  Not worth the price.

  I had been looking forward to staying at this long-desired hotel and room. The room looks sleek in photos, but the wooden chairs were hard, the sink area was narrow, and the bathroom was not separated, causing water to splash everywhere and making it slippery. It wasn’t enclosed as a proper room, so it was surprisingly cold. Despite the cold, the shower pressure was weak. Both the sink and bathroom seemed outdated as water splashed everywhere when used, making them inconvenient. I expected the onsen to be nearby but found it quite far away, which caused me to feel chilled after bathing. The shuttle bus service was helpful; however, when I waited for a bus and mentioned my destination upon its arrival, I was told that this bus doesn’t go there. This resulted in having to transfer buses while being met with an exasperated attitude from staff. During a Christmas event where certain routes were closed off, I asked someone nearby if I could pass through a specific area only to be told that someone is stationed there (to block access). When no one actually appeared present at that spot and I pointed it out again politely asking for assistance—though they eventually opened access—the interaction felt dismissive rather than welcoming overall. While some front desk staff members or other individuals were kind-hearted professionals who left positive impressions amidst these experiences…there weren’t vending machines available onsite nor convenience stores easily accessible without descending steep hills nearby either—which added further inconvenience overall during our stay experience here unfortunately! Regrettably speaking honestly now reflecting back afterward—I truly regret spending such amount of money staying here given everything considered altogether!

  Autumn Leaves Hoshino Resort

  I visited Preston Court during the peak of the autumn foliage season. It was very magical, and the air was clear, which was very nice. However, after entering the Onsen, I wished I could walk around in a samue instead of the clothes I was wearing. That was disappointing. The breakfast was very wonderful and delicious. The night view was also very beautiful and amazing.

  I was satisfied.

  It was a better stay than I had imagined. I appreciate the warm hospitality of all the staff. I will visit again in the near future.
