    We had a wonderful stay!!

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The Room was spacious, and we loved the greenery visible from the window. The meals were, as always, reliably delicious, and we were especially touched that you even prepared an anniversary plate for us this time. All of the staff were kind, making our stay very comfortable. With the private bath service included, along with early check-in and late check-out, we fully enjoyed our Diamond member benefits. This is an Accommodation we would definitely love to stay at again.

    It was different from before.

    Compared to my stay two years ago, the breakfast had changed. Drinks were self-service, and the coffee was weak and not very good. I only realized later that butter and other items were placed by the drink station. There was no guidance about it. Two years ago, they brewed coffee properly from freshly ground beans, and it was delicious. Maybe they are short-staffed, but it was disappointing.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. As expected of Ureshino Onsen, the silky-smooth water was wonderfully relaxing. I also enjoyed breakfast at a seat close to the garden, taking my time. Since it was a Western-style meal, it wasn’t overly filling—just the right amount so I could still enjoy a bath afterward. We were informed that the drinks in the in-room refrigerator were complimentary. I especially appreciated that the beer was Yebisu. However, having only one 500 ml bottle of water in the refrigerator felt insufficient, and I ended up going out at night to look for a vending machine. I fully understand that not having vending machines within the Facility may be necessary to preserve the scenery and atmosphere, but it would be even more helpful if guests were informed that there is one about a three-minute walk away. If I had known where it was, I think I could have gone straight there. I understand my check-in was quite late (after 9:00 p.m.), but it was a little disappointing that the fireplace wasn’t lit at night or even at checkout. Firewood has become more expensive these days, but it’s such a lovely touch that elevates the space, so I hope you might consider it. After enjoying both the Onsen and drinks, I spent a comfortable and relaxing evening watching streaming services on the Room TV. I would love to stay again.

    My favorite.

    We stayed again. Once again, we were able to relax and unwind. The meals were delicious, and they accommodated our allergies, which made us feel at ease. The Room was old but carefully cleaned, and we had a comfortable stay. The bath left our skin silky smooth—Ureshino’s hot spring water is wonderful. All the staff were courteous and attentive, and it was a pleasure to interact with them. We look forward to staying again.

    The Hamilton of Your Dreams

    My parents stayed here when I was a child, and I had admired it ever since. Although many years had passed and my expectations were slightly lower for my first stay, I was completely satisfied. The building and garden are beautifully maintained, the service is refined, and it has a special atmosphere like a classic Hotel. The food was excellent—the lobster was perfectly cooked—and the wine was high quality and delicious. What captivated me most was the bookshelf in the lobby. It had a great selection of books—children’s literature and popular titles—that felt approachable and genuinely made me want to read. Some books even had little surprises, and as a book lover I couldn’t resist; I ended up absorbed in reading, setting aside the TV, my phone, and even the Onsen. Because of that I unfortunately didn’t make it to the bar, but the fresh fruit cocktails looked wonderful, so I’d like to visit next time. I’d love to come back to read again—enjoying great food, drinks, and the Onsen in between.

    We were very satisfied.

    This was my first stay in a year. The relaxed atmosphere and the Onsen were excellent—there was a private bath, a rotating open-air bath for men and women, an indoor bath, and a women-only open-air bath, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Last time I ate dinner out, so this time I chose a plan with dinner included. The lightly seared grouper and the lobster were especially delicious. After the meal, I was able to unwind at the bar. It was a very satisfying trip. Thank you very much.

    A charming Hotel

    It was my first stay, and I immediately felt I had come to a great Hotel from the entrance to check-in. Since it was winter, the fireplace in the lobby created a warm atmosphere, and the large vintage-style sofa added excitement. The ambiance of the restaurant at night was also exceptional. The high ceilings and unique lighting offered an experience rarely found elsewhere. Lastly, I was amazed by the hospitality of all staff members—it’s truly top-class among my experiences in recent years. A Hotel with such wonderful people leaves unforgettable memories. Thank you all very much!

    The cuisine...

    The stylish Western-style building was impressive. The staff were elegant and provided courteous service. Thanks to the IKYU Diamond benefits, we enjoyed a private Onsen with free-flowing hot spring water for free. With the benefit of a 2:00 PM check-in and 12:00 PM check-out, we were able to relax at our own pace. Overall, it was nearly perfect. However, the much-anticipated cuisine... It was the least delicious Italian food I’ve ever had. In fact, it’s the first time I’ve found Italian food not tasty at all. It was so disappointing that I searched for the chef's name listed on the menu online—only to find out that this chef had retired years ago! What does this mean??? Who is actually preparing these dishes? As expected, breakfast wasn’t good either; I left several items uneaten. It’s truly disappointing.

    I stayed here during my trip from Fukuoka to Saga. The Western-style building was charming, and the Christmas tree in the lobby added a lovely touch. The non-alcoholic welcome drink was very delicious. I enjoyed using the shampoo bar and was happy to try out a shampoo I had been curious about. It was my first time visiting Ureshino Onsen, and it became a wonderful memory.

    The atmosphere was even better than I expected from the website! However, the view when opening the window was a bit disappointing. The bath and meals were very satisfying, and the service was excellent. I was very pleased overall.

    I have enjoyed staying at this hotel about 10 times, including for lunch, but unfortunately, there were several disappointing aspects during this visit. When I checked in, I noticed a 10-yen coin on the floor. While I am not sure if it was left by the previous guest, is proper cleaning being ensured? The hairdryer in the private bath seemed to be malfunctioning as the warm air was weak and it took a long time to dry my hair. The table during dinner was wobbly due to uneven legs (though it was fixed midway). While aging of facilities is understandable, these issues could have been checked beforehand. Additionally, this time I stayed under PrimeStyle: Room wear options such as yukata and bathrobes → Only yukata provided. Special sweets and Japanese black tea → Same as usual offerings. Italian special course dinner → It was delicious but not significantly different from the regular course menu. The only noticeable benefit of PrimeStyle seemed to be free drinks in the refrigerator. Overall, there were many disappointing points during this stay.

    I chose Hamilton Ureshino, a place I had long admired, for the first day of my Kyushu trip. However, this stay was filled with disappointments beyond imagination, leaving me questioning whether its reputation as a distinguished accommodation has been compromised. First, the front desk service upon arrival was disappointing. The attitude of the young female staff member was noticeably cold, lacking warmth and courtesy. Regarding the IKYU Diamond Member's private Onsen benefit, there was no explanation until I inquired about it myself. Even then, the response was minimal and far from heartfelt hospitality. The dismissive tone of "We'll explain when we hand over the key" lacked pride befitting a Ryokan claiming to be prestigious—it left me more shocked than anything else. What disappointed me most was how the atmosphere within the facility was completely disrupted by group guests. A travel group staying there caused loud noise and commotion that echoed throughout the Ryokan, instantly shattering its image as a serene and high-quality accommodation. Despite having dinner in a separate room, noise from adjacent rooms could be clearly heard, making it impossible to enjoy meals peacefully. The food itself was honestly mediocre and fell far short of expectations. After dinner, loud voices from upstairs dining areas echoed into the lobby; even back in my Room, shouting continued in hallways with no apparent effort by Ryokan staff to ensure other guests' tranquility—a deeply disappointing experience. This stay made me feel strongly that Hamilton Ureshino's former elegance and meticulous management are now things of the past. Having held such high hopes for so long only amplified my disappointment immeasurably. Unfortunately, there is nothing compelling enough for me to consider visiting again.

    This is my third stay at the charming and cozy Hamilton, which I absolutely love. This time, we visited as two women. Being wine enthusiasts, we chose the Wine Pairing Set Plan, and it was a perfect choice. The exquisite Italian cuisine paired with Barolo wine at this price—simply amazing! Breakfast was also fantastic. We had a relaxing stay and will definitely visit again.

    Welcome back!

    I used this accommodation three times while living in Saga Prefecture. The staff's service is excellent, and the room is a spacious, calm antique-style room. The food is also outstanding. I love this accommodation so much that I couldn't forget it, and after moving to the Kanto region, I used it for the fourth time on this occasion. The quality of the onsen water is amazing, leaving my skin smooth. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Relax during the Obon holiday.

    This was my second stay. Amidst many large-scale ryokans, I enjoyed a relaxing time at this charming Western-style hotel with its onsen and delicious meals. The sofa showed some wear from long use, so I thought a cover would be nice, but other than that, I had a wonderful Obon holiday. Coincidentally, it was the day of the local fireworks festival, and being able to watch it unexpectedly from the hotel's front garden added to my satisfaction.

    The staff were very kind. The meals were meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious (thank you so much for accommodating my food preferences). The Onsen, as expected from Ureshino Onsen, left my skin feeling smooth. I often have trouble sleeping while traveling, but I slept very well here—perhaps the pillow suited me perfectly.     Enjoy Ureshino Onsen and Afternoon Tea

    It was my first time visiting Ureshino Onsen, and I found it to be quite quiet on weekdays. The hotel building is well-maintained and in good condition. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable, and I may have had the best sleep I've ever experienced while traveling. However, one downside was the unit bath, which might be due to the hotel's age. I thought it might have been better to remove the bathroom entirely during renovations for rooms of this rank since there is such a wonderful onsen available. On the other hand, I thoroughly enjoyed Ureshino Onsen with private baths as well as public baths and open-air baths that were practically private during my stay. The quality of water in the indoor bath was especially excellent. There were two disappointing points about the room: First, the chair's comfort level was poor, making it unsuitable for relaxing in-room use. Second, I noticed that the welcome sweets were no longer white porcelain cookies as mentioned in other reviews but rather generic cookies instead. I had been looking forward to trying them based on others' blogs and even considered buying them as gifts if they were delicious; however, this change left me disappointed—it could vary depending on room rank though. Additionally, there was a small amount of water left inside the pot in our room which made me wonder if cleaning had been overlooked. As for meals: dinner was average; however, afternoon tea included with our plan exceeded expectations! The restaurant staff who attended us during afternoon tea provided excellent service—ending our stay with such a pleasant experience truly made us grateful!

    It was my first time visiting Ureshino Onsen. Although it rained, the greenery in the garden was beautiful and soothing just to look at. I opted for a meal plan this time, and the breakfast was the most delicious I've ever had. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to enjoy. The Onsen water was excellent; while not very spacious, it provided a comfortable and relaxing experience. The Hotel staff's hospitality was also outstanding. I would love to visit again!

    The bath is excellent.

    We stayed as a group of three. After visiting Ureshino for the first time in years and feeling disheartened by the quietness of the Onsen town, we wondered if the Onsen itself might also be disappointing. However, we were pleasantly surprised by a charming Western-style building with a lovely room. The delicious meals and drinks, along with excellent service, made our stay unforgettable. Above all, the bath was absolutely wonderful. All three of us left completely satisfied.

    I chose this accommodation because I wanted to try their afternoon tea. In addition to the three-tiered tray, a variety of savory items were served one after another! I also enjoyed the local specialties like Saga beef and Ureshino black tea. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful. We were lucky enough to be guided on a firefly-watching tour, which was an amazing experience. Breakfast was elegant and delightful! Be sure to choose a plan that includes breakfast. Thank you for providing so many benefits for IKYU Diamond members—it made my stay even more special!

    Stylish Western-style Hotel

    I visited Ureshino Onsen for the first time. I was unsure which hotel to choose, but I decided on this Western-style hotel instead of a typical onsen accommodation. As mentioned in many reviews, I thoroughly enjoyed the Ureshino Onsen water. The public bath is small but features a unique shampoo bar where you can choose your preferred shampoo. The meals were Western-style Italian cuisine. While onsen accommodations usually serve Japanese food, it was a delightful experience to enjoy Italian dishes made with Kyushu ingredients such as Saga beef and fresh vegetables. The breakfast, especially the strawberry jam, was incredibly delicious. One minor inconvenience was that the open-air bath is located slightly away from the main public bath area; however, I fully enjoyed soaking in the open-air bath surrounded by greenery. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

    Although the building is old, it is well-maintained with spacious rooms. Meals are Italian and satisfying in both quality and quantity. The onsen facility is dated, and the outdoor bath is surrounded by walls, which is a bit disappointing. The water has a smooth texture that leaves your skin silky and your hair soft. It’s an excellent onsen that provides a pleasant experience. The aroma massage at this hotel's spa is exceptional, and I make a reservation every time I stay here. This hotel makes you want to visit again.
