    A relaxing Room with a purple theme

    The Room has a simple, efficient layout, and the purple-themed atmosphere was very comfortable. The food was also delicious.

    Second stay

    This was my first stay in about 10 years. In the meantime, after COVID, the Accommodation had been renovated with visible safety measures in place. As before, the meals were delicious and so generous that I couldn’t finish everything, which I truly enjoyed. I also had some wine, and it was excellent. Last time there were dance performances and a fish-filleting show, making this Accommodation especially memorable for me. It was wonderful to meet again and talk about those times, and I could see how you have kept going and worked hard over these past few years. The renovated Room had slightly low shower water pressure, but the view was great and I felt refreshed. I’m also very grateful for the warm hospitality from your family and all staff members—it truly put me at ease. I hope you will continue to do your best in the future.

    Delicious

    I’ve visited many different Onsen, but the food here was exceptionally delicious. The meat was especially tender, and I was surprised that even the grilled spiny lobster was still so tender. I’d love to visit again.

    Highly satisfied

    My spouse and I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights) on the Standard Plan. The Room was spacious and very clean, and we were able to relax in great comfort. The guest room had an indoor bath, but the complimentary 45-minute private open-air bath was truly wonderful. Being able to soak side by side at our own pace was the highlight of our stay, so we hardly used the indoor bath. The open-air bath also had a lovely atmosphere and became a great travel memory. The meals exceeded our expectations. Every dish was delicious, with plenty of variety—we were completely satisfied. It was especially memorable to see my wife, who usually eats lightly, enjoying far more than usual, which shows just how good everything was. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, we expected similar meals each day, but on the second night we were impressed by a completely different course featuring grilled oysters, fried oysters, and Matsusaka beef sukiyaki. What stayed with us most was the spiny lobster miso soup at breakfast on the second day. Although it was small in size, it used one whole spiny lobster—an indulgent dish that tasted amazing and remains unforgettable. The staff’s thoughtful attention and warm hospitality were also excellent, making our entire stay pleasant from start to finish. Overall, this Accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way. When we visit Toba Aquarium again next time, we would love to stay here again.

    Away from the hustle and bustle of the city...

    Having retired in March, I stayed here with my wife as a treat for myself. It was the perfect place to get away from the city, and we were very satisfied with our one-night stay—the Onsen and meals were excellent. Perhaps because we made our Reservation for the last day of Golden Week, there were few guests and the large public bath felt like it was reserved just for us. The Room was spacious and comfortable, but it was disappointing that there were no chairs, and the water for the barista machine had a chlorine smell. Overall, though, we had a very satisfying trip.

    Exquisite Cuisine

    This was my first stay here on a trip with three friends. In any case, both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the quantity and quality were excellent! One concern was that the changing Room (men’s side) at the large public bath on the first day didn’t seem to smell very pleasant. By the next day it was fine, perhaps because deodorizing had been done. However, the view from the bath and the overall cleanliness were outstanding! As for the facilities and our Room, everything felt very clean, and even the scent of incense was wonderful. Lastly, regarding how friendly the staff were: it was great that we were welcomed upon arrival, but when a tall male staff member carried our luggage, I noticed what seemed like an awkward smile. I think it may have been because we had a lot of luggage, but it stood out to me. If I misunderstood, I apologize. We had larger suitcases because we were planning a 4–5 night trip starting from this Ryokan. From check-in onward—the welcome service with wasanbon sweets and matcha tea, guidance to our Room, service at the dining venue, and finally seeing us off—everything was excellent! Since we live in Kanto, we don’t often have occasion to go as far as Mie Prefecture, but if we visit again in the future, we would love to stay here again.

    The large public bath is...

    We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room with a private open-air bath. The Room felt newly added and was clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were also good. The issue was the large public bath: except for the open-air bath, there was no fresh water being added and of course no overflow, so it was a recirculating bath, and I hesitated to get in. In the end, we used the private open-air bath in our Room.

    You’ll definitely want to stay again.

    Every year, around the end of crab season (March), we used to travel to the Sea of Japan. This time, for the first time, I stayed at this Hotel in my wife’s birthday month to celebrate her birthday and express my everyday gratitude. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a bed Room with a private open-air bath. As someone who loves baths, I was able to relax in great comfort. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were generous and very delicious. In particular, the “filefish liver ponzu” I had been looking forward to at dinner was truly outstanding, and since both my wife and I enjoy alcohol, we ended up drinking a little too much (laughs). In any case, seeing my wife so happy made me feel that choosing this Hotel was absolutely the right decision. We will stay again next year. PS It was a bit disappointing that the vending machine for bottled water is only located outside the building.

    You’re doing your best, but…

    Of course the food was tasty, but I had imagined something even better on my own… Both the spiny lobster and Matsusaka beef were good, but it still felt a bit lacking, and I didn’t come away thinking it was truly luxurious. Also, having to go up and down the five flights of stairs multiple times was tough.

    Surprised by the luxurious cuisine!

    We were looking for a Ryokan in the Ise-Toba area for a 3-night stay with our family of four, accessible by car, to relax at the end of the year! We chose a room with a private open-air bath to unwind, and since there weren’t many rooms in total, the public bath wasn’t crowded at all. The atmosphere was calm without any hustle and bustle from other guests, allowing us to truly relax. Thanks to the thoughtful arrangements by the hostess, they used ingredients we wanted in our meals. The luxurious dishes were so satisfying that we were completely full. When we mentioned that our room felt dry due to air conditioning and asked about a humidifier, they kindly lent us one from their office. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us!

    I was looking forwar...

    I was looking forward to enjoying the spiny lobster and premium wagyu beef, but it wasn't as impressive as the title suggested. Since it had an open-air bath, I expected there to be a washing area like other Ryokans, but there wasn't one, so it seemed necessary to go to the larger bath. The Room was spacious and very nice.

    The hospitality was excellent.

    We stayed here for a trip with my wife and chose this accommodation as our base for visiting Ise. It was less than a 40-minute drive from Ise Jingu, making it very accessible. Upon arriving at the parking lot, a staff member was already waiting to assist us and carried our luggage to the room. We had reserved a twin room on the 4th floor with Simmons beds—a feature that deserves more emphasis. Each ryokan has its own focus, but during this stay, we experienced the perfect combination of comfort, dining, and sleep quality. It was truly an excellent accommodation, and we would love to stay again. The surrounding area is also full of attractions. Just a 5-minute walk away is "Uminchu Terrace," offering breathtaking views. A 30-minute drive will take you to "Yokoyama Observatory," where you can enjoy panoramic views of the ria coastline. Not only Ise but Toba as well proved to be wonderful destinations.

    I would love to visit again.

    I occasionally visit Toba for fishing, but this was my first time making a reservation here. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the staff's hospitality. Everyone was so kind and friendly, making it a pleasant two-day stay. The room was even upgraded due to a cancellation, providing an exceptional experience.     Recommended for families with babies!

    It was a wonderful experience! This was our first trip with our 1-year-old baby, so we were looking for an accommodation with a baby-friendly plan. Since it was a two-family trip, we also wanted a place with delicious meals that my parents would enjoy. The meals were served in a spacious private room, allowing us to relax without encountering other guests (thanks to this setup, we didn’t have to worry about disturbing others. The only time we saw other guests was during check-in and check-out). The room was clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and filling, and the staff kindly lent toys for our child, which made us very happy. All the staff members were Japanese and provided warm hospitality. My parents especially appreciated the welcome drink of matcha tea. On our way home, they even gave each of us frozen bottled tea, which was incredibly helpful on such a hot day. I truly hope accommodations like this continue for years to come! Highly recommended for those traveling with babies!

    The staff's hospitality was wonderful.

    This was my first stay at the accommodation. At check-in, I was offered sencha as a welcome drink, which was very relaxing. Being close to the sea, I looked forward to the meals. While I appreciated the fusion of French and Japanese cuisine and noticed the attention to detail in seasoning, I personally found the sauces for abalone and lobster slightly lacking. A simpler seasoning that highlights the ingredients themselves might have been more enjoyable for me. The freshly shaved bonito flakes at breakfast were very delicious and satisfying. The shared hallway lighting on the accommodation floor felt a bit dim and slightly unsettling; rooms on renovated floors might be more recommended. The farewell from everyone during check-out and receiving frozen tea as a parting gift made me feel warmly welcomed by their hospitality.

    Great Accommodation

    The room with a private open-air bath was spacious and clean, offering a relaxing view from the bath! While the ocean view was distant, the surrounding trees, chirping birds, and outdoor bed where you could lie down while still wet were absolutely amazing both in the early morning and evening. The public bath felt slightly dated but had excellent water quality. The meals were incredibly luxurious with generous portions of fresh seafood that were almost too much to finish—absolutely delicious. When my child, who wasn’t feeling well and didn’t have much appetite, mentioned disliking tomatoes, a staff member kindly informed the kitchen. They immediately adjusted one dish to exclude tomatoes just for my child. Later that night when I requested rice balls thinking my child might get hungry later on, they provided them as a complimentary service. The next morning at breakfast, another staff member was already aware of my child's condition and showed great care—it was truly heartwarming! We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days here and had an amazing time! My mother with mobility issues also enjoyed her stay so much—it made me very happy! I would love to visit again! Thank you so much!!

    I was satisfied.

    It was my first time in Toba in a while. I had been curious about this accommodation for some time, so I was looking forward to it. In conclusion, I was satisfied overall. It felt like a mix of the best aspects of an Accommodation, Hotel, and Ryokan. Now for the points of dissatisfaction: First, the hostess? She persistently informed us about her son’s dance performance. Even when we were relaxing in our room, she called us to inform us again. It would be better to keep such announcements moderate. Next is the dining area; we were guided to a semi-private room near the entrance passage where other guests passed by frequently and staff waited right in front of us. The semi-private space could have been separated with curtains but they were left open, making it hard to enjoy meals comfortably. I’ve stayed at various accommodations in Toba before, but this one scores 3.5 out of 5 across all aspects—Onsen availability is limited; views, cuisine, facilities, and service don’t particularly stand out compared to others; yet the price feels relatively high. Overall it met expectations—for better or worse—but these reasons explain why I hadn’t chosen this place earlier despite being curious about it before now. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning here again.

    Anniversary Trip

    About 25 years ago, we stayed here during a family trip with my grandmother. This was our second stay, and the renovated rooms and dining areas were much improved. The room with an open-air bath and moon-viewing platform was exceptional. Although it rained and was windy, we still enjoyed the bath very much. Be sure to check for this plan as it appears at the very end of the search results. This time, we stayed for our wedding anniversary trip. Thank you for considering our food preferences and providing complimentary fruits—it was a thoughtful gesture. The meals were also delicious!

    Accommodation with Delicious Meals

    We made a reservation to relax as a couple. The room was upgraded, and we enjoyed the open-air bath. Every meal was delicious, and we were able to finish everything, which is rare for us. The staff provided excellent service. It would have been nice to have coffee or tea in the room for a relaxing moment, and the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, which was slightly disappointing. We would love to visit again in autumn or winter.

    We stayed in a room with an open-air bath for one night as a family of five. After checking in, we were served matcha tea in the lobby, which was very delicious! In the evening, we enjoyed a performance of traditional Japanese dance and experienced the charm of Japan's classic culture. The meals were served in a private room, allowing us to relax, making it highly recommended for families with children or elderly guests. The staff were very kind and provided excellent service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere at this accommodation. We would love to visit again!

    We chose a Room with an open-air bath for our family trip. The Room was spacious and the bath was excellent. Since we had a large group for meals and a one-year-old child, we were grateful to have been given a private room. The meals were also very delicious.     A Gift Trip for Parents

    I used this as a gift for my parents. From the moment they entered, they received the best hospitality, and it seems the staff treated them very well.     Family Trip

    We were upgraded at no extra charge as the room was available. The open-air bath in the room offered a great view of the sea. You can soak in the hot water while feeling the sea breeze, which makes for a luxurious experience. We enjoyed fresh sashimi and shabu-shabu with green onions served in Ise lobster soup. After the meal, we were entertained by a new dance show performed by the landlady's son. We were moved by the family's heartfelt hospitality and couldn't help but want to support this property.

    Enjoy the Scenery of Toba

    I stayed at the Stays for the New Year during my pilgrimage to Ise. The room was renovated, clean, and well-heated, providing a relaxing moment with coffee while gazing at the sea and islands through the wall-to-wall windows. Dinner was luxurious, with fresh sashimi including liver-attached filefish, sweet Ise lobster, juicy fried oysters, pumpkin pie stew, beef, abalone, and more. The milk pudding dessert was also delicious. Although I'm not a light eater, there was so much food that I couldn't finish it, and it was hard to leave some behind. I thought a slightly smaller portion would have been more comfortable. The morning rice cooked in a pot was also delicious, and I wished I could have taken some home as rice balls since I couldn't eat multiple bowls. The bath alternated between men and women in the morning and evening, and from the morning bath, I enjoyed the beautiful colors of the sky and sea around sunrise. As others have mentioned, the shower water pressure was weak, taking time to rinse, and I thought there might be times when it wasn't enough. All the staff were kind, offering to take photos in advance and seeing us off until the end, making for a pleasant departure. Thank you very much.

    I want to visit again next year!

    I made a reservation for a plan where you can enjoy kawahagi sashimi with liver ponzu as a birthday present for my partner. After checking in, the matcha service in the lobby and the view of the sea relieved the fatigue of driving. The building itself seems to be old, but the renovated room is stylish, easy to use, and comfortable, and I was happy to find Sekkisei lotion and emulsion provided in the washroom and onsen (for women only?). The meals exceeded expectations! The kawahagi sashimi with liver ponzu for dinner was truly delicious, and I understand why there are many repeat customers. I also enjoyed the shabu-shabu with green onions and mizuna in shrimp broth, and I was very grateful for the hotel's thoughtful gesture of singing a birthday song in a low voice as a surprise celebration with a fruit plate. The breakfast of freshly shaved bonito flakes and soy sauce-marinated egg over freshly cooked rice, miso soup served in an iron pot with fish scraps, and other rice accompaniments were so delicious that he had four bowls of rice, and I had three bowls. The staff's subtle and heartwarming hospitality, onsen, and gourmet food refreshed both mind and body, and I feel ready to tackle the New Year. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!
