    Keep up the great work!

    Despite spending a significant amount, including golf, the satisfaction level was low. Positive aspects: ◯ Scenery (breathtaking views) ◯ Green (golf course) ◯ Retro-style Facility (though it feels underutilized) However, the staff lacked smiles, appeared gloomy, and did not convey kindness or friendliness. (There were some pleasant individuals, but overall—including the golf clubhouse—there were very few. Isn't Kawana supposed to be a course Japan takes pride in?) It felt like staying just once doesn't warrant attention. If that's the case, please refrain from listing on IKYU.com.

    Quiet and comfortable.

    The accommodation was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, creating a festive and elegant atmosphere. Combined with its classic charm, it was truly delightful. The cakes displayed through the window looked so tempting that I couldn't resist enjoying tea at the sun parlor. For dinner, we were told we would be contacted as soon as a table became available, and we were grateful to be seated relatively early. The Noël dinner was satisfying in both volume and content—we thoroughly enjoyed it at a relaxed pace. The bathing facility was refreshing, and in the morning, we had the pleasure of watching the sunrise. The view from the top floor was also stunning, making this trip to complete our classic hotel collection truly memorable. Thank you very much!

    First-time visit. It seems to be a Hotel where you can enjoy various activities like golf, pool, Onsen, spa treatments, and guided tours of the building—there's even more to explore! From the explanation at the front desk, it felt like this Hotel caters mainly to repeat guests. If I have another chance to stay, I’d like to fully utilize all facilities for a more satisfying experience. The meals were delicious; however, the cucumber in the breakfast salad was too wilted to eat. Please consider improving this.

    A unique charm found only here

    This historic Hotel, popular among golf enthusiasts, offers a unique charm. Although I arrived at night and wasn’t very hungry, unlike many other Hotels that focus on full-course dinners, this Hotel provides casual dining options. I enjoyed kamameshi and curry this time, both of which were delicious. The lively and casual atmosphere of the dining area is also appealing. The building itself has a classic charm, and one room is used for screening movies at night. During the day, this space serves as a lobby where guests can relax with a drink in hand while enjoying conversations or watching timeless classics on an improvised screen—a unique experience you won’t find in regular cinemas. The Room I stayed in was an affordable mountain-side option but still offered a view of the sea from the window. Its simple design was delightful. The souvenir corner is well-stocked with delicious items like fruit cake and pineapple cake. Affordable tote bags are also recommended. As part of the Prince Hotel group, it impressively maintains its distinct character without feeling like just another chain hotel clone.

    I stayed at this hotel as part of my classic hotel tour. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was attentive, and the meals were absolutely delicious. The bathing facility was new, clean, and modern, providing a relaxing experience. Even without playing golf, I found this to be an enjoyable hotel. At night, the lighting in the lobby is dimmed slightly, and stained glass lamps used as decor are illuminated, creating a romantic ambiance. I heard that during winter, the fireplace is lit. I would love to visit again!

    A classic and open relaxing Hotel

    This time, I wanted a relaxing trip at the hotel, so I chose a room in the main building with a balcony for its view. The room exceeded my expectations, with a balcony overlooking gardens connecting to golf courses on both sides and Sagami Bay. Enjoying a cold beer while taking in this view was simply perfect. Afterward, I visited the Onsen facility "Brisa Marina." The open-air bath has an exceptional location, offering views of only the garden and sea. It felt like time stood still as I soaked in this serene atmosphere. The bed in the room was elevated and faced the window, making it great for enjoying the scenery like on a daybed. The bathroom was conveniently designed with separate areas for bathing, washing up, and using the toilet—ideal for two people to use comfortably. I woke up at 5 AM the next morning and opened the curtains to see sunrise breaking through gaps in the clouds. Although cloudy weather had been forecasted, there was even a sun road over the sea—a delightful surprise! For breakfast, I chose Japanese cuisine featuring fresh dried fish and special tofu served with salt—all of which were delicious. After checking out but before catching my shuttle service bus, I spent time at Sun Parlor extending into the garden or relaxing in one of two connected lobbies—the classic main lobby or second lobby—both offering an open and spacious feel. Kawana Hotel is not just great for golf but also perfect for spending leisurely moments!

    We were satisfied with the hospitality.

    The staff were very kind and accommodating. The atmosphere was comfortable, and I would love to visit again. The dinner at the main dining room was satisfying in both presentation and taste. However, it was disappointing to see the neighboring Chinese couple dressed in T-shirts and tracksuits. It would be great if a dress code could be implemented.

    A charming Hotel with a sense of history

    I stayed here as part of a package with Kawana Golf Club. The building has a historic charm, but the renovations were well done, making it very comfortable. The staff provided excellent service. The bath was spacious, offering a relaxing view of the sea, and the rest area afterward was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep. I would love to stay at this Hotel again if I have the chance.

    The open-air breeze feels delightful.

    A Journey to a Classic Hotel 6th Destination Hotel with an Attached Prestigious Golf Course Expansive Grounds, Vibrant Greenery The Room was renovated and very clean. The bed was comfortable, though the pillow could have been firmer. Despite using a humidifier, the room felt quite dry. Room amenities were minimal. In the large public bath, while the shower heads were ReFa, it was disappointing that shampoos and such were Shiseido products. Hairdryers included ReFa and Dyson models. The bath area was never crowded and always pleasantly quiet. Dinner was disappointing: Staff spoke too softly to be heard clearly. Despite requesting alternatives due to my dislike of meat, this request wasn’t communicated properly. When I suggested white fish as a substitute, I received an unhelpful response from staff. Even when bread ran out at our table, staff didn’t notice until specifically asked—and then only replenished for one person.     Elegant Classic Hotel

    I made a Reservation here to enjoy the meals and Onsen. Right after check-in, I had to ask the staff for assistance, and they responded promptly, which was great. The women's bath was clean and almost like a private bath due to the higher number of male guests. The atmosphere in the facility was quiet and relaxing, providing a very soothing experience. The meals were also delicious. Since I had some extra time, I enjoyed exploring the facility and bathing until the 11:00 AM check-out time. With Shuttle Service available from Ito Station, transportation was convenient; however, it would be nice if there were buses available at check-out times as well. Next time, I hope to stay in an ocean-view Room to enjoy both meals and baths again!

    The environment was excellent with views of the sea and mountains, allowing for a relaxing stay. If it were closer to home, I would love to stay at this Hotel more frequently. The Room was comfortable, and I think I had the best sleep I've ever had. However, the breakfast (Western-style) felt lacking in both variety and quantity.

    Truly a first-class Hotel

    This time, I stayed with a breakfast-included plan to play golf at the Kawana Golf Club Fuji Course. I chose a Western-style breakfast, and the fluffy omelet, fresh salad, and excellent service were outstanding. The Onsen was also fantastic. Being able to use it even after golf is truly delightful.

    The sense of discomfort throughout the stay—could it be due to the "condescending service"? During breakfast, I was shocked by the torn menu, which reflected a lack of attention to detail. It’s disappointing given the expectations that come with the price. With such remarkable history, architecture, and golf course, it feels like a missed opportunity.

    We stayed for one night as a mother and daughter because we like classic hotels. While retaining the charm of the building, such as the impressive lobby, the rooms and bathhouse have been cleanly renovated, allowing us to stay comfortably. The semi-open-air bath with a view of Oshima was also nice. The food was delicious, and the hospitality of the staff was excellent.

    Even if you don't play golf,

    It was quiet due to the off-season for golf, and the classic Hotel with its dignified atmosphere was wonderful. The Room was a double (king), and the bed was spacious and comfortable. Other than the slightly narrow space outside the bed and the uncomfortable chair, it was perfect. Although we didn't drink, there was complimentary beer in the Room's refrigerator. The texture of the beef grill for dinner was excellent. The branding on the breakfast omelet was also stylish. It was unfortunate that the bath was under construction and we couldn't use the open-air bath, but the sauna was available and it was nice. The fireplace was lit in the lobby, and the staff kindly dimmed the lights to take a commemorative photo for us. It is a Hotel for golfers, but we enjoyed it even without playing golf.

    As expected of a classic Hotel, the Facility is excellent.

    As expected of a classic Hotel, the Facility is wonderful, especially the lobby with its wood-burning fireplace and stained glass. Unfortunately, due to ongoing construction, dining at the first-floor grill (both dinner and breakfast) was ordinary in terms of interior decoration and lacked atmosphere.

    Main Building with Spectacular Ocean View

    We stayed in a room with a terrace in the main building. Dinner was the "Kawana Dinner" at the dining area, and breakfast was Japanese cuisine at the grill, both of which were very delicious. The view of the sea from the main building was spectacular. The lighting in the room was a bit dim, and I felt it could be brighter. The onsen facility Brisa Marina had a luxurious feel, with great views and comfort.

    Overall, it was disappointing.

    At check-in, I was naturally asked whether I wanted a Japanese or Western breakfast and at what time. If you want to know immediately, I think you should inform us in advance about the meal content and time. Please understand that it is not obvious for guests, even if it suits your convenience. I was also surprised that the cake was sold out when we arrived at the hotel during tea time after 3 PM. It is disappointing that the shuttle service schedule does not align with the check-out time. Perhaps my expectations were too high because it is a classic hotel. The room was good.

    Enjoyed the atmosphere of a classic Hotel.

    Second stay at Kawana Hotel. The ocean-side room offers a very beautiful view. The atmosphere inside the hotel, starting from the lobby, was even more wonderful this time with Christmas decorations. During the day, there aren't many people, possibly because many guests are out playing golf, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the hotel. For dinner, we reserved "Inakaya," which caught our attention during our previous stay, and enjoyed sukiyaki. In a private room of a house designated as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property, the staff prepared delicious sukiyaki for us, which was not only tasty but also plentiful, leaving us very satisfied. The onsen facility "Brisa Marina" was also a very nice facility where we could relax. (It seems there are many men who play golf, as my husband mentioned there were many men, but there were fewer women, allowing for a more relaxed experience.) You can enjoy coffee time while gazing at the sea, stroll through the garden, or go up to the observatory, making it a hotel where you can enjoy various activities even without playing golf. I would like to visit again when the opportunity arises.

    Classic Hotel Tour

    We had breakfast and dinner at the Hotel. The food was very delicious and impressive. Also, the Onsen was spacious, and the view from the open-air bath was beautiful. We had a light meal at the cafe, but perhaps due to a lack of coordination among the staff, they came to take our order again after we had already ordered. The cup was also dirty, and we had it replaced. At the grill we used during dinner, there was a lot of dust on the lighting, which was concerning.

    A refreshing break

    A vast site, a spacious area, and the staff have a relaxed demeanor. The meals are lightly seasoned with a strong broth, offering a healthy menu, each dish undeniably delicious. The sake was also delightful (Japanese cuisine). It was a happy two days. Next time, I will choose a slightly larger Room.
