    A Refreshing Escape from the Heat

    I’ve been wanting to visit in every season since my last stay, but our schedules never lined up, so we ended up returning in July again. The cedar-lined path from the Accommodation to Hakone Shrine felt cool and refreshing even under the strong sun, and we were lucky enough to hear the evening cicadas singing—reminding me once again how wonderful Hakone is. Even during dinner we could occasionally hear them; together with the thoughtfully prepared dishes with elegant seasoning and the recommended sake, it made for a truly luxurious time. The next day, after enjoying a healthy breakfast carefully prepared, we were kindly driven to Motohakone Port. From the deck of the pirate ship, we cruised while looking at Mt. Fuji and fully enjoying the cool breeze. We’ll be back again.

    Soothe Your Soul with the Charm of Rain

    This was our second stay since visiting a few years ago. We loved having both dinner and breakfast served in a private Room, which let us relax and enjoy our meals without any worries, so we had been hoping to return—and we were truly looking forward to this visit. We had seen photos of the renovated Room, but when we were shown in on the day, we were deeply moved by the view from the window. The Room was even more wonderful than we imagined, and we appreciated having hojicha and sencha provided; both were delicious. Although it rained during our stay, it didn’t feel humid at all—in fact, it was pleasantly cool. We hardly needed to use the air conditioner and slept very well. As for the meals we had been anticipating, we were amazed by how fresh every ingredient was. The sashimi was especially delicious. We are also grateful for the staff’s courteous service during mealtimes. When we mentioned that this was our second visit, you promptly arranged a Reservation for the private bath and kindly accommodated our preferred time—thank you very much. We hope to visit again in autumn, and would appreciate your continued hospitality then as well.

    They were very kind to us.

    We stayed as a family. My mother has difficulty walking, but thanks to your thoughtful care, we were able to spend our time without worry. The steps to the bath were challenging, but the private family bath was accessible with a flat route, which was very helpful. We heard that renovations have been done repeatedly, and the Facility was spotless and beautifully maintained. Although many of the staff seemed young, everyone worked energetically with a wonderful service mindset—perhaps due to good hospitality training. The meals were creative, beautifully presented with lovely tableware, and we truly enjoyed the flavors. There were also international guests staying, and some seemed unsure about how to use the baths or brought towels into the bath; I explained it myself, but I think it would be helpful if there were clearer guidance. We would love to stay again with family, friends, or as a couple.

    Family Trip

    It was a wonderful Hotel! We booked a Plan that included two sessions in the private family bath, and it was so nice to relax together as a family for the first time in a while—such a great memory. All the staff were kind, and we enjoyed an elegant, peaceful stay. Everything was spotless and incredibly comfortable. We found such a great Accommodation in Hakone, and we’d love to visit again with my parents. Hakone Shrine was also just a short walk away, so the location was perfect. This trip really reminded me how much staying at the right Hotel can elevate your whole experience. Thank you very much.

    Golden Week in May

    This was my first stay. Set away from the bustle of Hakone, this calm Accommodation allowed me to spend a truly wonderful time. I enjoyed the Onsen, and the meals were also very delicious.

    It’s a bit different from what I expected…

    This was my first time staying here. The Room had been renovated and was clean. I was surprised at how small the bathroom and changing area were. They are far smaller than they look in the photos (just my personal impression). I have stayed many times at Accommodations in the same price range, but this was the first time there were no individually wrapped amenities or face masks provided in the Room. The meals also had no standout main dishes, and nothing left an impression. Although it wasn’t on the menu, they had shochu and oolong tea, so I asked—just in case—if they could make an oolong high, but they immediately replied curtly that they couldn’t. It’s true that I was the one at fault for asking for something not on the menu, but most places will make it, or at least decline apologetically, so it made me feel like I had done something wrong. The Reviews were good, so I expected too much.

    This was my first stay. It’s a small Accommodation, very clean and well maintained. I felt it is thoughtfully designed for guests with children. The service was excellent. I also appreciated the long opening hours for the large public bath. We stayed in a Japanese-style Room, but due to my age I would have preferred sitting on a chair, and getting in and out of the sunken kotatsu was a bit difficult. I think we should have chosen a Room with beds. The meals were served in a private dining room, which was nice, but the appetizer before dinner (isobe-age) was cold and hard, which gave a poor first impression. Inari sushi was prepared in the Room as a late-night snack, but we were too full to eat it; I appreciated the thought, though I feel something else might be better. I wrote quite a few comments because I hope to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    That was disappointing.

    Thank you for accommodating our schedule change and for rescheduling both our meal times and the private bath time. Many areas of the property have been renovated and everything was very clean. From our Room we had a panoramic view of Lake Ashi and the mountains of Hakone, and from the bath we could enjoy that scenery along with the sound of trees and birdsong, which made for a truly relaxing stay. The meals were also thoughtfully prepared, and we enjoyed dishes unlike anything we’ve had elsewhere. Thank you as well to the staff for their warm and courteous service. However, one issue was very disappointing. The toothbrushes provided in our Room were in clear plastic bags, but one of the two had a torn bag and no toothpaste included, and it appeared to be something another guest had already used. Even though it was in a bag, it should have been obvious at a glance that it had been used. Knowing that a toothbrush someone else may have used was placed among our amenities was honestly unpleasant—more than that, it felt unhygienic—and it made us start doubting everything else in the Room as well, leaving us uneasy. Because everything else was so wonderful, this was truly very disappointing.

    Wonderful

    One of the best hot spring hotels I have stayed at in Japan—everything was excellent, from the greeting, meals, service, room design and cleanliness to the onsen. The most impressive were the pick-up service, quick email responses, and warm welcome throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed it and will definitely come back.     Our family of four stayed here. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, but we were warmly welcomed and served tea and fresh fruit. The Room had a great view, everything was spotless, and the temperature of the open-air bath in the Room was perfect. The large public bath and even the hallway leading to it were impeccably clean, making our stay very comfortable. Dinner felt refined and the portion was just right for me; I thought it might be a little small for our middle-school son, but there was an inari sushi late-night snack, so he was satisfied. assistant to=all:final

    I visited Hakone Shrine and stayed at this Accommodation. As my birthday was approaching, I truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture arranged on short notice. The food was delicious, and the Accommodation had a lively atmosphere—overall, an excellent stay.

    Hospitality Accommodation

    It was a wonderful accommodation where we were warmly welcomed and seen off with great care. The relaxation facilities were well-equipped, and my wife and I talked about how nice it would be to spend more time here together. Once our child becomes a bit calmer, we look forward to enjoying the meals as well. If possible, it would be great if the water pressure in the shower of the room's bath could be increased (it was weak, so we used a bucket instead...). Overall, we are very satisfied and will visit again!

    Outdoor Hot Spring with Cloudy Water and Warm Hospitality

    Located on a hill yet close to Hakone Shrine via a back road, we enjoyed the sunrise and the peaceful torii gate in the morning. The unforgettable experience of the open-air bath with cloudy hot spring water was amazing, especially under the moonlight. It’s rare to find accommodations where you can bathe even at midnight, and their service was excellent. Dinner was tasty but served in smaller portions; however, both the late-night snack and breakfast were satisfying. We appreciated the shuttle service to Hakone-en, which allowed us to visit Motomiya via the Komagatake Ropeway. The accommodation is not overly large, and its young staff were friendly, warm-hearted, and made it a wonderful stay.

    First Trip

    We stayed at the accommodation for our 4-month-old son's first trip. We were very satisfied with the heartwarming hospitality. The room and private dining area were equipped with a baby mat (likely for an additional fee) and a diaper disposal bin. The meals we had were also very delicious and satisfying. When we used the private bath (limited to 50 minutes), there was a baby bathtub and baby soap provided, allowing us to stay with peace of mind. Above all, thanks to the staff's hospitality, we were able to enjoy traveling with our child despite being inexperienced parents, for which we are truly grateful. We hope to visit again during seasonal changes in the future.

    The staff is excellent.

    From pick-up to departure, the service was impeccable. I was truly impressed. Despite their youth, the staff were very professional and had wonderful smiles. The meals were delicious and served at just the right pace, allowing us to enjoy them leisurely. The tableware was also beautiful and added to the experience. I would love to visit again!

    It was our first trip with three generations!

    The reservation was for three generations, including a baby who had just turned one year old. From the time of booking, they communicated kindly via email about the baby's meal menu and allergies. Upon check-in, we were delighted by the service of matcha tea and fresh sweets. The view from the room was wonderful, and everything—from the newly renovated room to the facilities and baths—was exceptionally clean. Even in areas like the roof of the open-air bath where some ryokans might have cobwebs, there wasn’t a single one here! Meals were served in the same room by the same staff member for both breakfast and dinner, which gave us peace of mind. The food was also incredibly delicious; even our baby ate heartily (laughs). This accommodation is popular among pregnant women and families with children, but it was quiet inside, allowing us to relax peacefully. Thank you very much!

    We indulged in luxury.

    The location was truly luxurious, allowing for a morning stroll to Hakone Shrine in the crisp air. The Room was spacious enough for two people to feel spoiled, and we enjoyed a relaxing time together after dinner. The large public bath was comfortable, and the thick mattress ensured a good night's sleep. After breakfast, we followed the walking route recommended by the staff to Hakone Shrine. We enjoyed a peaceful visit in the refreshing air. Although check-out was early, we were able to spend our time leisurely until the end. We deeply appreciate the thoughtful hospitality of all staff members, as well as the delicious meals and even late-night snacks provided with care. We are already considering another visit soon! It was an exceptional stay that exceeded our expectations.

    We stayed with our 0-year-old and 2-year-old, and this was the best accommodation we have ever experienced. The cleanliness of the facility and the hospitality were excellent, but what stood out was the extensive preparation of children's items such as futons for kids, bouncers, diaper bins, and dining utensils. It made traveling with children incredibly comfortable. The staff were very kind to our children, allowing both parents and kids to relax during our stay. The room was spacious with beautiful views from the window, letting us fully enjoy Hakone. I highly recommend this place for families traveling with children and would definitely choose it again when visiting Hakone in the future. Thank you!

    Relaxing Hospitality

    We stayed for two nights with my parents. It had been 25 years since my last stay with my mother, and I was amazed and touched that you still had a record of it after all these years. The heartfelt, delicious, and gentle meals, the relaxing open-air bath, the meticulously cleaned room, and above all, the smiles and hospitality of the staff were truly healing. Even staff members who were not directly attending to us called us by name or knew about places we visited during sightseeing—this demonstrated excellent teamwork and genuine hospitality. It was a very relaxing two-night stay. I would love to visit again in the future. Thank you for providing such a healing experience!

    Completely satisfied overall

    I recently stayed in a corner room on the 3rd floor. The view was amazing, and to conclude, I would love to stay again! Absolutely satisfied! The entire accommodation, both inside and outside, as well as the rooms, were impeccably maintained. The staff's training (apologies if this sounds condescending) was excellent, providing outstanding hospitality! Just a few points of note: The onsen is only available in the large public bath; private baths and room baths are not onsen. Regarding meals, my wife was very satisfied; however, for me personally, the dishes were a bit too creative. I prefer simpler arrangements that highlight the natural texture of ingredients. The glass and mirrors were thoroughly polished, which made for an extremely pleasant experience.

    A charming accommodation with excellent hospitality

    Stayed for a 1-night, 2-day family trip. The accommodation provided excellent communication via phone and email before our stay. On the day of check-in, we arrived earlier than the check-in time, but as soon as we parked, the staff warmly welcomed us, which was a pleasant surprise. In the lobby with a beautiful view, we were offered cold towels, tea, and traditional sweets. They also carefully confirmed any food allergies and provided detailed guidance on the facilities and room amenities. From our room, we could see Motohakone Port. Meals were served through a system where they called our room when everything was ready. Upon going to the dining area on the first floor, each group had an assigned staff member who promptly guided them to their table. The number of staff seemed quite sufficient to ensure smooth service. The meals were delicious! For young children who started playing during meals, they kindly provided toys and coloring books—such thoughtful consideration that was greatly appreciated. The bath facilities were open until 11:00 AM the next day and included both indoor and outdoor baths. Additionally, there was a complimentary massage chair that felt incredibly relaxing. Throughout our stay, all interactions with staff were courteous and attentive. We enjoyed a very relaxing and comfortable experience overall!

    From the initial contact, you were considerate of my dietary preferences, which made me look forward to the stay. The entire facility was clean, and the room was well-maintained, allowing for a comfortable experience. The meals were all delicious and served in just the right portions. The large public bath had a faint sulfur scent, giving a true Onsen experience where I could relax and soak at ease. What left the biggest impression on me was the staff! Everyone greeted us with warm smiles whenever we passed by. In particular, the person who served our meals left an excellent impression with their tone of voice, manner of speaking, meal explanations, and even casual conversations!     We stayed at this Ryokan for a family trip. The staff were very accommodating to wheelchair users, making it a recommended choice for those with physical disabilities. However, please note that the large public bath requires using stairs, so we used the semi-open-air bath in our Room instead. The private bath was also very satisfying. The meals featured carefully selected menus, though we felt it would be even better if special dishes were available. Additionally, we hope the selection of items in the gift shop can be further expanded in the future.

    Exceptional dining

    The cold matcha and Japanese sweets offered at check-in were a refreshing treat, especially in the intense summer heat. Dinner featured a refined taste crafted with carefully selected seasonal ingredients, along with adventurous dishes like sauce made from knotweed mixed with fresh cream and Shizuoka chicken in a hot pot style—everything was exquisite! The rich flavor of the chicken, packed with collagen, paired perfectly with the recommended Fuji whiskey. Breakfast was simple yet delicious, from boiled greens to grilled mackerel and melon or smoothie for dessert—a perfectly balanced meal that left me feeling happy in the morning. The hospitality of the staff, the quality of the Onsen water, and the view from our Room were just some of many other highlights I could mention—but I'll stop here for now. Looking forward to visiting again!
