    We stayed during the...

    We stayed during the Obon holiday period. We arrived around 2:00 PM before check-in, and they kindly allowed us to check in early while we enjoyed a welcome drink. We left our luggage and went sightseeing. They also provided guidance on Miyajima and were very attentive. Our Room was located in front of the elevator. Although you could sense some renovation work, it was clean, modern in design, and very beautiful. The public bath was also spacious, and we enjoyed it with our child both morning and night. My husband is a foreign national with multiple allergies, so we consulted them by email in advance. They were flexible—suggesting alternatives ahead of time when menu changes or certain accommodations were difficult—and we truly appreciated it. Thanks to that, we could relax without worrying about meals. On the other hand, while they prepared a children’s dinner menu for our 5-year-old, breakfast was exactly the same as the adults’ meal with almost nothing he could eat. We couldn’t finish it either, so it ended up being thrown away, which was very disappointing. It may be better to confirm portions and contents in advance based on each child’s age. Even though it was a busy Obon season, it wasn’t overly crowded at all, and we were able to spend a relaxing time without any stress. Next time we visit Hiroshima, I’d like to stay in a different Room. Overall, we were very satisfied.

    Just steps from Itsukushima Shrine

    We stayed here on a summer trip. Itsukushima Shrine was very close, and we were able to visit during low tide the morning after our stay. It was disappointing that the Room cleaning didn’t seem completely thorough, as what appeared to be trash from a previous guest was left behind. Since it was a Japanese-Western style Room, it was convenient for our family with four children.

    Warm and thoughtful hospitality

    All the staff provided wonderful, attentive service! Even in the intense midsummer heat on Miyajima, we had a truly enjoyable trip. The night tour after dinner was very informative, and the local guide’s storytelling really made us feel like we were traveling—she was fantastic. Because of time constraints and the heat, we couldn’t make it to the summit of Mt. Misen, so next time we’ll visit in autumn and would love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    A Welcoming Accommodation

    All of the staff were extremely kind and made our stay very comfortable. Every dish was delicious, with just the right portions, and the timing of each course was perfect—we were very satisfied. The open-air bath was especially relaxing. This is a Ryokan we would love to stay at again when we visit Miyajima.

    We thoroughly enjoyed Miyajima.

    Thanks to the staff’s kind hospitality, we were able to fully enjoy Miyajima. This was our first time staying on the island, and your helpful advice made it a wonderful experience. The evening and morning walking tours were both fun and informative—we had a great time. My wife was very satisfied as well, and said she’d love to relax here on the island at Arimoto from now on. Thank you! We’ll be back again.

    Luggage is

    The Room was spacious, and the meals were very delicious, so we were satisfied. We had in-room dining, but there was no fork for the dessert at dinner. Also, the chopsticks for breakfast were forgotten. They brought them right away, but since the food was so good, it left us with a disappointing impression. Also, you picked up our luggage from the ferry terminal, which allowed us to sightsee hands-free and was a great help. My companion’s luggage consisted of two pieces connected together (fastened with hooks), and you kept them as three pieces including mine. After checking in and going to our Room, our luggage had already been delivered. However, the hooked pieces had been detached and separated, and for a moment we weren’t sure if it was ours. It felt very strange that the condition differed between when we left it and when we received it. We hope you will consider this in the future.

    The location was excellent for visiting Itsukushima Shrine. As you recommended, an early-morning visit is truly a privilege for those staying on the island. Thank you very much. The meals were delicious, and I enjoyed chatting with the staff member in charge. However, there were many international guests, and some did not know how to use the large public bath properly. It might be helpful to explain this at check-in (one guest even tried to enter wearing a yukata).

    Just steps from the shrine, we were very satisfied with this beautiful long-established inn.

    The location, the cleanliness of the Room, and the warm hospitality of all the staff made for a truly comfortable and wonderful trip. We were able to make good use of our time to fully enjoy the charming townscape and Itsukushima. In particular, the local guide’s illuminated night tour left a lasting impression on us.

    It was excellent again this time.

    This was my third stay, and each time both the staff service and the Hotel have been outstanding. I especially love the lounge. With so many different Room types available, it’s always worth coming back. This time I stayed in a sea-side Japanese-style Room, and it was wonderful to enjoy the Onsen while catching a glimpse of the Itsukushima Shrine torii gate. The Shuttle Service from the ferry terminal was also kindly arranged, which was very helpful. I’d love to visit again!

    A Wonderful Stay

    All the staff were exceptionally polite and warm—on the phone, during our stay, and even during the Shuttle Service. Breakfast and dinner were brought at just the right times, and everything was delicious. They even made rice balls for a late-night snack when we couldn’t finish our meal. We joined both the Hotel-hosted morning and evening walks, and they were wonderful experiences you can only have by staying here. The Onsen was very relaxing, but the sliding door from the changing room needs to be closed by guests, and several people left it open without noticing, which concerned me (I went to close it). Also, the door to the open-air bath was quite stiff, and some elderly guests seemed to struggle with it. Overall, thank you very much for a truly enjoyable stay.

    The Hotel staff were very kind and helpful.

    When we visit Miyajima again, we would love to stay here. Since we were sightseeing from far away, we didn’t have much time to spend at the Hotel, but the staff who assisted us during our meals and when showing us to our Room were very pleasant. My family also said, “The Hotel was great—we had a wonderful time.” We were completely satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    I was pleasantly surprised to find guided night walks and morning stroll tours available, and I participated in both. The duration, timing, content shared by the guide, and the guide's personality were all excellent, making this trip to Miyajima many times more enjoyable. Thank you very much. The accommodation was clean and satisfying in terms of service and facilities. Its location near Itsukushima Shrine and close to the ropeway station made it an ideal spot for sightseeing and strolling. However, I would have appreciated a plan with breakfast included but no dinner option if possible. Also, the faucet in the room's washbasin was old and came loose easily. These are minor points that reduced my rating slightly, but I'm sure the faucet will be repaired soon. If I have another chance to visit again, I would love to stay here once more. Thank you for your hospitality!

    I joined a night tour around Itsukushima Shrine. Listening to the guide's storytelling while admiring the enchanting view of the shrine made for a truly wonderful experience.

    A place you'd want to stay again.

    I chose this Ryokan for its excellent location, just a 3-minute walk to the Torii Gate of Itsukushima Shrine. The convenience of the location was outstanding, but what impressed me even more was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Although my stay was short, only one night, I truly enjoyed their warm conversations and thoughtful gestures that made me feel welcome. The interactions were relaxed yet elegant and calm, reminiscent of the serene climate of the Seto Inland Sea. The meals were delicious as well, and I would love to stay here again in the future.

    Stay in Miyajima

    At the time of booking, I knew dinner would be an eel bento box, but it turned out to be an eel bento with soup in a pot. Breakfast was also delivered to the room and consisted of rice, miso soup in a pot, individual servings of rice in simple containers, and several types of side dishes (which felt like store-bought items). Considering the high accommodation cost, the meals were truly disappointing. The young staff were pleasant, but I might consider staying at a hotel in Hiroshima next time.

    A cozy Hotel.

    It was my first time visiting Miyajima. When I called in advance to discuss the tide schedule for the Great Torii, Mt. Misen hiking, night sightseeing boat tours, and night tours, a male staff member kindly provided detailed advice on tide times and ropeway schedules, allowing me to create a perfect plan. The shuttle service to the accommodation and arrangements for the sightseeing boat were handled with great care. As someone who doesn't like oysters, I appreciated that they adjusted the meal for me—it was very helpful. The young female staff member who assisted during meals was attentive throughout, making it an enjoyable experience. Access to Itsukushima Shrine was also convenient. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the stories of the elderly guide during the night tour and wished I could have spent more time with her. While it would be helpful if reservations for Itsukushima Shrine could be made in advance, I understand this might be a luxurious request. I hope to visit again when I return to Miyajima!

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

    We appreciate the kind and attentive service. The bath was excellent. It was convenient to have souvenirs delivered by courier. The meal served in the Room was delicious and satisfying for a tired body, but it would be even better if warm tea were included.

    Very satisfied!

    The front desk staff, dining staff, shuttle service team, and all other staff provided excellent and pleasant service. The meals were delicious and very satisfying. The location is very close to Itsukushima Shrine, allowing us to fulfill our wish for an early morning visit. We greatly appreciated the luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, as well as the shuttle service to the pier. We enjoyed a wonderful time in Miyajima in a lovely room.     Experience the charm of Japanese accommodation.

    It was a very comfortable accommodation. The room was stylish, well-maintained, and very practical. The thoughtfully prepared meals for breakfast and dinner were luxurious and more than enough for one person like me. Above all, the warm hospitality of the staff could be felt everywhere, which made my stay truly relaxing. It was a wonderful experience to fully enjoy the charm of Japanese accommodations after a long time. I'm glad I chose this accommodation.

    Satisfied.

    We stayed here for a trip with three friends from high school. The room was spacious and comfortable, allowing us to enjoy lively conversations with each other. We also joined the night tour to Itsukushima Shrine and an early morning walk, both of which were very enjoyable thanks to the clear explanations provided by the guide. Thank you so much! Thanks to this experience, we were able to see various aspects of Itsukushima Shrine during high tide, low tide, and the transition between them. This is something you can only experience by staying overnight. My friends were delighted as well, and I’m glad I chose this accommodation!

    Free guided tours are highly recommended.

    The bed was very comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep. The free nighttime guided tour of Itsukushima Shrine was fascinating. The meals were decent, but the freshness of the sashimi was slightly disappointing.

    Thoughtful Staff

    First Visit to Aki no Miyajima It was a hot day for sightseeing, but after dinner, we were invited to join a night tour for accommodation guests. We enjoyed completely different scenery from the daytime. The thoughtful care of the accommodation staff made us truly happy, resulting in a wonderful stay. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for the warm hospitality.

    The facility, being a traditional Ryokan, had a charming atmosphere. The warm greetings and excellent service from the staff were outstanding. The Kaiseki cuisine was incredibly delicious, making me want to stay again. I also enjoyed participating in the evening stroll, which was delightful.

    The bento meals for dinner and breakfast were disappointing.

    Thank you for your stay. To be honest, the dinner and breakfast bento boxes were disappointing. When we heard "meals in the room," we imagined a typical room service experience, but instead, bento boxes were simply delivered and left behind. The bentos themselves were not very tasty either. There was no tea service provided, and to top it off, we were told to purchase beer ourselves from a vending machine on the first floor, which was quite disappointing. Cleanup was not done unless requested and wasn’t completed until the next morning; even wiping down the table was neglected. Considering that we paid nearly 40,000 yen per person per night, this meal felt inadequate. If I had known this would be the case with the bentos, I would have chosen a different course or another accommodation altogether. My wife and I look forward to our trips three times a year, so it was unfortunate that our meals did not meet expectations on this occasion.

    Enjoy Miyajima

    Family stay with an elementary school child. Utilized the shuttle service to the ferry terminal. Located very close to Itsukushima Shrine, allowing us to enjoy different views of the tides in the evening and morning. Guided tours were also organized during these times, offering a deeper appreciation of Miyajima's charm. Meals featured seasonal ingredients and menus that highlighted Hiroshima's flavors. The dishes were delicate and exceptionally delicious. Our child (4th grade) was delighted with their first experience of an adult course menu instead of a children's menu. Special care was taken with seasoning, such as avoiding yuzu pepper for children. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing space after exploring Hiroshima and Miyajima, including a refreshing bath to relieve fatigue fully. The hospitality was courteous and attentive, leaving us feeling humbled by the excellent service provided. A wonderful accommodation we would love to visit again!

    The only meal option available was a bento box, which seemed to have been prepared the day before. It was cold, and I left more than half of it uneaten. The impression of an accommodation can be negatively affected if any aspect—facilities, customer service, or meals—is lacking.

    I had a very pleasant stay. The meals were delicious, and the bath was very relaxing. Joining the illuminated Itsukushima Shrine walking tour was a wonderful experience.     The service was excellent, but the dinner and breakfast "Room Meal" were just bento boxes. I was happy to reserve a reasonably priced room, and while the taste of the meals was good, I was surprised as it was my first time having both dinner and breakfast as bento boxes. If it had been clearly stated under meals as "Bento Only" instead of "Room Meal," I would not have chosen this option. I hope for clearer descriptions in the future.

    Guided Tour and Meals

    The Room and bath were very clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were extremely delicious with satisfying portions.
