    It became a wonderful memory.

    Thank you for helping with the birthday surprise despite the busy period. The fruit platter was delicious, and I was delighted with the nameplate you prepared. We also requested baby food for our child, and it was very satisfying. Your detailed checks gave us peace of mind when feeding our child. It would have been even better if aprons were available. The bath, sauna, and meals were all excellent—I’d love to stay again! Next time, I’d like to try staying in a room with a garden bath.

    Kifu no Sato

    Everything about this Ryokan was wonderful. The staff were friendly and polite, showing excellent training. We requested quality over quantity for the meals, which turned out to be perfect. The delicious dishes were served in smaller portions with a variety of options, making it ideal for us older guests. The flavors were exceptional. This time, we traveled with our two grandchildren, and the staff who assisted during meals were incredibly kind, allowing our grandchildren to enjoy their dining experience thoroughly. We also enjoyed karaoke after dinner. Additionally, we visited a pottery shop, sushi restaurant, jewelry store, and bakery that were recommended to us. Both the sushi and bread were absolutely delicious! At the jewelry store, our grandchildren created their own pieces of art. Our family had an unforgettable day in Yunogo filled with joy and fun. This was by far the best accommodation experience we've ever had at any hotel or Ryokan we've stayed at before. Next time, we plan to visit with our son and his spouse as well. Thanks to this wonderful stay, everyone returned home feeling happy and refreshed; even now they talk about how great this trip was. Thank you very much!

    An accommodation I want to visit again.

    I have stayed at various Onsen accommodations before, but this was the first time I stayed until the very last moment of check-out. That's how much I was able to relax and enjoy my time here. The staff were all incredibly kind, and it truly felt like the entire accommodation provided heartfelt hospitality. Drinks were complimentary, and even right before check-out, they kindly asked, "Would you like a coffee before heading out?" I enjoyed chatting while sipping on coffee. It’s such a warm and welcoming accommodation. The meals focused on quality over quantity and were absolutely delicious (though there was plenty to eat as well). Both the bath and room were extremely comfortable. I look forward to visiting again when I have another opportunity!

    Disappointing

    The visit was highly anticipated, but the food was disappointing. The broth seemed instant and left an unpleasant aftertaste. The dishes lacked heart and care. It would have been better if more delicious meals were served.

    A Ryokan That Satisfies You

    We stayed at Accommodation Hioogi for a family trip. The serene atmosphere, beautiful fresh flowers, and warmth of the wood were impressive. The meals were carefully prepared with refined flavors and were delicious. Breakfast, however, felt a bit lacking in vibrancy visually. It was the first time we experienced no egg dishes or pickles served. Unfortunately, it rained during our stay, so the open-air bath got slightly wet, which was a bit disappointing. Still, having a room with an open-air bath allowed us to relax comfortably. Thank you for your hospitality!

    I made a Reservation for the "Quality over Quantity" meal.

    I made a reservation for the "Quality over Quantity" meal, but it felt a bit off... No slippers provided in the facility or in the room. The onsen in the room was good, but the other bath was underwhelming. The washing area was also disappointing.

    I was soothed by the flowers in the facility.

    A long-awaited trip with my 96-year-old father and three sisters with their spouses, a total of seven people. Since my father has become weaker, we decided to look for an Onsen close to Kobe and chose this place. We selected the Botan Room as it could accommodate seven people. The Western-style room with beds was spacious, but the futons for five in the Japanese-style room felt a bit cramped. It would have been more comfortable if futons were also laid out in the Western-style room. My father slept on one of the beds, so that worked out well. The Onsen was convenient as we could go empty-handed and it was very relaxing. However, the women's open-air bath lacked a bit of charm. The steam bath was great, though my father couldn't use it. Dinner had just the right amount and delicious dishes that satisfied everyone. My brother-in-law who loves alcohol enjoyed the all-inclusive option, which also made things easier for me as an organizer. At the lounge, we enjoyed coffee and herbal liquor while being greeted by staff with warm smiles—excellent hospitality overall. Breakfast was Japanese-style but lacked options like egg dishes I personally enjoy; otherwise, it felt average in terms of variety. Still, everyone liked their stay here and mentioned wanting to come back again!

    Sure to stay again.

    The room had an Onsen, and we often stay at accommodations around 100,000 yen for two people. This accommodation impressed us with its attention to detail. First, the fresh flowers displayed everywhere were stunning. Also, having an extension cord in the room was a small but thoughtful touch that made us happy—charging devices is one of the first things we do nowadays when entering a room. We booked the Anniversary Plan this time and were surprised by the celebratory cake—a whole cake! It wasn’t made in the hotel kitchen but outsourced from a well-known local bakery, which amazed us even more. Knowing they went out of their way to provide such quality despite likely trying to keep costs down makes us truly grateful. We love staying at various accommodations, but this is one place my spouse and I agreed we would definitely revisit. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely satisfying as well!

    Excellent

    We are a couple who value quality over quantity, and the course offered was just right with excellent service. The Room was modern and very nice.

    Sophisticated

    The café corner was said to be included in the price, so I ordered coffee and ice cream, but was told "only one item." My companion ordered hot tea, which was served in a cup without a handle, making it too hot to hold. When I tried to take the tray back to the Room, I was told to "drink it here." After some hesitation, they said it would be fine if we returned it later. The open-air bath in the Room was too hot; even after lowering the temperature by 3 degrees as requested, it remained uncomfortably hot. It’s disappointing that we had to add cold water ourselves.

    How such high ratings are achieved on IKYU is a mystery. An accommodation worthy of a rating above 4.5 should excel in: 1) Service 2) Onsen 3) Room and 4) Cuisine It was disappointing and fell short of expectations. Please strive to improve further! Seasonal grilled dishes were burnt (photo). Sushi rice was not properly steamed (photo).

    It was a very pleasant Ryokan.

    Located in Yunogo, the accommodation does not offer particularly scenic views, but it provided a very pleasant stay. The facility reflected the care and thoughtfulness of its management through aspects such as meals and services. I appreciated thoughtful touches like the availability of bath towels and face towels in the large public bath, as well as complimentary drinks with almost any meal order—something rarely seen elsewhere these days. The food was delicious, and I would love to visit again during a different season.

    I'm glad I went.

    I used this Ryokan for the first time and it was a great experience. I was looking for a Ryokan with an Onsen in Okayama Prefecture, and chose this Hotel because it had a newly renovated room (Western-style) from last year. The parking lot was spacious, and they helped carry our luggage to the car both upon arrival and departure, providing excellent service. The room was new, clean, functional, and comfortable. The large public bath was spacious, and the open-air bath was nice, but since it is located in the city, there was a fence and no view. Dinner was delicious with grilled crab and stone-grilled steak, but it lacked a bit of impact or intricacy, though overall the quantity and quality were good. I had a Japanese set meal for breakfast, while my wife had a Western meal and said the freshly baked bread was delicious. There is no lounge, but alcohol during dinner was free (including items in the refrigerator), with three types of sake, wine, and shochu available, which was nice. The staff in charge of the meals were from Nepal, and it was impressive to see the couple working hard together. Since it was relatively empty just after the New Year, I had the large public bath to myself, and there was a massage chair, allowing for a very relaxing and leisurely time. If I could make one request, it would be for the bed (which was very comfortable) to be a bit wider. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.

    We stayed with relat...

    We stayed with relatives. Since there were many of us, we stayed at Hiougi, and it was spacious and very comfortable. The meals were served in a private room, and the staff's service was excellent. The bath was also nice, but I think the men's bath had a better atmosphere. Especially the open-air bath for women was not as good in terms of ambiance. That said, everything else was very satisfying. We will definitely use it again.

    First-ever Sea of Clouds & Horseback Riding Experience!

    The reason I decided to visit here was that while searching for an Onsen Stays in Okayama, I came across a Property Plan that included a horseback riding experience. I was very intrigued and made a Reservation without hesitation, and visited for a stay. From the moment of arrival, I was greeted by the smiles of the staff and many beautiful seasonal flowers, which lifted my spirits. The Room was bright and spacious, and the open-air bath in the Room was comfortable and very cozy, allowing me to relax. Dinner was a crab feast, with each dish being of high quality and delicious. Also, since it was all-inclusive, we, who love alcohol, were delighted, especially enjoying the doburoku, and the red and white glass wines paired well with the Japanese cuisine, making both the food and drinks very satisfying! During the meal, drinks could be ordered at our preferred timing using the tablet on the table, allowing us to enjoy various options without hesitation. The next morning, as mentioned during check-in, we went on a sea of clouds viewing tour early in the morning with the Hotel bus. It was my first time seeing a sea of clouds, and the mystical beauty of the sea of clouds spreading under the clear blue sky was breathtaking and very moving! Moreover, the guidance from the staff member driving the bus was excellent, with calm and gentle explanations about the sea of clouds both in the bus and on-site, and their attentiveness to photo-taking made it a memorable moment of a lifetime. After checking out, we went for our first horseback riding experience at the affiliated Happy Horse Farm, about an hour's drive away. Riding a horse along the tranquil country roads for about an hour was a very valuable experience and extremely enjoyable! The kindness of everyone at the farm and their evident care and affection for the horses made me feel warm and happy. During the stay, I was healed both physically and mentally by the Onsen, delicious food, freely enjoyable alcohol, and the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff. Additionally, being able to see the sea of clouds for the first time in my life and experiencing horseback riding at the farm were wonderful experiences that left a lasting impression, for which I am truly grateful. Including the valuable experiences that cannot be had elsewhere, every moment spent here was the best time, healing the heart. Thank you very much for the many happy times!

    All-inclusive?

    Almost perfect and full of satisfaction! I would like to give it 4-5 stars! However, there is one point of dissatisfaction. The all-inclusive system here was limited to drinks (bottled beer, oolong tea, orange juice, etc.) in the Room's refrigerator and unlimited drinks during meal times (dinner). (Used for a 1-night, 2-day stay) If the service content allowed for unlimited drinks, including alcohol, from check-in to check-out, it would have been a 5-star satisfaction in all categories.

    A property where you can experience Japanese tradition.

    The scent of incense filled the air, and the entire property, except for the entrance, was covered with tatami mats, allowing guests to walk barefoot. Ikebana and calligraphy were displayed throughout, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The meals were seasonal (featuring matsutake mushrooms in autumn) with a delicate flavor focused on the broth. The smiles and conversations of the staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable and delicious. The dishes, crafted with local Bizen ware, were a feast for the eyes. It was a tranquil and mature Stays.
