    Touched by thoughtful hospitality

    The weekend rates were reasonable, so I decided to stay. It was a renovated Hotel with a classic and calm atmosphere. Although I noticed a slight smell of tobacco in the non-smoking room and some peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, I was deeply moved by the staff's thoughtfulness. After mentioning our wedding anniversary in an email, we were seated by the window for dinner and celebrated with a dessert cake afterward. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality!

    What a surprise!

    The room has a stylish Old English atmosphere, which is nice. However, maintenance seems lacking as the chandelier is noticeably tilted, which was surprising. The bathroom door only opens halfway and requires force to open—can't this be fixed? Additionally, I was bitten in six places by fleas or mites.

    Birthday Party with Friends

    We stayed as a group of six. My three friends and I stayed in a twin room with an extra bed added, which was comfortable. However, the mother and daughter stayed in a semi-double room, which was small and had noisy air conditioning that made it difficult for them to sleep.

    I forgot something, but thank you for the prompt and careful packaging and the heartwarming letter. My stay at the Hotel was very comfortable.

    The front desk staff...

    The front desk staff provides excellent and pleasant service. The valet parking service is also very convenient and enjoyable. The Onsen is wonderful, but the cold bath in the sauna is lukewarm, and a proper relaxation area would be appreciated.

    A Long-Awaited Couple's Getaway

    We visited Dogo Onsen together for the first time in a while. The location is excellent, just about a 5-minute walk to the onsen town (though the slope is steep), making it very convenient. The Hotel staff were always attentive and considerate, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful vacation. The exterior and interior of the Hotel have a retro feel, which might appeal differently to each guest. The large public bath at the Hotel was far better than the public baths in the onsen town.

    The dinner was delicious, so it was disappointing.

    Most of the staff lacked smiles and the overall service felt unwelcoming. During dinner, I ordered a full bottle of wine, but overheard the waiter questioning the sommelier with "A full bottle?!"—leaving me wondering about the tone behind it. Additionally, my wine glass was taken away while there was still wine left in the bottle, leaving me speechless. The sommelier's arrogant attitude ruined what could have been an enjoyable meal. The Hotel had a charming English ambiance, but the portrait directly facing the elevator felt overly authoritative and unnecessary for travelers like us looking to enjoy our stay.

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay, with the first being in 2019. Despite the challenges faced by the tourism industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems your accommodation is thriving, which made me very happy. I chose a plan with two meals included, and I especially enjoyed the amuse-bouche, appetizers, and desserts—they were absolutely delicious. Even guests at a neighboring table were praising them! While strolling around Dogo Onsen, I noticed that each hotel's yukata design is unique. Often I find myself wondering which hotel a particular yukata belongs to. The yukata design of this hotel is truly beautiful; wearing it while exploring made me feel very proud. I hope this design remains unchanged for years to come. Lastly, I'd like to express my gratitude to the front desk staff who quickly noticed me pulling my suitcase in the cold rain before check-in and kindly helped carry my luggage. Thanks to their thoughtfulness, I felt genuinely warm-hearted during my stay.

    It was my first time...

    It was my first time staying at this accommodation, and both the exterior and interior decorations had a European style, making me feel like a princess and allowing me to spend my time in elegance. I stayed with three friends, each in a single room, and the wallpaper in each room was different, creating unique atmospheres. We enjoyed visiting each other's rooms as they were all lovely. The semi-double bed was very comfortable, allowing for a restful sleep. Although I was told it was fine to go to the bath empty-handed, there were no cleansing products or body towels available, so I returned to my room to remove my makeup. It would be appreciated if cleansing products could also be provided. I would love to stay here again!

    Casually enjoy the Onsen

    The room was filled with British-style furnishings, creating a harmonious and pleasant atmosphere. I was pleased to be guided to the room. The Onsen was hot and abundant. The air purifier in the room was appreciated, but that model can become musty if not properly maintained, although it wasn't too concerning. It's a good hotel with excellent cost performance.

    The staff's service ...

    The staff's service was pleasant. The bath is completely fed by a natural hot spring and is clean, but I was concerned that it was too cold due to too much outside air being let in. However, if you soak up to your shoulders, you will feel warm even after getting out of the bath.

    I felt very relaxed.

    The staff's service was impeccable, and the interior and furnishings were calm, allowing for a relaxing stay. There was a time when unused towels in the large public bath were piled up in a disorganized manner, which was a negative point.

    I want to stay here again!

    The excellent location close to the main building, the friendliness of the staff, the clean and well-maintained room, the delicious meals, and the availability of towels for the Onsen allowed us to go empty-handed, making it a flawless hotel! The Christmas-themed decorations in the lobby were also lovely, and upon closer inspection, we realized they were available for purchase, so we bought a tree as a memento of our trip. As we left, we said that if we come to Dogo again, we would like to stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful service.

    We enjoyed the Onsen at a business price.

    I stayed for two nights in a single room for a business gathering, and there was a splendid large public bath with an open-air bath, allowing me to leisurely enjoy the Onsen. The breakfast offered both Japanese and Western set meals, and I was satisfied from the morning!
