    I visited Kakujourou in winter.

    I went to Kakujourou to celebrate my wife's birthday. The building has a historical feel, but I was surprised that the staff were foreigners and check-in was done via LINE. We stayed in the Unjorou Yuu Room. Since it is a separate building from the main building, moving around was a bit troublesome. The food was made with local ingredients and was delicious. From 15:00 to 17:00, there was a happy time where we could enjoy beer and wine, and we had a pleasant time before dinner with a couple who stayed on the same day.

    Solo travel for adults

    Even if you go with two people, you will be satisfied, but sometimes you may want to relax alone. Perfect for such use. Reading a book with a light buzz during happy hour will relieve your daily stress. The lighting in the dining room is a favorite.

    The best Stays.

    The room is clean and the staff is courteous. The pufferfish for dinner is also excellent. I stayed last year and had pufferfish, last year they prepared one pufferfish per person which surprised me, so this time it wasn't like that. If possible, I think everyone would be amazed if you could bring that back.

    A tranquil Stays that evokes the good old days

    As it is a property with quite a history, the stairs are steep, which might be a bit tough for those with mobility issues. Also, we stayed in a room with an open-air bath in the main building, but the room was not onsen, which was a bit disappointing. However, the whole family was very satisfied with the overall atmosphere, hospitality, and meals at the property. During the happy hour from 3 PM, my sister and I enjoyed delicious cakes and beer, spending a relaxing time. After relaxing in the onsen, we went for dinner. The meals, especially the fish, were delicious, and each dish was prepared with great care, leaving us very full. The staff were from overseas, but everyone was very accommodating, and their smiles were wonderful. We also got to meet the mascot cat, Myu-chan. It was a very quiet cat, small, fluffy, and adorable.

    Two consecutive years

    Last year, we stayed at Izutsuro, and this year we used Kakujoro. The delicious meals and the service from the staff in charge were as wonderful as ever. What I think would be nice to have are a key box for the bath and slippers in the Room's bathroom.

    Enjoyed the finest Enshu Torafugu.

    I used it for the first time and it met my expectations, so I would like to use it again. The food, the staff's smiles, and their greetings were wonderful. I was very satisfied.
