    A Perfect Family Getaway

    Everything was perfectly set up to our satisfaction. The room was spacious enough for four people and featured a lovely hinoki bath. The bath was excellent, and we enjoyed the five unique open-air baths, each with its own charm. There was also a footbath available. The meals were delicious, and having a dedicated staff member for each table made dining smooth and enjoyable. It was my granddaughter's birthday, and the hostess showed thoughtful hospitality, which made my granddaughter very happy. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating her birthday in such a lovely setting. We will definitely stay here again!

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay. I stayed in a different Room this time, which was a maisonette type that I didn't particularly like (going up to the second floor was inconvenient). The functionality of the Room was decent, but it was disappointing that there wasn't a changing area on the first floor. One of my main purposes for staying here was to enjoy the Onsen, and since I wanted to spend most of my time in the open-air bath attached to the Room, I ended up spending most of my time on the first floor. It would have been better if there had been a larger TV on the first floor. Another purpose of my stay was dining; however, as before, meals were served in a large dining hall without partitions, which made it hard to relax. The dessert at the end took too long to be served—I wanted to return to my Room quickly but felt frustrated by this delay. It would be great if these issues could be improved upon, though I understand it might not be easy. Thank you for your hospitality!

    It was a trip that my family thoroughly enjoyed. The colorful meals made with fresh seasonal ingredients and the attentive care of the staff allowed us to have a comfortable stay without any inconvenience. Thank you for taking such good care of us. The alkaline Onsen is also highly recommended.

    It was wonderful.

    We visited as a gift trip for our parents. From the moment we entered the gate until we left, all the staff were warm and welcoming, making it a wonderful Ryokan. I love nature but dislike insects, and I was thrilled that there were no bugs at all! I truly want to visit again! Choosing Yoshiharu was the best decision. Thank you very much!

    We were guided to the parking lot upon arrival, which was very helpful. The atmosphere from the entrance was lovely. The explanation about the accommodation was thorough and very good. They kindly explained each private onsen, describing what kind of bath it was. Although we were told that we could use the private onsens if no one else was there, we didn’t have to wait at all and enjoyed them fully. The onsen in our room was also delightful and left our skin feeling smooth. The meals were incredibly delicious, with generous portions that left us completely satisfied. Unfortunately, I fell ill during our stay, but everyone showed concern for me, which I deeply appreciated. Next time, I hope to visit again in better health! It truly is a wonderful accommodation—thank you so much!

    The service was excellent.

    The guest room is a maisonette type, spacious and well-equipped, providing a very relaxing stay. The bath facilities were excellent; the large public bath was comfortable, and I enjoyed the private open-air bath in the room multiple times, making time fly by. The meals were deliciously seasoned and enjoyable. Although the attendant was young, their service and attentiveness were exceptional. I would love to visit again soon.

    I had a relaxing and comfortable stay.

    The parking lot and entrance were a bit hard to find upon arrival, but a foreign male staff member kindly assisted us, which was very helpful. Although surrounded by other buildings, the entrance is enveloped in trees, creating a completely different atmosphere once inside. The building is about 70 years old and not new. As mentioned in other reviews, there are many stairs and some distance to the room or bath. However, if walking is not an issue for you, it feels like being away from the outside world—a perfect place for me to forget time and relax. The service provided by the experienced staff was excellent; their timing and explanations were very pleasant. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable! I hope to meet them again. The private onsen baths each had unique features with both Japanese-style and Western-style options that we enjoyed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the hot tub as it was too hot. While we didn’t make it to the large public bath since our room had its own bath, peeking inside revealed how beautiful it was. The water quality suited me well—it left my skin smooth—and one night wasn’t enough! Our room was a maisonette with both Japanese- and Western-style spaces where we could relax comfortably. The six types of Nespresso coffee pods provided were delightful! Having yukata robes as well as bathrobes was also appreciated! While amenities were standard overall, I loved having a ReFa hair dryer available! A body towel would have been nice too—but everything else made up for it. I did wish for better cleaning of the sink area though; some wallpaper was peeling off slightly but otherwise everything else felt perfect! Meals highlighted fresh ingredients—sashimi dishes and hot pots were delicious! Both abalone and meat dishes tasted fresh as well! The presentation of plates added visual enjoyment alongside flavor satisfaction during dinner and breakfast alike. During dinner service when what seemed like a hornet entered causing commotion among guests—the staff handled this situation promptly which even brought camaraderie among diners afterward. Complimentary coffee/tea offerings at lobby post-dinner allowed us further relaxation time. Near large public baths stood massage chairs (5–6 units)—so comfortable they almost lulled me into sleep! This visit marked our wedding anniversary celebration; thoughtful gestures including messages warmed my heart deeply throughout such memorable moments spent here leisurely beyond expectations! I’d love returning someday soon while recommending this accommodation wholeheartedly toward others nearby seeking similar experiences filled w/joyful memories aplenty!!

    It was relaxing.

    I visited after a long time, and just like before, I was able to relax and unwind. The staff maintained a perfect balance of attentiveness, making my stay very comfortable. The meals were served in a semi-Kaiseki style, allowing me to enjoy them at my own pace. As it was our wedding anniversary, I was delighted to receive a heartfelt letter and gift. Thank you so much for the thoughtful gesture. This time we stayed in the maisonette room with two restrooms and washbasins, so next time I’m considering inviting friends along. From the warm welcome to the farewell, your hospitality was impeccable—thank you truly!

    Overall, very satisfied. However, the building feels like a maze with many stairs. There are also outdoor corridors, so moving around on rainy days might be a bit challenging.

    I felt completely relaxed.

    The bath options included a large public bath and several family baths available for free, both accessible at any time. The attendant, an elderly lady, provided warm and attentive service from the initial Facility tour to meal service, making us feel very comfortable. Meals were very reasonable overall and included abalone and wine. While the building seemed historic, the Room was fully renovated and very comfortable. We had a wonderful trip as a couple.     We will definitely visit again!

    On our previous visit, my daughter and I enjoyed the onsen and meals so much that we decided to return for a family trip. Family trips with our busy working adult children are a major event for us, and the theme is to relax and enjoy the onsen and delicious meals at a clean and comfortable accommodation with warm hospitality. This time as well, we thoroughly enjoyed the onsen (including five private onsens available until morning, large public baths, strong massage chairs, etc.). For dinner, we savored an array of delicacies such as grilled abalone, roasted spiny lobster shell-on style, sashimi of spiny lobster, among many others. Since it was during the spring equinox period when we visited this time, I requested a glass for an offering in memory of my late husband. The attendant kindly accommodated this request with great care. It allowed us to reminisce about old memories together with our children after quite some time. Both my daughter and I on our second visit were deeply moved by Yoshiharu's thoughtful hospitality once again—just as much as my sons who visited for the first time were impressed too. Additionally—and personally—I had forgotten something during our stay; however upon its return shipment later-on—the packaging itself reflected meticulous attention-to-detail which left me feeling grateful beyond words. Thank you very much!

    A night with her. A surprise.

    This was my first stay here. When I requested a surprise, they kindly accepted and prepared a cake and gift in the room. The staff member who assisted us was very pleasant and took great care of us from check-in onwards. The meals allowed us to enjoy the freshness and atmosphere unique to the local area. In the room's open-air bath and private open-air bath, we could relax without worrying about others, which helped relieve our fatigue from traveling. The room was a maisonette type with plenty of space to relax. It was clean, had abundant amenities, and even featured a ReFa hairdryer that delighted my partner. If I have another chance to visit Izu, I would like to stay here again. Thank you so much for your hospitality during this stay!

    Despite the high review ratings... disappointing.

    Positive Points - The amenities in the Room (Sumida) were good. (ReFa dryer, Osaji shampoo, etc.) Negative Points - The entire Property was cold. (Especially the corridors, there is no heating. The large public bath was also mysteriously cold with the ventilation fan at MAX.) - The Onsen had a strong chlorine smell. It felt like it was diluted and heated in circulation. The temperature was also lukewarm. - There were no meat dishes at all for meals. Young people might find it unsatisfying. As for breakfast, there were many preserved foods and few side dishes to go with rice. (I wish there were things like tamagoyaki or natto...) For the price, the performance was mediocre. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Very satisfied with the bath and meals.

    There are many baths in the facility, and we enjoyed various open-air baths. There are many private baths, and since they are not completely reservation-based, it was convenient and easy to use. Both dinner and breakfast were just the right amount, and we were able to eat everything deliciously. The delicate seasoning was also a reason why we could enjoy it until the end. The staff's attentiveness was sufficient, and we had a pleasant stay. However, the layout of the facility is a bit complicated, and it seems easy to get lost... There are many stairs and steps, so it might be good to inform them if you have difficulty with mobility and choose a room accordingly.

    I was able to rest well.

    Went on an Onsen trip with my daughter, who is about to complete her first year as a working adult, for the first time in seven years. We chose this place hoping it would help us relieve our daily fatigue. From the moment we entered the Property, the staff warmly greeted us. The Room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hinoki bath in the Room had a wonderful aroma, and we used it multiple times. There were also about five types of open-air baths, and we tried a few of them. The water was soft, leaving our skin smooth. The meals were delightful, with the abalone being especially tender, and both breakfast and dinner were carefully prepared and delicious. With its gentle atmosphere, this Property was perfect for relaxation. Thank you very much.

    This is a Property I would definitely like to visit again!

    This was my first time staying at this Property. Upon arrival, a staff member immediately came to take our luggage and kindly provided a thorough explanation. We chose a maisonette-type Room, and both the Onsen temperature and the Facility inside were excellent. The private bath and the large public bath were clean, hot, and very enjoyable. However, the wind was quite strong, so some areas inside the Property and the baths felt a bit chilly, but this was due to the season and couldn't be helped. The meals were very delicious, and although it cost around 60,000 yen for two people, the experience was worth even more. This is definitely one of the Properties I would love to stay at again.

    The size of the accommodation was surprising, yet it had a calm and elegant atmosphere rather than feeling overly public. We stayed to celebrate a family occasion. We upgraded to a higher-grade room with two floors and an open-air bath, allowing us to relax in the room. The baths were not crowded, which was also great. The foreign staff provided excellent service with smiles, were fluent in Japanese, and felt like an integral part of the accommodation—this was very impressive. The meals were delicious, and we would love to stay again.

    It was my first visit to Yoshiharu, and this time I used the early check-in at 14:30 (normally 15:00) and late check-out at 11:00 (normally 10:00). The five types of open-air baths and the spacious large public bath were clean and maintained at a comfortable temperature, so I used them many times. The dinner, featuring dancing abalone and grilled Ise lobster, as well as Ise lobster sashimi, was delicious, and I appreciated the unobtrusive service during breakfast. However, there was a very disappointing incident that occurred when I was planning to visit again. While relaxing in the room after breakfast, around 10 o'clock, the room key suddenly opened, and a woman entered the room, which surprised me. (Perhaps they mistook it for a 10 o'clock check-out) Both my daughter and I were relaxing in our room wear, so we were very, very surprised. If it hadn't been a woman who entered the room, I would have felt not only surprised but also terrified. I have traveled to various Stays before, but this was my first experience, and I was so surprised that I informed the front desk, but their response of "Please forget about it" only left me with a wry smile. I was impressed with the Onsen and the food, so I sincerely hope that such a mistake will never happen again and that information sharing within the Property will be thoroughly implemented.     Suddenly, I felt like traveling and found a property nearby. I stayed at Tatsuta, which was a maisonette type with an onsen on the first floor and a bed on the second floor. This setup is great for those who want to enjoy the onsen multiple times at night without disturbing others who are sleeping. It had been a while since I experienced dining on the same floor as other guests, but the space was well-secured, so it didn't bother me. The meals were delicious. Since it's nearby, I would like to visit again, feeling like an extension of dining out.

    Private open-air bath is preferred.

    During my second stay, I was looking forward to the private open-air bath and the abalone dinner. I prefer the bath to be warm, so it was just right. Last time I came by car, but this time I took the Odoriko train and thought it would have been nice if there was a shuttle service. It was a bit disappointing that I couldn't get help with my luggage on the stairs in front of the entrance, possibly because of the simultaneous arrivals. Also, having only one room key was quite inconvenient when going to the bath separately. Having two would be helpful. The five private open-air baths allowed for a relaxing time, and both the room and bath were clean and comfortable. The timing of the meals was good, and they were delicious. I thought it would be better if the half bottle of wine included in the plan could be changed to a glass of soft drink, as some people might not be fond of alcohol. Despite some minor points, there was a drink service, and I could enjoy a relaxing bath, making for a pleasant stay. Thank you very much.
