    Excellent.

    We stayed one night in a Room with an open-air bath. The Room was so spacious that one night wasn’t enough to fully enjoy it. We were able to relax and take our time on the terrace and in the open-air bath while looking out over the garden. There were plenty of amenities, and the ReFa hair dryer was excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were just the right amount, and everything was delicious. The attendant who assisted us was very kind and cheerful, and we felt the service was attentive throughout. This Accommodation is so appealing that one night isn’t enough to experience it all. We would definitely like to visit again.

    The Room and the meals were excellent.

    I visited with my 3-year-old daughter. Both the Room size and the open-air bath in the Room were excellent. While the building has a sense of history, Facilities such as the bathroom and plumbing have been renovated, making it a very comfortable space. The dining room for both dinner and breakfast, as well as the meals themselves, were highly rated. My wife also loved it and said she wants to come again!

    The service from the...

    The service from the experienced female staff member in charge of meals was disappointing. She handled the dishes roughly, placing them down with a bang. After putting raw abalone on the grill, she stuck her fingers into the glass and poured oolong tea. It was a complimentary drink as part of the Diamond Member benefit, but I didn’t take a sip. When serving, she kept putting her fingers inside the bowls while carrying them. Unbelievable!! It’s a shame, because the other staff were wonderful, the Onsen water was excellent, and the Facility was spotless.

    I was able to spend a relaxing and elegant time.

    Checked in at 3:00 PM to fully enjoy the Onsen. Right after arriving, we were welcomed with a champagne welcome drink. The private open-air bath “Komorebi-no-Yu” had a wonderful atmosphere with its rock bath and pot bath, and we enjoyed the Onsen many times at night and in the morning, including the open-air bath in our Room. After bathing, it was also relaxing to spend time on the veranda deck chair while listening to cicadas. Mosquito coils were provided as well, but we didn’t get bitten and had no issues. The Room was even more spacious than expected—a luxurious space where we could truly unwind. Each dish was delicious, and we were very satisfied with the meals. The building itself has a deep, maze-like layout, but it was well cleaned throughout and made for a comfortable stay. It was our first time visiting the Nishi-Izu area, but this has become a favorite Accommodation that we’d love to return to.

    I was able to relax and unwind.

    The Facility was spotless throughout, making our stay very comfortable. Each private open-air bath has its own unique atmosphere, and we really enjoyed them. The staff provided heartfelt service, and the food was delicious—we made wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

    A highly rated accommodation conveniently located near Tokyo.

    This was my third stay—an Accommodation I always want to return to. Since it’s at the gateway to Izu, it took just two hours from Tokyo, and with great hot springs and great food, we thoroughly enjoyed our two days. It’s well known as an Accommodation for hot-spring hopping, and this time too I soaked several times in the semi-open-air bath in our Room, enjoying the silky water that feels wonderful on the skin. One of the highlights here is also being able to enjoy grilled abalone and spiny lobster. What I notice every time is how friendly all the staff are, while still being properly professional—I can tell their training is excellent. I’d love to visit again.

    I’m very satisfied.

    The staff’s hospitality was excellent, and the entire Accommodation, including the Room, was kept extremely clean, making this a very satisfying stay. However, there were many stairs inside and it felt like a maze, so I—being directionally challenged—never quite knew where I was until the end. Still, whenever I got lost, a staff member would kindly check in on me and help. It was a bit disappointing that the TV did not support BS channels and that the meals did not include meat, but overall it was an extremely satisfying stay. Thank you very much.

    The service was very...

    The service was very polite and pleasant, but the building felt like it had been expanded over time, which made it confusing and easy to get lost. The meals were delicious. The Room had a large hinoki bath, and the amenities provided were of very good quality. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy a morning bath in the Room. I wish the checkout time had been a little later; 10:00 felt a bit rushed. Thank you for your thoughtful gesture of taking photos for us when we left as well.

    From welcome to fare...

    From welcome to farewell, the hospitality was outstanding. The meals were delicious, and the Room was truly luxurious, just as its name suggests. We tried all of the private open-air baths, and Mokuren was the best! However, I slipped in the open-air bath with a jacuzzi (it was my own carelessness), so it might be worth taking some safety measures. Also, I was thrilled with the OSAJI amenities in the Room! We will be back again soon—thank you very much.

    A favorite Accommodation that never fails to impress, no matter how many times I visit.

    My husband and I have stayed here many times and keep coming back. Each time, we relax in the in-room bath and unwind with the massage chairs in the relaxation room—our favorite little luxury. Above all, both dinner and breakfast are truly delicious, and we’re always completely satisfied. We sometimes stay at other Accommodations, but once you experience Yoshiharu’s comfort and outstanding meals, it reminds us that this is still our top choice. With this level of quality at such a reasonable price, we hope to return with my husband once or twice every year. Thank you as always for a wonderful stay.

    A Hard-Working Accommodation

    Once again, I stayed in the luxury Room. It was spacious and very comfortable. The person I spoke with in the bath—whom I met for the first time—also said it was such a great Accommodation that they would like to come again. The meals were prepared with great care, and I was truly impressed. This is my regular Accommodation, and honestly, it’s so good I almost want to keep it a secret from everyone else.

    It was a Room with a private open-air bath. I liked that there was also a Room on the second floor, that the Room had a ReFa hair dryer, and that bathrobes were provided. Overall, the food tasted a bit too strongly seasoned.

    The Perfect 3-Day, 2-Night Family Trip

    The staff’s hospitality and service were outstanding. We stayed with two children, and they played with them and responded flexibly to each situation, which was a huge help. Our older child talks nonstop, but everyone kindly kept them company. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and both dinner and breakfast menus were changed every time, so we could fully enjoy our meals without getting bored. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to stay at again.

    My Favorite in Izu-Nagaoka

    This was our first stay at Yoshiharu in a year and a half, but they remembered our previous visit so well that we truly felt the warm welcome from all the staff. They prepared our favorite Room for us, and even had a legless chair set out—something we had requested before. The attendant who looked after us was very friendly, and thanks to her we had a wonderful time. The open-air bath in our Room faced a lovely garden and was always at the perfect temperature; the water quality was excellent and the size more than sufficient. Since this is an Accommodation known for its hot-spring hopping, we also used three private open-air baths: Momokuren-no-Yu on the first day, and Sakura-no-Yu and Komorebi-Yu on the second day. Being able to enjoy such spacious baths with just the two of us while looking out over the beautiful garden was truly blissful. Dinner was completely satisfying in both taste and portion size, and choosing a Plan that included beef was definitely the right decision. Breakfast didn’t feature any particularly luxurious ingredients, but it was extremely delicious and left us very satisfied. At Yoshiharu, we felt that everything—from the staff to the Rooms, gardens, baths, and meals—was of an exceptionally high standard. It’s our favorite Accommodation in Izunagaoka—no, in all of Izu—and we look forward to returning again soon.

    An Unbelievable Plan

    [Exclusive Plan] Abalone & Ise Specialties + Free-Flow Drinks: Enjoy a Luxurious Moment with a Premium Japanese Kaiseki Dinner Although I stayed on this Plan, I was told at dinner that they had run out of the white wine listed on the free-flow drink menu and could not serve it. When I asked the server why, they casually said, “It’s not coming in from the liquor store,” without any sign of apology, which shocked me. When I asked why it was still on the menu if it couldn’t be served, they replied, “You’re right—we’ll tell them to remove it.” Since we made our Reservation for this Plan months in advance, if they couldn’t prepare it by that day, shouldn’t they have sourced it elsewhere? Saying they’ll remove it only after a guest points it out is simply unacceptable. What’s more unbelievable is that white wine was served as a welcome drink on the day of our stay, yet at dinner they flatly insisted there was no white wine. Also, shochu was available with options such as on the rocks or with soda and pickled plum listed; when I requested shochu with pickled plum, I was told they had run out of pickled plums as well and could not provide them. I have never experienced a Ryokan listing a Plan on IKYU advertising free-flow drinks while having items on the free-flow menu that are unavailable. At breakfast the next morning, there was what appeared to be their usual drink menu on the table; when I looked inside, five types of white wine were listed. When I asked whether white wine was available after all, staff calmly said that four of the five were unavailable but one type was available. If so, they could at least have offered that as an alternative at dinner the night before. The guest room is nice, but overall this is a disappointing Ryokan.

    The Onsen and meals were satisfying, but the hospitality felt lacking.

    When making an online Reservation, I informed you in advance that this stay was for a special anniversary and that it was my first visit in several years. During the follow-up call to Check Reservation, I did receive congratulatory words; however, they were accompanied by a matter-of-fact note that “requests for arranging a cake or bouquet must be made at least two days in advance.” There were also no particular words to welcome us back after a long time, which honestly left me with a rather impersonal impression. Fortunately, after dinner on the day of our stay, we received a handkerchief as a birthday gift. Still, based on my experiences at other Accommodations, when guests share the occasion in advance it is more common to receive warmer consideration and more flexible suggestions. A style like this—where everything depends strictly on “specific advance requests from the guest”—seems to lack proactive hospitality. While we were satisfied with the Onsen, the meals, and the service on the day itself, I cannot help but feel that the hospitality falls short for an Accommodation chosen for an important anniversary. To be frank, it would be difficult for us to return.

    I was able to remember my father.

    I requested deodorizing of the Room the day before, and I did not notice any cigarette smell at all. Thank you for your thoughtful care. Both the staff on the phone and the experienced attendant who looked after us at the Accommodation were very pleasant. About a week before our stay, while sorting through my parents’ home, I found a matchbook from this Accommodation. By coincidence, it seems my parents had stayed here long ago as well. Visiting while feeling this unexpected connection—choosing the same Accommodation as parent and child—was truly special. At dinner, I enjoyed fresh abalone, which was my father’s favorite, and I felt I understood why my parents chose this place. In the year of my father’s third anniversary since his passing, being able to remember him in this way made for an unforgettable stay. I will visit again.

    It was excellent.

    The Room was spacious and spread over two floors, and the atmospheric rock bath was amazing. The meals were also delicious. The staff provided courteous service. I really loved this Room, and I’m also curious about the other Rooms, so I definitely want to stay again.

    Our second visit as well...

    This was my second stay, and unfortunately it was full of disappointments. The first time was great... The meal differed from the menu (dish list) with no explanation. When I asked if it was different from the menu, I was told that it can be different sometimes... I wanted to be informed from the start. Unacceptable. The Room and Onsen are well designed, but the staff’s service is careless. Perhaps because many of them are older, they spoke too casually and handled things roughly. The foreign staff were far more polite and kind. At night, even though it’s this time of year (late February), there were so many mosquitoes that I couldn’t sleep at all. I killed more than 15 and kept waking up each time, leaving me exhausted. Why did I even come... I explained what happened to a staff member when checking out, but it’s unclear how they will address this going forward. The Facility itself is good. I hope to see improvements in the future.

    A Pleasant Accommodation

    Even on the last day of the holiday period, it was fully booked. It is by no means a new Accommodation, but the garden was beautiful, everything was carefully cleaned, and the renovated Facilities were well maintained and easy to use. Above all, I was truly impressed by how attentive the foreign staff member in charge of our Room was. We were able to spend a quiet and relaxing time. I would definitely like to visit again.     Staying to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday.

    We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday, and we were amazed at how spacious the Room was. The private open-air bath in the Room was also generously sized, so we could really stretch out and relax. From the Room’s terrace and the open-air bath, we could enjoy Kawazu cherry blossoms in full bloom—an incredibly luxurious “hanami” bath experience. The meals were also excellent. The grilled dancing abalone was so lively it almost made us feel sorry for it (lol). The seasoning—salt level and overall balance—was superb, and the varied menu kept things interesting. Even the tableware for each dish was beautifully chosen, which made us happy. They also kindly adjusted my mother’s menu by changing ingredients since she doesn’t do well with meat. We also received a celebratory message from the Accommodation, which delighted my mother. Above all, the female attendant in charge of our Room was truly warm, cheerful, and attentive—we were deeply impressed. We were informed in advance that there are quite a few stairs, so we stayed with that in mind. However, if you choose a Room with an open-air bath, you only need to go out for dinner and breakfast, so it didn’t feel like much of an issue. If you want to fully enjoy bathing around the property—such as the free private baths or the large public bath—older guests may want to take extra care. Everything—the Room, the food, and the thoughtful hospitality from everyone at this Ryokan—was wonderful. Thank you for your warm welcome. Thanks to you, it became an unforgettable 77th birthday celebration. We would love to visit again when we have another chance.

    A Relaxing Accommodation

    The staff’s hospitality was very pleasant, and we were able to spend a comfortable time. I can see why the reviews are so highly rated. After receiving a welcome drink and sweets, we were given a thorough tour of the facilities. The Room was spacious and clean, and we could relax at ease. The meals were just the right amount, the seasoning suited our taste perfectly, and everything was delicious. We also enjoyed soaking in the large public bath and felt truly relaxed. However, there were some steps on the way to the dining area and the public bath, and it was a bit cold inside the elevator, so we thought it might be better to visit during a warmer season next time.

    The bath was amazing. The private open-air bath in the Room, the large public bath, and the reserved open-air bath were all very relaxing.     The hot spring was wonderful.

    Every December, we enjoy an onsen trip as a couple. This accommodation was perfect for relieving the year's fatigue. Although it rained during our stay, we were warmly welcomed at the entrance and guided inside while our luggage was carried to the room. During this time, we were served a welcome drink and a small tea snack. A dedicated staff member accompanied us, showing us around the facility before taking us to our room. The room allowed smoking, but since we had requested deodorization in advance, there was no noticeable smell. It was a corner room with limited views but very spacious in return. Meals were served in the dining area. While there was some confusion about when to start eating after being seated, we assumed they were busy and began eating slowly on our own. The portions were just right and everything tasted delicious. Breakfast also had an excellent portion size and flavor. Although there seemed to be moments of being left unattended again, it didn’t bother us as we came with the intention of relaxing at leisure. The baths included large public baths with alternating schedules that allowed us to enjoy two different experiences. Unfortunately, it rained during this visit; however, if it had been sunny, we could have strolled through their expansive garden. It’s an accommodation I would love to visit again!

    A Perfect Family Getaway

    Everything was perfectly set up to our satisfaction. The room was spacious enough for four people and featured a lovely hinoki bath. The bath was excellent, and we enjoyed the five unique open-air baths, each with its own charm. There was also a footbath available. The meals were delicious, and having a dedicated staff member for each table made dining smooth and enjoyable. It was my granddaughter's birthday, and the hostess showed thoughtful hospitality, which made my granddaughter very happy. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating her birthday in such a lovely setting. We will definitely stay here again!

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay. I stayed in a different Room this time, which was a maisonette type that I didn't particularly like (going up to the second floor was inconvenient). The functionality of the Room was decent, but it was disappointing that there wasn't a changing area on the first floor. One of my main purposes for staying here was to enjoy the Onsen, and since I wanted to spend most of my time in the open-air bath attached to the Room, I ended up spending most of my time on the first floor. It would have been better if there had been a larger TV on the first floor. Another purpose of my stay was dining; however, as before, meals were served in a large dining hall without partitions, which made it hard to relax. The dessert at the end took too long to be served—I wanted to return to my Room quickly but felt frustrated by this delay. It would be great if these issues could be improved upon, though I understand it might not be easy. Thank you for your hospitality!
