling remains unforgettable disappointment urging immediate focus improving both front-desk training alongside operational maintenance moving forward!

    The meals are excellent!

    We stayed for a one-night, two-day trip to Ise for my girlfriend's birthday. The quality of the Room was excellent. However, I was surprised when the front desk staff entered the Room and gave an overly long explanation about it. It would have been better if they had asked whether we needed an explanation about the Room. The service from the dining hall staff was very polite and excellent, and all the meals were delicious.

    The accommodation an...

    The accommodation and room were clean, and the staff was very kind. The sunrise view from the room was beautiful. I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, with breakfast and dinner included on both days. All the meals were very delicious. I would love to stay here again when traveling to Ise next time.

    Stunning views.

    We had a wonderful stay during our three-generation girls' trip. Blessed with great weather, the view of Toba's sea from the Hotel was breathtaking. At night, we enjoyed the full moon, and in the morning, we watched the sunrise over the sea—a truly extraordinary experience. The Facility shows some age but has been well-maintained through renovations, and we appreciated the attention to detail in the Room's bedding. The meals were delicious, allowing us to savor Ise's blessings—everyone was thoroughly satisfied with this trip. Thank you for your hospitality!

    I had a very relaxin...

    I had a very relaxing stay in a spacious Japanese-style room at this traditional Ryokan. The front desk staff, especially the woman who assisted me, was excellent and very knowledgeable. While many accommodations nowadays host international guests, during my stay, both the guests and staff were all Japanese, which added an extra sense of comfort. The meals were also delicious. The Ryokan itself was great; however, there was a family with poor bath manners that ruined what could have been a peaceful and relaxing time.

    A luxurious Ryokan offering the ultimate indulgence in every aspect.

    We stayed at the accommodation on our wedding registration day. It became the most wonderful memory of our special day, filled with emotion and gratitude! When we mentioned that we would be submitting our marriage registration on the second day of our stay, we were treated to an exceptional celebratory dinner. The dishes featuring Ise lobster, Matsusaka beef, and abalone were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, made even more special by the kind words from the staff. The view of the sea, islands, and mountains from our room was breathtaking. Additionally, the elegant decorations in the hallways and beautifully arranged flowers added a touch of sophistication throughout. The Onsen facilities included ReFa showerheads and hairdryers—features that are especially appreciated by women. At checkout, despite knowing it might be a lot to ask, we requested a photo with our marriage certificate. The staff kindly took a beautiful commemorative photo for us. We hope to bring our parents here someday and visit again as a family when we have children. Thank you so much for providing such an amazing experience!

    We used your services to celebrate my sister and brother-in-law. The food was perfectly portioned, delicious, and made us want to visit again. The staff's service was excellent, and their thoughtful gestures for the celebration created wonderful memories for us. Thank you very much. However, while the karinto we had at the lounge was tasty and long-lasting, some of the items we purchased as souvenirs had a shorter shelf life than expected, which was disappointing. It would be great if more attention could be given to this aspect in the future.

    Anyway...

    The accommodation is conveniently located just an 8-minute drive from the station. Although I was initially worried as the shuttle bus did not arrive at the promised time, it arrived punctually at its scheduled departure time. Upon arrival, all staff members were very polite and provided thorough guidance. The lounge and room offered breathtaking views, with extended hours to enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks. The bath was exceptional, and small touches like ice pops in the relaxation area and tea in the changing room were perfectly timed. Most memorable of all were the delicious meals served for breakfast and dinner. It was evident that great care went into their preparation, with beautifully arranged dishes that tasted amazing—making every meal a delightful experience. Spending time on our room's balcony enjoying beer or freshly brewed coffee while watching sunsets or sunrises—even under cloudy skies—was truly wonderful. We had a relaxing, enjoyable family stay filled with delicious food and cherished moments. Thank you very much!

    Delicious meals

    I stayed here again after a long time. The Ryokan is not particularly different from others, but the meals were very delicious. The Onsen didn’t make my skin especially smooth, but I appreciated that the hairdryer was REFA. The rice at dinner was absolutely amazing!

    The service was excellent.

    We stayed here for my father's 77th birthday celebration. We had prepared gifts and planned to celebrate during dinner, but the thoughtful hospitality, creative touches, and attentive service added a special charm to the occasion. It turned out to be a delightful surprise for us as well. My parents were very happy, and it became a memorable and wonderful trip. We would love to stay here again!

    Every year, I visit ...

    Every year, I visit Ise Jingu Shrine. This year, I couldn't book the accommodation I usually use, so I chose this accommodation. The meals were great, and my mother was satisfied. Regarding the bath, the room had an open-air bath, but there were no handrails or similar support, making it difficult for elderly people to use. For younger guests or those with assistance available, this is a very good accommodation overall.

    I was very satisfied!

    This is my second time staying here. I traveled with my mother, and since we had a great experience last time, we decided to stay again. The food was delicious, and above all, the staff's hospitality was excellent, making our stay very pleasant. On the return shuttle service bus, as it was just us onboard, the driver kindly dropped us off at Futami. It was very helpful. I would love to stay here again when visiting Toba.

    Stunning views and exquisite dining

    It was an elegant journey. Soaking in the open-air bath in the room, I enjoyed breathtaking views of the sea and Tobishima Island. The private dining experience with dishes made from fresh ingredients left a lasting impression. I also explored the surroundings of the Hotel, including Awahiko Shrine and the beach. Visiting the private beach further away was delightful, and I look forward to returning in the summer. The shuttle service to Toba Station was very convenient for visiting attractions like Toba Aquarium and Pearl Island. I truly appreciate the warm smiles and kind hospitality of the staff.

    A Trip for Three with My Daughter

    Thank you for your hospitality. The building is a bit old, but both the interior and the Room were clean and pleasant. We only had breakfast as we have a favorite place for dinner. It wasn't a luxurious buffet, but it was cozy and delicious.

    A space to slowly savor an extraordinary experience.

    This was my first stay at this accommodation. I used the free shuttle bus from the station, and the driver was very courteous. The process from check-in to being shown to my room was smooth. It was convenient that towels were provided at the footbath and open-air bath, so I didn’t need to bring them from the room. Dinner featured local specialties such as Ise lobster sashimi, abalone, and Matsusaka beef—all delicious. Having a private bath in the room allowed me to enjoy it at any time without worrying about schedules. I would love to stay at this accommodation again if I have another opportunity.

    Relaxing!

    The accommodation exudes a charming historical atmosphere while offering modern all-inclusive (mini) services. Fresh flowers in the café and rooms added a thoughtful touch, creating a relaxing ambiance. The bath offered great views, and the shower and hairdryer were Refa! The body soap was MIKIMOTO, leaving my skin smooth! When I mentioned it was my husband's birthday during our stay, we received a lovely surprise service at dinner, which made us both very happy! The dishes were also incredibly delicious. Thank you so much! We would love to visit again!

    We enjoyed the dinner.

    Our family of four stayed here on the second night of our trip to Ise Shrine, after spending the first night at Lake Hamana. The price was similar to our accommodation at Lake Hamana, but please forgive us for being slightly critical in comparison. - The staff who guided us to our room seemed formal and made us feel unwelcome. While it may be a routine task for them, as first-time visitors, we found it a bit disappointing. - The public bath was comfortable with a pleasant water temperature. - Dinner featured delicious branded ingredients such as Ise lobster and Matsusaka beef. The staff were cheerful and attentive, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful time. While the breakfast buffet felt standard, this might be unavoidable. - Upon returning from dinner, we found only two futons prepared in our room for four people. After contacting the front desk, a staff member came but did not offer an apology or explanation for the oversight. When we requested that they move the table so that four futons could be laid out side by side horizontally as intended, they responded with "We can't lay them out without moving it," moved the table slightly themselves, and arranged two futons vertically by two horizontally instead—explaining that we should sleep with feet facing each other in this layout. After they left, we rearranged everything ourselves so all four of us could sleep side by side. While there were some unsatisfactory aspects regarding service response during our stay, we are grateful to the dining staff for their hospitality—thank you very much!

    It was a Ryokan where you can relax and unwind.

    Despite high prices everywhere, we were able to enjoy a luxurious experience at a reasonable cost. The food was delicious, and the young Vietnamese staff who served the dishes was very pleasant, inspiring me to work hard as well (laughs). The Room's open-air bath had a heat-retaining feature, allowing us to enjoy it at the perfect temperature even after falling asleep with water filled. The view from the Room was also excellent. We would love to visit again!

    I had a wonderful time. The meals were delicious, and the view from the window was beautiful. The ever-changing scenery of Ise Bay left a lasting impression on me. From the website, I thought it would be a smaller accommodation, but I was surprised to find it was quite a large ryokan.

    Thank you for accommodating us by changing our stay from the glamping area to a Hotel Room due to the heavy rain forecast. Your thoughtful response was greatly appreciated, and it allowed us to enjoy a safe and comfortable stay. The Facility, though slightly dated, was well-maintained and clean, ensuring a pleasant experience. One small disappointment was the absence of smaller towels like face towels or hand towels in the room, although bath towels were provided. The amenities were otherwise excellent.

    Second stay this year

    During our spring stay, my wife and I were impressed by the hotel's interior, facilities, furnishings, and bath. With a private beach and pool available, I decided to bring my grandchildren next time and immediately made a reservation for summer vacation. The view from the room was beautiful. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Early in the morning, I swam in the empty sea and encountered a school of small fish—swimming alongside over a hundred of them. Breakfast was delicious as well. In the evening, we visited a local izakaya nearby where the fried shrimp was exceptional. I look forward to coming back again!

    The meals are delicious.

    I used the shuttle service, and both the driver and all the staff were very kind. I arrived at 4:15 PM, but since dinner was scheduled for 7:30 PM, I had time to take a walk around the accommodation and enjoy a relaxing soak in the onsen. If I had more time, I would have liked to try the pool as well. The meals were perfectly portioned and delicious for both breakfast and dinner. The room felt a bit aged but was well-cleaned, spacious, and offered a great ocean view. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

    We arrived a bit early, but enjoyed a pleasant moment with beer and karinto. There were many varieties of karinto to try, which was delightful. The slippers were soft and very comfortable. As for dinner, the Ise lobster was a bit disappointing as there were only two slices of sashimi despite high expectations. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Mie Prefecture

    I stayed at Umi no Chou in Mie Prefecture for the first time. The Room was a Japanese-style corner room with large windows offering a stunning view of Ise Bay. It was truly wonderful. The dinner course was incredibly delicious, and my entire family loved it. We chose the abalone sashimi as an option, and it was absolutely amazing—definitely worth adding as an option. If I have another chance to visit Mie Prefecture, I would love to stay at Umi no Chou again.

    My boyfriend took me here. The room was even more beautiful than it looked in the photos. It inspired me to make my future bedroom look like that. The meals were delicious, and the breakfast was so plentiful that I couldn't resist having seconds. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

    The best accommodation, the best hospitality, and complete satisfaction.

    We stayed at the accommodation with four female friends for our first trip to Ise. We used a room for four people, and due to the hotel's circumstances, our room was upgraded. The view, spaciousness, and amenities were wonderful, leaving us very satisfied. After check-in, we enjoyed exploring the hotel's garden with blooming flowers and private beach before dinner. The most popular basic plan for dinner provided ample portions and high quality, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The morning half-buffet offered a wide variety of options including rice, porridge, side dishes, and accompaniments that made breakfast irresistible even for those who usually skip it. The onsen facility in the basement was spacious as well. In front of the bath area were vending machines offering nostalgic bottled milk drinks and free ice cream bars. Additionally, complimentary coffee and tea were available in the lounge on the first floor. Above all else, we were deeply impressed by the excellent manners, attentiveness, and kindness of all hotel staff members. Although located slightly away from central areas, we utilized a free shuttle service from Toba Station as well as taxis arranged by the hotel to visit attractions like Ise Jingu's Inner Shrine (Naiku) and Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks). It was our first time visiting Toba and Ise on this short trip but it turned out to be an incredibly fulfilling journey thanks to this accommodation. Thank you very much!

    The Room is spacious, and the meals are delicious.

    We stayed for one night in the special top-floor "Hana Pearl" Japanese-Western Room with dinner and breakfast included, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was spacious and clean. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, especially the Ise lobster at dinner, which was exceptional. The baths, including both indoor and open-air options, were quite spacious. The showerhead and hairdryer being from ReFa was a nice touch. However, it seems that the men's bath did not have a ReFa hairdryer or skincare products like lotion available; it would be perfect if these were provided on the men's side as well (apologies if I overlooked them). The Hotel staff's service was very polite and attentive. We would love to visit again!
