    Tranquility

    It was my first time visiting Hakodate, and it was absolutely the right choice. Great Onsen! Great food! Great sightseeing! Yunokawa Prince Hotel is amazing! I want to visit again.

    The Room is clean.

    The room was very clean, the Onsen was great, and the meals were satisfying. However, the smell of the room wear was quite strong. It felt like the odor was coming from within rather than just on the surface. At checkout, I noticed that staff had gathered indoor wear in the hallway during cleaning. That explained the smell to me.

    Nagisatei

    Everything was absolutely satisfying. The large public bath left my skin smooth, and I stayed warm without feeling chilled. The open-air bath offered the soothing sound of waves and the scent of the sea. I truly had a relaxing time! I will definitely choose Nagisatei again when I visit Hakodate.

    A very comfortable Hotel

    This was my first stay, and it pleasantly exceeded my expectations. The interior has been beautifully renovated, amenities are fully equipped, and the onsen-equipped apartment-style room was incredibly comfortable. It’s a place that makes you want to stay for an extended period. For future guests, please note that check-in is done via an automated check-in machine, so you won’t be able to check in if you arrive early. One small request would be regarding the room's yukata; both sets had a noticeable sweat odor which made wearing them uncomfortable (the towels were clean and odor-free). It would be appreciated if the scent of the yukata could also be checked. The accommodation was clean, staff service was excellent, and it’s an ideal place for business trips. I look forward to staying here again!

    The Room and bath are excellent, and the Hotel offers a welcome drink. The shop is open from early morning until late at night. I will use it again.

    The buffet was amazing.

    This was the best all-you-can-eat experience I've ever had. The sushi toppings were fresh, and I could enjoy freshly grilled scallops and steak. Above all, dining while overlooking the ocean was absolutely amazing. There was none of the usual hustle and bustle of buffets, allowing me to take my time selecting food. Each dish was delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. I definitely want to stay here again next year!

    My wife was also very satisfied!

    I travel almost every month, and this time was my first trip to Hakodate with my wife. The staff were kind, and we chose the all-you-can-eat crab plan. Compared to the hotel we stayed at the previous day, the crab here was more delicious. The sushi prepared by the chef, especially the whelk and blackthroat seaperch, was incredibly tasty. My wife was also satisfied with the two types of saunas in the onsen area. Everything deserves full marks; however, for future improvements: 1. It would be nice to have a wider variety of fruits. 2. The showerhead felt old and uncomfortable (early replacement is recommended). While I didn’t mind much about the onsen area’s interior compared to its beautiful design overall, because everything else in this hotel is so pristine, it made some areas feel slightly outdated. If this could be improved, it would make for a perfect hotel experience. We will definitely book this hotel again when visiting Hakodate with our family next time! Thank you very much!

    End your Hakodate journey at Nagisatei.

    On the first day in Hakodate, we spent time at the bayside and stayed at Yunokawa Prince Hotel Nagisatei the next day. The staff's hospitality, onsen, and meals are the highlights of Nagisatei. The open-air bath offers a stunning view of Tsugaru Strait, with Aomori Prefecture visible in the distance. The scenery and water quality are exceptional—it's truly one of the most relaxing onsens you'll find. Breakfast is a delicious buffet that lives up to its reputation. Staying at the wonderful Nagisatei was a perfect way to conclude an unforgettable trip to Hakodate. Highly recommended to friends!

    The bath is highly satisfying.

    I chose this accommodation because I was looking for a room with an open-air onsen that I could easily stay in alone. The onsen had a slightly salty texture when it touched my face, and the room bath offered a great view. I enjoyed it multiple times at different hours. Since it was almost a full moon, gazing at the moonlight reflecting on the sea surface was truly amazing. It was a quiet day with few guests, and there were no visitors from that country, so I could relax peacefully. However, perhaps due to the low number of guests, the live kitchen experience was disappointing as nothing was freshly grilled or prepared in front of us; everything seemed to be kept warm instead. In fact, because there were fewer guests, I would have appreciated freshly cooked dishes even more. The rice wasn't hot either—only the miso soup and ramen broth were served piping hot. Additionally, the towels in the room had a slight tobacco smell? And perhaps due to body odor or something similar, even the samue (room wear) felt like they hadn't been thoroughly cleaned. If I'm being picky—the only light coming into my room came through the bathroom area window; having brighter lighting instead of indirect lighting might have been better for me. That said, since my main purpose this time was enjoying the bath facilities, I am satisfied in that regard!

    The food was excellent.

    We stayed here for our honeymoon. The Room was very spacious and featured a private open-air bath and footbath, which were wonderful. Although the open-air bath was on an upper floor, the glass walls made us slightly concerned about privacy from outside. Dinner was a creative course meal, and every dish was delicious, especially the seafood which was exceptional. Additionally, the staff promptly handled our luggage storage before check-in, which we greatly appreciated. We would love to stay here again when we visit Hakodate next time.

    The 45㎡ Room on the Hakodate Mountain side is amazing!

    Although it is on the Hakodate Mountain side, you can still see the sea. While soaking in the footbath and enjoying a juice, I admired the city night view, including Goryokaku Tower, which offers a different charm compared to the sea view. And the Room! It might be the best Room in Nagisatei. The round sofa is very stylish. We enjoyed beer and snacks after our bath, but for families, it would be perfect for sitting together with children and enjoying quality time as a family.

    I didn't have high expectations, but...

    Recently, I hadn't been expecting much due to some disappointing experiences with hotels, but this place turned out to be the best for us. I gave it 5 stars. The room with an open-air bath was excellent. Usually, hotel room baths use reheated water, but here it was a natural hot spring with perfect size and temperature—absolutely amazing. Initially, we planned to go out for dinner in Hakodate at a nice restaurant, but the bath was so good that we decided to stay in and made a last-minute reservation for the hotel's buffet. It felt like an upscale resort buffet—organized and offering various dishes in small portions that were delightful. The food also deserves 5 stars. By chance, there were almost no Chinese or Korean guests during our stay, making it very peaceful. Another 5 stars!

    Delicious meals! Enjoy 100% natural hot spring water.

    I stayed at Nagisatei for the first time. The building may be old, but the renovated room with a private open-air Onsen and foot bath was incredibly spacious and comfortable for two people. The bed had a Tempur mattress, which was very comfortable and allowed me to sleep soundly. The private open-air Onsen in the room is automatically filled with hot spring water 24 hours a day, so the water never cools down, allowing you to bathe whenever you like. The water is 100% natural hot spring without any added water. It has a slight saltiness typical of Yunokawa Onsen and provides excellent warmth for your body. Above all, the meals were absolutely delicious! There was a wide variety of dishes with great flavors, leaving us completely satisfied. Each dish seemed carefully prepared, and many items were beautifully served in small bowls that could be freely taken—this felt much cleaner and more pleasant than buffet-style dining where tongs or spoons are shared among guests. I especially enjoyed the wide selection of bread at breakfast! There was also a corner where you could make your own salmon roe rice bowl (Ikura-don). The quality of grilled fish like red salmon and Atka mackerel was outstanding—it truly gave off that "Hokkaido" feeling! Overall, everything was delicious and amazing! One small request: there was only one bath towel per person provided in the room for use at both the large public bath and back in our room afterward. It would have been nice to have separate towels specifically for use in the room as well since we had to reuse damp ones after returning from bathing elsewhere. This is definitely a Hotel I want to visit again!

    The drainage system...

    I was looking forward to the private open-air bath in the room, but the shower drainage was almost completely clogged, causing dirty water to flow into the bathtub. I couldn't properly wash myself and was very disappointed. Basic maintenance should be ensured at a minimum. I also anticipated enjoying the dinner buffet, but despite being in Hakodate, there were no squid sashimi or squid rice dishes. The meat options were limited to venison and chicken—there wasn't even beef—and the seafood selection was sparse, which was disappointing. I chose this place trusting in the Prince name, but I don't feel inclined to return.

    I stayed in the [Mt. Hakodate side] Non-Smoking Deluxe Twin with Open-Air Bath (31 m²), but the in-room open-air bath was terrible. It felt like it was forced in during the renovation, and it was nowhere near worth the roughly 40,000 yen room rate. The buffet has a good reputation in Review, but I didn’t find it particularly delicious. Above all, I feel it is misleading that no photos of this low-quality open-air bath are posted. I visit Hakodate a few times a year, but I will never stay here again. I’m leaving an honest Review and hope this helps others.

    Hakodate Sightseeing

    I was invited to visit Hakodate and went there. The Ryokan(Hotel) was very close to the airport, and both the building and interior were very clean. You can have coffee anytime, and the semi-open-air bath in the Room was excellent. It was cold with snow falling outside, but the heating in the Room was too strong, making it hard to sleep on the first night. On the second day, I tried turning off (OF) the air conditioning, but it was still hot.

    The buffet is delicious.

    I visit Hakodate every year, and this Hotel is convenient for solo female travelers, so this is my sixth stay. Starting with the welcome drink, the Onsen is nice, and the buffet in the morning and evening is very delicious with a wide variety.

    Open-air bath in the Room

    This is my third time using it. It's safe for a single woman to stay. The food is delicious, and above all, the open-air bath in the Room is the best. The sea is right in front, with Mount Hakodate and city lights on the right. You can enjoy the scenery both at night and in the morning. It's close to the airport and not far from the city, so I highly recommend it. I plan to visit Hakodate again next year. I will use it again.

    The customer service was excellent.

    The room with an open-air bath had a great view, bath, and room. However, the entrance door opens inward, making it feel narrow and difficult to enter, and when going to the toilet at night, the bright entrance light could wake up the person next to you, so I was careful. The front desk and doorman were cheerful, and I had enjoyable conversations with them.

    I had reserved a roo...

    I had reserved a room with an open-air bath on the mountain side because the price was cheap. When I arrived and tried to use the open-air bath, it was completely visible from the road. An additional fee was incurred, but I was immediately switched to the sea side. The room was spacious enough, and since I was looking for a reasonably priced room with an open-air bath, it was the right decision to switch. Many hotels in Hakodate offer high-level cuisine, so it's not bad, but I think it's just okay. There are almost no performances or entertainment facilities in the hotel, just a small shop. In this day and age, I think there should be vending machines and ice makers on each floor. It was nice to be able to watch YouTube. I think it's good for those who want to enjoy an open-air bath in the room at a low price.

    The miso soup and th...

    The miso soup and the seafood bowl you can make yourself for breakfast are delicious. The Japanese-style room with an open-air bath on the ocean side was new and nice after the renovation, although it was compact in size. There are parking lots in front and behind the Hotel, but the one at the back was directly exposed to the sea breeze. For dinner, we chose the standard teppanyaki course, which was very good. It was quite filling, and the surf clam was sweet and delicious. The steak was served on toast so that even the fat could be eaten. Breakfast was buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes, and it was delicious. I had seconds of the seafood bowl and ate two bowls, so I wanted to try other dishes, but I couldn't, unfortunately.

    The lounge on the fi...

    The lounge on the first floor is very stylish and comfortable, with a library and free drinks. The meals are delicious, and the staff in charge of dinner were cheerful and pleasant, allowing us to have an enjoyable time. Although I am not a fan of buffets, I found the breakfast to be delicious. The Room is also clean, which raises expectations to the same level. However, having only one hand towel in the Room is quite disappointing. It might be unavoidable to maintain this price, though.

    The bath was excellent, both the Room bath and the large public bath. It's great that you can enter anytime with the free-flowing hot spring. The location was also good. The salmon roe at the breakfast buffet was small and had a strong soy sauce flavor, which was not great. Guests are looking for more of a Hakodate feel, so reducing some of the ordinary menu items would be appreciated.

    The bath was disappointing.

    The Hotel staff were very courteous and provided excellent guidance. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were very delicious. The Room had a large bed, allowing for a restful stay. A bit disappointing was that the public bath was not very clean, and the private open-air bath in the guest Room was completely visible from outside. Even if the open-air bath is visible from outside, I think the shower area, where you stand to use it, could have a bit more privacy protection. The public bath gave an impression of being slightly unclean. It was a bit disappointing as I was looking forward to it.

    Great satisfaction

    Room clean Private open-air bath available in the guest room For this price, the cost performance is good. It would be nice if the breakfast menu changed periodically. The private open-air bath in the guest room seems visible from outside the room, so my wife is concerned about that and would like it improved. The staff were all pleasant and provided excellent service. I will use it again when I visit Hakodate in the future.
