    Thank you for accommodating us even though we arrived earlier than the check-in time. The beer garden during the pleasant weather was absolutely delightful. It was incredibly relaxing, completely different from beer gardens in the city center. Thank you very much!

    It was a wonderful trip to Gifu.

    The Room and amenities were excellent, with the Nagara River flowing right in front and a stunning view of Gifu Castle from the Room. In the early morning, I enjoyed a walk along the Nagara River directly from the Hotel's garden, followed by a very delicious breakfast. I would love to stay again.

    A great Hotel where you can relax and unwind.

    This time, under the pretext of relieving summer fatigue, I chose this hotel for its promising view and visited for the first time. From the room, I could enjoy a magnificent view of the Nagara River's flow and Gifu Castle, allowing me to relax in comfort. The dinner at "Kairantei" and the breakfast buffet were delicious, but what left the strongest impression was how polite and attentive all the hotel staff were. Even just passing by them, everyone greeted me with a smile and a nod—it left a very positive impression. Additionally, I stayed on the "Premium Floor" this time and had some expectations for both the "Premium Lounge" and "Free Flow," but they fell slightly short of my expectations. It might be better if these services were enhanced further. Finally, I was sent off with smiles from all the hotel staff as I departed feeling completely refreshed. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The Hotel is clean and well-maintained, but the quality of service varied significantly depending on the staff. The reception was extremely business-like. Additionally, the entrance to the Hotel parking lot was hard to find, which caused some trouble. I was also surprised to learn that parking is charged for the first time—1,000 yen. I have stayed in Gifu many times before, and parking has always been free at other places, so this came as a surprise.

    Birthday Trip

    We were upgraded to the Premium Floor. Within walking distance, there is the Ukai Museum, and on August 16th, we enjoyed two Ukai performances. It was very enchanting and captivating, as if stepping into an ancient world. Before and after that, we also fully enjoyed the sauna and bath. For meals, we used the breakfast buffet in the morning; however, it was a bit noisy due to many group guests. Since it’s a Hotel breakfast service, it would have been nice if used plates were cleared during less busy times. Therefore, I rated it 4 stars. Overall, thank you for providing such a wonderful experience!

    The lobby floor is impressive.

    Arriving after 8 PM and finding the large public bath unavailable was quite disappointing. I only used the breakfast buffet, and I think this level of quality is standard for a Hotel like this.

    Questions about Diamond Benefits

    Regarding IKYU Diamond Benefits I was informed that a reservation made at 1 AM on the day of stay does not qualify as a "reservation made by the previous day," and therefore, the benefits cannot be applied. While I can understand if benefits are unavailable due to reservations made just hours before check-in or if accommodations are fully booked for the following day, the response from the front desk was simply, "That's just how it is." I am unsure how much circumstances differ between a reservation made at 11:59 PM and one at 1 AM. However, is it part of your hotel's policy to prioritize such rules over flexible responses in these situations? This is merely a question out of curiosity, so I would appreciate your clarification regarding this policy. No apology is necessary; I simply wish to understand your stance.

    Oasis of the Nagara River

    This was my second stay. In one word, it's an amazing Hotel. Spacious rooms with great views. Free access to the sauna, pool with a bath, and gym! Enjoying a sports drink while relaxing in a leather chair in the cooling room wearing a bathrobe was delightful. The buffet breakfast was on par with that of a luxury Hotel and very satisfying. The 12 PM checkout time is also very accommodating. All of this at half the price of No Meals Included stays at central city Business Hotels. Highly recommended!

    I parked my car at the entrance, but there was no one to guide me, and the front desk was busy assisting other guests, which took quite some time. If there is no doorman available, it would be helpful to have a signboard directing guests to the parking area. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay. At Kairantei for dinner, the service timing was excellent, and the food was incredibly delicious. The pool and tent sauna provided a refreshing experience. I would love to visit again when I come to Gifu.

    I visited Gifu to see the cormorant fishing on the Nagara River and stayed at this hotel. I had reserved two single rooms for my friend and me, but at check-in, we were informed that our reservation had been upgraded to a twin room. I was truly grateful for this gesture. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable with no complaints whatsoever. The view of the Nagara River from outside the room was stunning, leaving both my friend and me deeply impressed. The staff provided excellent hospitality by giving us information about nearby attractions and directions to the cormorant fishing boat dock. Since it was quite hot during our visit, they also kindly guided us on using taxis to get there comfortably. Thanks to their thoughtful assistance, we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and I highly recommend it! If I have another chance to visit Gifu City, I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again.

    Cost-effective Hotel

    Although the Hotel is not close to the station and not new, it was well-cleaned, had excellent service, and provided a comfortable stay. The Room was spacious and riverside. Considering it was during the cormorant fishing season, this price felt very reasonable.

    It was a relaxing experience.

    Stayed with my pet for one night. Due to concerns about the July 5 disaster prediction and our home being in a low-lying area, I searched for pet-friendly accommodations in the highlands of Gifu Prefecture a month prior. However, most were fully booked and unavailable. Eventually, I was able to make a reservation at Miyako Hotel Nagaragawa. Although the prediction did not come true, it became a good opportunity to prepare disaster supplies. The hotel is about an hour from home, with a solid structure that provided peace of mind. The dinner buffet at Miyako Hotel featured Mediterranean cuisine that day—it was healthy and delicious! I ended up eating too much, and even the breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were kind, and relaxing at Flora with coffee while listening to the sound of waterfalls was soothing. Though the prediction didn’t materialize, my time at Miyako Hotel Nagaragawa turned into a valuable memory—something I don’t think could have been experienced elsewhere!

    It was wonderful.

    The location is quite far from Gifu Station, but there are plenty of local buses available, making it a much better choice than staying in the city. The breakfast buffet overlooking the garden adjacent to the Nagara River was excellent in quality. Although I chose a cheaper Room that didn’t face Gifu Castle, the view was still amazing. I would love to stay here again!

    Stayed for 3 nights ...

    Stayed for 3 nights with a breakfast-included plan to participate in a tournament at the Gifu Memorial Center located right in front of the Hotel. The twin Room was spacious with a sofa and offered a great view of the stadium. The cleanliness was excellent, and I was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of dishes, including local specialties like ayu rice porridge, dried persimmon butter sandwiches (so delicious that I ate them every day for 3 days), and chicken Keichan. These meals were especially delightful since I couldn't do any sightseeing due to my busy schedule with the tournament. The only downside was the lack of a large public bath, but overall, I am very satisfied with my stay.

    I was able to relax completely.

    I stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my husband's birthday. We went without any specific plans. Although we initially planned to have dinner outside, we ended up enjoying the buffet, which was truly delicious. With so many dishes available, I slightly regretted not staying for two nights. The chicken dish was exactly to my taste. Breakfast was also served in a buffet style with a different menu, and the ayu rice porridge with ayu chips as toppings made me feel a bit excited. The bed was comfortable, and the bathtub was spacious. From our room, we could enjoy a view of Gifu Castle illuminated until 11 PM, which made me very happy. Above all, what impressed me most was the kindness and attentive service of the hotel staff. I thought this is an accommodation I would like to use again when I want to relax even without any particular plans.

    The view and breakfast were excellent.

    I stayed in a River View Room. The view from the window was open and wonderful, overlooking the Nagara River, Mount Kinka, and the castle. At night, I also enjoyed the illuminated cormorant fishing scenery. The breakfast buffet featured many dishes using Gifu's local ingredients, such as sweetfish rice porridge and dried persimmon wrapped with yuzu. It was delightful as well.

    Stayed with my husband during Golden Week. Our room was upgraded, and we were thrilled with the stunning view of Nagara River and Gifu Castle. As a Diamond Member benefit, I requested tea for the complimentary drink service, which was served in a pot—very satisfying. The cake we ordered alongside it was also delicious. We enjoyed free access to the gym's bath and had a relaxing time. It became a wonderful travel memory. Thank you very much!

    The design and consideration of the Room are wonderful, but...

    This was my second stay. The spacious entrance area where a stroller can be easily placed, the additional room besides the bedroom, the double-basin sink, and the large dressing space make this accommodation perfect for families with children. Additionally, features like outlet covers and adjustable portable lamps give an impression of being more family-friendly compared to other "Welcome Baby" accommodations. However, unlike my previous visit when crawling on tatami left no residue, this time my child ended up covered in tatami fibers, which surprised me. At the breakfast venue as well, I was shocked to find food crumbs all over under our assigned table. Furthermore, although parking for one car was supposed to be free as part of a special offer this time, I was charged at checkout. Thinking it might have been my mistake, I ended up paying for it...
