    Wonderful stay

    The spacious Room was very comfortable. We could see a little of the ocean from the Room, and it was wonderful at sunset. The meals offered a wide variety, and we were very satisfied. The hospitality of the staff who welcomed us was also delightful, making our stay truly memorable. I also accidentally left something behind, but you promptly delivered it to me, for which I am truly grateful. Thank you very much for everything.

    Universal Twin (High Floor)

    The service, meals, and baths were all very satisfying. Thank you for taking photos for us at departure despite being busy. These are not major complaints, but: 1) We are both elderly, eat smaller portions, and do not drink alcohol, so the all-inclusive option felt a little expensive for us. We would appreciate a Plan for guests who do not drink. 2) Although it was described as a universal twin Room, the toilet lid did not open/close automatically and it did not flush automatically. The toilets in the large public bath were fully automatic, so we would appreciate it if the Room toilet were fully automatic as well. The bath in the Room was easy to use.

    The Facility was new...

    The Facility was new, spotless, and beautifully clean. What disappointed me was the dining. The buffet offered an enormous variety of dishes, but I was very disappointed that there were only a few kinds of sashimi, which I had been most looking forward to in Shiretoko.

    The food was good, with many unique dishes. However, around 10:00 p.m., water suddenly started leaking from the ceiling and some of our belongings got wet. When I called the front desk, they came right away, but I was surprised when they asked if they could bring maintenance staff into the Room for repairs. They can repair it as they like, but we didn’t care about repairs—we just wanted to change Rooms since it was already late at night. They moved us to a better Room, so I was satisfied to some extent.\n\nBut when I looked closely at the leaking ceiling, there were stain marks, making it seem like this wasn’t the first time and had happened many times before. I don’t think it’s acceptable to rent out a Room to guests when repairs are incomplete. It’s disappointing because the food was otherwise great.\n\nBy the way, we were fairly satisfied with the bath.

    A Wonderful Stay Filled with Warm Hospitality

    If you’re staying in Shiretoko, I highly recommend this Hotel. The Hotel is new, clean, functional, and wonderful—but more than anything, I can’t count how many times I was moved by the staff’s thoughtfulness toward guests, their natural smiles, and genuine hospitality. Unlike the recent trend in big cities, they weren’t overly ingratiating, and the comfortable sense of distance felt truly pleasant. I think it’s a Hotel worth going out of your way to visit—something as wonderful and valuable as Shiretoko’s nature itself. The meals were also truly delicious and never got boring; I was satisfied in every respect. There are so many great things about this Hotel, but it reminded me that it’s people who move people. I also saw staff training newcomers and teaching them various things, and their attitude and way of working were careful and impressive. It’s been a long time since I found a Hotel where the staff shine like TV stars. Just my personal opinion: people in the same industry in Tokyo who focus only on price and facilities could learn a lot from this place (lol).

    Recommended for families with children.

    It’s part of the same group as Kitakobushi, but since I’ve stayed at Kitakobushi before, I chose this one for this trip. This time it was a mother-and-daughter trip with my junior high school daughter. KIKI is a bit more compact, so while I remember having to walk quite a lot inside Kitakobushi, getting around the Hotel this time was easy and comfortable. The gift shop was spacious and full of stylish items, with a great selection of plush toys and other options for children. Everything—from the Room to all Facilities—was spotless, the staff’s hospitality was excellent, and both breakfast and dinner were absolutely satisfying. There were so many things I wanted to try that I couldn’t possibly eat it all. I didn’t drink alcohol myself, but having alcohol included in the dinner buffet is a wonderful perk for those who do. Of course, there were also plenty of sweets that dessert lovers will be very happy with. I visit Shiretoko regularly to see orcas in Rausu, and next time I’d like to plan a less packed itinerary and spend more time enjoying the Hotel stay. I would love to stay again on my next visit as well. Thank you for such a comfortable stay.

    It was a very enjoyable Hotel.

    The Room was old and didn’t have a great view, but I was happy that the lobby offered unlimited Sapporo beer and snacks. I also found it interesting to hear the guide’s talk about brown bears. The bath felt like being in the middle of the forest. The meals were also very delicious.

    We came here to celebrate a special occasion.

    We stayed here on our first trip to Shiretoko. At check-in, the staff even congratulated us on our anniversary. The Facility was beautiful and very clean, and above all, the meals were outstanding. We stayed for two nights and looked forward to every meal. The Japanese cuisine in particular was excellent!! If possible, it would be nice to have a mirror in the living area of the Room. Even a small tabletop mirror next to the TV would have made it easier to do makeup. The washbasin area is a bit dark. We also enjoyed relaxing in the Onsen, and the open-air bath was wonderful. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we’d love to come back again. Both my spouse and I were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    I had high expectations, but...

    I had high expectations because the Reviews were very good. Perhaps because we arrived during dinner hours, the guidance was minimal, and there was no information about the lounge drink and light snack service. Since we couldn’t book a dinner plan, we were given recommendations for nearby restaurants, but one of the suggested places was closed on its regular day off. I understand that this may not be part of the Hotel’s responsibilities, but it would be helpful if information on closing days were kept up to date. For reference, a nearby affiliated restaurant was excellent. To be clear, none of the staff were unkind or unpleasant. The large public bath with the better view and more space is for men at night and women in the morning, which is disadvantageous for women who don’t take a morning bath. Since I (not my husband) paid for the Hotel stay, I can’t help noticing Accommodations where male preference still remains. Due to circumstances, I used the Room bath on the second day; even if it’s understandable that it’s small even in a deluxe Room, when I filled it to soak in it felt slippery on the surface… detergent? I couldn’t get in at all. It may not be used often, but overall cleanliness of the Room itself was not an issue. Housekeeping did not come every day; towels were hung on our door on day two. That was fine, but shop hours on the first floor were also short—was there a general staff shortage? Breakfast had a wide variety and was arranged to avoid crowding; it was very good. We also had dinner at Kita-Kobushi (an affiliated property), and despite being a buffet every dish looked stylish and tasted great as well. Next time, I would definitely like to stay there instead.

    Be sure to enjoy our well-appointed baths and breakfast made with Hokkaido ingredients!

    I used the “Room assigned on arrival” Plan for a solo trip. Since I arrived early, while I was in the lobby a staff member kindly offered to check me in and let me start using the lounge drinks and other services right away. The bath and sauna facilities were excellent—above all, very spacious. It was also a big plus that all the shower heads were ReFa FINE BUBBLE PURE. For hair dryers, I believe there were ReFa, Dyson, and another brand as well. They also had baby beds for children, and the changing area was roomy. From late afternoon into the evening after bathing, they provided Pocari Sweat and ice cream. Even though I was alone, my Room felt almost too spacious—in a good way: a natural Japanese-style tatami room of about 10 mats where I could truly relax. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, but looking outside I could see the sea and feel close to nature. Breakfast was genuinely delicious. Compared with places known for having one of Hokkaido’s top breakfasts, there may not be as many items—but each dish is truly well made. There were Karafuto shishamo smelt, salmon, beef bowl made with Hokkaido beef, and live-cooked omelets and fried eggs. The must-try items are cod roe (tarako) and Matsumae-zuke—both were far better than what I’ve had elsewhere. The udon uses Hokkaido wheat flour, and since the broth is kombu-based it has a gentle flavor that seems great for kids as well. There weren’t many fruits or sweets, but there was a decent variety of bread. I didn’t try the Western-style dishes, but they also offer hashed beef stew over rice and hot sandwiches. The seating is spaced out nicely too. When it was time to leave, while I was in the lobby they let me know when my bus arrived, so I could relax until the very end without worry. The hospitality isn’t overly attentive in an intense way; instead they keep an appropriate distance while still providing lounge services—and for me that balance felt just right.

    Family Trip

    I visited Shiretoko for 3 nights and 4 days to see the drift ice and Steller’s sea eagles… The staff’s thoughtful attention to detail was wonderful. Around 6 a.m., I looked out the Room window and saw that they had cleared the snow off the rental car’s windshield in the parking lot. I was truly moved by that kind of care. When we couldn’t leave because icicles around the tires wouldn’t come off, a staff member rushed over and removed them all for us. The meals were delicious, too. The ReFa shower was great! I’d love to come again.

    I really like Kiki after all.

    This is our second visit. Since coming here last year, we’ve fallen in love with Kiki. Everything is perfect. The staff are incredibly dedicated and provide attentive hospitality that exceeds expectations. They notice what you need before you even ask and act swiftly—truly admirable service. We were reminded of the true spirit of hospitality here. The quality far exceeds the price, and we are genuinely impressed. We’ll definitely be back next year, and we’re already looking forward to it! Thank you so much to everyone for taking such great care of our family of six!

    Visit Shiretoko in the Off-Season

    This time, it's the "Leave-it-to-us Room Plan." The Sunset Twin Room allowed for a relaxing stay with views of the sea and sunset in Shiretoko, complemented by a comfortable Sealy bed. The service was excellent, with attentive care even at the restaurant. The buffet featured a wide variety of delicious dishes, from local specialties to Japanese and Western cuisine, as well as desserts—truly satisfying. The open-air hot spring bath with natural flowing water had great quality and was very enjoyable. However, since the indoor bath uses circulated water, I wanted to enjoy the open-air bath more but found it occasionally occupied by people resting after using the sauna. Other than that, everything was perfect. Excellent value for money!

    The sauna is excellent.

    The facility and staff service are excellent. The Onsen facility is spacious, open, and wonderful overall, regardless of the spring quality. The sauna, in particular, is outstanding. However, the buffet-style meals were not satisfying in terms of ingredients and preparation. Of course, preferences and evaluations regarding food vary from person to person, so this is just a personal opinion. Overall, it was a comfortable hotel aside from the meals.

    Wonderful Hotel

    We stayed at the accommodation for our annual family trip. Since we chose the "Room by Assignment" plan, we didn't have high expectations for the room, but everything else was very satisfying! The staff were all pleasant and efficient, providing a very comfortable experience. After check-in, we enjoyed drinks and snacks on the terrace while feeling the cool evening breeze—a precious moment to escape from our busy daily lives. Being an all-inclusive accommodation, it was wonderful to have coffee and other beverages available anytime. For dinner, there were various dishes featuring Hokkaido ingredients that made it hard to choose; we ate until we were full and thoroughly enjoyed wine and beer as well. Having stayed at many accommodations for both work and personal trips before, I can say this was one of the most satisfying culinary experiences I've had. My daughter had been looking forward to seeing the sunset—we initially planned to visit a nearby observatory but ended up enjoying a beautiful view just a 3-minute walk from the hotel on a hill instead. It became such a memorable experience for us. Thanks to this wonderful stay, our trip turned out truly fulfilling. Thank you so much!

    The guidance upon arrival was poor. There was no instruction to carry my luggage to the room myself, so I had to go to the room and then return to the lobby to retrieve it, which wasted time. As a result, there was no time to enjoy the Onsen.

    I stayed alone for the first time in September. Since I chose the "Room Assigned on Arrival Plan," I wasn't particular about the room, but on the day of my stay, there was availability, and I was upgraded to a spacious twin room. The guest room was clean and had a stylish atmosphere. The hotel's lobby also used plenty of wood, creating a stylish and natural space. The meals were buffet-style with a wide variety of options including Japanese, Western, Chinese dishes, and desserts—all delicious. Personally, I was looking forward to raclette cheese and was happy to enjoy it. Alcoholic beverages were included in the buffet at no extra charge. The Onsen was clean and very relaxing. The staff's greetings were pleasant as well; it showed that they are well-trained regularly. If you're planning to visit Shiretoko and are unsure about which hotel to choose, I highly recommend KIKI Shiretoko Natural Resort!

    The sunset was beautiful.

    There are 2 Rooms, providing a spacious area to relax. The sunset view from the window was very beautiful. Here are some disappointing points: - Upon entering the Room, there was a noticeable smell of cigarettes (it took until the next night for the air purifier to fully eliminate it). - The futon was already laid out upon arrival (we stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room). - As others have mentioned, there were only 3 washing machines and dryers in the laundry room, which always had long queues. While we managed to do laundry, we had to dry our clothes in the Room as no dryers became available. - At breakfast buffet, all rice cookers were empty and required waiting for refills. The staff members were all kind and helpful; however, there seemed to be moments where they appeared understaffed.

    Comfortable rooms and delicious cuisine

    The renovated interior, including guest rooms, the lobby, the large public bath, and the shop, was all clean and comfortable. The restaurant was spacious with a wide variety of buffet dishes that were delicious and creatively prepared. We stayed for three nights this time, but with a range of daily changing dishes, we never got bored and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were very polite and friendly. The only improvement point would be the laundry facility. Since Shiretoko offers many activities such as trekking and cruises, many guests use the laundry service; however, there were only three washing machines and three dryers available. Especially for dryers that take about 40 minutes to an hour per cycle, there was always a waiting line which was inconvenient. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Shiretoko!

    A Base for Shiretoko Sightseeing

    This was my second stay following a visit in winter. I feel this accommodation offers rooms, meals, and a large public bath that match the price, making it a great base for enjoying Shiretoko. The complimentary soft-serve ice cream voucher for the chocolate specialty shop at the sister hotel "Kitakobushi" was also a delightful bonus! On the first day, I shared the large public bath with school trip students, which caused some chaos, but I understood it couldn't be helped. It's a bit disappointing that the souvenir shop's operating hours are inconsistent. However, they have an excellent selection of items, and I ended up purchasing quite a few!

    The accommodation of...

    The accommodation offers exceptional value for money with an all-inclusive service and a strong focus on hospitality throughout the facility. The room layout is well-designed, providing top-level convenience, while the large public bath is spacious, clean, and features excellent water quality. Meals are served in a buffet style, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of flavors. However, one drawback was the phone guidance system for the main line. It took approximately 10 minutes to reach the direct option for the front desk when requesting shuttle service from the bus terminal. Without this issue, it would have been a perfect 5-star rating.

    The facility is great, but the meals are not.

    Breakfast only, but both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style. I am not a fan of buffets to begin with, and the taste made me dislike them even more. The buffet layout was also quite problematic and inconvenient to use. It would be nice to have about two more sets of face towels in the Room. Although the place is new and has a good vibe, water leaked from the air conditioner in the Room, leaving it soaked (this was fixed immediately, so no issue there). Considering the fairly high price, it would be nice if luggage could be carried to the Room. It's disappointing that such a Facility does not offer natural hot spring water directly sourced from its origin. The staff are hardworking; I acknowledge their efforts.

    Is this okay?

    Considering this price for all-inclusive, it might be acceptable. Being an old building, voices from other Rooms can be heard. It was disappointing as it was the first time at a tourist Hotel where I could still hear voices past 11 PM. Is the opening time of the public bath checked with a code? If distributing an information sheet, why not include that detail there?

    It was a good accommodation.

    The overall satisfaction with the Facility was high. We stayed in the High-Floor Sunset Suite Japanese-Western Room (77,000 yen) as a couple with a toddler. The Room was very spacious, had great views, and was comfortable. Additionally, the children's play area on the first floor was well-equipped and made our child very happy. Personally, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the outdoor bath's nighttime lighting in the large public bath, found the rest chairs comfortable, and appreciated the unique sauna experience. However, there were some drawbacks: despite the high price, futons were not laid out for us in advance; only two sets of towels were provided; and the food wasn't particularly impressive. Next time we might dine outside to save on Room costs. Overall though, it left a good impression as a Hotel.

    A Hotel You'd Want to Stay at Again

    Stayed for one night from June 18th to 19th. The meals and the room were very satisfying. However, there was only one large and one small towel per person for the bath, so once they got wet, I had to dry them before using again. I wanted to take a bath three times, but since the towels were wet and unusable, I ended up bathing twice—once at night and once in the morning. On the way to the accommodation, I was surprised to encounter a baby fox. It made me realize that Shiretoko still has abundant nature left. I'm glad I stayed here at the end of my trip.
