    Stayed for two night...

    Stayed for two nights in the Main Building Deluxe Japanese-Western Room with a river view. The breathtaking view of the gorge and Yamabiko Bridge from the room's window immediately brought joy. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and combined functionality with comfort. Enjoyed a very pleasant stay amidst the stunning scenery of Unazuki Onsen and Kurobe Gorge. Would love to visit again in autumn to experience Unazuki Onsen during that season. One small note: as meals are buffet-style, it might be unavoidable, but the table arrangement felt a bit less relaxing. Additionally, the special menu dishes (during our stay: clam chowder in pastry and roasted vegetable soup curry) were the same on both days. Offering different dishes alternately would be appreciated for multiple night stays. Overall, it was an extremely comfortable hotel experience. Looking forward to staying again! Thank you for your hospitality!

    ● Pros The buffet meals were fairly good. ● Cons - While I requested a Room far from the elevator, the noise and vibrations from children in adjacent and upper floors disturbed my sleep until late at night. Was there no consideration for such factors during Room assignments? Is it due to poor soundproofing? - During dinner and breakfast, seats were pre-assigned. When I asked if changes could be made, I was told "No!" My assigned seat was near the buffet area with frequent foot traffic, making it hard to enjoy my meal peacefully. It was disappointing as I had been looking forward to this experience. How are seats determined? Are window-side seats facing the river unavailable through IKYU.com for both dinner and breakfast? It felt somewhat discriminatory. - The air conditioning temperature cannot be adjusted (only High, Medium, or Low settings). Even on Low, sleeping caused throat discomfort. - Lighting adjustments cannot be controlled at hand level. - The sink is inside the unit bath, which is very inconvenient to use. - The door does not have an auto-lock feature.

    Due to the summer ho...

    Due to the summer holiday season, it was very crowded, and when we arrived soaking wet from a sudden downpour, the check-in process felt indifferent and straightforward. Although there was an explanation at the front desk, the Wi-Fi connection did not work, which was inconvenient. On the floor below the front desk, there was a relaxing space where we could enjoy coffee comfortably. The large public bath was spacious but crowded with children around 3:30 PM and later filled with adults seeking relaxation around 11 PM. At 5:30 AM, it was moderately busy but offered the most peaceful time to enjoy the soft water. For dinner, although it wasn’t peak season, the yellowtail sashimi stood out as particularly delicious. The buffet-style setup caused some lines and confusion among guests during busy times, highlighting staff efforts to manage crowds. The Room itself allowed for a relatively quiet stay despite groups of children nearby; only faint footsteps were noticeable. It would be convenient if comb amenities were provided in each Room (they are available in the public bath).

    If it's Kurobe, it has to be "Yamanoha".

    The hotel was much larger than expected, with many guests. As a result, the meals were served in a buffet style. I understood this after visiting. There were no major complaints. Since Kurobe Onsen town had very few people around, it seemed there weren't many accommodation options available. The children were delighted. Thank you very much!

    The family-type accommodation was very crowded, likely due to the summer holiday season. I was hoping for a more relaxing experience, so it felt a bit different from what I expected. The meals were buffet-style, and the menu was almost the same for two days, which was slightly disappointing. Overall, however, I had an enjoyable stay and left satisfied!

    The room was clean and satisfactory, but the amenities were insufficient. The room only had a toothbrush, and the public bath area provided only minimal essentials. It would have been better if there were more amenities available. I also noticed that part of the wallpaper in the hallway was peeling off. Since it’s in a noticeable spot, it would have been nice if it had been fixed promptly. As for the cart used to carry luggage, while I didn’t mind taking it to my room myself, having to return it to the front desk was inconvenient. Wouldn’t leaving it in the hallway be acceptable? The Onsen experience was excellent with no complaints; however, depending on the time of day, I felt there weren’t enough sinks (with hair dryers) available in the dressing area. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner. The recommendations for each day were clearly displayed, and live cooking stations added an enjoyable touch to dining. There was a wide variety of dishes—so many that I couldn’t try them all—and everything I ate was delicious until I reached my limit! The lobby near the front desk offered great views (despite rainy weather), and seeing a red bridge from there made me happy. While welcome drinks were provided, no one at reception mentioned them; I only realized they were available by observing other guests’ actions. A brief explanation from staff would have been appreciated!

    Orix Resorts rarely disappoint.

    Highly satisfying experience with excellent value for money. As expected from Orix Resort, they truly deliver. They seem to perfectly understand the needs of today's travelers, keeping costs low while maximizing satisfaction. The Room and bath were exceptional, which seems to be a hallmark of Orix Resorts. There are many foreign staff members, but their hospitality training is outstanding, providing excellent service in Japanese. It’s also very convenient for international travelers. I genuinely look forward to staying here again!

    The spacious and cle...

    The spacious and clean Room with a stunning view of the trolley train was very comfortable. Unlike most Ryokans where you need to call the front desk after check-in to request children's yukata or slippers, everything we needed was already prepared in advance, which was excellent overall. However, as the amenities in the Room were limited, it would be great if they could enhance the amenities provided in the public bath area if this style is maintained. The buffet featured Toyama specialties like black ramen and soup curry, which were not particularly impressive, but other non-Toyama dishes were very delicious. The skewers were especially tasty and worth getting seconds. Overall, it was a satisfying stay with no complaints at all.

    The most comfortable sleep ever.

    One common concern when traveling is the discomfort of sleeping on unfamiliar futons or beds. Even if a brand name like XX Company is mentioned, what doesn't suit you simply doesn't suit you. As someone prone to shoulder stiffness, I often returned from trips feeling more tired than when I left. However, the bed at this Hotel was incredibly comfortable! Although the website doesn’t mention which brand it is, the quality speaks for itself. It was a wonderful surprise. Of course, individual preferences may vary, but I believe this is a feature worth highlighting with pride.

    Guidance upon arrival at the Hotel was smooth, and check-in procedures were completed in a shorter time compared to other hotels. It was disappointing that the sauna was full and unavailable. In terms of meals, there were fewer vegetable options.

    Stayed at this accommodation to ride the trolley the next morning. The view from the open-air bath overlooking the terraced rice fields was stunning! The place was spotless, and the buffet featured many Toyama specialties, making it fun to choose and everything was delicious. There were plenty of dessert options, and both the pudding and milk ice cream were very tasty. For those planning to ride the trolley, this ryokan is highly recommended.

    Family Trip

    We went on a family trip with our grandchildren to Unazuki Onsen. We stayed for two nights, but we were slightly dissatisfied as the buffet menu was exactly the same both days. Our grandchild is small and takes naps, but there was no futon available, which was inconvenient. However, the taste of the buffet and the staff's service were both excellent.

    I noticed significant improvements in your accommodation since my stay last November. However, I found the drink corner in the lounge, which seems like a welcome drink area, to be somewhat lacking. The selection of beverages is limited, and there are no cold drinks available even during the hot summer. Adding ice to cool down drinks feels inconvenient. Perhaps it would be better to either fully commit to an all-inclusive style or have a lounge without any beverages at all. The view from the window is more than enough on its own.

    An accommodation you'll want to stay at again

    We stayed here again for my husband's birthday vacation. Although I forgot to mention it was his birthday during the Reservation, I informed them at check-in. While same-day arrangements were difficult, to our surprise, they offered a complimentary drink during dinner! We were deeply touched by their hospitality. As expected from such a popular Accommodation, both the buffet and baths were crowded, but their attentive service made us want to return again. It became a very memorable birthday! Despite the affordable price, all the staff are truly wonderful at this Accommodation.

    I love it!

    How many times has it been? Every visit is satisfying. The meals are different each time, but the Onsen and the staff's warm smiles remain unchanged. I will visit again.

    This is the place to enjoy Unazuki Onsen!

    I stayed for 2 nights and was very satisfied with the smooth and rejuvenating effects of the Unazuki Onsen water on my skin. The spacious dining area requires a short wait upon entry, but the staff guides you efficiently, so it’s not an issue. Meals are served buffet-style, allowing you to enjoy various flavors of Toyama. Highly recommended for rice lovers—everything was delicious! You can have plenty of fun just staying at this accommodation by playing table tennis, enjoying games, or shopping for souvenirs. Two minor drawbacks: At the women’s onsen slipper area, there are clips provided as markers, but they seem insufficient as slippers went missing at times! Also, amenities were basic—non-branded shampoo and showerheads with hair dryers priced around 5,000–6,000 yen. Overall though, I was extremely satisfied and would love to visit again!

    The Orix Group properties in Hakone, Aizu, and this time have been satisfying overall, though there were some shortcomings.

    The scenery, onsen, and meals were all satisfying as described in the title. Since I chose a low-priced room, I didn't expect much of a view, but I had no particular complaints. However, one issue was that the WiFi kept disconnecting and was completely unusable. Even older onsen accommodations nowadays have reliable WiFi facilities, so this was more surprising than disappointing. It disrupted my planning for the detailed itinerary after visiting Kaga Onsen the next day.

    5-day, 4-night Hokuriku trip: Final accommodation

    The accommodation day was unfortunately rainy, but the weather cleared up the next day, making for a great final day of the trip. The room, facility, and bath were cost-effective. The onsen was especially excellent. As it is a large-scale facility, there were quite a few guests, and meals were buffet-style and reasonably priced. The room was spacious with a massage chair, allowing for a relaxing stay.

    It was excellent.

    Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and everyone’s greetings were pleasant. The food was served buffet-style with so many options that I couldn’t try everything. Both the bath and the Room had great views, and I even felt like taking a ride on the trolley, which wasn’t part of my original plan. The Room was absolutely perfect.

    Fully satisfied!

    "More than worth the price," we were both very satisfied. If I may suggest one thing... it would be great to have an additional towel in the washroom. On our way to Unazuki Onsen via Route 8 by car, we stopped at the roadside station "KOKO Kurobe"... The view of the Alpine mountain range from there was breathtaking!

    We stayed for an anniversary trip and thank you for the surprise cake. The buffet meals were very satisfying. While the exterior felt a bit dated, the view from the front desk inside the hotel was wonderful. The interior of the hotel was spotless, and we would love to stay again.

    Great value with excellent seafood and Onsen.

    The best cost-performance accommodation with an onsen I have ever stayed at. The meals were buffet-style, featuring an open kitchen with Toyama specialties such as sushi, tempura, buri shabu, and Himi udon—absolutely satisfying. As for the onsen, the outdoor bath offered a stunning view of snow-capped mountains. The baths had both hot and warm options, and the sauna was at a perfect temperature—very satisfying as well. Although many of the staff were foreigners, they were very kind and provided clear explanations, offering better hospitality than similar hotels. I would love to visit again!

    It’s kind of subtle, though.

    We were initially on the 5th floor, but the Wi‑Fi wouldn’t connect, so we were moved to the 6th floor. However, after about an hour it stopped working again, so we gave up. We went with high expectations for the meals after watching YouTube videos, but they were just okay. Maybe I expected too much (lol). Overall, considering the price, it’s excellent value for money. You can really tell the staff are working hard.
