    Accommodation of Thoughtfulness and Inspiration

    We stayed for one night to celebrate my daughter's 15th birthday. From the warm welcome at Matto Station, we were delighted by the hospitality. The room was meticulously maintained, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The private open-air bath in the room was set to a perfect temperature of 41°C—neither too hot nor too cold—and we enjoyed it so much that we used it multiple times. The course meal was exquisite, with fish, meat, and vegetables all prepared to highlight their natural flavors. Everything was absolutely delicious. Even the local rice left both my daughter and elderly mother deeply impressed. During dinner, there was a special birthday song performance by the hostess with a golden microphone—it created such a lively and heartwarming memory! The next morning, we enjoyed matcha tea in a tea room while admiring lotus flowers and red dragonflies—a serene scene that brought peace to our hearts. Every staff member—from attendants to front desk personnel and shop staff—was warm and unique. It felt as if we had returned home to our family. There were some unexpected surprises during our stay; however, thanks to the charming personality of the hostess, they turned into moments of laughter and became cherished memories as well. On our way back on the bus, the driver passionately shared information about local specialties and landmarks. Thanks to him, we managed to buy wonderful souvenirs before leaving. Though it was a short stay, I am grateful for these unforgettable encounters and experiences. We look forward to visiting again soon with feelings akin to returning home. Thank you so much!

    A luxurious dilemma

    The hospitality of the staff was excellent. The temperature of the private open-air bath in the Room could have been a bit hotter. The Room was spacious, allowing for a relaxing stay. The view from the window, with rain dripping off pine trees, had a charming atmosphere. We opted for in-room dining but thought it might have been better to enjoy dinner at the dining area for variety—a luxurious dilemma indeed. If road conditions permit, I would love to visit again during winter when there is snowfall.

    It was the best experience.

    We stayed here to celebrate our parents' wedding anniversary and longevity. Upon arrival, the staff kindly accommodated our parents, who walk slowly, and guided us to the best room. Everything from the bath to the meals was an exceptional experience. What stood out most about this accommodation is that while it is a traditional establishment with many old features, there were no signs of damage or dirt anywhere. It was evident that everything is well-maintained with great care on a daily basis. The meals were excellent, and even though my parents usually don't eat much, they finished everything and were very pleased. The staff showed consideration for my father until our departure, making every moment from start to finish truly outstanding at this accommodation. Our parents were extremely satisfied and said they would love to visit again anytime. We look forward to staying here again in the future! Thank you very much!

    I would like to visit again!

    The approach from the parking lot is stunning, offering beautiful views of water lilies and lotus flowers. In the morning, you can enjoy blooming water lilies, and at night, a special experience of watching fireflies! We truly enjoyed the natural surroundings. The staff member attending to us was friendly and efficient, providing excellent hospitality. As we were leaving, the proprietress kindly took a family photo for us, capturing a moment full of smiles—we were absolutely delighted. Exceptional service left us deeply impressed.     A Hidden Accommodation with Great Accessibility

    The shuttle service is excellent, making it convenient from both Kanazawa Station and Komatsu Airport. The meals were well-timed, balanced, and very delicious. I really enjoyed the natural hot spring bath with free-flowing water.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    The Ryokan has a traditional atmosphere, but the rooms and facilities were clean. The open-air bath attached to the room was very relaxing, and I used it multiple times. The food was delicious, and I imagine the winter seasonal dishes must be exceptional as well. I would love to visit again.

    Discover the New by Learning from the Old

    A traditional accommodation. The cleanliness and warmth of the people more than made up for the age of the building. It was a two-night stay that delighted both my palate and heart. I rediscovered the comfort of staying at a "Ryokan" after a long time.

    Everything is well taken care of.

    The room was equipped with sewing kits and even a pen to ensure toothbrushes in the washroom wouldn't get mixed up, which was quite surprising. It was impressive to see how much customer feedback is valued and reflected. I would definitely like to stay at this accommodation again. The 4-star rating for the bath and facilities is due to the narrowness of the changing area in the open-air bath and the difficulty of using the water dispenser.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. The open-air bath in the room was excellent, and the large public bath was also wonderful. The room was spacious, even more than enough. The meals felt slightly healthy but were just right for my appetite and very satisfying. The staff were exceptional, truly showcasing outstanding "hospitality."     Check-out at 11:00 AM would be ideal.

    Stayed in the Phoenix Special Room of the new building. The room was too spacious for two people and might be more suitable for 4-6 guests. The 4.5 tatami mat Japanese-style room was unused. The Room's private bath included both an indoor and outdoor bath, each just big enough for one person to bathe comfortably, but not spacious enough to stretch out fully—slightly larger baths would have been more comfortable. The meals offered a variety of dishes, but the shabu-shabu-style hot pot already had beef placed in it beforehand, causing it to overcook and become tough. It would have been better if served separately. Check-out time is at 10:00 AM, but since the shuttle bus departs at 10:00 AM as well, staff advised us to check out and wait in the lobby by 9:45 AM. We left our Room at 9:35 AM after soaking in the private bath for about 15 minutes following breakfast (an hour earlier). It seemed like early action was encouraged due to potential front desk congestion; however, implementing a "pre-payment system" could allow guests more flexibility. We boarded the bus just before 10:00 AM only to find several passengers already seated. Despite this, departure did not occur until after two Western men arrived past 10:05 AM followed by two older Western couples a few minutes later who leisurely boarded without concern for time. While I am unsure what instructions they were given regarding timing, stricter adherence or communication about departure times might prevent such delays as tardiness among Western travelers can sometimes be common. This delay caused unnecessary stress as I worried about missing my IR train departing at 10:38 AM; fortunately, we arrived at the station around 10:30 AM without issue. However, this final experience left an unpleasant impression overall.

    Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, meeting my grandchild in Toyama at the designated spot. This was my second time staying here, and it was just as enjoyable as before. I would love to stay again!

    Energetic Urban Elderly Woman Solo Trip

    Stayed in New Building Room 302. The room was spacious with a Japanese-style room, a Western-style bedroom, and a sunroom. It was impeccably clean, with beautiful fresh flowers arranged in the alcove. From the window, we enjoyed the view of cherry blossoms in full bloom. Relaxing in the private open-air bath and using the massage chair was pure bliss. In summer, it is said that water lilies and lotus flowers bloom beautifully in the pond.

    I chose a Plan without breakfast.

    This was our first stay in two years, with my husband, myself, and our daughter who just started first grade. Last time we visited during Golden Week, but this time the pollen and yellow dust were much worse than in Tokyo, causing severe sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes! However, we appreciated being shuttled to the nearby Tedori Fishland (though it was hard to find a taxi for the return trip) and also being provided shuttle service to Adventure Land. Visiting Fishland on a Monday meant it was almost like having the place to ourselves—no lines at all! We could even request specific rides from staff members. It was both comfortable and fun. This time we chose a plan without breakfast. While it gave us plenty of time for packing on checkout morning, it would have been nice if dinner could start at 5 PM under this plan. The private hot spring bath in our room had water at 36.5°C initially—too lukewarm for us—but they kindly adjusted the temperature as needed. The shower pressure was incredible and felt like a massage—it was very relaxing. The meals were delicious overall; they even asked about our daughter's preferences and accommodated gluten-free options for us. However, we found that there was too much rice served with each meal—it felt wasteful not finishing it all despite trying hard. The room had ample towels and yukata prepared for us along with multiple large trash bins. The bathroom area included tissues and paper towels as well—a thoughtful touch! The spacious room also featured two toilets plus separate refrigerators for freezing and cooling in the kitchen space—all of which made our stay very comfortable. Special thanks go out to Ms. N from housekeeping who took care of our room so well; Mr. K from mobile bodywork services; Ms. H from aromatherapy massage; as well as everyone involved in shuttle service or other staff roles—they all seemed genuinely happy doing their jobs! Next time we'd love to visit during June when pollen isn't an issue—and when fireflies are beautifully visible. During our previous visit, the hostess sang a birthday song in our room while presenting Kutani ware as a gift—a memorable experience! Unfortunately this time she wasn’t feeling well so we couldn’t meet her—we hope she recovers soon!

    Every detail was meticulously attended to, allowing my wife and me to enjoy an indescribably wonderful time. Having meals served in the room for both dinner and breakfast was a major highlight.     Although we arrived ...

    Although we arrived later than planned, everyone welcomed us with warm smiles. The Okami was a cheerful and kind person, truly soothing! The staff who assisted us, including the one who prepared the futon, were very friendly and shared a lot about Kanazawa. Thanks to everyone, my partner was able to fully enjoy their first Onsen Ryokan experience in a relaxed manner. The room was very spacious and impeccably clean. The view of the courtyard from the window was also stunning. If we visit Kanazawa again, we will definitely come back here. Thank you so much!

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. I was able to relax completely. The conversations and service from the room staff were interesting and engaging, making my stay enjoyable. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, offered an impressive variety of dishes, which I found very satisfying. Especially for dinner, being served Ishikawa specialties and seasonal ingredients made it perfect for my first trip to the Hokuriku region.     It was excellent.

    We visited as a family of three. It was our first time using the service. The Room was spacious, and although it was snowing, the garden view from the Room and the open-air bath in the Room were both excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were served in-room, and everything was delicious. Upon departure, they even cleared the snow off our car for us. We received hospitality that exceeded its price, and my whole family was very satisfied. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Subtle hospitality

    I stayed with my elderly mother. I always have concerns about whether it can be used without problems with a wheelchair when making a reservation, but here, there was no such worry, and we were able to use it comfortably. The meal was prepared in the next room, and we appreciated the thoughtfulness. Dinner was also satisfying. The meat, in particular, was in small portions but very tender and sufficient for us, and the crab rice was delicious, allowing us to fully enjoy the taste of the Hokuriku trip. I think this property is perfect for a winter trip to Hokuriku. I would love to visit again in other seasons as well.

    I felt warm and cozy.

    The tagged crab was very delicious. The proprietress, Eiko-san in charge, and everyone were so kind that I didn't want to leave, and I had a great time. It was heartwarming. The only disappointment was that the humidifier I borrowed was small and not very functional, so my skin, which is sensitive, became dry. Since the Room is spacious, having a large air purifier and humidifier would be ideal. Everything else was very good. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

    The thoughtful consideration that goes one step ahead is wonderful.

    This was my second stay. Although there is no onsen town and you can't enjoy the atmosphere of an onsen area, it is located in a spacious area where you can feel the four seasons, offering a different, secluded atmosphere from an onsen town. Some parts of the facility are old, but the air conditioning and toilets are equipped with the latest models. This time, my father used a wheelchair, but he was able to move from the car stop to the room in the wheelchair, which was helpful. Also, the room's kotatsu was table-style, allowing him to use it while in the wheelchair, which made him very happy. More than anything, before we could even express our wishes, the attendant? suggested solutions multiple times, which was truly considerate (I believe both the person and the property have such an atmosphere), and it was a Happy Surprise. The meals were impressively creative, labor-intensive, and well-seasoned, but the quality of the crab and meat felt a bit lacking. In any case, I believe the most important thing at a property is consideration, and in that sense, it was wonderful. Usually, the second stay at the same property is often disappointing, but this time it was even better. It's unavoidable, but the new building's bathhouse is a bit narrow and has many steps, making it a little difficult for those with mobility issues to enter. P.S.     This is a Japanese Ryokan.

    I was able to spend a relaxing time at the Ryokan with a calm atmosphere. The meal in the Room with a semi-open-air bath was also delicious (Room service!). Thank you for your hospitality.

    I was able to relax again this time.

    As a local, I use this place when I want to relax. The meals are not extravagant dishes you find everywhere, but rather meals that make use of local ingredients, which is very pleasing. I look forward to it every time. It's great that it's friendly to families with children, and my kids look forward to going every time. The bath with the natural hot spring is recommended and relieves fatigue. I think it's a good local Onsen Stays.

    Very satisfied!

    Although my arrival was later than expected, I was very pleased to be welcomed in the dark. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the beautiful garden due to the darkness, but the approach to the lobby was lovely. The food was delicious and filling, and I enjoyed a relaxing and quiet bath. At checkout, I had a conversation while looking at the surrounding map, and I was informed about some wonderful places to visit during the cherry blossom season. I would love to visit again in the spring.

    It is a traditional, old-fashioned hot spring inn!

    I stayed for one night and two days, and everyone, including the proprietress, welcomed us warmly, allowing us to have a very pleasant weekend. The meals were carefully prepared, and the hot spring water was excellent! Also, the sake we had during the meal, a lightly sparkling sake from Yoshida Brewery, is highly recommended! Definitely try it! However, regarding the facility, although renovations have been made, there are still some old parts remaining and some areas that appear worn, but since it's a ryokan and not a hotel, I think that adds to its charm. Thank you very much.

    Satisfied

    The open-air bath in the room was spacious and surprising! I was able to relax and enjoy it while gazing at the trees. On the first day, it rained, so I couldn't tour Kanazawa, but I was satisfied with being able to enjoy the hot springs and have delicious meals at the inn.
