    Very good.

    The scenery was beautiful, the meals in the morning and evening were delicious, and I enjoyed a short cocktail at the all-inclusive night bar for the first time in decades. The service was attentive, making it a wonderful stay.

    The best accommodation.

    This was my third visit, and the Room was excellent. The food, Japanese staff, Myanmar staff, and even the quirky bartender provided outstanding service. They kept records of my past preferences, and I was touched when they suggested raw eggs for breakfast without me asking this time. If I had to point out something minor, there wasn’t enough milk in the bathroom for everyone. While I don’t mind skipping that expensive milk, I would have preferred milk over yogurt at breakfast. Personally, mornings are all about milk and tomato juice for me! I’ll definitely come back again!

    Completely satisfied

    I stayed here before and had a great experience, but couldn't take the sightseeing boat due to snow, so this was my second visit. The stone sauna, meals, massage chairs, and the staff were all excellent. This time, I was able to enjoy the sightseeing boat on Lake Akan. This is one of the hotels I definitely want to visit at least once a year.

    Experience a special stay and relaxation

    I booked this accommodation as a birthday gift for my mother. I have always loved the Tsuruga Hotel in Akan and had been wanting to stay at Hina no Za. The interior has a warm wooden ambiance, with an open-air bath in the room, a large public bath, and even a stone sauna. It offers a luxurious and relaxing experience. In addition to welcome sweets and drinks, the lobby features various types of ohagi (Japanese rice cakes), which was delightful (the snacks may vary depending on the day?). The tea snacks provided in the room were also plentiful. Since it is all-inclusive, drinks in the refrigerator as well as some beverages at the bar and during dinner are free of charge. Although neither my mother nor I drink alcohol and couldn’t use the bar, they kindly prepared non-alcoholic options in our refrigerator after we informed them beforehand—thank you for your thoughtfulness. For dinner, we chose a seasonal course with fewer dishes than usual but still found it more than enough to fill us up. Everything was delicious; I especially enjoyed the white miso hot pot with menme fish. The meal offered both mountain delicacies and seafood with predominantly Japanese flavors but also hints of Western tastes. Since it was my mother's birthday, they surprised us with a celebratory dessert plate and even gave her a gift! Their hospitality made us feel so warm—thank you very much. The late-night snack service was another pleasant touch; on our visit day, it featured inari sushi. Breakfast included grilled fish of our choice along with plenty of ikura (salmon roe), which we thoroughly enjoyed. While both public baths are excellent—with great views or amenities like stone saunas or milk available afterward—the open-air bath within our room felt unbeatable for ultimate relaxation without needing to leave your space. From check-in through departure assistance by staff members guiding us around seamlessly alongside friendly greetings exchanged throughout interactions across dining sessions handled attentively too—it left lasting impressions filled w warmth & exceptional care extended genuinely everywhere encountered inside premises alike! We would love returning someday soon again ourselves personally while wholeheartedly recommending such wonderful accommodations unto family/friends alike!

    It was excellent.

    The staff were absolutely wonderful. It was difficult to find suitable accommodation in Eastern Hokkaido, but this place had the perfect number of rooms, was quiet, clean, and offered delicious meals. I was very satisfied and would definitely like to visit again when traveling to Eastern Hokkaido.

    This was my second stay, and I couldn't forget the impression from my previous visit, so I decided to stay again. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I was even more impressed than last time. The meals were particularly outstanding, with each dish made from high-quality ingredients and incredibly delicious. The timing of serving the dishes was perfect, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely meal over about two hours. I was especially moved by the attentiveness of the female staff member in charge of our dining experience. She provided detailed explanations about the dishes and thoughtfully catered to our drink preferences—it was truly wonderful. Although I live in Shizuoka and cannot visit frequently, this is an accommodation I would love to return to if given another opportunity. Thank you so much for providing such a memorable experience!

    The perfect accommodation for a relaxing stay at a Ryokan.

    The room features a fantastic layout where you can enjoy views of Lake Akan from the open-air bath, massage chair, and bedroom bed. All the in-room appliances are high-spec, ensuring a stress-free and comfortable stay. The quality of the Onsen water is excellent, allowing for a relaxing soak. I would love to visit again for another vacation.

    The pricing does not match the services provided.

    Special Room with Open-Air Bath on the Lake Side, Ten-no-Za Suite, a luxurious room over 110 square meters on the lake side. From the large wide windows, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Akan. I visited from afar trusting the above hotel website. Even with a 60-day discount, it was over 123,000 yen for two people. However, the exterior wall of the adjacent hotel was close on the left side outside the window, blocking half of the lake view, resulting in a poor view. The situation should be honestly described. The bedroom had a low bed on a floor with steps, which was dangerous at night, so we ended up having futons laid out in the Japanese-style room, leaving half of the spacious room unused. The indoor open-air bath was wonderful, but adjusting the water temperature was difficult with manual water operation. The sashimi at dinner was fresh, but the rest did not constitute a proper kaiseki meal. The taste and sense were surprising, and it was not worth the price at all. Breakfast was even lower in level than a business hotel buffet. The content was surprising, and we ended up eating less than 20%. I have stayed at hotels in the same price range in various places, but this time it was surprisingly low level. The management needs to seriously consider either adjusting the price to match the service level or raising the service level to match the price. I sincerely hope for measures that can attract repeat customers to make the most of the resources. The staff were sincerely dedicated, which makes it all the more regrettable. The next day, I stayed at a 100,000 yen class inn, and the room with an open-air bath was wonderful, and above all, both dinner and breakfast were excellent, which made the difference astonishing. I usually refrain from commenting, but I wanted to write this because I was very disappointed this time.
