Not thoroughly cleaned.
I’ve stayed in this Room three times, every summer, but the terrace side of the bathroom didn’t seem to be cleaned well, and moss was noticeable. It’s a wonderful Room, so I hope you can make an even greater effort.

As we did last year,...
As we did last year, we visited again during the summer holidays this year. All of the staff were kind and attentive, and we were able to spend a truly pleasant time. The kids’ events unique to the summer holidays were also fantastic. The meals and baths were flawless. Thank you for a stay that made us want to come back again!

It was wonderfully relaxing.
The meals and the views were exactly what the Hotel is known for. It was amazing to see such a wide expanse of ocean. The food was delicious, and I was moved by the care put into each dish. It was my first time seeing the explanations presented with illustrations in such a fun way, and it was very nice. All of the staff were kind and helpful, and I truly enjoyed my stay.

It was a wonderful anniversary.
We stayed here for my partner’s birthday. The 4th-floor Room “Shinsei” is a corner Room with a full ocean view, and the balcony has chairs for enjoying the sea as well as an open-air bath. There is also a huge sofa—almost like a bed—set facing the window, so you can relax indoors and gaze at the ocean at your leisure. As you’d expect from an Accommodation that calls itself “a spectacular Accommodation with panoramic ocean views,” it truly delivers. If you love sea views, this place is irresistible. The private dining Room at dinner also had an amazing panoramic ocean view. While chatting with the staff member who served us, I mentioned, “Today is my partner’s birthday,” and later they said, “Happy birthday. This is a small gift from our Accommodation,” and presented us with chopsticks. It was such a delightful surprise and really showed their outstanding hospitality. We were served simmered golden eye snapper of about 30 cm; it was delicious as-is, or mixed into Inatori-so’s original seasoned rice—either way we thoroughly enjoyed it. Because this Accommodation is right by the sea, if you’re driving, be prepared for salt to get on your car. A car wash on the way home is essential.

Scenic Views and Hospitality
Not only can you enjoy the views from the infinity open-air Onsen, but there are also various Onsen experiences such as a waterfall-style bath. With a 12:00 check-out, we were able to take it easy in the morning. At the morning bath, we enjoyed their long-established golden eye snapper miso soup, and at the breakfast buffet, we were delighted to savor spiny lobster miso soup and namero (minced fish). It was an Accommodation where the staff’s warm hospitality truly stood out.

It was amazing!
This time, three of us stayed here as friends. You also upgraded our Room, and we were able to relax very comfortably. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. In addition, the dining venue was a private room, so we could enjoy our meal at ease without worrying about those around us. Since this was a preview trip for a class reunion, it was helpful as a reference for next time. We also fully enjoyed the Onsen, and my friends who came with me were very satisfied. Next time, we plan to visit again with my high school classmates around late November. Thank you very much for all your hospitality during our stay.

Everything was great...
Everything was great except for the bath in the Room. Breakfast was a buffet, and since I had informed them of my allergies in advance, they kindly served me miso soup with modified ingredients. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance to visit Shizuoka.

70th Anniversary Special Plan
I stayed under Inatori-so’s 70th Anniversary Special Plan featuring an all-you-can-eat dining event. I have stayed at Inatori-so many times, and even though it was all-you-can-eat, the quality of the food was not compromised at all—there was an excellent variety of truly delicious dishes. The sashimi and grilled turban shell were outstanding. I’ve noticed more international staff, and I’m moved by how sincerely they work to provide warm hospitality. With rising prices everywhere, I imagine it’s difficult for any Accommodation, but is it really necessary for the Yukura bath building to be open 24 hours? As a guest, I appreciate 24-hour access, but I also feel it would be fine to have some downtime. I hope Inatori-so can continue operating sustainably without overextending itself. The open-air bath with a panoramic ocean view is breathtaking.

Thank you very much.
As promised, my daughter and I came to stay. It had been a while, but Inatori-so is still wonderful. The head chef’s thoughtful touches were delicious! The Onsen was very relaxing, and the food was outstanding. Best of all, with a 12:00 check-out we could take our time getting ready in the morning. I was busy going back and forth to the smoking area, but I would definitely love to visit again. Next month, three of us will be staying with friends—thank you in advance.

A good Hotel for the price.
As the title says, for the price, the ocean is right in front of you, and the sea view from the Room is simply amazing. The Room was clean, and the staff were very kind, so overall it was good—but the meals were very disappointing. The portions were very small, the servers were quite unfriendly, and none of the dishes tasted good. The sashimi was dried out. Breakfast is a buffet where you go and pick what you like yourself. I think dinner could be improved a lot with a bit more thought.

A Memorable Accommodation
From welcome to farewell, we had an extremely comfortable stay. First of all, the views—truly worthy of the name—can be enjoyed from anywhere. They were especially stunning from the open-air bath, and we ended up staying in longer than planned. The Onsen baths were just as wonderful: the water stays warm on your skin and leaves it silky smooth. With two bathing areas available, we were fully satisfied without reserving a private bath. Bath towels are provided in the bathing area, which was very convenient. The staff were kind and hardworking, and even the international team members showed genuine warmth and dedication. The cuisine was simply outstanding. Not only the kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), but every dish was exquisite. We were also taught recommended ways to enjoy them—worth visiting for this alone. As for the Facility, it is clear this property has been operating for many years, and it can feel a bit quiet due to a neighboring Hotel having closed down; however, it has been renovated and we stayed very comfortably. We would love to visit again for a relaxing getaway. Thank you very much.

Not very clean.
The most disappointing thing was that there was no foot towel provided by the open-air bath in the Room, and the floor was moldy.

If the weather is good!
It was wonderful. The view from the window and the sound of the waves were amazing. The weather was cloudy that day, so I wished it had been sunny, but that can’t be helped. The bath had a great ocean view and was fantastic. There was also a small sauna. The dining area had plenty of space between seats, so we could relax and enjoy our meal. The golden eye snapper was delicious as well. It would be appreciated if Wi‑Fi coverage could be expanded. We’ll definitely visit again!

I would like to pay the Hot Spring Tax cashlessly.
The guest next door paid the accommodation fee on-site via PayPay and also paid the Accommodation Tax. Other Accommodation options also accept cashless payments for the Hot Spring Tax. They are probably choosing cash because they are concerned about fees, but it is not good to lie by saying it is due to government guidance. The Hot Spring Tax is not a tax paid to the national government, is it?

Highly satisfied
Although the Accommodation has a 70-year history and the building is old, the interior has been beautifully renovated. The Room was spacious enough to relax, and it felt wonderful with the ocean stretching out right in front of us. The dinner course was very delicious, and the simmered splendid alfonsino was satisfying and filling. Thank you very much.

Scenic Views, Delicious Cuisine, and Senior-Friendly Accommodation
Although we can drive from Tokyo as far as Atami or Kitagawa Onsen, this was our first visit to a long-established, well-known Accommodation that we hadn’t been able to visit before because it felt too far. The ocean view made the trip worthwhile—I even slept with the window open, falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Traveling with my elderly mother, we appreciated the thoughtful handrails throughout, and the firmer sofa also seemed easier for her to stand up from. I truly admire the illustrated menu. The head chef is wonderful—everything impressed us: seasoning, subtle flavors, and how vegetables were used. It was genuinely delicious. Dinner featured many luxurious ingredients: sashimi with a citrus salt jelly; a rice bowl topped with simmered golden eye snapper broth plus scallions and seaweed; the salad dressing at breakfast; scallion miso on top of the golden eye snapper; and delicious white rice—we were completely satisfied. We’re not morning people, so this may be a selfish request, but we’d love it if breakfast were available from 9:00 as well. Also, for the in-room bath, it would be nice to have something to stir with when adjusting the temperature. The Onsen is sodium-rich and wonderfully warming. We tried every bathing area available and enjoyed the in-room bath right up until just before check-out. It can take up to four hours one way if there’s traffic—but we’ll definitely come again!

It became a wonderful memory.
We decided on a trip at short notice and looked for a more upscale Accommodation than usual. The cuisine at Inatori-so looked delicious, so we were Done. The building felt a bit old, but the Room was casual and stylish. The course meal was excellent, and we enjoyed every dish—it was all very tasty. There were two baths, and both were great in their own way. The staff were also very attentive, and it’s a Hotel we’d like to visit again.

The view and the in-room Onsen are excellent, but there are serious issues with the service.
We stayed in Seishin, a corner Room on the 6th floor. The Room looks beautiful in the photos on the website, but in reality it seems only part of the walls and the balcony/wet areas were renovated; the tatami mats and furniture felt old and a bit dirty. The view I was most looking forward to was truly breathtaking and lived up to its reputation. Because you can adjust the temperature of the open-air bath in the guest Room, you can soak for as long as you like while enjoying the scenery, so I think it will be very satisfying for anyone seeking “great views × an in-room Onsen.” As for the meals, they weren’t exceptionally delicious, but they were consistently good quality with generous portions, and we enjoyed them. Personally, despite some overall dated aspects, it wasn’t a bad Ryokan. However, my mother who traveled with me later told me about something that happened at breakfast (she said she stayed quiet at the time because she didn’t want to ruin our trip), and I revised my rating. At breakfast buffet service, miso soup is poured by staff. When my mother asked for miso soup, an elderly female staff member replied curtly: “Yeah—one.” That alone might have been tolerable since this isn’t exactly a luxury Accommodation… But because my mother has limited use of her right-hand fingers, she took it with both hands first and then adjusted her grip to steady it. At that moment, in front of many other guests around her, the staff member snapped at her: “Don’t drink there! Sit down and drink!” It’s obvious she wasn’t going to stand there drinking when seating was available; it felt like she took advantage of an older person who can’t move quickly just to vent her frustration. Aside from that particular staff member overall it was fairly good—but this went beyond simply having a bad attitude. Knowing there is an employee who behaves maliciously like this leaves me no choice but to rate my satisfaction as 1 star—honestly I don’t even want to give 1. Younger people who can immediately talk back might be fine, but vulnerable guests such as older people or children could become targets if they act alone by mistake. I recommend either not bringing them or making sure they are never left on their own.

Congratulations on your 70th anniversary!
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious options, and we were completely satisfied. The meals, facilities, and staff are all thoughtfully arranged in every detail, making this a very comfortable Hotel. The bath also has an amazing view! We would definitely like to stay again!!

I stayed with my eld...
I stayed with my elderly mother, who is nearly 90. The Room had a wonderful ocean view and was very clean (though I felt the window screens and air conditioner could use cleaning), and the meals were delicious. However, I had seen in other Reviews that there were issues with service, and I did experience a few things that made me understand why. First, it was the first time at a Ryokan at this price point that we had to carry our own luggage to the Room. In particular, just before the trip my mother hurt her leg and could barely walk, so I was pulling two suitcases with both hands, but no one offered to help us to the Room even after seeing this. After that as well, when my mother went to the front desk to ask a question, she said they were extremely unfriendly—perhaps she didn’t ask in the best way. Of course, there were also some staff members who were truly wonderful, so it may depend on the person. Still, if they could think from a guest’s perspective, they shouldn’t respond with that kind of attitude, which was very disappointing.

Memorable hospitality
My friend and I visited Izu Inatori to see the hanging hina dolls. The Room was almost too spacious for just the two of us, with an ocean view beyond the window. We enjoyed a peaceful time listening to the sound of the waves. The delicious meals featuring golden eye snapper were wonderful. The open-air bath with the sea directly below was amazing. We were truly satisfied. However, one thing was disappointing: when using the private open-air bath, we could smell meat being grilled for meals the entire time. I regretted not choosing a different time if that was going to happen. I think it would be helpful if guests were given a note about this in advance. All of the staff were pleasant, and in particular, the Shuttle Service driver had an outstanding sense of hospitality. He kindly explained directions to our destinations and even told us where to store our luggage and recommended some great places to eat—thank you very much. It was an Accommodation that made us want to visit again.

The bath is amazing.
Located along the coast, the views are outstanding. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves is pure bliss. The two large public baths and open-air baths offer a relaxing, tranquil atmosphere. You can also soak at your leisure in the open-air bath in your Room while taking in the magnificent ocean view, leaving both body and mind refreshed.

While listening to the sound of the waves
To celebrate each of my daughters’ promotions to the next grade, we visited Inatori Onsen and stayed at Inatori-so for the first time. When we saw the view and our Room with an open-air bath, we couldn’t help but gasp. Soaking in the Onsen with the ocean right in front of us felt truly grand—like, “Is this really happening right now?” or “Am I dreaming?” It was a wonderful time. At first, I was a little worried about how matter-of-fact the Shuttle Service staff from Inatori Station seemed, but that concern quickly disappeared. Dinner was served in a private room with thoughtful hospitality, and thank you so much for the gift of chopsticks for my daughters. We were grateful for the ingredients and moved by how delicious everything was—it made us very happy. Surrounded by beautiful ocean views, sky, sunshine, and soothing waves, it became a place we would love to visit again. The cherry blossom calendar and black soybean tea were lovely as well. The shop staff and our server were also excellent.

The view is amazing.
I ended up booking a Plan without meals, so I went out to eat. It was a bit far, and there were few taxis in town so I couldn’t get one, but the Hotel staff came to pick me up. I really appreciated it. The view from the Room was amazing, and the bath was great as well. A 12:00 checkout is nice—I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I think it would be nice if there were an option to order a slightly more luxurious bento instead of having a Plan without meals. Thank you for your hospitality.

Japanese-modern Room
First of all, These days, it’s common for newer, well-kept Accommodations to be staffed by non-Japanese employees, but I felt reassured that everyone here was Japanese. The ocean view from the Room was incredibly open and breathtaking. The Room windows could also be opened, so I could hear the sound of the waves and relax. I was also happy to be able to ventilate the Room. Every meal was delicious, and in particular, the simmered alfonsino at dinner was by far the best I’ve ever had. It truly made me want to keep eating rice! Because the baths alternate between men and women, I was able to enjoy both. However, I prefer hotter water, so I’m giving it three stars. There were many great things about Inatori-so, but what impressed me most was how thoroughly everything was cleaned. I heard it’s your 70th anniversary—being this close to the sea and still keeping everything so spotless must be thanks to each employee’s hard work. I hope you continue maintaining this level of quality. Next time, I’d like to stay in a private room with an open-air bath. It turned into a wonderful trip. Thank you very much, Inatori-so!

I spent a luxurious, relaxing time on the bed in the lovely second-floor Momone Room, enjoying the ocean view. The view from the open-air observation bath was also wonderful. The food was very delicious, too—I was amazed by how good Inatori-meshi was! It was my first time visiting Izu, but I’d love to come back to Inatoriso. Next time, I’d like to stay for a Multiple Night Stay and take it easy.

I’ve stayed here several times.
I have stayed here several times. The staff are now mostly foreign, and they are very friendly, which is great. However, at check-in we had difficulty communicating about things like the private bath, and we also couldn’t understand them well. The complimentary private bath was treated as if it wasn’t included unless we pointed it out. For a stay in a Room at this level, I was honestly disappointed with the service. Also, the meals were served at quite a fast pace. The food is delicious and we don’t drink alcohol so it was fine for us, but if you want to take your time, it may be best to let them know. Our previous stay was excellent, and since the Hotel is close to the sea—and we love the sound of the waves—it’s a really nice place for us, so this was a bit disappointing.

Enjoy a relaxing stay with a 12:00 PM check-out.
You can soak in the Onsen as much as you like, even late at night or early in the morning. Checkout is at 12:00 noon, so we were able to relax even after breakfast. We chose the buffet Plan, and it was great that there were none of the typical family-buffet items like curry, pasta, or hamburg steaks—more like an adults-only seafood feast. The abalone was served whole. We could also get refills as much as we wanted of grilled half spiny lobster, turban shell, steak, and kinmedai nigiri sushi. In particular, the assorted sashimi—such as gurnard (houbou), striped jack (shima-aji), blue seabream (ao-dai), and amberjack (kanpachi)—was fresh and cut to just the right thickness; this alone would have been satisfying. Drinks, including alcohol, were ordered by smartphone, so there was no need to call staff over. Inatori has plenty to see—shrines and temples, markets around the port area, and cafes with great views—so traveling by train is also recommended. With so many appealing properties such as Hamanoyu, Imaisou, Ginsuiso, Akao Resort & Spa Atami (Akao), and Itoen Hotels among others, I’m planning to use hometown tax donations and stay every year from now on.

Winter at Inatori-so
I visited during the summer last time and it was amazing! I couldn't wait to come back and see what winter at Inatori-so would look like. So, I decided to visit again in winter. Thank you so much, it was perfect!!! The deep colors of the winter sea were stunning, the sunset and horizon were breathtakingly beautiful with the clear air, and at night, I enjoyed a long bath while gazing at countless stars. Before leaving, I wrapped myself in a blanket, sat on the balcony chair, and admired the ocean until the very last moment. After my previous stay at Inatori-so, I visited several other accommodations. On our way home from one of those trips, we talked about which accommodation we liked best. We agreed that Inatori-so stood out for its baths, rooms, food, staff members' hospitality—and especially for its views from the room. "Surely there are more luxurious places if you spend more money," my companion said excitedly with a laugh. "But this level of satisfaction for this price is thanks to Inatori-so's efforts—it's incredible." I’d love to visit again next winter!
