    I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Akita. The meals, Dakigaeri Gorge, the Onsen, the warmth of the people, and above all, the lush greenery and tranquility made for wonderful memories, including the unpaved road leading to the accommodation. The staff's kind attentiveness was truly touching. I am already looking forward to visiting again in a different season.     A secluded accommoda...

    A secluded accommodation offering a more hidden charm than Nyuto Onsen. The high-quality tableware and furnishings were impressive, harmonizing beautifully with the surroundings. The cuisine was creative and satisfying. The smile of the Myanmar staff member was delightful, her fluent Japanese making conversations enjoyable. The spacious room's open-air bath provided a liberating experience with stunning views of the river below. I also had the chance to play the grand piano in the lobby, albeit not skillfully. This was one of the top three most wonderful accommodations we have ever experienced.

    I found the best accommodation!!

    "Accommodation 'Miyako Wasure' - A Hidden Gem in Nature Driving through winding mountain roads, we wondered how far we would go until suddenly, it appeared. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and treated to a complimentary draft beer during check-in. For my husband and me, who had resisted having beer with lunch earlier, this was the perfect service. Our room featured a large open-air bath, and upon entering, we couldn't help but exclaim at its size and the breathtaking view beyond. First, we enjoyed the private bath we'd reserved (located on an expansive property—this bath was also exceptional). After returning to our room, we soaked in our private open-air bath. The natural hot spring water was soft and perfectly warm—so relaxing that you could stay immersed for hours. The view of the emerald-green river shimmering like a postcard added to the experience. While cherry blossoms in spring or autumn foliage must be stunning here as well, visiting during the fresh greenery of early summer felt equally magical. Both dinner and breakfast were beautifully presented meals centered around healthy vegetable dishes that delighted us with their flavors. The all-you-can-eat "dashimaki tamago" served at breakfast was absolutely delicious. At night, stepping out to gaze at a sky full of stars from the entrance became another unforgettable moment for us. Even up until just before check-out time, my wife—who usually doesn't take baths often—couldn't resist staying in our room's open-air bath. As we left while talking about wanting to return next spring, we felt completely refreshed after spending such peaceful moments away from work. Lastly, special thanks go to the staff member who attended us; his gentle demeanor truly soothed us. Thank you very much."

    It was truly a "Forget-Me-Not".

    Thank you for hosting us during our 3-day, 2-night Multiple Night Stay. The view of the serene jade-colored river was truly breathtaking. Despite it being summer, the Room temperature was a comfortable 23 degrees without air conditioning—cool and pleasant. In the early morning, I soaked in the open-air bath in our Room while listening to the sound of nightingales, and it felt like an otherworldly experience that made me forget I was still in Japan. Since we have small children, we opted for in-Room dining, which allowed us to enjoy our meal at ease without worrying about them wandering around. The staff were true professionals in hospitality. Thank you for providing such a comfortable and wonderful time!

    Miyako-wasure was blooming in Michinoku.

    Sprinkling water on the approach to the entrance upon arrival made us feel the warm hospitality of the accommodation. The onsen, cuisine, and attentive service from all staff were truly satisfying. We enjoyed seasonal dishes featuring mountain and sea delicacies. The Aramasa No.6-X sake was also delightful and paired perfectly with the smoked pickled radish salad. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

    Impressive private open-air bath size and view. The meals were exceptionally delicious, and although access is inconvenient, the great value and hospitality make it a place worth revisiting.

    Accommodation run by the same owner as the previous day's accommodation.

    The accommodation, managed by the same owner as Nyuto Onsen Miyano-yu where I stayed the previous night, was just as satisfying. Before departure, I received a confirmation call for my reservation. Since the accommodation is located in a secluded valley and requires driving on narrow unpaved roads, they offered to pick me up if I wasn't confident in driving. I requested a pickup at the roadside station. While the road seemed manageable without oncoming traffic, driving 20 minutes on a narrow mountain path without guardrails would have been stressful, so asking for a pickup was definitely the right choice. The interior and room were clean, and the private open-air bath in my room was perfect. The meals were also excellent. A foreign female staff member guided me and assisted with meals; her dedicated service made my stay truly enjoyable, and I'm very grateful for it.

    Healing Accommodation

    Ryokan Miyako Wasure, located at the end of an unpaved mountain path, truly lives up to its name, helping you forget the fatigue of city life. The furnishings were exquisite, and the attention to detail in the tableware used for meals was impressive. The front desk offered thoughtful amenities such as a coffee machine available anytime, lemon water, and yogurt. It’s a ryokan worth visiting even from afar. Of course, the food was delicious, and I was especially surprised to find that rare sake available there. I would love to visit again!

    An Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again

    I have been visiting for nearly 20 years since it opened, and I believe they have maintained high quality throughout. The Facility is becoming a bit dated, but the excellent service and delicious meals make me want to return. I have already visited twice this year. The welcome champagne is also a delightful touch of hospitality.

    A Different World Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again

    A unique accommodation located at the end of a narrow path through a dense forest. The bathwater is incredibly smooth, and soaking in the private baths or open-air baths in your room will make you feel completely relaxed and refreshed. The meals are delicious, and the atmosphere is very comfortable—highly recommended.

    A must-visit accommodation you'd want to return to.

    The private open-air bath in the room and the reserved open-air bath were very relaxing. The meals were delicious and plentiful. Although access is inconvenient, the shuttle service is available, so I definitely want to visit this accommodation again during the snow or cherry blossom season.

    Isn't the Onsen amazing?

    The onsen was excellent, but the meals were average. The room had terrible soundproofing. You could hear all the noise and conversations from the neighboring room clearly. Even in the private open-air bath in the room, you could easily tell what was happening in the neighboring bath. I chose this accommodation hoping to spend a quiet and relaxing time with fewer rooms, but it turned out to be a disappointment. Are the staff at this accommodation unaware of these issues? It’s truly disappointing.

    A stylish accommodation you wouldn't expect to find deep in the mountains.

    I finally had the chance to visit this accommodation I had always wanted to experience. As mentioned in the reviews, it boasts a fantastic location, impeccable service, tasteful interior decor throughout the facility, and a luxurious room with an exceptionally spacious bath—everything was truly enjoyable. The only downside was that since it was the last available room at the time of reservation, the restaurant was fully booked. This led to dining in a lovely but overly large and somewhat lonely room. While some may prefer such quietness, it felt a bit too silent for me. That said, after breakfast, I enjoyed coffee on the terrace while admiring cherry blossoms in full bloom—a truly wonderful moment. I would love to revisit this accommodation again!

    The onsen was absolutely amazing. The room's private bath, the reserved bath, and the large public baths (with both lukewarm and hot options) were all clean and comfortable, making me want to bathe multiple times. The hostess was very friendly and attentive, even mentioning during dinner that "the crescent moon looks beautiful tonight." The stars were stunning as well, and the sight of cherry blossom petals illuminated by lights dancing in the night breeze was truly magical. The meals consisted of small portions of delicious dishes with a wide variety that left me feeling full. As a parting gift, I received onsen eggs made at the accommodation's entrance. During shuttle service departure, staff waved goodbye warmly, which left a lasting impression on me. It seemed like there were many repeat guests and solo travelers staying here. There were plenty of relaxing spaces within the accommodation along with complimentary drinks and fruits—everything felt so thoughtful and accommodating. This was such a wonderful accommodation; I would love to visit again!

    Blissful Moments

    Stayed here at the end of a 10-day trip to Tohoku. The road to the accommodation turned into a gravel path midway, which made me a bit anxious. From the warm welcome upon arrival to departure, I had a very pleasant stay. The open-air bath with views of the river and cherry blossoms was pure bliss. The meals were delicious, and I was able to relax fully.

    A quiet Onsen accommodation in the mountains, truly wonderful. This is my second visit, and the open-air bath in the room was slightly larger this time. I enjoyed a luxurious time during my solo trip. The staff are also very pleasant, making it a delightful accommodation.

    It was my first time traveling just to stay at the Property, enjoy the Onsen, and have meals without sightseeing, but I was very satisfied. The time spent in a Room surrounded by high-quality interiors, the open-air bath while gazing at the snowy scenery—it was a blissful Property. I would like to visit again in a different season.     A little confused about the room.

    Recognized as a Property where it is very difficult to make a Reservation, I was finally able to secure a booking for the first day of a three-day weekend. It was the first trip of the new year, and the timing after the snow had piled up was the perfect situation. However, being located at the end of a snow-covered mountain road and full of a sense of seclusion, I had unreasonably high expectations and images of a purely Japanese-style atmosphere, and I was almost shocked to find a Western-style Room. Additionally, the bottom of the open-air bath in the Room was made of something like aluminum, and honestly, my excitement was somewhat dampened upon arrival. That said, the private open-air bath and the large public bath matched the sense of seclusion perfectly, and although the pace at which the meals were served felt a bit fast, the taste was impeccable. If I have the opportunity to visit the area again, it will be a candidate for accommodation, but whether I repeat my stay may depend on the Room's setup.

    This is a highly recommended Stays.

    The long-awaited Towa-sure-san. It was more moving than I imagined. Anyway, the spirit of hospitality was just amazing. It was my first experience that the light snacks served with the welcome drink were different. The warm way of speaking of the person who attended to us left a very good impression. When the start is good, expectations naturally rise, don't they? The bath, the spaciousness of the open-air bath in the room was the best, and the quality of the spring and the temperature were also very good! Also, I really liked the waterfall bath in the private bath, and I was just hit by it. Haha It was also nice that there was a sulfur smell only here. When we returned from the private bath, they moved the slippers we took off in front of the heater, and they were warm. I was really impressed by that thoughtfulness. The meal was in a luxurious private room. The explanation of the dishes and sake, and they even engaged in small talk with my mother, it was really a fun time. And above all, they celebrated my mother's birthday with a song. I was really moved by the heartfelt singing voice. My mother was also very pleased. Thank you very much. The hot water bottle in the futon, and the onsen egg when leaving, no matter where you look, I really thought it was great to choose this property! I truly felt that way. There are honestly few properties that offer such heartwarming service, so I'm glad I encountered it. I definitely want to go again! I'm extremely afraid of insects, so it will be limited to winter, but... haha I look forward to the day we can meet again someday. Thank you very much for taking care of us.     I was almost overwhelmed by the level of care provided. It was wonderful to have everything taken care of by one person, and I felt fantastic. I'm considering going again around the time when it snows.

    Long-awaited!

    Finally, I was able to visit! During this season, I have an irresistible urge to visit Akita's Onsen, and I've always tried, but the Reservation never matched. This time, the timing finally worked out, and I was able to stay! First of all, for those heading by Shinkansen and rental car, especially with Toyota Rent a Car, I definitely recommend starting from Tazawako! The Toyota Rent a Car in Kakunodate is far from the station! The distance feels the same even from Tazawako Station. Upon arrival, it was truly a forget-the-world kind of experience! Especially the Onsen in the Room was the best. Akita has many great Stays with good people and good Onsen, but the meals don't quite match. Unfortunately, the meals this time were also somewhat lacking, but everything else made for a truly wonderful stay! In the same Tohoku region, Yamagata has many Stays with high-quality meals, so why? I wondered, but nonetheless, I had a great stay. Thank you very much!

    A solitary Stays in the mountains. Soak in the private open-air bath of your Room, get out, take a nap, and repeat. There's nothing else. You don't need anything else. It may feel a bit expensive, but considering you don't need a taxi with the Shuttle Service, it's understandable.

    Driving endlessly on...

    Driving endlessly on an off-road path, a Property suddenly appears... That alone gives a special feeling. The sense of being in a hidden place was amazing and lifted my spirits. The indoor bath and private bath were wonderful, but the autumn leaves visible from the Room's open-air bath were so beautiful and truly moving. The staff were kind and friendly, allowing us to have a comfortable stay throughout. I was very pleased with the balance of the breakfast. Being able to choose the fish, and the half-buffet of fruits, salad, raw eggs, and onsen eggs allowed me to customize my breakfast to my liking, leaving nothing behind, and I was very satisfied. The natto was delicious! This is a Property I definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much.

    The service was excellent with kind and attentive staff. The bath and facilities were very thoughtful, making for a pleasant stay. The meals were delicious, utilizing local ingredients. This is a property I would definitely like to visit again. When we were seen off, we received an onsen egg, and I was surprised by the thoughtfulness of including a small packet of salt with the hand towel.

    I arrived at the inn with a sense of anxiety and nervousness, barely making it there. For those driving there for the first time, the mountain road might be quite surprising. Once I arrived, time seemed to slow down, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay. I was satisfied with the bath, and the service was so meticulous that it created an indescribable atmosphere. The only disappointment was the meal. Perhaps it was due to the season? There wasn't a dish that could be called the main, and although there were many items, it wasn't a meal that left a lasting impression of deliciousness. I wonder if it would be better during the hot pot season. I look forward to next time.
