    Perfect for Families

    Our entire family had a very satisfying stay. The service and environment were excellent, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable time. However, as someone personally sensitive to smells, I noticed a slightly old scent on the yukata, futon, and cushions, which was the only concern for me (though my family did not mind it). Overall, it is a very good Ryokan, and we would love to stay again if given the opportunity.

    Maximum Satisfaction

    I stayed here for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday. What impressed me the most was not just the cleanliness of the building or the delicious food, but the exceptional hospitality of the staff. They accommodated our request to avoid certain ingredients during meals, provided helpful advice on sightseeing spots, and handled our luggage with great care—every action reflected their outstanding hospitality. What surprised me most was that during dinner, chopsticks were placed for a right-handed person, but by breakfast, they had been adjusted for my left-handedness. The attention to such detail in such a short time amazed me. Even on our way home, we were already determined to return whenever we visit Hakone again!

    The inari sushi served as a late-night snack was delicious. It's wonderful that the Ryokan values traditional hospitality from the past.

    Satisfied with the Room for Three Generations

    The room layout suited us perfectly, and we were very satisfied. The indoor and outdoor baths in the large public bath were a bit too lukewarm for me. Although the private open-air bath in the room was not an onsen, my grandchild had a great time playing, so it was good overall. The food was decent for the price. Despite the rain, I appreciated the shuttle service provided by the accommodation. There were no children's yukata available, so I had to request one at the front desk before heading to the large public bath; it would be better if they were prepared in advance in the room. Thank you to all staff members for your hospitality!

    I had a very relaxing time.

    We had a truly wonderful time. We visited looking forward to the meals, and every dish was, of course, delicious—especially the broth, which was exceptionally flavorful. It had been a long time since we experienced such an impressive broth. The service was also excellent; the smiles and attentiveness of the staff member who assisted us were very comforting. Thank you for providing such a lovely experience. We will visit again!

    The staff's hospital...

    The staff's hospitality was excellent. Everyone was warm, attentive, and efficient, making the experience very pleasant. The accommodation itself was impeccably clean, and the meals were intricately prepared to reflect the seasons, which we thoroughly enjoyed. However, regarding the dessert, while the top layer of the monaka skin was crisp, the bottom layer had become soggy—perhaps due to sitting with chiffon cake and red bean paste—which was a bit disappointing. The bath facilities were wonderful with great views and open for extended use; however, it would be even better if there were gender rotations so both baths could be enjoyed. Unfortunately, during our stay, we couldn't enjoy sights like the moon or plum blossoms due to less-than-ideal weather and timing. Next time, I hope to carefully choose a season or period that allows us to fully appreciate everything this accommodation has to offer!

    An Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again

    We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday. The staff's thoughtful gestures, such as taking a photo during dinner and leaving a lovely celebratory message in the room, made us very happy. Thank you so much. It was an accommodation that satisfied us in every way. We would love to stay again next year.

    The Onsen was very good.

    The size of the private bath and the Onsen in the large public bath were very good. The Room was also renovated and clean, but I thought it would have been better if the kotatsu was a little warmer.

    A highly satisfying one-night stay

    The room and the property were clean, and I had a comfortable stay. The meals were elaborate modern kaiseki by the head chef, and each dish was very delicious. I would like to use this property again. If I had to say, I would like to see an increase in the variety of alcohol, especially sake from Kochi.

    It was perfect.

    The service, open-air bath, large communal bath, meals, small guest rooms, room size, and cost performance were all excellent. Among the many Ryokan in Hakone, this is highly recommended. Keep up the good work!

    Solo stay, had a great time.

    First of all, the location is excellent. Situated on the hillside behind Hakone Shrine, the view from both the room and the bath overlooks Lake Ashi. The room is an island style centered around two large beds. Everything necessary is compactly arranged, making it easy to use, and the overall atmosphere and interior were charming and pleasant. Meals can be enjoyed in a private room both at night and in the morning, which is delightful for solo travelers. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, providing a satisfying experience. The customer service was also excellent. I felt that there was always attention to detail. In a time when various things are increasing in price, I am impressed by the level of hospitality provided for the accommodation fee this time. From here, it's more of my personal preference. I would be happier if the temperature of the bath, especially the open-air one, was set a bit higher. All the dishes were wonderful, but the rice felt lacking in taste, aroma, and stickiness. It might be due to the balance with other dishes.

    The bath and service were excellent.

    It is located right behind Hakone Shrine. Using the back road, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the main hall, which is an amazing location. We went early, left our luggage, and visited Hakone Shrine. The Stays was very good. We used the private bath, the semi-open-air bath in the Room, and the large public bath. We were lucky that there were no other guests in the large public bath, so we had it all to ourselves. The large public bath and the changing room were very cold, so it would have been nice to have some heating Facility. The Onsen itself was excellent. The food was not delicious. The service was good, so we felt a bit reluctant to leave it unfinished. The private bath is charged, but if you are staying with two or more people, it is worth using. The semi-open-air bath in the Room allows you to open the window, so you can enjoy the pleasant winter breeze while having a drink, which is fantastic. There were only water and a small vending machine near the lobby, and room service was available until 9:30 PM. We bought alcohol and snacks at a convenience store, which turned out to be a great decision.

    A relaxing stay with two meals included.

    A Ryokan surrounded by trees, with attentive service from the staff, delicious cuisine, and comfortable hot springs, all elements make it very impressive. It is a great place to escape the city and enjoy tranquility and relaxation. I will stay at this Ryokan again next time I visit Hakone. Very much looking forward to it!

    とても素敵で歓迎してくれる旅館

    Ryokan with nice view and walking distance from Hakone Shrine, the meals are nice and the staff are very friendly. The room was spacious and new (believe it was newly renovated). All staff are friendly, but the waitress that served us was especially welcoming and very good with children, our 4 years old grew very fond of her on our 2 nights stay. Hope to visit again soon!

    An otherwise fine stay, spoiled.

    The hotel was very nice, but during check-out a moustached man at reception was exceptionally rude. We had misplaced a key and he accused us of stealing it. I was baffled and offended; I told him it must have been left somewhere in the hotel, but he kept shouting at us. Our taxi was waiting, and because he held us up we were charged an extra JPY 2,300 in waiting fees. He was also impolite during the phone calls I had today. An otherwise fine stay was spoiled by this unpleasant staff member.

    I stayed for the fir...

    I stayed for the first time in several years and was able to spend a very comfortable time. Thank you for the hospitality. My family and I are talking about wanting to go again. There are many Stays in Hakone, but it has become a favorite Property that we want to repeat.

    A very lovely Stays.

    The room, bath, cuisine, facility, and service were all perfect and comfortable. It is truly a wonderful property. The bath in the room was also extremely pleasant. I will definitely use it again.

    Stays No.1 for Complete Satisfaction!

    I was lucky to make a Reservation at the perfect time when there was a sudden vacancy for my son's birthday celebration. The Room with a semi-open-air bath was very beautiful, and it was amazing to enjoy the bath while overlooking Lake Ashi. There was also floor heating, and the area by the window was warm and comfortable, showing the thoughtful consideration of the Property. For meals, they were considerate of ingredients we couldn't eat, and my child seemed very satisfied, saying it was delicious even after we returned home. I also made a Reservation for a spa treatment and received a full 90-minute session, which was excellent and washed away all the fatigue accumulated from work. Even though many luxury Stays offer to carry your luggage upon arrival, this Property also kindly offered to carry it to the car upon departure, which was a great help with a small child. I felt the warm service of the Property's staff until the very end, making it a very pleasant Stay. It's definitely the No.1 Property I want to stay at again!

    Arrived at the Stays...

    Arrived at the Stays amidst the first snowfall. The view from the lobby and the Room was beautiful, and I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the Onsen, leisurely drinking tea and reading a book in the Room. Dinner and breakfast were served in a private room with a great view, offering a gentle and perfectly portioned meal. The staff were all smiling and warm. The butter sandwich from Toyogetsu was also very delicious, and I would like to buy it again. The cuisine, service, and sweets were all meticulously crafted, making for a very pleasant trip. Thank you very much. I will visit again.

    Consideration from the Stays side in various places

    We traveled with three generations and had four children. During dinner, we were given a questionnaire about the next morning's menu, and we could choose up to four favorite dishes from nine options. This system was very appreciated as children often can't eat the meals served at the Ryokan in the morning due to mood or preferences. We were able to borrow yukatas in sizes for children aged 2, 5, 6, and 10, which made the grandparents adore them even more. There was a telescope in the lobby, and it was fun to observe the surroundings of Lake Ashi. It was a wonderful Stays. Thank you for a very enjoyable time.

    It's a luxury to be able to walk to Hakone Shrine in the morning.

    I was very grateful for the celebration of the Kiju (77th birthday) during dinner, and was deeply moved when we were given commemorative photos labeled "Kiju Celebration" for each of the three families by the end of dinner. The room was quite spacious for just the two of us, but after dinner, all the grandchildren gathered in the room, allowing us to relax and enjoy each other's company. The semi-open-air bath in the room and the large public bath were both excellent. Additionally, the property's location was superb, and we were able to take a morning walk to Hakone Shrine after being guided on the walking route after breakfast, which was very nice. With check-out at 11 a.m., we had plenty of time to visit Hakone Shrine before it got crowded, enjoying the clear morning air. We received great care and attention from everyone at Stays in every aspect. Thank you very much for everything this time.

    Used for a three-generation trip

    We were taken care of by a total of 10 people, including two couples of our son and grandchildren, for my father-in-law's 77th birthday celebration. I had made various inquiries via email in advance, and they provided detailed adjustments and suggestions, such as a celebratory cake, rental of a hat and haori, and an a la carte menu proposal for a 2-year-old child who did not have a meal included, which gave us great peace of mind. Additionally, they arranged for all three rooms to be on the same floor and prepared a large private room for both dinner and breakfast, which alleviated many concerns about traveling with a large group, and we are grateful for their many thoughtful gestures. After enjoying the private bath and returning to the room, we were pleasantly surprised to find delicious inari sushi delivered as a night snack. I was stressed as the organizer of my father-in-law's 77th birthday celebration trip, but thanks to the hospitality of everyone at Toyogetsu, it turned out to be a very successful trip. From the welcome to the checkout, we were warmly received, and although I felt humbled, I realized firsthand that everyone's feelings and attitudes contribute to the high evaluation of this property. We were very well taken care of this time. We would love to visit again.

    The flexible service and warm hospitality were excellent!

    I believe we may have caused some inconvenience with the many dietary restrictions during our trip with guests from America, but we were deeply impressed by your willingness to accommodate all of them. The prior communication was very courteous, and when we mentioned that we couldn't eat beef or pork, you kindly checked if beef or pork broth was acceptable, confirming everything in detail. We thought it might be difficult to meet all our requests, but you managed to accommodate everything perfectly, and our guests were extremely pleased, saying it was the best trip of their lives. In Japan, where many places still find it challenging to handle dietary restrictions, your thorough accommodation was greatly appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, leaving us all in awe. Since we had a room with a semi-open-air bath, those who were uncomfortable with the large public bath could use the room bath, while those who wanted to use the large public bath could do so, which was very well received. The room bath was spacious with a great view, making it a wonderful bath. Our guests from America were delighted to enjoy the Onsen multiple times. Both the senior generation in their 60s and 70s and the elementary school children were very satisfied, and we are truly grateful that everyone could spend a happy time. The children were fascinated by the many interesting books in the relaxation room, so while the adults enjoyed a leisurely dinner for about two hours, the children could borrow and read books one after another, preventing them from getting bored and allowing the adults to enjoy their meal at ease. There was also a hammock in the relaxation room, which the children loved. The Inari sushi prepared for the late-night snack was very popular with both the Japanese and the guests from America. Unfortunately, the weather was not favorable, and we couldn't see Mt. Fuji or take a walk nearby, which was disappointing, but the mist-covered mountains visible from the window were a beautiful, quintessentially Japanese landscape that the guests appreciated. I believe all of this was possible because of the wonderful hospitality and service we received. The room was spacious, and for us with small children, the layout with a completely separate living room and bedroom was very convenient. Everything seemed newly renovated, or perhaps it was just very clean and well-maintained, making for a pleasant stay throughout. Thank you very much. Although access is difficult without a car, we would love to visit this Ryokan again.

    It's too comfortable.

    I don't usually write reviews, but this property has been renovated, and the facility is clean everywhere. The cleaning is thorough, making it a truly pleasant stay, so I decided to write this review. The food suited our taste and was served in just the right amount to fill us up. The dishes were lovely, and it was clear that everything was carefully prepared and presented. The onsen was also great, as there were no times when it was closed for cleaning or gender changes during the night, allowing us to enjoy it until checkout time without rushing in the morning. This is one of the properties I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    It was a memorable honeymoon.

    We got married earlier this year and finally found the time to go on our honeymoon. The service and meals during our visit were excellent. The bath attached to the Room also offered a great view of the outside scenery, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to use your services again if we have the opportunity.

    This is an inn that is friendly to infants and toddlers.

    The staff's hospitality was very pleasant, and since it was close to my birthday, there was also a heartwarming service, making it a very satisfying trip. Particularly good points include: They lent toys to our 1.5-year-old daughter during meals, allowing the adults to enjoy their meals at a leisurely pace. Additionally, the relaxation room had picture books and toys, which our daughter enjoyed. As for future expectations, it would be nice to have magazines and a coffee maker in the lobby and relaxation room. It would also be even better if the private bath had an open-air bath. This is one of the accommodations I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.
