    Overall, it was good.

    I was able to spend my time slowly and leisurely. There is a supermarket right in front of the Ryokan, and you can go shopping in your yukata. Regarding smoking, there were two places with ashtrays installed. I think it's cheaper to buy alcohol at the supermarket and bring it in. As for customer service, it was very kind and polite, and I had no complaints. The meals were also very satisfying. Perhaps because of the good water quality, the rice tasted delicious as well. I think there are hits and misses depending on the Room, but it's better to use the large public bath than the bath in your Room. In my Room's bath, there were many disappointing aspects such as a broken showerhead.

    Enjoyed a quiet stay.

    I suddenly wanted to enjoy an onsen, so I selected this place as it seemed like a traditional ryokan in Atami and used it for the first time. Despite being in the city, it has a quiet atmosphere, and I stayed in a standard type room. The room had a spacious layout with 15 tatami mats in the main area and additional rooms of 6, 5, and 3 tatami mats each. We could relax comfortably as two people while feeling the history and charm. The building is old but has been maintained well including its facilities, so it might not suit those looking for a modern or new ambiance; however, it's ideal for those who want to spend time quietly surrounded by tatami mats. Both dinner and breakfast were served in-room; although not luxurious, each dish reflected the chef's care with deep flavors that were deliciously captivating. It was more than enough quantity-wise for us older guests to be satisfied with the meal. Regarding onsens: there was some concern about differences between upper (switched from male use at night) & lower open-air baths' atmospheres when alternating genders next day but overall they provided good alkaline springs warming up body nicely! I would like to use this property again if given another opportunity.

    It was a Property with the best hospitality and a calm atmosphere in Atami. It was a Property that made me want to stay again. The meals, the Room, and the Onsen were all excellent.

    The room for three p...

    The room for three people during the holiday was around 100,000 yen. The price was reasonable, but it was as expected. The staff were personable, but the service was not refined. It felt like there was a shortage of staff. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was clean, but the age was noticeable. The room attendant provided only the minimum service and was inefficient, with almost no handling of irregular requests. The food was delicious, but not memorable. There was no place to drink coffee, and the souvenir corner was dusty and should be removed. It's puzzling why IKYU's rating is high. Since it differs from the price range I usually use, this might have resulted in such a harsh comment. Thank you for your understanding.

    Enjoy an open-air bath and in-room dining at a reasonable price!

    I stayed in the Room called Akebono. I often stay at ryokans that specialize in rooms with open-air baths and in-room dining, and while many ryokans usually cost over 100,000 yen per night, this one offered excellent service and meals at a reasonable price range, making it very satisfying. The room was spacious, beautifully cleaned with a Showa-era atmosphere, allowing for a relaxing stay. We prefer ryokans like this that cherish and use older buildings over new modern Japanese-style ryokans. The 11 a.m. checkout is also helpful. The attendant was as kind as a mother, which made my wife very happy.

    We had a great time.

    Thank you very much. It is a bit far from Atami Station, but with few rooms, it was not noisy, and I was able to spend a relaxing time with my friends. The staff at the property were also kind and talked to us a lot. Above all, the meals (both breakfast and dinner were served in the room) were delicious, and everyone was satisfied. The beef and seafood were especially good. I would definitely like to use it again.

    It is a calm and nice Stays.

    The room and building may not meet expectations for luxury, but they are neat, and the Onsen is good for the skin, leaving it smooth without a strong smell, which was nice. The meal in the room felt a bit rushed, but for those who eat at a normal pace, it should be fine. The content was neither good nor bad, and while it can't be said to be very delicious, it is sufficient. A taxi is needed from the station, but it is convenient as it takes about 10 minutes. Kinomiya Shrine is also nearby, but since it's on a slope, a taxi is recommended. With the number of Ryokans decreasing and prices soaring these days, I think you can visit with peace of mind, so I recommend it.

    The building was ver...

    The building was very old and the interior of the Room felt like a typical Ryokan, but it was well-cleaned and comfortable. The best part was that the food was very delicious! The seasoning was delicate, and I enjoyed everything. As I was pregnant, I was very grateful for the accommodation of a pregnancy menu. However, I felt that the substitute for sashimi being yuba was a bit lacking.

    We had a great reunion.

    We held a reunion at Sanpeiso, 45 years after graduating from Waseda University. The requests from participants were for a wide tatami room, meals in the room, an Onsen Ryokan, and reasonable costs. The feedback from participants was high praise, saying, "Isn't it the best?" Although the Ryokan has a 70-year tradition and the building is somewhat old, key areas have been renovated, and it was satisfying. It is a Ryokan in a small forest where you can hear the birds chirping, offering a wonderful location. Above all, the female staff member in charge was excellent, kind, and friendly. Thank you for the relaxing and enjoyable time.

    Everything was perfe...

    Everything was perfect. It gives the impression of an old-fashioned Ryokan, and although the building itself shows its age, it is well-maintained and clean, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant soak in the good hot spring! It is within walking distance from the station, and the ability to check in early was also very nice, allowing us to refresh both body and mind away from daily life. I will definitely use it again when I come to Atami!

    It was a very quiet ...

    It was a very quiet inn, and I was able to spend my time leisurely. There was no need to share with others, and the hot spring felt like a private bath. The temperature of the water was also satisfactory. All the dishes were delicious, and the portions were just right for us in our 50s. The person in charge of us was pleasant until the end. Thank you very much.

    It is unsanitary.

    First, I booked a plan that costs over 60,000 yen per night. I made the reservation because of the high ratings in the reviews, but I only felt discomfort... I think this damages the trust in Ikkyu. The front desk and common areas are filled with the smell of mold. The carpet is stained all over, which made me very worried about my child walking on it. I was bewildered by how unsanitary the futons and kotatsu covers in the room were. The lounge was not open due to a lack of staff, and there was no notice on the website. When I contacted the front desk at 8 PM, they said they would address it the next day because only security was available due to staff shortages. However, there was not even an apology until the end. The food made me think it was from an izakaya. When I ordered wine, they said they didn't have any available. Since the lounge wasn't open and they couldn't serve decent alcohol with room service, I had no choice but to eat out. I made the reservation because I didn't want to eat out. The food was not worth the price. I think it's questionable to operate at this price without being able to provide satisfactory service due to staff shortages. To be fair, the older female staff members were nice. I think it's the responsibility of the management. If there had been any points that made me want to support them, I would have used the facility again, but I only feel resigned towards a place that can't even apologize. It turned out to be the worst anniversary. Ikkyu, I've used your service a lot, but this was the worst. Please be careful not to lose trust.
