Pros and Cons

A friend from overseas visited Japan, and since they have always appreciated the quality of Suwa's Onsen and the view of Lake Suwa, we chose this historical and popular accommodation for their first stay. Here are some disappointing points and positive aspects: First, the door lock of the room we were guided to did not work. After checking in, it took time to address this issue before returning our rental car, which caused a delay in returning it. The staff mentioned that similar issues had recently occurred with other rooms as well. Since the lock was not automatic, perhaps a prior check could have identified this problem? This led to a loss of valuable travel time, which was very disappointing. On the positive side, disposable tabi socks were provided, and ice cream was available after bathing—both of which were highly appreciated by my overseas friend.
