    First Stay

    I made a Reservation because the Reviews were good and the location was convenient, but I had trouble because the bathtub and sink drains did not work well. This was my first time staying at a Hotel in Japan with such poor drainage.

    Feel like traveling in China

    The interior and exterior had the feel of an old-style Chinese Hotel, and it really gave me the sense of being on a trip in China. The playful wallpaper in the Room was also nice. In the bathroom and toilet, it was fun to see nostalgic touches like an ina-branded toilet, a slot for storing used razor blades, and a built-in bottle opener. I was told there would be no ocean view from the Room, but I could actually see a small glimpse of the sea between buildings—an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. (Given the location, I think Rooms with an ocean view are quite rare.) The shower water pressure was a bit weak and drainage took some time, but I felt that was part of the charm of an older Hotel. There were plenty of Hotel staff, and since it was during the Obon holiday period, many families were staying there—lively and energetic—which made it a fun stay. Breakfast surprised me in a good way; the fresh vegetables were delicious. And stepping out from the front desk straight into Chinatown was also super fun.

    A relaxing place to stay.

    As I did last year, I stayed one night at the Rose Hotel while tidying up my parents’ home. After finishing, I checked in at 3:00 PM. This time again, I was upgraded and stayed in a Room on the 9th floor. I was able to take a relaxing walk around Chinatown and Yamashita Park and do some sightseeing as well—it was incredibly comfortable. The in-Room coffee, made with portion pods, was delicious. Breakfast was a bit busy, but there were no long lines. The food was easy to pick up, and everything I tried tasted great—especially the shumai dumplings and rice porridge. I’d love to stay again.

    I stayed with the understanding that this was in a different class from a Business Hotel, so I was disappointed that there were no amenities such as complimentary water in the refrigerator or skincare lotion. Since this wasn’t explained to me, I would have appreciated at least some guidance or additional information. I also felt the parking fee was rather expensive for guests. The Room size and location were excellent.

    The accommodation fee is reasonable, but it’s disappointing that the pool price has increased.

    I stay here almost every year. I was happy to see that older facilities like the air conditioning and toilets have been updated, but it’s disappointing to see the pool fee increase every year, especially since I remember when it was free. I understand that charging a fee can also help prevent overcrowding, so I’m not entirely against it, but I’d like to see improved services—such as free towel changes or some kind of added perk.

    Excellent value for money.

    The building feels a bit old, but it’s located right in Chinatown and close to the station. The in-room amenities were more than sufficient, and if you just need a place to sleep, there’s absolutely no problem. It was so affordable I almost felt bad—truly outstanding value for money. If I ever need to stay overnight in Yokohama again, this is the only place I’d choose. Thank you very much.

    It has also been used for school trips.

    Although Yokohama Chinatown is close to my home, I stayed overnight because I wanted to enjoy a relaxed meal and unwind. Including multiple Hotels, I have stayed there more than ten times. This time it rained during my stay, but I still enjoyed strolling around Hikawa Maru, Yamashita Park, and Chinatown as usual. With Dragon Points, I was able to obtain a commemorative coupon.

    You can really feel the charm of a long-established place.

    I stayed here to relive the feeling of Chinatown after a long time, having used this Accommodation 20 years ago as well. Some features—like the bathroom fittings and the bedroom control box—felt like things you don’t see anymore, but that gave it a charming Showa-retro vibe, and the nostalgia won out. That said, everything was well taken care of and I had no complaints. The value for money was excellent, and I’d definitely like to stay again if I have the chance. It was a very enjoyable stay where I could truly relax and rest.

    Due to a change in p...

    Due to a change in plans, my stay became a Multiple Night Stay at the last minute, but since I had mentioned it in the comments when making the Reservation, they greeted me normally at arrival with “Two nights, right?” After checkout, while I was waiting for the bus at the entrance, I saw a family trying to take a photo, and a female staff member naturally offered to help and took it for them. Overall, their service was consistently thoughtful and smooth. It was a stay that made me want to come back again.

    Due to an earthquake...

    Due to an earthquake, the Shinkansen was delayed and we arrived around 2:00 a.m., but they responded promptly to our advance notice, which was very reassuring. We arrived exhausted, but check-in was smooth and we were able to rest right away.

    It was a comfortable stay.

    From the hospitality and Facilities to the location and access, everything made for an exceptionally comfortable stay. They stored our luggage before check-in, and after check-in they carried it to our Room and guided us there—an especially appreciated service for elderly guests. We also received discount vouchers for Jukei Hanten, plus free-shipping tickets as a guest benefit, so we enjoyed both buying souvenirs at a great price and heading home hands-free. From the Room we could see Chinatown; the bathtub was generously sized; and there was an ice machine and water dispenser in the hallway, which made it easy to enjoy spending long hours in the Room without getting bored. Right in front of the Hotel there is also a stop for the paid bus to Haneda Airport, making access very convenient. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    I’m a returning guest.

    This is my third stay here. The location is perfect! You can make a Reservation several months in advance, which is very helpful. Enjoy street food in Yokohama Chinatown, and there’s a convenience store nearby. Perfect.

    Chinatown is the best.

    My first time back in Yokohama in about 30 years. The Hotel was excellent, and the affiliated restaurants were very delicious. I also bought a variety of mooncakes, and they were great. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Chinatown.

    Fair.

    For the past several years, I have stayed here for one night every May. The Hotel building itself is a bit old, but it seems well maintained and I can stay comfortably. The bed is very comfortable, and I slept soundly until morning. However, my Reservation for an 8th-floor Superior Twin was changed to the 9th floor. That in itself was fine, but although I had always been on the city-view side before, this time I was on the opposite side. The view was blocked by an apartment building, and in the morning I couldn’t even open the garden-facing window/door. While it may not be a guaranteed view room, it says that daylight comes in during the day; however, with an apartment building right in front of me, I couldn’t open the curtains at all. It was very disappointing.

    It was a comfortable space.

    It’s an old building with a sense of history, but the guest room was clean and comfortable. I got back late from a concert and went to pick up my stored luggage close to 7:00 p.m., and they kindly asked, “Did you enjoy it?” without showing any displeasure. All the staff were warm and welcoming. It’s close to the station, and I was able to fully enjoy Chinatown as well. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

    Third time.

    The restaurant lunch is delicious. Breakfast is also delicious. The Chongqing lunch is delicious as well. The parking staff are kind and courteous. Even late at night, the entrance staff greet you kindly and politely. The Hotel is in a great location. I will stay again. Next time, I’ll try the teppanyaki (lol).

    Rose Hotel Yokohama

    Although the building is old, it was clean. It was very convenient, with Chinatown and convenience stores nearby.

    Perfectly located for sightseeing!

    We chose this hotel because it offered a reasonably priced suite where three generations (3 adults and 1 child) could stay together in one Room. It’s a 2-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station and located inside Chinatown, making it easy to explore not only Chinatown but also Yamashita Park, the Red Brick Warehouse, and Minato Mirai on foot. The building is undeniably old, but the toilet and sink area were updated and felt clean. We were happy with the L’OCCITANE amenities, and the slippers were plush and very comfortable. As other Reviews mention, breakfast and the lounge food aren’t particularly luxurious, but considering the location and price, we felt they were more than sufficient. Above all, all of the staff were very kind, which made for a comfortable stay.

    The joy of starting your day with shumai from Jukeihanten.

    I stayed here for work. At breakfast, they even had shumai from Jukei Hanten—something I sometimes bring as a gift!! The rice porridge was also delicious. Thank you very much.

    It is very convenien...

    It is very convenient, with Yamashita Park and Chinatown nearby and a bus stop to Haneda Airport right in front of the Hotel. Although it feels a bit old, I think it is a clean, comfortable, and good Hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Thank you for assigning us a room on the Chinatown side. Although it was described as a spacious unit, it still felt small since I was using it with my grandchild. The cocktail service was included, and because we went early it wasn’t crowded, which was nice. Since the hotel was fully booked, lining up before breakfast opened was the right choice. Check-out didn’t require waiting in line, and all the staff were very pleasant.

    Peace of mind, anytime you stay.

    I always use this Hotel as my base when visiting Yokohama. Even amid the weekend crowds, it’s reassuring to return to my Room and relax. All of the Hotel staff are full of hospitality, which also adds to that sense of comfort.

    Blu-ray Movie Night

    We borrowed a Blu-ray player and had a movie night in the Room. The TV was large, so we really enjoyed it. The bathroom area and the Room were clean, but the table had not been properly cleaned, and black residue got on our hands. I would like it to be cleaned thoroughly. Some bathroom amenities were not provided in quantities for two guests even though two of us stayed, so I would like you to double-check the counts. The bed squeaked, and there was a periodic rubbing-like noise from the air conditioner, which made it hard to sleep. I have stayed here many times, but this was the first time something like this happened, which was disappointing.

    I requested an additional Room decoration to celebrate my daughter’s new job. They upgraded our Room. The interior felt like a modern Chinese style?! The bed firmness suited my family, and we woke up feeling great. There were small L’OCCITANE bottles of body soap and other amenities for each person. There is a designated smoking Room on the 2nd floor with a limit of up to four people. Breakfast was delicious overall, but the selection was limited, which was a bit disappointing. All the staff had wonderful smiles and excellent manners. It was disappointing to find what seemed to be a previous guest’s hair tie on the Room floor. Overall, it was more satisfying than the price suggested!!! I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Reuniting with five high school friends for the first time in 30 years

    I had been planning a trip with five high school classmates since last year. This time, we visited the Yokohama Minato Mirai Ferris wheel, the Red Brick Warehouse, and Chinatown. We arrived at the Hotel early, so they stored our luggage and we went for a walk around Chinatown. It started snowing, and they kindly lent us umbrellas. We were able to book connecting Rooms, and they added an extra bed to one of the twin Rooms. The extra bed was sturdy and very comfortable—great! A humidifier was provided as well, which helped prevent dryness. The Rooms were clean and nice. We could go back and forth between the two Rooms wearing the nightwear provided in the Room, and that night we enjoyed snacks and drinks we had bought while sharing memories. The amenity toothbrush was a bit hard for me. The body towel was excellent! Breakfast at Jukeihanten was delicious, and we were able to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. After checkout, a staff member took photos of us in front of the Hotel even though it was snowing—we really appreciate it! It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!

    As expected of a long-established Hotel.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. The Room was spacious and lovely, the neatly made bed was very comfortable, and the L’OCCITANE amenities were excellent. We truly appreciated everything—from the Plan that allowed us to change breakfast to lunch to the late check-out. In particular, the long-established Chinese cuisine was outstanding, and we were completely satisfied with our stay. We went back for seconds many times. We would love to visit again with our family.

    A comfortable Hotel with a retro vibe

    Located in the heart of Chinatown, it was convenient to go anywhere within the area. I really liked the retro atmosphere of the Hotel, and the Room was comfortable. However, I occasionally noticed sounds from other rooms at night, so those sensitive to noise might find earplugs helpful.
