    The room's bath was ...

    The room's bath was so comfortable that I found myself repeatedly soaking and then cooling off on the balcony. This time, we splurged on a nice room, and the drinks and other amenities in the room were a delightful touch. However, it was a bit disappointing that, perhaps due to recent staffing shortages, meal service was often delayed. Fried and grilled dishes were quite cold by the time they arrived, and there were so few staff members that I felt hesitant to ask for drink refills. The staff who were working did their best, so it may not be anyone's fault... Even though it was just one night, my family enjoyed a relaxing stay together.

    Motorbike trip with my grandchild!

    I visited for the first time in 40 years to create summer vacation memories with my grandson during his last year of elementary school! Starting from Odawara, we traveled about 120 kilometers, going through Izu, swimming at Gotemba, and crossing Hakone. Since our home was nearby, returning was easy, but we chose your accommodation to make special memories! First, we relaxed in the large public bath to ease our travel fatigue. Looking around, there were many foreign guests—perhaps they thought we were foreigners too? (I recall that 40 years ago it seemed like there were more senior groups.) At the lounge, I quenched my thirst with two glasses of draft beer! My grandson also enjoyed two glasses of cola. For dinner, we planned to eat out but were surprised that most places were closed. Returning to the hotel at around 8 PM and learning restaurants wouldn’t open until later, we ended up sharing cup noodles quietly in our room from a convenience store. In the morning, after another refreshing bath and coffee at the lounge to recharge ourselves for the day ahead, a kind lady dressed beautifully in traditional Japanese attire took a commemorative photo of us at Kajikaso’s entrance around 9:30 AM (she looked lovely too). We left Kajikaso with wonderful memories. Thank you very much!

    I had a relaxing time.

    I recently stayed at Kajikaso Accommodation. The staff at the front desk were very polite, making my stay comfortable from the moment I arrived. The accommodation has two baths, which alternate between men and women. Both were spacious, clean, and absolutely delightful. Simply soaking in them provided a relaxing experience for both body and mind. Our room was the special suite "Seiji," which was incredibly spacious for just two people—almost laughably so! Additionally, the room had its own open-air bath with a wonderful atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. Both dinner and breakfast were perfectly portioned, visually appealing, and absolutely delicious. My wife and I had an enjoyable time throughout our stay, creating wonderful memories together.

    The female staff who guided us to the room and assisted with dinner and breakfast, thank you for your kindness. We were very satisfied with the Onsen in the room as well as the large public bath.

    Other than the service, I thought it was good!

    The exterior looked old and made me worried, but the lobby and rooms were renovated and clean, which was reassuring. However, upon closer inspection, the bathroom and other areas seemed quite old. I thought it couldn't be helped and wasn't bothered by it. It was helpful that we could leave our luggage before check-in time! When we returned a little before check-in time to wait in the lobby, others were checking in one after another. Wait... before 3 PM? We weren't informed about this... When we checked in, they confirmed our name and room details as well as dinner information but told us that keys would only be available after 3 PM. By around 3 PM, the lobby was packed with people waiting for their keys after checking in. The staff handed out keys to each group one by one without any clear order. They seemed to prioritize regular guests based on their comments like "Thank you as always." We waited for a long time while others received their keys sequentially until only we were left waiting. Feeling something was wrong, I went to the desk to ask if our key was ready yet; they hurriedly handed it over then. When I asked what order they were using for distributing keys, all I got was an apology—clearly not well-managed at all. To make matters worse, our stored luggage went missing... unacceptable! They asked which staff member we had given it to—it felt like a blame game—which made us uncomfortable too. It turned out that all of our luggage (we had three rooms reserved across three families) had been combined into one room without permission because each room was on different floors… unacceptable again! Eventually though, staff brought the luggage separately to each room—but that's just basic service. For dinner reservations too: everything seemed managed under just one room number (which we weren’t aware of). At the dining area entrance when trying access dinner service—they claimed no reservation existed initially causing confusion/anxiety unnecessarily—unacceptable again! During meals ordering drinks took forever even pressing bell repeatedly didn’t help much either delayed delivery times continued throughout meal experience itself frustrating further still being told “pass drink down table yourself” directly from servers wasn’t professional behavior expected here either although minor issue comparatively speaking overall disappointing nonetheless! Room cleaning quality mediocre cobwebs found wooden bedframe parts visible despite surface-level cleanliness elsewhere acceptable enough bathrooms satisfactory pricing fair value station proximity convenient location major redeeming factor overall stay experience mixed feelings ultimately balanced positives negatives equally weighted conclusion reached accordingly

    Looking forward to the future.

    On July 5th, I stayed in a special room for one night. Points for improvement: ① Regarding the Hotel Reservation, I felt there was no proper response. While limiting phone inquiries from guests may be inevitable due to the times, email replies felt as if they were generated by AI, with no names of reservation staff and impersonal responses. Please provide more heartfelt communication. ② Despite being tired upon check-in, there was no offer to carry my luggage when being guided to the Room. Please consider more thoughtful service. ③ There was no explanation about emergency exits for guests; this should be addressed for safety reasons. ④ It was surprising that there were no newspapers available in the Accommodation's common area; please provide them moving forward. ⑤ At the footbath area, paper cups were left on the ground; please ensure daily cleaning is conducted properly and consistently. This has been reported to security staff already. ⑥ Regarding bathing facilities: there is a lack of horse oil products between male and female baths, and significant differences in outdoor Onsen spaces on different floors—please improve these areas accordingly (e.g., second-floor bath). ⑦ Small towels should also be provided in Rooms as they are necessary items during stays here! ⑧ Dinner dishes served cold included hamo & seaweed-based meals while eel Yanagawa-style dish required re-lighting candles twice leading eggs hardening unnecessarily disappointing overall experience dining-wise altogether unfortunately speaking honestly now reflecting back upon things done wrong therein perhaps? ⑨ Bedding options lacked pillow variety making sleep difficult given overly soft choices offered instead ideally allowing guest preferences better catered towards next time around ideally improving quality toothbrushes beyond mere 100-yen store equivalents currently supplied presently unsatisfactory levels unacceptable standards expected higher-class establishments such yours surely agree wholeheartedly wouldn’t disagree either way ultimately rightfully so fair enough point raised valid concerns noted duly acknowledged respectfully submitted feedback constructive criticism intended help improve services rendered future occasions alike hopefully appreciated taken     I visited with my pa...

    I visited with my parents. The location was excellent, being close to the station. The meals were delicious, and the Room was clean with a spacious sofa that allowed us to relax. However, the service was disappointing, possibly due to a lack of staff. The bath facilities were great overall; however, the indoor bath was too hot while the open-air bath was lukewarm. The open-air bath was under renovation, and although we could use it after a gender switch on the following day, prior notice would have been appreciated. There was no tea service after dinner, and while breakfast was included, the tea tasted like it came from a teabag and left much to be desired.

    This is the third time.

    It was a worrisome second day due to the weather, but being close to Yumoto Station, there was no inconvenience. The staff were five-star as always. The Room was well-prepared, and the view from the window was satisfying. This time, as we were three generations, we used the restaurant and enjoyed our meal leisurely in a private room. Thank you very much for taking great care of us.

    This is not the service we are looking for, but rather Hotel-oriented. It feels like the staff are just going through the motions. I never want to go again, and if an acquaintance says they are going, I would probably stop them.

    Year-end and New Year

    The route from the room to the dining area was winding, making it difficult to understand and far. Despite the busy New Year period, the staff at the dining area greeted us with a smile. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    The reserved room wa...

    The reserved room was a 12-tatami mat Japanese-style room, but it had a 14.5-tatami mat space and a sofa area, allowing for a comfortable stay. It was on the river side of the 6th floor. As a property, it didn't feel particularly special, but the person who prepared the meal in the room was very nice, and we had a pleasant time. The futon was an airwave type and was comfortable to sleep on, and the other bedding was also clean. The onsen was a bit lukewarm. It's close to Tokyo, and if the woman who prepared the meal is there, I would like to stay again.

    The quality of the hot spring is excellent.

    We stayed in a special room for our year-end family trip. This was our sixth visit, and we look forward to this year-end trip every year. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there was no one to greet us when the car arrived, and we had to carry our luggage ourselves. With a stroller and a lot of luggage, it would have been helpful to have assistance. The parking lot is across the river on the opposite side of the Stays, but there was no guidance. Since we had visited before and knew the location, we parked in an available space on our own, but first-time visitors might be confused. Even after checking in, there was no guidance to the Room, and our luggage was not carried for us. I don't know if they were short-staffed or if they stopped providing such services, but it was the first time we experienced this kind of response after several visits, so it was a bit surprising. I think the impression upon arrival at the Property is significant, and it was quite disappointing. As for the Room, it had a bedroom, a 12-tatami mat Japanese-style room, and a sofa space, providing ample space and cleanliness, making it very comfortable. The open-air Onsen with natural hot spring water was simply the best. You can use it anytime you like without leaving the Room, and it makes your skin smooth. The quality of the spring is excellent, and we look forward to it, and we enjoyed it again this time, including the large public bath. The food was standard but delicious and satisfying. Having a private space to enjoy meals slowly is appreciated, especially with children. The Facility is a bit old, but the Onsen is wonderful, and the attentive service made it a favorite Stays where we could spend a pleasant time. If the service improves back to its original state, we would like to visit again.

    I want to visit again!

    Before the stay, I was honestly worried because the Facility seemed old and the meal reviews were mixed. However, upon visiting, the Room was beautifully renovated and spacious enough. The meals, both breakfast and dinner for three nights, were creatively prepared with good ingredients and lovely tableware, providing a delightful experience for both the palate and the eyes each time. Since I was staying with my elderly mother, I reserved an indoor bath instead of an open-air one, which was a good choice, and the large bath was also spacious and very pleasant! I was able to enjoy the charm of a Japanese Ryokan, with meals served in the Room and futons laid out. The staff who came to the Room were all very dedicated and pleasant. If I were to make a request, it would be to have the bottled water in the Room available for free refills. The window on the river side was dirty, which was a bit disappointing for enjoying the view. But it was a very satisfying stay, and I would love to visit again!

    The response from the front desk was disappointing.

    It was my first time using this Hotel. I chose it for its location and the indoor Onsen bath. As expected, the location and the indoor Onsen bath were very good. However, I felt there was a shortage of staff. When I arrived, there was no staff to guide me to the parking lot, and the explanation from the front desk staff was not at all courteous. I had to find my own Room, and I only found out on the morning of checkout which floor the bath was on and that the floors for women and men were separate and did not switch. Also, there was no explanation about the Facility inside the Hotel. There was no guidance about the ramen shop or the foot bath. The response from the front desk staff was truly disappointing.

    I was able to enjoy the Onsen at a leisurely pace.

    I visited with my elderly parents. The building felt aged, but the interior was well-maintained and very clean. It was within walking distance from Hakone-Yumoto Station, making it perfect for strolling around the shopping street. Every dish at dinner was delicious. The rice was cooked to a fluffy perfection, and I would have had seconds if I had room. Breakfast was also a delicious Japanese-style meal. There were handrails at key points in the large public bath, so my parents could safely enjoy the Onsen. I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Healed by the Murmur of the River

    I stayed for the first time. It was a room on the special floor "Ikoi," and I thought it was a property that evolves by incorporating new content while retaining the overall taste of the good old Showa era. Since it was a room on the river side, the view was nice, and I was able to spend time listening to the murmuring of the river, which was very soothing. Both the facility and the meals were impeccable, and I was very satisfied. If I had to say, although multiple yukatas were provided for the room, it might be nice to have more comfortable room wear like samue. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    Satisfaction

    There is a slight sense of age and understaffing, but the interior is clean and tidy, and the room is the same. The room's bath was very satisfying for the women in the family. The large public bath lacks a view, which is a bit of a downside. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, are not luxurious but are sufficient and satisfying. If I had to point out something, it would be nice if the white rice had a bit more shine and fluffiness. Conveniently located near Hakone-Yumoto Station, and also convenient for Lake Ashi if you use the Hakone Shindo by car. Overall, it was a satisfying stay with four stars. When we departed, a veteran male staff member kindly took our photo, which left a great final impression!
