    Thank you very much!

    Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. Because the Hotel is built on a hill, the night view of Atami was spectacular. The bath is a little small, but the Onsen was relaxing and we were able to unwind. It was also great that we could reserve it for private use late at night. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed all the thoughtful performances and touches. We were surprised to find our names embroidered on the napkins. We were allowed to take them home. The goats and ducks were also very soothing. We stayed to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it was a one-night stay that left both of us completely satisfied. If we have the chance to visit again, we look forward to seeing what kind of services await us next time. Thank you very much.

    The shared bath was disappointing.

    This was my first time staying here. The Room view, size, amenities, and other in-room services were excellent, and I had a very comfortable stay. I was also surprised—in a good way—that staff escorted me to my Room upon arrival and provided detailed explanations, which is rare these days. The amenities and complimentary drinks were well stocked and appreciated. On the other hand, the shared bath is small and doesn’t feel like a large public bath, so if you go expecting that, it may not match your image. I used it around 9:00 PM on a weekday, but there was debris and dead insects floating in the tub water. It made me wonder whether the water was being circulated properly, and I felt uneasy about hygiene—this was the most disappointing part. As for access to the Hotel, you have to climb a very steep slope, so I strongly recommend driving there as instructed by the Hotel staff. Overall, it wasn’t bad.

    As its name suggests, it was a wonderful Hotel where we could truly relax. In particular, the staff’s warm and hospitable service was excellent. We would like to stay again.

    It was very good!!

    The night view was beautiful, and we could see Atami Castle illuminated from our Room! The bath in the Room was also great, and breakfast was delicious! At first, we missed the road leading into the Ryokan and drove past it. Going back and taking the uphill road from the main street was a bit nerve-racking! The service was excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay!

    You can relax and unwind.

    If your goal is to relax with someone special without leaving the Hotel, I highly recommend it. If you stay in a detached Room, you’ll have an open-air Onsen bath in the Room and can also have breakfast served there, so you can truly stay in until the 12:00 checkout. As other Reviews say, the service was excellent; I asked to bring my own wine, and their response beforehand was quick and courteous. The duck’s name being so deadpan is also pretty funny. The dinner bread and homemade butter were delicious—I even had seconds. The only disappointment was that the spa was closed. I didn’t use the main building at all except for the restaurant, so I can’t comment on it, but compared with going to a half-baked luxury Ryokan, this offers great value for money. Next time, I’d like to come to see the fireworks as well.

    The meals were excellent, and the staff were wonderfully kind and welcoming!

    We stayed here to celebrate my daughter’s upcoming high school entrance. Because I mentioned this at the time of our Reservation, you kindly asked in advance about any food preferences, prepared towel art in our Room on the day, and added a message to the dessert plate. Your warm hospitality meant so much to us—thank you very much. The Room was clean and the view was wonderful. I imagine the fireworks must look beautiful from here as well, and I hope we can visit again during that season. The food was truly delicious. Someday, when my daughter is old enough to drink, we would love to return and enjoy great wine and your cuisine again. Everyone on staff had such lovely smiles and provided excellent service!

    The staff were wonderful!

    We stayed for two nights with breakfast and dinner included. Above all, the staff were outstanding. Watching the “Izayoi Moon” from our corner Room was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, and the Room was spotless—perfect in every way. The meals were even more exceptional, and we were genuinely impressed by how attentive the dining staff were throughout. It was a truly relaxing three days. We’ll be back again next month!

    This is a Hotel I ha...

    This is a Hotel I had been curious about for a long time. I’m not good with insects, but I really appreciated that you accommodated my requests. The meals were delicious, and I finished everything. All the staff were very pleasant, and I had a comfortable stay. I stayed in a detached first-floor Room with an open-air bath, but it was a little disappointing that noise from the second floor was noticeable. I’d like to visit again if I have the chance.

    More than worth the price!

    The location, staff hospitality, room atmosphere and cleanliness, and meals were all absolutely satisfying! The staff were friendly yet professional, providing a level of service during dinner and breakfast that felt like dining in a high-end restaurant. I was especially touched by the personalized napkins and dessert plates. Their assistance with sightseeing recommendations was perfect, allowing us to enjoy the early-blooming Atami cherry blossoms. The Italian dinner was not only delicious but also included delightful presentations. For breakfast, we could choose from three options—my companion had Japanese cuisine while I enjoyed French toast; both were incredibly tasty. Although the bath was small, thanks to having a room with an open-air bath, we could relax without encountering other guests. Overall, everything exceeded expectations! I now understand why there are so many repeat visitors. I will definitely return again! Thank you for such a wonderful time!!

    Excellent

    The personalized embroidery on the dinner napkins was impressive. The dishes, including golden eye snapper, sea urchin pasta, Sakura chicken, and the optional Iberico ham, were all delicious. The egg dish at breakfast was also delightful. The staff were versatile all-rounders who handled everything from reception to dinner and breakfast service. The Onsen in the room was so relaxing that I could stay in it for hours. Even the goat at the entrance seemed relaxed and calm. Since there is a steep one-way slope from Atami Station, walking would have been tough; taking a taxi was a great choice.

    Thank you very much.

    We used the day-use service to celebrate my companion's birthday. The room and the Onsen bath were excellent, but this Hotel truly stands out for its amazing food. Everything was absolutely delicious. I also heard that they keep customer data to ensure they don't serve the same menu next time, which made me genuinely want to come back again. The staff members were all wonderful, making our time there incredibly pleasant and special. Thank you so much for helping with various consultations as I wanted to plan a surprise! I definitely want to visit again!

    During breakfast...

    We stayed in the best room at this accommodation. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service, room, onsen, and food. However, during breakfast when we ordered a Japanese meal and were told "rice and miso soup are free to refill," I tried to ask for more rice but couldn't find any staff around. I ended up searching for staff during my meal for about 5 minutes and had to call out loudly in the kitchen area before someone noticed me. While it was difficult even to request water in that situation, I believe this is an area that could be improved in the future. Other than that, everything was excellent. I would love to stay here again!

    We enjoyed a relaxing and leisurely time.

    This was my second visit. The hotel is located on a high hill in Atami, and the access roads are quite narrow, making it challenging to reach by regular private car. Taking a taxi from the station is recommended. Thank you for the attentive service from arrival to departure. Both the interior of the hotel and the room are thoughtfully designed with intricate details. I stayed in a room on the third floor with an ocean view, offering an incredible panorama from its elevated location. Dinner was truly impressive in many ways. Without giving too much away, you can see the chef's dedication in every dish, and everything was absolutely delicious. The wine list also reflected meticulous attention to detail. Breakfast was simpler but equally delightful; I especially enjoyed the French toast I selected. If there’s one minor drawback, it would be the shared bath facilities. Given the size of this hotel, it's understandable that they are somewhat small without an open-air bath or notable views (though I did spot some rubber ducks). While private use is available at night, it still felt slightly underwhelming even then due to these limitations. However, with perfectly warm water and minimal encounters with other guests during my soak, I ultimately found it relaxing and satisfying overall. The clawfoot bathtub in my room added a luxurious touch to my stay as well as L'Occitane amenities. I also appreciate your thoughtful considerations during Check Reservation—thank you for your attention to detail! I hope to visit again if given another opportunity!

    Enjoy Fireworks and Savor Italian Cuisine

    Walking through steep slopes and curved tunnels felt almost like hiking, but with a backpack, it was an enjoyable adventure, as if heading to a secret world. This trip was a preliminary visit for bringing my aunt by private car, but considering the narrow roads and oncoming traffic, taking a taxi seems like the better option. Hats off to Atami's taxi drivers! When we arrived just before 15:00, I noticed staff smoking along the way. The female staff from Nepal and Sri Lanka were polite and provided excellent service in both Japanese and manners; however, it might be better for breaks to be taken out of sight of guests. The basement bath has an older feel but offers exceptional hot spring quality—truly impressive as expected from Atami. You can access it directly from your Room in a bathrobe and slippers; I ended up soaking four times! The sauna was also private during my visit—a perfect relaxation experience. At 20:20, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the Atami fireworks right from our Room balcony. Dinner at 21:00 featured exquisite Italian cuisine at the restaurant. For an additional ¥4,500, we indulged in sparkling wine as well as white and red wines—all high-quality selections with Barolo being particularly outstanding. From our balcony, we caught a glimpse of the hotel's goats strolling through the garden—a peaceful touch that added charm to our stay. As someone who frequently stays at small luxury hotels worldwide, I found the bed comfort slightly lacking; upgrading mattresses would enhance guest satisfaction further. Breakfast was traditional Japanese cuisine served leisurely in-room—deliciously prepared for a relaxing start to the day. I look forward to visiting again!

    Outstanding Italian cuisine at its finest

    What greatly enhanced our satisfaction with the stay was the food—especially the authentic Italian dinner. Every course, from appetizers to dessert, was exceptionally well executed, and the dishes made full use of the ingredients’ natural flavors. The presentation was beautiful as well, and we were truly impressed. We never expected to enjoy Italian cuisine of this caliber in an Onsen area at this price point, and it is the biggest highlight. It’s worth returning just for this. The Resort Double Room felt fresh and upscale, and it was clean and comfortable. Since it is a no-bath type, the toilet and sink area were a bit small and somewhat inconvenient to use. Parts of the building are older than expected, but considering the price, it was more than sufficient. Unfortunately it rained that day, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the terrace or views, which was disappointing—but with good weather you can likely enjoy an even stronger resort atmosphere. Overall, this is a Hotel we especially recommend for guests who prioritize great dining.

    Quality Upgrade

    After 6 and a half years, I visited Atami again and chose the same Hotel. The food quality had improved, and the thoughtful idea of embroidered napkins with names that guests can take home was delightful. I would love to stay here again when I visit Atami next time.

    A highly-rated extraordinary Hotel, perfect for treating yourself.

    This Hotel fulfilled all my wishes, including being within an hour from central Tokyo, having a private bath in the room, and offering a stunning night view. The staff's hospitality was excellent. The in-room amenities were well-equipped, leaving no room for dissatisfaction. I was able to escape the stress of work and enjoy a wonderful time. I will definitely return. I soaked in the Onsen multiple times, and my skin felt so smooth—Atami's Onsen is truly the best!

    Second stay

    It was a trip with former colleagues. The bath and bed in the annex were exceptional. Above all, the meals were outstanding. The quality and quantity at this price are truly impressive. The service was also excellent. Perhaps because the main building is older, the bath there was a bit underwhelming—just slightly disappointing. I would love to visit again, focusing on staying in the annex.

    Hotel with Beautiful Night Views from the Hilltop

    We stayed with a friend under a plan that included breakfast and dinner. It was raining upon arrival, but the staff kindly came to our car with an umbrella and helped carry our luggage. At dinner, we were surprised to see our names embroidered on the napkins. The fish and meat dishes were presented with live performances right in front of us, which was very satisfying. The room had pink wallpaper that left an impression, and although the flooring felt slightly dated, it was overall clean and pleasant. The night view from the balcony was also beautiful. The bath area was small but not crowded, allowing us to use it privately. After 24:00, there were no gender restrictions; by flipping a sign to indicate "in use," couples or families could enjoy private usage as well. For breakfast, we could choose from French toast or three types of Japanese/Western meals; we opted for French toast and Japanese cuisine. Overall, it was a satisfying Hotel experience, and I would love to stay again if given the chance!

    It was a wonderful Hotel!

    I found this Hotel on IKYU's recommendations while searching for a place where I could meet my daughter, coming from Tokyo, and myself, coming from Osaka. The staff were polite, kind, and gave off a warm feeling. Everyone was wonderful. There were ducks raised from chicks. Unfortunately, I missed seeing the goats. The Italian dinner was surprising! Fun! Delicious! It was an amazing experience throughout. Breakfast was served in the Room. The Onsen was small with no outdoor bath but still very relaxing. The shampoo and conditioner had an incredibly nice fragrance, leaving my skin smooth and rejuvenated. In the morning, we walked to Kinomiya Shrine, the beach, and saw the Golden Yasha statue before returning to have breakfast in our Room. The path to the Hotel truly felt like something out of a Ghibli movie as mentioned in someone’s Review. The interior of the Hotel had touches of Showa-era nostalgia mixed with Bali Island vibes—everything was enjoyable! From our view, we could see Atami Castle lit up at night and steam rising from chimneys—it was beautiful. Although it cost more than expected during Obon (around 60,000 yen for two people), it was a highly satisfying stay at this Hotel.

    Relax in style.

    The room features a comfortable sofa for relaxation, a dining table for meals, and twin beds with ample space. The Onsen is available for private use from midnight to 6 AM, while during other hours it is separated by gender. There is also a sauna and a cold bath. Chilled bottled water provided after bathing was a delightful touch. The meals were exceptional—not only delicious but also served by friendly staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. The wine recommended by the sommelier was absolutely exquisite. A staff member from Pakistan offered heartfelt hospitality in beautiful Japanese. Additionally, we enjoyed the illuminated view of Atami Castle, making our stay truly memorable.

    Highly Recommended Accommodation

    The service and cuisine were both excellent. I used it for a birthday celebration, and the surprise suggestions and unexpected surprises made for a wonderful time! Highly recommended. However, the Onsen on the balcony or courtyard of the suite room has a slight gap at the bottom of the veranda railing, which made me a bit nervous about being seen by people or cars passing by. (Other than that, everything was perfect with great service and an amazing room!)

    Relax and Enjoy a Leisurely Holiday

    It was a two-day escape from our busy lives with friends. We enjoyed delicious meals and felt refreshed.     Hospitality Felt in Every Detail

    Passing through a narrow tunnel and heading up the hill by taxi, the journey to the Hotel felt reminiscent of a Ghibli world. The view overlooking the city of Atami was breathtaking. At dinner, I was first surprised to find my name embroidered on a pristine white napkin at my seat. Seeing my full name beautifully stitched gave me such a warm welcome feeling. The Italian cuisine was absolutely delicious, with especially fresh vegetables. The presentation was also impressive, and even the dessert plate had my name written in chocolate. The dessert itself was delightful as well. For breakfast, I chose Japanese-style dishes, and the tofu had an entirely new texture for me—almost like yuba (tofu skin). Everything tasted wonderful. In the garden, there were goats and a swing chair that made for such a relaxing experience. Thank you very much!

    The cuisine is exceptional! Other aspects might be less impressive.

    The stay was affordable, making it reasonable in terms of cost-performance, but the interior felt like a love hotel, which made it hard to relax. However, the cleanliness was excellent. The view is nice, but due to black patterns on the reinforced glass, you need to step outside to fully enjoy it. The Onsen is small and old but has good water quality. When a large insect entered the Onsen, I called the front desk and a foreign staff member promptly handled it with kindness. Up until this point, I would rate it 3 stars; however, dinner was exceptional with well-balanced service from the staff that earned this place 4 stars for me. Breakfast was average, but if this restaurant were near my home, I would definitely visit multiple times. If you're coming for food alone—it's worth it; otherwise, it's just as expected for its affordable price range.
