    Enjoy a luxurious staycation!

    Conveniently located near the station for easy sightseeing in Kumamoto, with clean and high-quality rooms. Enjoyed the stay with the hotel's restaurant and bar. Initially booked a plan without meals but added breakfast later. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

    Kumamon Castle Room

    Stayed with my daughter in the Kumamon Castle Room. Upon entering, it felt like a dreamland with Kumamon dolls, two sets of bunk beds, a slide (super fast!), free-flow drinks including juice and alcohol, toys everywhere, and a huge cypress bath—truly a special room for both adults and kids to enjoy. Watching my child play while sipping on some drinks in the raised seating area with views of the station square was simply perfect.

    Strong odor.

    The room assigned at the front desk was on the 8th floor. As soon as I got off the elevator on the 8th floor, there was a strong smell of tobacco residue. I had confirmed that this hotel is entirely non-smoking before making the reservation. Feeling something was off, I entered the room, but it turned out to be worse—the smell of tobacco residue in the room was overwhelming and nauseatingly strong. Both myself and another person with me had the same impression. I wanted to contact the front desk about this issue, but since my companion wasn’t feeling well and needed to lie down immediately, we left it as is. There was an air purifier in the room, so I tried using it at maximum power for three hours hoping it would eliminate the odor—but there was no effect. Although this hotel reopened after renovations at the end of 2024, could it be that former smoking rooms or floors were used without proper cleaning? This has been by far my worst accommodation experience ever. I usually don’t write reviews about personal preferences like staff service or meal quality since they vary from person to person; however, I decided to leave this review for future guests who might stay in this particular room.

    Very close to the station with a calm atmosphere, I was very satisfied. As a Diamond member, I received a half bottle of sparkling wine. The only inconvenience was the lack of a clock in the Room.

    As expected.

    A rebranded former long-established Hotel located at the corner of Kumamoto Station rotary. The Room windows felt very small. Possibly due to staff reduction, the lounge with alcohol was unmanned and not a proper setup. Guests were required to take drinks back to their Rooms themselves, using flimsy plastic cups that lacked any atmosphere. Moreover, concerns about underage drinking arose (as the system was still in its trial phase). While "a variety of instant noodles are available for free" might appeal to some, it did not resonate with middle-aged or older guests. It was slightly better than an airport card lounge but could not compare to a proper Hotel club lounge.

    It was excellent.

    Stayed on the luxury floor with my wife and our infant. The room was comfortable with features like a spacious sofa that could be used as a daybed, a large powder room equipped with a Repronizer hairdryer, and amenities such as Balmuda speakers and kettle. It was truly a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, we only had time to sleep during this visit, so next time I’d like to plan better to fully enjoy the room. I would definitely choose this accommodation again when staying in Kumamoto.

    Located right in front of Kumamoto Station, the outdoor open space features unique vegetation and eye-catching parasols. The elegant appearance left a strong impression, making it a delightful choice for accommodation. The room was spacious, and the non-standard furniture arrangement felt very refreshing. I also enjoyed breakfast, which included local dishes and an extensive menu that made me feel truly impressed by breakfast for the first time in a while. Thank you very much. The lounge bar was both calm and vibrant, providing an enjoyable experience. I will definitely choose this accommodation whenever I stay in Kumamoto.

    All-you-can-drink

    The luxury floor offers an all-you-can-drink alcohol service, but instead of a lounge, there is a corner with alcohol and soft drinks that you can take back to your Room. This allows you to buy snacks and enjoy drinks in your Room. There were nuts and, for some reason, instant noodles available, but potato chips might have been a better option. Conveniently located near the station.

    First time in Kumamoto

    I stayed in accommodation in Kumamoto for the first time. The location is in front of Kumamoto Station, making it convenient for both train and bus use. The meals were delicious, and the venue had spacious seating and comfortable chairs. If choosing this class of hotel, I would like to stay here again.

    Newly renovated with a great atmosphere and excellent value for money.

    Conveniently located near Kumamoto Station with parking right behind. The highlight was the Diamond Member benefit of half a bottle of champagne per person, chilled in the refrigerator with glasses, which we thoroughly enjoyed! The hotel has been renovated, featuring a bar counter next to the front desk and rooms with chic tones, which were very pleasant. Although the TV suddenly stopped working, it was promptly fixed—this is the only reason for a slight deduction. Great value for money. Would love to stay again!

    Recommended Hotel at a Reasonable Price

    Conveniently located near the station and airport bus stop, this Hotel is clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The female staff at check-in was very pleasant, but unfortunately, the female staff who returned my suitcase after check-out lacked a smile and was quite unfriendly, leaving a disappointing final impression. A cheerful "Have a nice day!" would have been lovely.

    Renovated into a charming and atmospheric Hotel.

    I had stayed at this accommodation before its renovation, and after the renewal, it has become a stylish and luxurious hotel with a great atmosphere. The location is very convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Kumamoto Station. The bar on the first floor is very chic, allowing you to enjoy drinks at your leisure. The room has been renovated with features like outlets near the bedside and clean water facilities that smelled pleasant. While the size of the room is standard, it was comfortable for relaxation. Above all, the breakfast was incredibly delicious, featuring many local dishes such as dango-jiru soup, beef bowls, and karashi renkon (spicy lotus root). The milk from Aso was especially tasty—I even went back for seconds! On the other hand, Western-style options were also excellent with a variety of salads and fruits; smoked bacon and potatoes; as well as 7-8 types of bread available. It was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had among hotels in Kumamoto City. There’s also a plan that includes lounge access—making this hotel perfect for both sightseeing and relaxing stays. I would love to stay here again!

    Great location and excellent service.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. The Room was clean, not overly luxurious, and very comfortable to stay in. Additionally, I enjoyed being able to take drinks, light snacks, and alcoholic beverages from the hallway area back to the Room. Being located in front of the station makes it a definite choice for my next visit to Kumamoto!

    First stay after the renovation. Completely satisfied!

    Stayed at this hotel after a long time. I was surprised to see the hotel name had changed and it had been renovated. Since it was a special occasion, I decided to go for the slightly pricier "Luxury Floor." The design was completely different from my previous stay—sophisticated and modern. Previously, the toilet and bathroom were combined, but in this room (4F), they were separate, making it feel more contemporary. The 4F floor is exclusively for those with "Luxury Floor" reservations. It even has a bar counter where you can enjoy complimentary drinks. It felt like I had stepped into an entirely different hotel! Additionally, there was a half bottle of sparkling wine quietly placed in the fridge as part of the perks—a delightful surprise (and very delicious). The breakfast venue has also been renovated while maintaining its consistently delicious taste from before. The red beef bowl was especially enjoyable! With few hotels near Kumamoto Station, this one is incredibly convenient—and its previously outdated atmosphere has completely disappeared. Highly recommend the Luxury Floor! A few points that caught my attention: - For 4F (and possibly 11F?), being on the Luxury Floor requires tapping your room key on a special elevator device; some explanation about this would have been helpful (apologies for being nitpicky). - The location of the trash bin in the room was slightly hard to find. - I couldn’t figure out how to plug up water in the sink basin properly. - Breakfast: I wish curry had been available too! Next time, I'd love to stay on 11F as well!

    The facility is retro.

    Close to Kumamoto Station, the location is very convenient for transportation. The interior of the Hotel has a rather retro feel. Breakfast is buffet style with a wide variety of dishes, including some unique to Kumamoto. The staff were kind and accommodating, gladly providing additional mineral water. The only disappointment was that there were no slippers in the Room, and the carpet in the Room had quite a few historical stains; I believe it is undergoing renovation, but it would be nice if it could be a bit cleaner.

    A lifestyle Hotel that has evolved through renovation

    I stayed for a business trip. I travel frequently for business and family trips, staying at hotels about 60-70 nights a year. - Location: Right in front of Kumamoto Station. It's reassuring even if you arrive late in Kumamoto. - Room: I stayed in a newly established room. The room I stayed in seemed to have a newly renovated bathroom with the latest facilities, featuring two double beds. It was elegantly designed and an excellent room overall. As it was a luxury-type room, it included all-you-can-drink options like chuhai and other alcoholic beverages. The style of the room required removing shoes, which suited me as I prefer to be barefoot indoors; this aspect was also appreciated. - Customer Service: This is my second stay here, and it's always wonderful. Both the restaurant staff and check-in counter staff are full of hospitality. - Dining: The breakfast restaurant venue has been renewed as well, matching the lobby's stylish atmosphere with its design. Breakfast is served buffet-style with both standard menu items and local specialties from Kumamoto balanced well; there were so many options that I ate enough to skip lunch entirely! At this price range (2000 yen), it leaves quite an impression of good value for money—there seems to be a new terrace outside too! If only it were warmer weather-wise now... dining on that terrace would surely be nice! - Satisfaction Level: There are two top-notch hotels right by the station—Blossom Hotel (Burasamu) & One Station Hotel (Wan Suteeshon Hoteru). Given One Station Hotel's high cost-performance ratio when next visiting Kumamoto again someday soon—I’d definitely consider staying here once more! They seem also offer teppanyaki & buffet dinners at night; since breakfast impressed me so much already—I might just try having dinner within their premises next time around too!

    I have been using this place for business trips since the time of "The New." The convenience and comfort have remained unchanged in a good way. I would like to continue using it in the future. I was happier with the bar ticket as a perk, though...

    I stayed on the luxury floor. The Room was unified with warm-toned wood, giving it a luxurious yet casual and relaxing atmosphere. There was a free-flow of alcohol and soft drinks on the 4th floor, and it was nice to be able to take what I liked back to the Room. I chose a breakfast-included Plan, and the variety was abundant, with everything tasting delicious! I would love to use this Hotel again when visiting Kumamoto.

    The cleaning is too sloppy...

    I heard that it would reopen in December 2024 and made a Reservation. However, the rooms were old, and perhaps due to mold and dust, my allergy-prone skin became quite irritated. The worst part was the unit bath. The drain hole was not properly cleaned, and dirty water accumulated when washing the body, which was really unpleasant..... The service and location were good, but it was not a Hotel I could confidently recommend to others.

    It was good.

    I remember it as a hotel that has been around for a long time. I stayed because it was newly renovated this time. The location is excellent, with the station and a large shopping center building right in front, making it convenient. The room and amenities are quite simple. The lobby, elevator, and restaurant were extremely luxurious → a remnant of the past? The staff's response at the front desk and restaurant was also good. I would like to use it again.

    Unable to sleep due to the noise from the outdoor unit.

    Stayed before the grand opening. The room was very clean, and it was spacious and comfortable enough for one person (reservation for two people). The hairdryer was the latest Repronizer, and the amenities were fully equipped, making the room very clean as it was new. The interior was very satisfying. However, it was a bit far from the station entrance, and since it was originally an old hotel, there were some minor concerns, but the cleanliness of the room covered everything. The only issue, which may vary by room, was that being the most corner room, the noise from the outdoor unit near the bed was loud and continuous, making it difficult to sleep. There was no staff available at midnight, leaving us unable to do anything, and we barely slept. After checking out, we were told "we're sorry," but it was an unsatisfactory resolution.

    The standard floor guest rooms and the first-floor restaurant are also stylish!

    Last time, I stayed on the luxury floor, but this time it was fully booked, so I stayed in a room on the regular lifestyle floor. Unlike the luxury floor, the tone is monochrome and simple, but there are elegant and stylish furniture and materials scattered throughout, making it very comfortable. It seems that this floor was also just renovated this November. I know the room before the renovation, and the atmosphere has changed dramatically in a good way. The TV size has increased, and the bathroom has become cleaner. The wifi speed also seems to have improved significantly... Breakfast has returned to a buffet style at the newly renovated restaurant! In addition to my favorite cutlet sandwich, there are many delicious menu items such as Kumamoto Akaushi beef bowl and Camembert cheese croquettes. There are also many Kumamoto items like Karashi Renkon. ASO MILK, which is delicious even when poured over cereal, is also available. The interior has been completely revamped, creating a stylish space. There is also a bar counter, so I would like to visit at night next time. With its good location and service, it was one of my regular stays in Kumamoto, but with the significant upgrade in facilities, I'm even more excited to visit Kumamoto!

    The best Hotel

    I stayed with my sixth-grade daughter for a 3-night, 4-day business trip combined with a family vacation. We stayed in an Executive Twin on the luxury floor. Having stayed at various hotels across the whole country and around the world, I can say that this was the most satisfying hotel stay I've ever had. It was a pre-opening, room assignment was left to the hotel, and it was 30% off the regular price, so I had no expectations at all. However, the room we stayed in was 45 square meters, very spacious and clean, and we could use the free flow. Also, the staff's response was good, not excessive service, and it was comfortable. It was so good that I wrote a review for the first time in my life.

    It's just a short wa...

    It's just a short walk from Kumamoto Station, so I often use it when I come to Kumamoto. The lobby lounge has a wonderful atmosphere like an overseas hotel, with many seats equipped with power outlets, making it easy to work. This time, I stayed on the newly renovated luxury floor. The room, with its Japanese essence and indirect lighting, felt very spacious, partly because of its nearly square shape. It felt like about 50 square meters? The bathroom area is separated into three sections, and the bathroom has a large bathtub, making it very convenient to use. Breakfast was served in the lobby lounge as the restaurant was under renovation. You can choose from a Japanese or Western plate, and salads and potatoes are served buffet style. There are also cutlet sandwiches. The Japanese plate had a wide variety of items, and I was very satisfied. The restaurant seems to be almost finished with renovations, and I could see inside from outside, giving a very stylish impression. I definitely want to try it next time.
