    Enjoy a relaxing stay with a 12:00 PM check-out.

    You can soak in the Onsen as much as you like, even late at night or early in the morning. Checkout is at 12:00 noon, so we were able to relax even after breakfast. We chose the buffet Plan, and it was great that there were none of the typical family-buffet items like curry, pasta, or hamburg steaks—more like an adults-only seafood feast. The abalone was served whole. We could also get refills as much as we wanted of grilled half spiny lobster, turban shell, steak, and kinmedai nigiri sushi. In particular, the assorted sashimi—such as gurnard (houbou), striped jack (shima-aji), blue seabream (ao-dai), and amberjack (kanpachi)—was fresh and cut to just the right thickness; this alone would have been satisfying. Drinks, including alcohol, were ordered by smartphone, so there was no need to call staff over. Inatori has plenty to see—shrines and temples, markets around the port area, and cafes with great views—so traveling by train is also recommended. With so many appealing properties such as Hamanoyu, Imaisou, Ginsuiso, Akao Resort & Spa Atami (Akao), and Itoen Hotels among others, I’m planning to use hometown tax donations and stay every year from now on.

    Winter at Inatori-so

    I visited during the summer last time and it was amazing! I couldn't wait to come back and see what winter at Inatori-so would look like. So, I decided to visit again in winter. Thank you so much, it was perfect!!! The deep colors of the winter sea were stunning, the sunset and horizon were breathtakingly beautiful with the clear air, and at night, I enjoyed a long bath while gazing at countless stars. Before leaving, I wrapped myself in a blanket, sat on the balcony chair, and admired the ocean until the very last moment. After my previous stay at Inatori-so, I visited several other accommodations. On our way home from one of those trips, we talked about which accommodation we liked best. We agreed that Inatori-so stood out for its baths, rooms, food, staff members' hospitality—and especially for its views from the room. "Surely there are more luxurious places if you spend more money," my companion said excitedly with a laugh. "But this level of satisfaction for this price is thanks to Inatori-so's efforts—it's incredible." I’d love to visit again next winter!

    Good.

    This satisfaction at this price is excellent! It's very affordable. There are three types of Onsen (for women), making it so enjoyable that one day isn't enough to fully experience them. It seems there is also a pool available in summer, so I want to visit again during that season.

    Fun for families with children

    The available room could only accommodate up to 3 people, so we booked two rooms. Our group consisted of a 2-year-old, a 4-year-old, and three adults. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with traditional Japanese sweets and matcha tea. The staff member who explained the facilities was a foreigner with a friendly demeanor; however, their Japanese grammar seemed challenging for them, making it difficult to understand details like breakfast times or the location of the Onsen. We later asked another staff member for clarification. We only had breakfast during our stay, but it was a delicious and carefully prepared buffet. The grilled horse mackerel (aji) was especially outstanding in flavor and preparation. There were many baths available; the open-air bath on the 7th floor offered an incredible view where the bath line blended seamlessly with the ocean. One downside was that there was only one futon per person—it felt thin, and an additional mat would have made it more comfortable. Some signs of wear were noticeable, such as broken sliding door handles; however, renovations had been done well enough to ensure a pleasant stay overall. For dinner, we visited a recommended soba and udon restaurant featuring local ingredients—it was delightful! The location is convenient too—about a 15-minute walk from the station.

    The view was magnificent.

    This year's first sunrise was obscured by clouds, but a stunning sunrise was visible on New Year's Eve morning. Enjoy breathtaking views from both the ocean-view Room and the 7th-floor large public bath. Train access is recommended. If traveling by car during the New Year holidays, it is best to take the Izu Chuo Expressway as coastal roads tend to be very congested.

    As the name suggests

    As the name suggests, the Room offers a stunning view of the ocean right in front of its large windows, and we enjoyed the sunrise as well. The staff provided heartfelt hospitality, making our stay very pleasant. The Room was newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. Next time, I would love to stay for two nights.

    Recommended Accommodation for First-Time Visitors

    This accommodation offers great overall value for money. However, compared to before, the meals lack variety and creativity, and the hospitality is no longer as noticeable. It’s unclear whether this is due to a change in management policy or staff shortages, but it is somewhat disappointing.

    Visited in late Octo...

    Visited in late October. The Room seemed to have been renovated, but there were spots of mold and some rust on the balcony due to its proximity to the sea, which showed signs of wear. Also, as soon as I entered the building, there was a sewage-like smell at the front desk. I've stayed at many places before, but this was my first experience with a Ryokan that had such an odor! It cost around 80,000 yen in total, so I was disappointed with this quality. The cheapest Room is about 40,000 yen per night; at that price point, it feels more acceptable. I recommend choosing one of the cheaper Rooms.

    It became a memorable anniversary trip.

    I stayed here for an anniversary trip. The room was exactly as shown in the photos—sophisticated and very clean. The view from the window was breathtaking, offering a full ocean view that made it feel like being on the sea itself. Although it was December, the open-air bath was always warm and incredibly relaxing. While soaking at night provided a calm atmosphere, enjoying the bath while watching the sunrise in the morning was absolutely amazing. On clear days, you can see a starry sky at night and a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The private bathroom in the guest room felt slightly aged, but most guests seem to use the large public bath, so I don’t think this would be an issue for many people. The kaiseki cuisine was carefully prepared with every dish tasting delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options with both Japanese and Western dishes to enjoy. As for service, it was exceptionally polite and made me truly feel I was staying at a wonderful accommodation—I felt very grateful. Overall, I had an unforgettable time here—it truly felt like living in a dream! This is an ideal accommodation and room for celebrating special occasions. Thank you very much!

    A reliable and comfortable accommodation.

    Visited to celebrate my husband's birthday. Stayed in a renovated Room that was previously a traditional Japanese-style Room. The view was great, but the Room was very hot due to good sunlight, so we kept the curtains closed. Seeking coolness, we spent much time in the bath Facility (the view there is also wonderful, and services like post-bath miso soup were excellent). However, compared to the Room we stayed in last year, which was fantastic, this experience felt slightly disappointing. Improvements around the Facility might be necessary (please forgive my critical comment as a long-time guest). That said, I appreciated the chopsticks given for my husband's birthday celebration and enjoyed the delicious meals. The customer service was excellent as well. I look forward to visiting again!

    I have visited multiple times, and this accommodation is undoubtedly excellent. The scenery, cuisine, and staff are all outstanding! If you're unsure where to go in the Izu area, you should visit at least once!

    It was a wonderful a...

    It was a wonderful accommodation. I chose it after watching the official YouTube channel and was glad to select a room on the second floor. I enjoyed the extraordinary experience of falling asleep to the sound of waves at night. The meals were also excellent. Above all, being slightly away from Atami and Ito meant there were more families and adults, with fewer foreign tourists, allowing for a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. I think this is an ideal accommodation for an adult getaway.

    About Bedding

    We visit several times a year because we love the food, service, and location. Unfortunately, this time it seems there were mites in the futon, and I was bitten in dozens of places. As we would like to stay again in the future, we kindly request thorough pest control measures for bedding. We understand that it may be difficult to completely prevent their intrusion due to the high number of guests, but thank you for your understanding and attention to this matter.

    The service, food, and Room were excellent. One complaint is that the air conditioner had a strange smell when turned on, and there was also some odor in the building, but I guess that's understandable being right by the sea. This year, I stayed for four days in total with two nights each in January and November and was very satisfied. I plan to visit again next year.

    Highly satisfied!!

    We visited in mid-October with four generations of our family. An accommodation with a large public bath, rooms with open-air baths, and private dining for the family... Inatori-so perfectly met everyone's wishes. The ocean is right in front of you!! The location is truly stunning. First, thank you to all the staff for your bright and courteous service. It made us very happy. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean (we used 3 rooms). They were very beautiful and comfortable to stay in. As for meals, we used a private dining room. Thank you for serving us dishes celebrating your 70th anniversary; they were visually appealing and delicious! Even my 90-year-old mother enjoyed her meal thoroughly, which was wonderful to see. We also ordered steak as an extra dish—the thickness was amazing! It surprised us but made us so happy! There are two large public baths available. On the 7th floor, there’s a bath overlooking the ocean that alternates between morning and evening use. Since we checked in a bit late, by the time we finished listening to staff explanations and settling down, it had already gotten dark outside—so unfortunately we could only view the dark sea at night instead of during daylight hours (for future guests: please check-in early if possible!). The facility has been renovated beautifully; everything inside is very clean. The hallways are wide enough that even our one-and-a-half-year-old grandchild was excitedly running around. Overall feedback from our family: absolutely satisfied! Everyone said they’d love to visit again someday. Thank you so much for taking care of us!

    It was excellent.

    We stayed with my in-laws, husband, and daughter, making a group of five. The staff kindly delivered a different size of samue to our room and even replaced the sashimi with a splendid shrimp dish for me as I am not fond of raw fish. It’s rare to find such attentive service at an accommodation. When my parents-in-law forgot the electronic lock code and were troubled, the staff promptly assisted us, for which my husband was very grateful. We would love to visit again during another season!

    The bath and cuisine are exceptional!

    It was a one-night trip with my mother and wife. Finding an accommodation that would be stress-free and satisfying for my mother, who has difficulty walking, was quite challenging, but this place with a private onsen in the room was perfect. The food was excellent, and the main public bath lived up to its online reputation—it was amazing. There are two public baths that switch between men’s and women’s use; on the first day, the infinity onsen I saw online turned out to be for women only, which felt a bit different from what I imagined (though my wife loved it). However, when they switched baths the next day and I got to experience it myself—this is it! It exceeded expectations. The weather also cooperated beautifully, offering breathtaking views. Since my mother cannot walk in the public bath without her cane, she used our private open-air bath with an ocean view instead—and she loved it as well. I rated "Room & Amenities" 4 stars because of issues with the coffee maker and its unclear instructions. As for "Service," there seemed to be minimal interaction or assistance (e.g., no guidance to our room), which made me wonder if they intentionally avoid excessive service. Lastly—and not intending any discrimination—I noticed many foreign staff members working there. While they were hardworking and wonderful at their jobs, visiting an onsen far from urban areas for a domestic travel experience made me think “even here?” This is just personal preference since part of what I enjoy about traditional hot spring trips is chatting briefly with local staff while they help carry luggage. Overall though—it was fantastic! A truly exceptional accommodation that makes me want to visit again!

    The open-air bath with a stunning view was amazing. On nights without moonlight, it's better to enjoy it during the day for the best scenery (note that there are gender-specific time slots). The staff were kind, and the meals were delicious.

    We used your service this time for my daughter and her husband's trip. The Room was upgraded, and additional dishes were served as a courtesy—thank you so much for your hospitality. Although we had been visiting every year, we hadn't returned since the entire facility became non-smoking. However, we were deeply touched that you remembered our repeated visits over the years.     Relax with Stunning Views and Exceptional Service

    We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay and enjoyed the private bath every day. The stunning views, baths, cuisine, and hospitality exceeded our expectations and were truly relaxing. The post-bath service was delightful, and the morning miso soup was exceptional. Additionally, having free laundry service during our stay was a great convenience. It was such wonderful hospitality that we would love to visit again—thank you very much!

    I visited with my husband to enjoy the Onsen and meals. From the warm welcome at check-in, I was looking forward to a pleasant stay. I quickly went to the large public bath and headed to the open-air bath, but noticed a ship docked right in front, which made me feel slightly uncomfortable. After spending some time in the sauna and coming back out, I saw that the ship had moved away, so I felt relieved thinking it might have been my imagination. However, when it returned again later, I hurriedly left. Unsure if it was just me overthinking things, I didn’t mention it at the front desk but couldn’t shake off an unpleasant feeling. There were only about 2-3 other people bathing at that time. The meal service was excellent; our server was very attentive and polite. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful—I was very satisfied overall. However, the timing of serving each dish could have been better coordinated—it seemed like one person had too many tables to manage all at once. The Room provided a soothing experience with calming sounds of ocean waves; this has become a place I'd love to visit again!

    We stayed here for a three-generation family trip and had a wonderful time. Both the adults and children enjoyed every moment of our stay. With so many types of baths available, the kids never got bored and had fun deciding which one to try next. The complimentary snacks and miso soup offered at certain times were also a delightful touch. One point to note is that during meals, even with a cardigan on, it felt slightly chilly. While we understand this might be due to food preparation requirements, perhaps the temperature could be adjusted slightly higher for comfort. During our visit in August, there were events tailored for children that kept them entertained throughout the day—morning, afternoon, and evening. Unfortunately, we couldn’t participate in the morning event this time but would love to join next year if possible! We hope activities like trips to the sea or mountains will continue in future years as well. Additionally, our child bonded with one of your staff members who managed these events; it would be wonderful if they could continue working on these activities. Thank you again for such an enjoyable experience—we look forward to visiting again!

    Wonderful Accommodation

    We visited for a family trip. The view from the room and the open-air bath was amazing and very relaxing! Dinner was rich in seafood, and the children seemed satisfied, saying the sashimi was delicious. The breakfast buffet was also so tasty that we ended up eating too much (haha). I especially loved the New Summer Orange sauce on yogurt. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again!

    The bath is excellent, the meals are average.

    Luggage was transported from the shuttle bus to the lobby. Although there were several staff members in the lobby, they were chatting among themselves. After a quick explanation during check-in by one staff member, there was no offer to carry luggage, leaving me wondering if they had read past reviews. Upon entering the room, the air conditioning was off, making it very humid and taking considerable time to reach a comfortable temperature. The bath was excellent in terms of view, size, and cleanliness (though you can see an abandoned ryokan next door from the open-air bath). The only heartfelt service I experienced came from R., a foreign staff member at the dining area. The next morning during checkout, I was disappointed when the proprietress appeared in wrinkled loungewear—it felt more like staying at a guesthouse despite paying proper ryokan rates. What happened to appropriate attire for such occasions? The overall atmosphere felt monotonous and routine as if everyone had grown too accustomed to their roles; perhaps this reflects how hospitality is led by example here? With nothing but views surrounding this location and not much else nearby, I hope this accommodation becomes one where guests can enjoy their stay within its premises and feel genuine warmth that makes them want to return again someday.

    I would love to visit again!

    The staff's hospitality, meals, and facilities were all thoughtfully arranged, making our stay very comfortable. We enjoyed tea and sweets in the lobby overlooking the ocean during check-in. The hand-drawn illustrations on the menu by the staff were charming, and with guidance from our table attendant, we could enjoy the dishes even more. As suggested by the name of this accommodation, both the view from our room and from the open-air bath were truly breathtaking. Hearing the sound of waves was incredibly soothing. While I noticed some reviews mentioned that the spiny lobster was small—this might be true—but considering rising costs everywhere these days, it felt understandable. The overall meal portions were not lacking; in fact, we left feeling quite full. Everything exceeded expectations, and I would love to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

    Accommodation with Stunning Views and Delicious Cuisine!

    The moment I entered the room, I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow!" A breathtaking ocean view stretched across the entire window. The room was beautifully renovated with soothing white wood furniture. Check-in was accompanied by black soybean tea and traditional sweets. Mr. S provided a warm and detailed explanation, making us feel at ease. Before dinner, we relaxed in an open-air bath with another stunning view to relieve our fatigue. Afterward, we enjoyed cold tea, traditional sweets, and various snacks—all incredibly delicious—and even bought some as souvenirs. Draft beer was available for just 500 yen—a perfect treat after the bath! Dinner featured simmered whole alfonsino and butter-grilled abalone—both were absolutely delicious. We could choose one type of fish from the daily selection to add to the standard sashimi platter. Breakfast was a buffet that exceeded expectations despite reviews mentioning limited variety. Everything seemed freshly handmade by the chefs and tasted amazing: grilled dried horse mackerel prepared right in front of us, tamagoyaki cooked by a chef on-site, sea bream ochazuke (rice with broth), curry rich in flavor—you name it! We ended up eating too much because everything was so good. We stayed here for one night after disembarking from Diamond Princess before heading home, and having a checkout time of 12 PM was an especially delightful point!
