    Everything was great.

    The service was excellent, the view from the window was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious room service meals. If we have the opportunity, we would love to stay again.

    Perfect for your child’s first pool or beach experience.

    We stayed here because we wanted our daughter, who had just turned one, to have her first pool experience during summer vacation. The Hotel has a pool on-site and is only about an hour from central Tokyo. The forecast made it seem like it might rain, but it turned out sunny, so after checking in a little after 3:00 p.m., we were able to use the outdoor pool from around 4:00 p.m. The weather was great—the sun wasn’t too harsh, it wasn’t overly crowded—and we could enjoy the pool very comfortably. There was also a small jacuzzi, which was popular as well. For dinner, there were three Western-style course options; even the most affordable Shichirigahama Course had plenty of food and tasted great—we were very satisfied. The next day after checkout, we stopped by Yuigahama Beach (with underground parking), and our daughter also got to experience the ocean for the first time. It was a wonderful memory, and we’d love to stay again next year.

    Please use the air conditioner carefully during hot weather (Twin Room B).

    I stayed one night in Twin Room B. Although it was a weekday, the rate was high for the peak summer season. Even considering the convenient location, it felt overpriced after my stay. The Room and Facility felt quite dated, but the interior was well cleaned. When I opened the small balcony door, the ocean view was nice, but it was disappointing to see that the weeds on the grounds directly below looked completely unattended. The biggest issue during my stay was the air conditioning in the Room. Even on the highest fan setting, it barely worked. According to a thermometer/hygrometer I brought with me, the lowest temperature it reached was 28°C. I called the front desk and had them bring a fan, which I left running until morning so I could manage to sleep. The young male staff member who helped me and the female staff member at check-in (wearing a “trainee” name tag) were both very pleasant, so I had a good impression of all of the younger staff who assisted me. On another note, having long parking hours was extremely helpful. I checked out early and left my car in the Hotel parking lot until afternoon while sightseeing using an Enoden day pass. Is the upper building where Twin Room A is located newer? If that side has air conditioning that works well enough, it might feel safe to stay even in seasons when cooling is necessary. This first stay had several positives as well, but I think I would have been more satisfied if the Accommodation Fee felt more reasonable overall. Next time, I plan to choose dates when I feel comfortable with the Accommodation Fee.

    We had a wonderful time.

    To everyone at IKYU, Thank you for always helping create wonderful memories over the years. We truly enjoyed the warm hospitality and delicious cuisine at Kamakura Prince. We returned home hoping to visit again when we have the chance. Thank you very much.

    Meals are available.

    I always use IKYU and have been very satisfied, but this time the dinner was terrible. Dinner was served in the building to the left after exiting the main entrance. After being shown to our seats, we were left unattended for about 15 minutes. Then someone asked, “Has your order been taken?”—even though they were the one who seated us. Only then was water brought to us. After a long wait, a tray with four items—an appetizer and sashimi among them—finally arrived, but it felt like something from an inexpensive cafeteria. Then we had to wait again. When my husband was close to losing his patience, the pork fillet cutlet finally came. It was soaked in oil, and after we had eaten more than half of it, they said, “I forgot—please eat this with it,” and brought the sauce. We were at least expecting a seasonal dessert, but instead we were served canned fruit with a small piece of agar jelly. When leaving, I asked to confirm that this was Hotel dining, and I was told, “It was a coupon plan, wasn’t it?” A coupon? We booked normally through IKYU.com. I started to respond but ended up sighing; my husband said “Enough,” so we returned to our Room without even understanding what they meant by “coupon.” It did not feel worth the price at all—the next morning’s breakfast was far more luxurious. This made it especially disappointing because everyone else at the Hotel provided excellent service.

    The staff are courteous and attentive.

    Every year, we stay here in the summer along with using the pool. Although the building is older, it is well cleaned and feels very tidy.\nAlso, because the grounds are spaciously laid out, it doesn’t feel cramped and you can relax comfortably.\nThe front desk and pool staff are all very hospitable, so we would like to stay again next time.\nThank you again for this year.

    A Little Midsummer Getaway

    We stayed here for a birthday outing. Since we usually drive when traveling because we tend to have a lot of luggage, it was great that parking was free during our stay. 　The ocean view from the Room was amazing, and it was a wonderful escape from everyday life. In the evening, we took the train to a restaurant we’d been wanting to try, and in the morning we enjoyed breakfast at a lovely cafe. With No Meals Included, it’s nice to be able to visit local spots. The next day, it was also very helpful that we could go out while leaving our car parked. It was quite hot, but being able to avoid the heat as much as possible by using the Shuttle Service bus was another plus. We’d love to stay again.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We used a restaurant in the separate annex on the property for a family meal. The prices were reasonable, and while it wasn’t perfect, I’m glad we chose it. It didn’t have as much variety as the Prince Hotel breakfast buffet, but the taste was satisfying—it felt like a proper Hotel meal.

    A Hotel with great v...

    A Hotel with great views. Truly spectacular scenery. The view from the Room: the windows were large, offering a full panoramic vista. The ocean, Enoshima, and Mt. Fuji in the distance. The Hotel pool was also beautifully illuminated at night, adding to the scenery. I was worried about the quality of the food, but it turned out to be an unnecessary concern. The breakfast buffet felt upscale and tasted great. The kenchin-jiru vegetable soup was also delicious. Overall, I’d say it’s a high-quality buffet. One downside was that parts of the property seem to be aging; the shower and bed felt a bit dated. That said, there were no functional issues. Another issue was the loaner DVD player—it didn’t operate very smoothly. It’s also a minus that the shower/toilet/sink area is small; for a Resort Hotel, I would have liked more space. Even so, my overall rating is very high. Above all, the outstanding views. The food was far better than expected—really delicious. Service is good as well. The lobby atmosphere is pleasant too. Having a shop on-site is helpful—I bought beer to drink in my Room and some souvenirs. It was my first time staying at this Hotel, and I was surprised by how far up a steep hill it is located. I managed to climb up and reach it, but walking up that hill is tough. At check-in they told me about an inclined elevator (funicular-style lift), but I wish their website highlighted its availability much more clearly. In the Hotel lobby there are various handwritten guide maps available; they were very helpful—maps of the area around the Hotel, walking routes, hydrangea viewing spots, and more.

    A Hotel Where You Can Feel Great!

    Perhaps because I chose this Hotel without overly high expectations, my stay was highly satisfying in every way. The view, the Hotel’s exterior, the front lobby, and the Room— it was “So nice!” again and again. The staff’s warm smiles also left a great impression. It was only a one-night stay, but it became a wonderful travel memory. Thank you very much.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    It has become my routine to stay in Kamakura twice a year, and it has been nearly 15 years now. This was my first time staying at this Accommodation. From check-in until I left the Hotel, the staff were consistently gracious, with refined service and elegant manners, which made my stay very comfortable. The meals were also delicious. Since the cuisine is so good, I would have liked a slightly wider selection of wines. Although it is French cuisine, I felt that having options such as Italian Nebbiolo- or Sangiovese-based wines—or more affordable yet distinctive choices like Chinon—would add even more enjoyment to selecting a pairing. With this course menu, I think I would have chosen a Cabernet Franc from Chinon. The view from the room was wonderful, and thanks to the terrace design that allows you to open up the doors fully, the sea breeze drifting into the room felt delightful as time passed slowly. From the outdoor terrace on the pool level, I could see a waxing half-moon along with Jupiter and Venus peeking through gaps in the clouds. Everything was extremely comfortable, and there was a sense of time unique to this Hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    As always, the quality was consistently excellent. It was a wonderful stay.

    Having lived nearby for almost 30 years, I’ve occasionally used this Hotel when relatives from out of town or guests from overseas visit and I want them to relax and enjoy a leisurely weekend locally. It’s a classic, time-honored Japanese resort-style Hotel, and everything—from the service and views to the building itself and the staff’s hospitality—is reliably high quality. It always delivers a wonderful experience that feels as if time has stood still for the past 30 years, never failing my expectations. Considering this level of quality, I find the price very reasonable. With more inbound visitors and the area becoming increasingly lively, and with various Accommodations opening nearby, I imagine things must be challenging in many ways—but I sincerely hope you will continue providing the same service without change, like a part of Japan’s traditional culture.

    I had long wanted to...

    I had long wanted to stay at this Hotel, and I finally had the chance. As expected, the view from the Room was breathtaking and helped me forget about everyday life. I was looking forward to breakfast, but there seemed to be too few staff, and the service didn’t feel attentive; the noise and bustle were distracting. Since the view from inside the restaurant was wonderful, it was a bit disappointing. If I have the opportunity to stay again, I look forward to it. Thank you very much.

    It’s a wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed here with my daughter. The ocean-view Room was wonderful, and we were able to relax and enjoy tea time in the lounge as well as the limited-time SAKURA BAR. Breakfast was also very delicious. The floor above was noisy late at night, but when I called the front desk, they responded politely and promptly, for which I am truly grateful to the staff. It’s a lovely Hotel where you can refresh yourself and enjoy a resort-like atmosphere. I would love to stay again.

    The service was outstanding!

    I had only used the lounge before, but this time I stayed overnight to attend a lecture held in the banquet room and to do some sightseeing. The service was excellent. From the front desk, shop, lounge, banquet room, and housekeeping staff—everyone made my stay comfortable from start to finish. The Room is a bit dated, but it was very clean and well maintained. The size was more than adequate. From the Room I could see the ocean, Enoshima Island, and even Mt. Fuji. I stayed for two nights, and it was very helpful that they provided mineral water for each guest every day. I ate out this time so I didn’t use the restaurant, but the cake I had at Lounge Ajisai was incredibly delicious—I was truly impressed! This is a Hotel I would definitely like to use again.

    Clean and comfortable, with delicious breakfast; a Hotel you'd want to stay at again.

    I stayed for one night at this accommodation. The smiles of the front desk and staff were wonderful, the place was clean, and the location was perfect, just steps away from the ocean. After walking a lot during my exploration of Kamakura, I was tired, but the comfortable bed and pillows helped me relax. The amenities included a hairdryer I had been curious about, which worked great and left my hair feeling smooth. The room was well-maintained with no odors, making it a pleasant stay. There is a shop next to the front desk like a convenience store, which is handy for any forgotten items. Additionally, there’s an escalator on the slope leading to the entrance for added convenience. Breakfast was served as a buffet with several varieties of my favorite tea brands to enjoy different flavors. There were also croissant rusks that were delicious. It was such an amazing hotel that I’d love to stay again within this year!

    A relaxing trip to Kamakura was absolutely wonderful. Sunset, sunrise, Mt. Fuji, Enoshima— the perfect location! I look forward to visiting again for another refreshing and peaceful stay.

    If you value status,

    Stayed without meals for a marathon. If you're looking for Prince status, the price is reasonable. Given the location, it seems popular for banquet hall events or golf guests. Situated on a small hill, it offers views of the sea and Mount Fuji, which justifies the price—3 stars.

    Be amazed by the stunning sunset!

    The male staff were particularly kind and attentive. While the building and facilities are old and not entirely satisfactory, the location is excellent, offering a breathtaking view of Enoshima and Mount Fuji against the backdrop of a sunset. I would love to stay here again.

    Located slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Kamakura, this is a favorite Hotel for a very relaxing stay. The ocean view is especially stunning, with breathtakingly gorgeous sunsets on clear days. The spacious parking lot is also convenient.

    Stunning views

    It was my first time staying, and it truly felt like a Prince Hotel. The elevator provided easy access to the banquet hall, so the slope was not an issue. The room service meals were delicious, and the bags and accessories in the shop were of high quality. The morning felt a bit chilly. The aroma inside the hotel was pleasant. The view of Mount Fuji in the evening was also wonderful—absolutely stunning scenery!

    I will come again.

    After about 15 years, I revisited Kamakura Prince. The accommodation cost has increased compared to before, but this time I was able to stay at a discounted rate thanks to a campaign. Although the facility felt quite old, it was clean, and the staff were pleasant and made my stay enjoyable. I was delighted to stay again at Kamakura Prince designed by Kiyoshi Seike. From the room, I could watch Shichirigahama bustling with many surfers enjoying fan waves caused by Typhoon No. 22's swells. Mount Fuji illuminated by the sunset was also beautiful. It was nostalgic to enjoy delicious food at nearby Sango Reef as well. While Kamakura has seen an increase in international visitors, Kamakura Prince remained quiet and peaceful. Next year, I hope to stay for several days and take my time even more leisurely. Thank you very much!

    I stayed at Kamakura...

    I stayed at Kamakura Prince Hotel for the first time with my sister from September 22 to 23. The room was spacious, and the ocean view from the window was stunning. It was very comfortable. What I especially liked were the bed and pillows—they were incredibly comfortable, and I slept soundly until morning. Although I've stayed in many places before, this was the first time I had such a good night's sleep. Is it a special type of bed? I also appreciated that the hairdryer was ReFa—it dried my hair quickly and gently. I didn’t use much of the amenities like skincare products, but upon closer inspection, it seemed there was only enough for one person. It’s a bit disappointing that the toilet and bath are combined; having them separate or having an onsen facility nearby would have been nice. The selection at the shop seemed limited—having items like medicine, disinfectant, or cooling patches would be helpful. Both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were delicious! For breakfast, being able to take coffee to go on our way out was a great touch!

    With Family Memories

    We have been staying at this Hotel since our children were young, and even after they grew up and left home, we continue to visit as a couple. The staff's hospitality, the beautiful views, and the pool have remained just as pleasant and comforting as before. However, due to aging facilities, the air conditioning was not very effective... It might also be because of the high outdoor temperatures, but we felt warm even inside the Room. We also noticed some dust on the wall near the air conditioning vent. Still, it is a Hotel we would love to stay at again.

    I was very satisfied.

    I had never used it before as it is close to my hometown, but it was excellent! Although the building has been around for some years, it is well-maintained and clean. Compared to hotels in the city center, the spacious grounds make it feel far from cramped. Additionally, being on a lower floor with a view of the ocean right in front was wonderful. Nearby, there are places like Bills, Coral Reef Main Store, and Pacific Bakery that add to the resort-like atmosphere. The hotel staff and pool staff were also very kind. It’s a Hotel I would love to visit again after a long time!

    The building may fee...

    The building may feel a bit old in some parts, but every staff member provided excellent and pleasant service. Relaxing while gazing at the sea right in front of you offers an unparalleled sense of elegance. The course dinner was delicious and satisfying. I will definitely stay here again!

    Hotel Daisuki - Excellent Location

    Thank you for your hospitality. Once again, it was an enjoyable, comfortable, and wonderful stay. The staff were as kind and pleasant as always, which made me very happy. The location is excellent with a spacious design and a breathtaking terrace... simply amazing. The cold brew iced coffee collaboration with Fukujuen was also delicious. It seems the breakfast has been renewed; it was much tastier than before with plenty of ingredients from Kamakura—absolutely delightful! The option to choose egg dishes was very appealing. Thank you for accommodating my requests this time as well. Thanks to you, I had a fun, relaxing, and fantastic trip filled with gratitude. I truly love this Hotel and will definitely come back again... Thank you so much! Mahalo!
