    Relax and enjoy at your own pace

    Whenever I visit Kurashiki, I stay here. The Room is spacious, and I appreciate having a separate shower room. Breakfast is delicious, and the service is excellent. There are many great restaurants nearby (such as Yuunagi), and the location is convenient. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    It was more spacious than I expected.

    We arrived late at night, but the Room was more spacious than expected, which was nice. The shower booth and bathtub were separate, and it was a unique setup to wash in the shower booth before soaking in the tub, but it was a bit difficult because the shower was hard for our first-grade child to reach. When we went downstairs for breakfast around 8:00, it was full; we appreciated that you called our Room when a table became available, but most of the rice and side dishes were nearly empty, which was disappointing. The location is close to the Bikan Historical Quarter, making sightseeing very convenient.

    Stay at a great price.

    Conveniently located near the Bikan Historical Quarter. Since it was a stay without meals, it was also easy to go out for breakfast in the morning. Even though it was during the Obon holiday period, the price was reasonable, and the Room was spacious with a large bed, so I slept very well. If I had to mention drawbacks: there was a bathtub right in front of the sink, with the shower booth and toilet further inside—this layout wasn’t ideal. Also, the shower water pressure was extremely low, making it difficult even to rinse out shampoo. I understand this may be unavoidable on higher floors, but even so, I feel improvements are needed regarding water pressure. One more thing: including the front desk staff, everyone spoke very quietly. Maybe this is due to the size of the Hotel, but I felt they could speak more clearly at a comfortable volume. Even if staff repeat the same explanations every time, guests are hearing them for the first time—so improving voice volume and tone seems necessary to ensure understanding. I also questioned whether they were making eye contact to confirm that guests understood. Since I’m not a repeat guest, I believe first impressions are important.

    Excellent value for money.

    Our family of three stayed in a triple Room. The Room was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom and toilet were in the same space, and it was a bit inconvenient that the lock was positioned high, but everything felt clean, and there were outlets and mirrors throughout, so it was easy to use. We were also able to park right next to the Hotel at just the right time, which was convenient. Breakfast wasn’t extremely lavish, but for this price it was very good. With a convenience store nearby and a great location overall, this Hotel offered outstanding value for money. Thank you.

    Satisfied with the location, spaciousness, and cleanliness.

    I stayed here for the first time in over 10 years. The Facility is a bit old, but it’s conveniently located just a short walk from the Bikan Historical Quarter, with a convenience store nearby. The Room was clean, and I liked that the bathroom was spacious. It was also nice to have a separate shower booth.

    The youngest daughter of a wealthy family

    Although it feels a bit dated, it was very clean, the Room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable enough. With the breakfast-included Plan, I felt it offered excellent value at a very reasonable price. Last month, I also stayed at Aomori Art Hotel, and both had great service, so I am satisfied. I would like to continue using Art Hotel properties in the future.

    Close to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter

    A compact property with well-maintained Facilities in a convenient area for sightseeing and transportation. The Room is spacious and very practical! The bath is large. The toilet is integrated with the bath, so when the bath door is closed during use, others in the Room cannot use the toilet. The open atrium looking down from the 11th (top) floor is a bit scary! But the view from the Room is amazing! Breakfast was just right!

    Consistently high quality at an affordable price

    While the building is older and the design is not particularly modern, it is clean and well maintained, and I was very satisfied with the spacious Room—something you don’t often find in newer, more streamlined Hotels. For this price, the quality is excellent, and with a great location convenient for sightseeing and dining, I think it’s a wonderful Hotel. I would like to stay again.

    This is a Hotel I highly recommend.

    Located just a 1-minute walk from the Bikan Historical Quarter, this Hotel offers great-value stays in luxurious rooms—each of its 71 guest rooms is over 40 m². Rates vary by date, but I’ve never stayed at a Hotel with such excellent value for money. I’m not sure how old the building is, but I loved the classic atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for Accommodation in this area.

    It was a great help.

    I stay here when visiting my family in Okayama. I’m a repeat guest. It’s very convenient because the bathroom has a separate washing area, the breakfast is delicious, and it’s close to the Bikan Historical Quarter.

    I’d like you to make some easy improvements.

    Is this an older Hotel? Even these days, having only one Room key for a triple Room is unusual. It made it very difficult to go out, which was a major drawback. Since this would be an inexpensive improvement, I wonder why it has been left as is. It was also a problem that the bathtub drain stopper did not open and close smoothly. We were given the key to an available Room and allowed to use that bathroom, but after bathing it was inconvenient and unpleasant to get dressed to go out and put on shoes just to move between Rooms. The breakfast area was small, and I felt the food quality was not great. It also seemed unusual for a Hotel of this class nowadays to keep brewed coffee warmed up. The sign there only said “Coffee,” which seemed confusing for foreign guests, causing unnecessary delays and congestion. It would also be better to improve the way strawberries are distributed to each table. Overall, my impression was that this Hotel lacks simple improvements that could easily be made. Come to think of it, I also couldn’t tell what made the “Royal Floor” different at this Hotel. The location isn’t bad, so overall it felt like a wasted opportunity for this Hotel.

    Satisfied with the spacious Room at an affordable price

    As I had stayed here before, even though this was a last-minute stay, I was able to secure a spacious Room at a great price. It’s an excellent Hotel with well-equipped Facilities. If the restaurant inside the Hotel had a slightly more reasonably priced menu, it would be easier to relax there. Also, perhaps because it was Monday, it was closed. However, since it’s close to the Bikan Historical Quarter, you can easily have dinner out as you like, so maybe fewer guests dine in-house. The only disappointment is that parking costs ¥1,500 per night even though it’s on the Hotel premises—I feel that’s expensive. If it were an affiliated parking lot, that might be understandable, but for overnight guests it often seems to be free or around ¥500–1,000.

    Hotel near the Bikan Historical Quarter

    The Room was spacious and comfortable. It is just a short walk from the entrance to the Bikan Historical Quarter. The bathroom was large, and it was convenient that the water stops automatically when it reaches your desired level. Breakfast was also delicious. I felt it offered great value for money.

    A great accommodation.

    Rather than feeling old, the building has a spacious layout and a sense of character. Everything was kept very clean, and the Room amenities were well stocked, making our stay comfortable. We didn’t have dinner this time, but on our next visit we’d definitely like to try dining at Hachiken Kura.

    Everything is amazing.

    From the moment I stepped into the entrance, I was thrilled by the stunning marble and artistic atmosphere. Even before entering my Room, the lobby and elevators felt full of history and were exciting. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and I really enjoyed it. I also appreciated that the bath and toilet were separate. It’s a Hotel I would like to stay at again. At the breakfast buffet, however, the waiter didn’t seem to do anything. Trays and plates were left on tables, so it was difficult to find space for newly picked-up dishes.

    Highly recommended.

    I stayed here for the first time in decades, and I was very satisfied with the same great service and hospitality as before. The Facility is a bit dated, but it was very clean, and it was convenient to be able to pick up amenities freely at the front desk. It’s just a few minutes on foot to the Bikan Historical Quarter, there’s a convenience store nearby, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from Kurashiki Station. The Ohara Museum of Art was under renovation, but I was glad I could still buy museum souvenirs in a small corner shop. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Kurashiki has many Business Hotels, but surprisingly few Hotels where you can truly relax while sightseeing, so I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to unwind at the Hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

    Conveniently located near the Bikan Historical Quarter.

    We stayed as a family of three. It was in a very convenient location, just a short walk to the Bikan Historical Quarter. There are also many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The Room was spacious, very clean, and well maintained. It’s hard to find a triple Room with three beds, so it’s recommended for three adults as well. However, the ceiling lights in the Room were controlled by a single switch and couldn’t be turned on partially, which was inconvenient, so I deducted one point. Breakfast was a standard buffet. We were allowed to use the parking lot until after lunchtime the day after our stay, which was very helpful. Thank you very much.

    Spacious rooms for a stress-free stay

    Spacious guest rooms and bathrooms with separate bathtubs and shower rooms provided a relaxing experience, reminiscent of overseas hotels. The breakfast buffet, including Japanese dishes, was exceptionally delicious. Although it was mentioned as a 10-minute walk from Kurashiki Station, walking slowly with a suitcase took over 15 minutes. Being close to the Bikan Historical Quarter allowed us to visit our desired restaurant for dinner and fully enjoy Kurashiki. I would love to stay at this Hotel again.

    It was comfortable!

    I stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower booth and bathtub were separate, allowing me to relax by stretching my legs in the large bathtub. The transition between the shower booth and bathtub was smooth without any water spilling onto the floor, ensuring comfort. While some parts of the hotel and room showed signs of age, I personally enjoyed the nostalgic atmosphere more than modern renovated rooms often found elsewhere. Both the room and bathroom were impeccably clean, making it feel fresh despite its age. Breakfast didn’t have a wide variety but was very delicious. Since it was right after New Year’s, I appreciated having a special New Year’s menu available. The hotel staff provided attentive and kind service throughout my stay. If I visit Kurashiki again, I would love to stay at this accommodation once more!

    It was excellent!

    I stayed for one night and two days. When I left my luggage in the morning, it was kindly delivered to my room by the time I checked in. Thank you very much. The room was clean, had a great view, and I had a wonderful time. The location is close to the Bikan Historical Quarter, making it very convenient! It’s about a 10-minute walk from Kurashiki Station, but with the shopping street along the way, it was an enjoyable 10-minute walk! For dinner, I dined at Hachiken-gura. Everything was delicious, so I highly recommend trying it if you stay here! The green mousse (perhaps made with Japanese parsley?) was particularly tasty! The front desk staff were also very polite and accommodating, making my stay pleasant. Thank you so much!

    It was clean and tidy.

    This is my first trip to Kurashiki. Conveniently located just a short walk from the Bikan Historical Quarter, perfect for sightseeing. The building itself seems old, but it doesn't bother at all. The Room is spacious, and the bathroom and other Facilities are modern and well-maintained. Everything feels clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well. Very satisfied!

    The spacious Room is a highlight compared to ordinary Hotels. With over 40 square meters, you can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay! The bathroom is also large and comfortable. The staff were very polite and accommodating, making the stay pleasant. ※ Additional recommended Points: - Close to the Bikan Historical Quarter! - Many restaurants nearby, so no worries about meals! - A convenience store is also nearby! - Complimentary water in the refrigerator (a small but delightful touch!) - Breakfast buffet included in the Plan might be a good deal (though adding it for 2,500 yen might feel debatable). ※ Slightly disappointing Points: - Some areas like elevator doors show signs of age (but the Room itself is clean!). - It’s a bit of a walk from the station (walking through shopping streets makes it quick, but taking a taxi might be better on rainy days). - Personally, I prefer separate toilet rooms. Despite these minor drawbacks, this Hotel was wonderful enough to overcome them all!

    Great value for money

    I stayed at the accommodation to visit the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter. It was really close to the area, making it convenient and enjoyable. Considering the accommodation cost, I found both the breakfast buffet and room size satisfactory, and I appreciated the kindness of the staff. However, the layout of the bathroom in my room was very inconvenient. There was no shower curtain for the bathtub; instead, there was a shower booth. But when using it, water would splash through small gaps in its door onto the floor of the adjacent toilet area, leaving it soaked—this was quite stressful. I had to clean up after every shower as wet floors can be slippery and dangerous. If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with easy access to explore Bikan Historical Quarter, I would recommend this accommodation.

    This was such a wonderful hotel that I felt compelled to write a review after a long time. While there are many excellent accommodations, I was deeply impressed by the high level of this hotel, especially their warm and subtle hospitality. Although the facilities are somewhat dated, I am grateful to everyone who assisted us during our stay, particularly the lady who kindly helped us during our early arrival. The hotel's location is close to the Bikan Historical Quarter, the parking lot is easy to use, and the bathroom with an independent shower booth was very comfortable. I will definitely revisit when I come back to Kurashiki. It’s a great hotel that I highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Kurashiki.

    A Hotel that Matches the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter

    We stayed at the accommodation as a couple to visit the Ohara Museum of Art in Kurashiki after decades. Although we arrived early by private car, the female staff at the hotel kindly assisted us, allowing us to park and leave our luggage so we could leisurely explore the museum and surrounding areas. The hotel is old, but the guest room was spacious, and its marble bathroom matched the aesthetic of Kurashiki's historic district, giving it an elegant atmosphere. Breakfast was more carefully prepared compared to buffets at urban hotels. This charming accommodation blends perfectly with the townscape, offering great value for money while preserving Kurashiki's historical essence.
