    A Hotel we highly recommend!

    My spouse, our younger daughter, and my 88-year-old mother stayed for one night. The arrival briefing was thorough and easy to understand, and whenever we had questions—at any time or place—we always received accurate and courteous assistance. What made us happiest was celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday at the restaurant. As a complimentary service, they provided sea bream with celebratory red rice and a dish accompanied by sake. They also dressed my husband in a purple outfit and took a commemorative family photo for us. It became a wonderful celebration, and we were deeply moved by the restaurant staff’s thoughtful hospitality. The food was excellent, especially the fresh seafood. The Awa Odori event was also very enjoyable. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel and restaurant, it was an unforgettable trip, and we are truly grateful.

    Charcoal-grilled pork loin

    Dinner was Japanese cuisine, but the charcoal-grilled loin was disappointing. (The other dishes were very delicious.) When I checked the website, it seemed there was also an “Awa beef shabu-shabu” course, but it appears that the course is fixed by Room type, so I couldn’t choose it. As with other Hotels, for me and my family a “loin steak” is usually either tough or tastes only of beef fat—and that was the case here as well. If it were tenderloin, that wouldn’t happen, and even with the same loin cut, I think it would be delicious enough if served as shabu-shabu or sukiyaki. I would like you to reconsider this.

    An Accommodation the Whole Family Can Enjoy—Three Generations Together

    We stayed here as three generations. Our grandchildren are still 3 years old and 18 months old, and we were worried because they move around a lot, but the staff kindly played with them, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. However, the bath was small, which was a bit disappointing—we wish it had been more spacious. It made us very happy to be able to bring our grandchildren this year to this Accommodation where we stayed with our children 20 years ago. We look forward to staying again in the future.

    A Perfectly Satisfying Summer Vacation

    This was my first time staying here. The Hotel’s private beach was right in front of us, so we could start enjoying it from the morning. We stayed for two nights, and since we could make restaurant reservations and choose where to dine, we were able to relax and enjoy our meals. The food was delicious, and our child was very happy as well. The summer festival event was also wonderful. We even got to see the Awa Odori dance, and it made for a fantastic summer vacation. It was very convenient that there were places at the beach to rinse swimsuits and a spin dryer, but I think it would be even better if there were a route to the first-floor bath where you could rinse off sand from the beach or pool and enter directly in swimwear. If the drink selection at the evening family buffet included a few more options such as local sake, adults might be able to enjoy it even more.

    The hospitality and management philosophy were excellent.

    Although it was easy for the place to get dirty with so many children during the summer holidays, everything was handled promptly, which was excellent. All of the foreign staff also seemed to work cheerfully with warm smiles, which left a great impression. You could see the management’s efforts everywhere.

    Perfect for families

    We stayed here during the summer holidays. The pool connects directly to the beach, making it easy to go back and forth. There were also kids’ job-experience activities, and it was great that everything could be done within the Hotel. The baths and dining are in the main tower, so I felt staying there would make getting around easier. Our child was very happy, so we’d love to come again next year!

    A Hotel in an Excellent Location

    We stayed for two nights on a weekday just before the summer holidays, with my high school–aged daughter and her friend (three of us in total), as we were temporarily returning from overseas. The location was excellent, and the view from our Room was wonderful. It was also perfectly situated near the whirlpool cruise boats and the Uzunomichi Walkway. Being able to use the Facility from 12:00 on the check-in day until 15:00 on the check-out day is ideal for a resort-style Hotel. (I hadn’t fully understood this and booked an early highway bus on our check-out day, so we couldn’t stay for lunch, which was a shame.) The meals were delicious. The beach was clean, safe, and had gentle waves—my daughter really enjoyed it. The pool felt more suited to children up to junior high school age. We also enjoyed the Awa Odori performance. We visited during a relatively quiet period, so we were able to enjoy everything to the fullest. Thank you very much.

    Smoking area located right next to the main entrance

    It was the first thing I noticed. It wasn’t even contained in a designated booth, and the smoke smelled bad—I still can’t forget the unpleasant impression before check-in. Nearly 10 people were smoking right next to the entrance, which was tough for us with children. Everything else was good, though.

    Traveling with Friends

    This was my first stay here with a friend, traveling by car. It was just as I had heard from an acquaintance—a great Hotel—and I was very satisfied. Our Room had been upgraded, and it was spacious and clean. The samue loungewear was comfortable, and the in-room facilities were excellent. Since we made our Reservation late, we couldn’t book the buffet and chose the kaiseki course instead, but it was delicious. I also appreciated that the large public bath provided slightly higher washing chairs, which really helped me as I have knee pain. This is a Hotel where you can feel thoughtful touches in many ways.

    Everyone’s service was excellent.

    I developed severe lower back pain before my trip, so I called in advance to ask about transfers from Kotohira and ways to minimize walking. They kindly advised me on everything, including which taxi stand would be best, based on the station’s phone number. They also changed my Room to one in the main building near the elevator, which I truly appreciated. I was very satisfied with all the thoughtful touches—the L’OCCITANE amenities, a magnifying mirror that was especially helpful for aging eyes, a ReFa hair dryer, and comfortable samue loungewear. The French dinner was a perfect portion size and delicious with wine. When I come to Naruto again, I would definitely like to recommend your Hotel to my friends.

    We had a great time as a family.

    As a couple in our 50s, we stayed here to celebrate a milestone trip for our parents, who are turning 80. The Room prepared for us was spacious and comfortable, and from the balcony we enjoyed a calming view of the ocean stretching out right in front of us. The dinner buffet was perfect for us—we could eat as much as we liked at our own pace. Since it was my mother-in-law’s birthday, we requested a cake, and they even gifted us a commemorative photo. She was truly delighted. We also enjoyed watching the Awa Odori dance performance at night; it was a wonderful event that made our stay even more satisfying. Many of the staff were from overseas, but their warm greetings and attentive service made that completely unnoticeable, leaving us with an excellent impression. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again.

    It was a comfortable stay.

    Thank you for upgrading our room. The weather on check-in day was unfortunately poor, but we were able to enjoy the sunrise the next morning and had a very comfortable stay. It was great to step out onto the balcony and feel the sea breeze. The buffet featured many local specialties and was delicious. There was also a tuna carving show, which added a lively atmosphere. I especially loved the sudachi juice. We had an early departure due to our flight schedule, so it really helped that breakfast was available from 6:30 a.m. We’d love to visit again at a more relaxed pace. Thank you very much for everything.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    Since this trip was mainly to visit the Otsuka Museum of Art, I honestly considered the Hotel a secondary priority, but both the meals and hospitality exceeded my expectations. There was also an Awa Odori event at night, and it made me want to visit during the peak season to experience the authentic Awa Odori.

    A Birthday Trip for My 85-Year-Old Mother

    Every year, my wife and I take my mother-in-law on a trip as a birthday gift. She always enjoys it, but this year at the AoAwo Naruto Resort Hotel, she was thrilled with everything: the fluffy bed, the view from the bath, the view from the balcony, the scent of the sea and sound of the waves, the sunrise in the morning—and not only the late-night snack, but also having hot sandwiches and tea on the first floor after breakfast on the second floor (she can’t drink coffee). She kept saying, “The best! The best!” She also repeatedly said how much she enjoyed the Awa Odori dance experience after dinner. My wife and I stay at this Resort Hotel almost every year, and it never disappoints. We truly recommend it. I’m sure we’ll be back again next year.

    It exceeded my expectations.

    Due to the Hotel’s circumstances, our room was changed, but they went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had thought it would be a noisy, family-focused Hotel, but it exceeded my expectations in a good way, and we were able to spend an elegant and very pleasant time there. They employ foreign staff, but they are well trained and I was impressed. The restaurant meals and the large public bath were also great. Thank you for celebrating my birthday. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    This is a Hotel I’d like to visit next time with my grandchildren.

    I booked this Hotel because I wanted to visit the Otsuka Museum of Art. It was my 39th time! Since our wedding anniversary was coming up, I left a note, and they kindly offered a yukata rental (it had been a while since I properly tied an obi, and my husband even complimented me!) as well as a dessert plate service at dinner. Thanks to that, we were able to spend a relaxing and memorable day. The charcoal-grilled dinner featured plenty of local ingredients, and the breakfast had an amazing variety and was delicious. The beach sand is fine and very beautiful. With the pool, festival-style games, and Awa Odori dance performances, it’s a Hotel where families can truly enjoy themselves. We also enjoyed the Onsen—an open-air bath with views—both at night and in the morning. It has a slightly retro feel, but that’s part of its charm. All of the staff were wonderful, and it’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Perfect for families—enjoy both beautiful views and memorable experiences!

    I stayed here with my children seven years ago and had a wonderful experience, so this time I brought my elderly parents. Compared to before, it felt like there were more international staff, but everyone was very courteous and the service was excellent. With a vast ocean and the Onaruto Bridge right in front of you, the location is outstanding. One small disappointment was that the dinner buffet felt lower in quality than it did seven years ago. The seafood such as sashimi was still delicious, but there was no Naruto wakame shabu-shabu. Also, I believe the live kitchen used to grill steak, but there wasn’t any this time, which my young sons found a bit disappointing. The breakfast buffet was carefully prepared, full of vegetables, and very tasty—we were extremely satisfied. Having plenty of towels available in the bath area to use freely is a wonderful service. The open-air bath on the first floor didn’t quite meet expectations; I would be happier if you could see more of the ocean. Overall, I think it’s a very good Hotel. The Room was spacious and clean, and I can recommend it to others. There was an Awa Odori dance experience at night as well, which let us enjoy local culture and made our stay even more exciting. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Your First Trip to Tokushima

    I visited Tokushima for the first time to see the Otsuka Museum of Art, and chose to stay here among several options. It turned out to be a truly wonderful stay. From the front desk onward, every team member showed exceptional hospitality, and I felt comfortable throughout. During my stay, I enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and every meal was delicious and highly satisfying. From the lovely Room prepared for us—the blue sea view and pleasant breeze—to the beautiful scenery from both the panoramic bath and open-air bath, as well as the fun Awa Odori event at night, it all became an unforgettable memory. Although it’s a long trip for us, I would love to return if I have the chance. Congratulations on your 35th anniversary.

    We enjoyed a French course dinner. The food was excellent, and they also helped us celebrate a 77th birthday, which made for a wonderful time. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and we were very happy to enjoy many freshly prepared items—it was extremely satisfying. We would like to stay again.

    It was an excellent Hotel in every way except for the open-air bath.

    The Room was wonderful, with access to the balcony and chairs, and the ocean right in front of us—an amazing location. The L’OCCITANE amenities were also very soothing. For dinner, we had French cuisine, and since we informed them in advance that it was a birthday, they kindly provided complimentary cocktails, a cake, and even a photo service—we are truly grateful. Breakfast had an incredible variety of items, and everything was delicious. We were also happy to enjoy Kintoki soft-serve ice cream in the morning. The only disappointment was the bath facilities. There is an observation bath and an open-air bath; however, when we used the open-air bath area, there was no indoor bath, and the washing area connected directly to the outdoor space. Although there was a roof, there were no walls separating it from outside air temperature, so washing there was extremely cold. The shower also took a long time to get hot and sometimes turned lukewarm midway—very disappointing. It would have been helpful if they had informed us at check-in or provided written guidance about there being no indoor bath and that the washing area faces outdoors. That aside, it was truly a wonderful Hotel.

    Your First Stay at AoAwo

    We arrived more than 30 minutes before check-in time. The Room was already ready, so they kindly let us check in early. Maybe because it was the spring break season, there were lots of events and campaigns, and the front desk staff explained everything very clearly. The Room was also very spacious. Dinner is a buffet with a 90-minute limit. The all-you-can-drink option costs extra and is also limited to 90 minutes. Since you have to go get both food and drinks yourself, time flies and it felt like we didn’t have enough time to eat or drink as much as we wanted. Especially during the first 20 minutes or so, everyone rushes in at once, so you need to factor in waiting in line—and before we knew it, time was up. If I had one small comment: during the tuna carving show, guests clapping made dust from clothing float around, so I think it would be fine without that. The staff’s drumming alone would be exciting enough. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food—everything was delicious. Personally, the sea bream sashimi was outstanding! Also, the imo kenpi sold at the shop was incredibly good. I searched online everywhere but couldn’t find it available for mail order, so I’d like to stay again just to buy more of it.

    Stay in the Japanese Suite (Main Tower) Accommodation

    Pros Check-in and check-out were available on the suites-only floor, so we didn’t have to wait in a long line. Parking was secured. A Japanese female staff member was excellent. Cons The dining area was chaotic. The fish in the fishing pond wouldn’t bite—after two hours, no one around us caught anything either. Staff placement was poor: no one where you need them, and too many where you don’t.

    Sunflower Room

    This was my first trip to Tokushima Prefecture. We toured the Naruto Strait and Awaji Island by rental car, and it was a very convenient location. I had been interested in the Sunflower Room and decided to stay there; the Room had a lovely atmosphere and a great view. It was also nice to be able to use ReFa amenities such as the hair dryer and shower. I could really feel the Hotel’s thoughtful attention to detail. Since we stayed in the Main Tower, it was also great that the open-air bath and restaurant were close by.

    We stayed in the Del...

    We stayed in the Deluxe Twin Premium Type B (Main Tower). The Room was spacious, and the view from the ocean-view balcony was truly spectacular. Sitting on the balcony chair and simply watching the sea made us feel wonderfully pampered. We also woke up early to see the sunrise, and it was beautiful to watch the dim sky gradually brighten. We used the large public bath on the 8th floor with panoramic views; it was spacious, very clean, and relaxing. Dinner was a French course featuring seasonal flavors and local ingredients—everything was delicious, and the service timing was perfect. As we had mentioned that this stay was for our wedding anniversary, they prepared celebratory cocktails and dessert for us, which truly touched us. The breakfast buffet was also highly satisfying. In particular, we loved the freshly made rolled omelet with Naruto wakame seaweed and Handa somen noodles. With stunning scenery, excellent food, and warm hospitality, it was a wonderful stay.

    Japanese Deluxe

    This is a Resort Hotel, and we had a great time. The Room had two separate areas, each with its own TV, which made the kids very happy. Everything was clean. We also appreciated that plenty of water was provided. Making a dinner Reservation was difficult. A few days in advance, we somehow managed to book our preferred option, Sai. The sashimi and other dishes were delicious. In the morning, we went to the special venue for breakfast, but we should have waited and gone to Sai instead—it really felt like a temporary setup, and the difference was noticeable. At check-in, the wait at the front desk was long, so it would be nice to have more seating and something small to drink while waiting. It was a bit disappointing that the Onsen area was small, but overall it was a good Hotel.

    First-class hospitality

    From the moment we left our luggage, a kind young international staff member assisted us warmly, and our stay left a great impression from start to finish. At our request, we were given a Room right in front of the elevator, which was very helpful as my elderly parents didn’t have to walk far. We stayed to celebrate my father’s 88th birthday, and at dinner you treated us with heartfelt hospitality, including taking commemorative photos with him wearing a yellow celebratory vest. It became a truly wonderful memory, and I can’t thank you enough. Perhaps because my father drank more alcohol than usual at dinner, he felt slightly unwell after watching the Awa Odori performance. Even then, you quickly brought a wheelchair, and I believe someone in charge carefully assisted him by checking his blood pressure. Thanks to your help, he recovered by the next day and we were able to enjoy the Otsuka Museum of Art. We apologize for causing concern, and thank you again for your support. The French cuisine was delicious, and the Awa Odori was great fun. You provide first-class hospitality, and I can recommend this Accommodation to anyone.

    This is a recommended Hotel.

    It’s a wonderful Resort Hotel that truly feels like one. The facilities and the Room were very clean, and the service was courteous. Dinner and breakfast used plenty of local ingredients and were very delicious. It’s a Hotel I’d love to stay at again.
