    It was great.

    Please continue the bus service from Odawara Station—it was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast at Nadaman, and we were happy to enjoy the same consistently delicious food as always. We hope you will keep serving this classic Japanese cuisine just as it is. We stayed in the main building, and the Room was spacious with a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Ashi, which felt great. We had a very comfortable stay. The only minor drawback is that the Onsen is a bit far, but given the building’s layout it can’t be helped, and it makes for a nice walk, so it’s fine. We would love to visit again during the colder season. Thank you very much!

    We stayed with a you...

    We stayed with a young child, and the staff kindly supported us whenever needed, making our stay very comfortable. Just walking around the beautiful Hotel and its garden was more than enough to enjoy, and it made for a truly fulfilling trip. Next time, we would love to visit with three generations of our family.

    Surrounded by nature, I was able to relax very comfortably.

    This was my first stay, and I was able to relax very comfortably. It’s away from Motohakone and surrounded by nature, with access to the lakeside as well—perfect for taking it easy. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The connecting door was a bit stiff. The hot water was excellent; you have to walk outside briefly when going from the Room to the Onsen, so I thought it might be cold, but it warmed me up thoroughly and I felt better overall. The staff were pleasant, and the meals were delicious. There was table tennis available. Overall, I think this Accommodation is more suited for adults. The free Shuttle Service bus from Odawara was convenient. Thank you very much.

    Beautiful Wintertime Mount Fuji

    Late January in Hakone. Because it was a weekday, it wasn’t too crowded. After enjoying my favorite soba, I headed to the Hotel. This is a Hotel visited by former Prime Minister Koizumi and his family, and it has also hosted summit meetings. I had always wanted to stay here someday. I arrived a little early, but they told me my Room was ready, so I was able to check in ahead of time. The corridor from the front desk was beautiful and made me excited. A young male trainee escorted me to my Room; he guided me through the Hotel carefully while still being friendly, which left a great impression. The Room was spacious with lovely colors, and it had a terrace overlooking the lake. As an IKYU Diamond member, everything in the refrigerator was complimentary. I don’t drink alcohol, so I enjoyed tea and juice instead. For the Onsen, towels were provided so there was no need to bring any—being able to go hands-free after meals was really convenient. For breakfast, I chose Nadaman. Sitting by the window with a view of Mt. Fuji while enjoying such a delicious breakfast—this was truly the best part of all. Although it was cold, I also took a walk around the garden; the pure white winter Mt. Fuji and the lake were absolutely beautiful, and the crisp air felt wonderful. All of the staff had genuinely lovely smiles, and I felt comfortable from start to finish. Another Hotel I’d definitely love to visit again has been added to my list.

    The Hotel Prince Hakone Lake Ashinoko

    I visited with my 87-year-old mother. We arrived at the Hotel in about 50 minutes on the free Shuttle Service from Odawara, which we had reserved in advance. Four young staff members welcomed us and carried our luggage. Since it was a weekday, we truly felt their hospitality. We also appreciated that they prepared a Room near the elevator for my elderly mother. The Room was spacious and comfortable as well. The Onsen was very relaxing, and I was impressed by how frequently the towels were replaced. The next morning, we decided to use the Onsen unexpectedly, so we changed our bus time. After leaving the Onsen, we realized we could still make it and changed it again; they kindly accommodated us both times, saying there was enough space available. When we left, several staff members—and even a chef—came out to see us off, and about nine people waved goodbye. It was clear how much they wanted to take care of their guests. This is one of the Hotels I would like to visit again.

    We had a very relaxing stay.

    The free shuttle bus from the Hotel made getting around easy. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The meals offered a wide variety and were delicious. The Onsen was very clean and well maintained. It was relatively uncrowded, so we could relax quietly and take our time.

    I especially love the French restaurant Le Trianon.

    It was my first stay in a while, and once again it was very comfortable. I enjoyed everything—the views of Hakone, the Onsen, and the delicious food. I especially love dinner at Trianon. It is so delicious that it makes me happy, and I feel it is rare to find something this good. Breakfast at Trianon is also outstanding. The entire menu is wonderful and very tasty, and I also appreciate that they brew siphon coffee right in front of you. The restaurant has high ceilings and a spacious feel, and you can even see Mt. Fuji through the large windows—such a lovely atmosphere. The Onsen was also very relaxing, and the open-air bath is spacious so you can soak at your leisure. I would like to visit again in a different season.

    I had a relaxing time.

    I chose this as a birthday present. For the meal, I selected the buffet, and everything was so delicious that I ended up eating too much. The Room was spacious with a great view of Lake Ashi, which made it very satisfying. The staff were very charming and welcoming, making the experience even better. I would love to visit again.

    We encourage those who have visited Hakone multiple times with the Hakone Freepass to stay and experience it further.

    First stay. Although it was a hotel and outside the free pass area, which made me hesitant to visit, I ended up being extremely satisfied. A hotel so wonderful that I almost don't want to write a review and share it with others because I want to visit again myself. The building has a nostalgic Showa-era charm, with well-maintained facilities. The view from the room, various famous spots within walking distance of the hotel—everything was delightful. The shuttle bus from Odawara and free shuttle service to Moto-Hakone Port were very convenient, and surprisingly, Hakone Shrine is within walking distance too! Even without a car, we had no trouble enjoying our stay. The staff provided clear and concise explanations while keeping us updated in real-time about any changes or situations—it was perfect for someone visiting this area for the first time. There were many families staying here as well. The sound from neighboring rooms could be heard easily but as frequent ryokan users ourselves, we found it acceptable. This is a highly recommended hotel for those who have visited Hakone multiple times using the Hakone Free Pass. I would love to visit again during another season! Thank you so much for your hospitality—I am truly grateful!

    Travel with Grandchildren

    Last year, we stayed at this favorite hotel for our October anniversary. This time, due to a sudden addition of one person for our stay with grandchildren, we booked two rooms. The Check Reservation indicated Diamond Benefits for both rooms; however, it turned out that the benefits were only applicable to one room and that the check-out times differed on the day. While we acknowledge some misunderstanding on our part, it was very disappointing despite having contacted you in advance. We believe there is an issue with the reservation display on IKYU.com and would appreciate it if you could clearly state that benefits apply to only one reserver regardless of the number of rooms booked.

    Lake view with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji!

    Same-day reservation with a lake view and a stunning view of Mt. Fuji was amazing. The onsen public bath offered a close-up view of Lake Ashi, and Mt. Fuji could be seen through the trees; the open-air bath was very relaxing. The buffet felt slightly lacking if I were to be picky. The discounts for the ropeway and Ninja accommodation were great.

    Location, Views, and French Cuisine

    We had a wonderful stay on January 2nd. The room and restaurant offered stunning views of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji, and the location was perfect for walking to the ropeway and shrine. All the staff greeted us with warm smiles. The full-service authentic French cuisine featured ingredients primarily from Kanagawa and Shizuoka, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Le Trianon was quiet during both breakfast and dinner, with excellent service. Breakfast while admiring Mt. Fuji made for an unforgettable experience. Please note that the garden in January can be very cold when windy—understandably so. Additionally, those using the shuttle service from Odawara Station during peak times should plan accordingly; due to events like marathons, it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes each way on both days of our visit. For visiting Kuzuryu Shrine, allow at least 30 minutes one way. Overall, we had a fantastic time and look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

    A lakeside accommodation for a relaxing stay

    Stayed for one night after New Year's. While the sunrise wasn't visible, the view of Mount Fuji at dawn was beautiful. The bath was at a comfortable temperature, and towels were conveniently provided in the bathing area. The meals had a good variety and were well-received by children.

    It was a very spacious Hotel.

    The Hotel consists of a Main Building and an Annex, with the Main Building divided into East and West Towers. The buildings are situated on a slope, so the first floor of the Main Building aligns with the second floor of the Annex. Whether heading to the open-air bath or dining area, be prepared for plenty of walking. For those using wheelchairs or strollers, access may be manageable, but guests who use canes or prefer slow walking should plan accordingly. It is convenient that a local bus stops right in front of the Hotel.

    Family Trip

    The room was a lake-view room in the west wing, offering a perfect view of Mt. Fuji right in front—absolutely stunning. It was a stay for three family members, and the space was necessary and sufficient. The large public bath and dining area were a bit far. Meals were served buffet-style; while the variety wasn't extensive, it was adequate and overall delicious. The roast beef and bread were particularly tasty. There were professional-grade table tennis tables and rackets available for free use. This has become one of the accommodations I’d love to visit again!

    It was my first stay in a while. The weather was great, and I enjoyed the stunning view from the room. Dinner and breakfast at Trianon were very delicious. The staff's service, characteristic of Prince Hotel, was also excellent. I would love to visit again during another season.

    It was a wonderful Hotel. The French cuisine was very delicious. The large public bath had a spacious open-air bath, which was very relaxing. The service was excellent as well.     Surrounded by nature, I was able to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay.

    It was very quiet and relaxing because there were fewer visitors from China due to the suspension of tours. I realized again that this made the biggest difference. I hope Japanese Hotels and Ryokans will seriously consider management that does not rely on inbound tourism. From the Room in the main building, we enjoyed views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi; a shrine and forest reached by motorboat; an amphibious ninja bus; a shrine reached by ropeway with an almost heavenly atmosphere; spacious, calming Onsen baths; table tennis we played many times; a delicious Nadaman lunch; in-Room dining while relaxing at our own pace; and a cake set at Yamaboshi, among other highlights. We were very satisfied.

    Excellent Location and Comfortable Stay

    The location is fantastic, with Lake Ashi right in front, and on clear days, you can enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Fuji from the balcony of your room or during a walk. The atmosphere of the building and interior was pleasant, and the rooms did not feel outdated. We had reserved a course meal at Le Trianon but had called in advance to add à la carte dishes. Despite receiving a confirmation email from the restaurant reservation team, we were surprised on the day to hear that our order was changed from an addition to a substitution for part of the course meal. Although it was clearly stated in the confirmation email, it seemed that accurate details were not communicated to the restaurant staff. This was disappointing; however, both the restaurant staff and chef handled it flexibly on-site and ultimately provided exactly what we wanted. The quality of food was outstanding—not only visually stunning but also exceeding expectations in taste—and pairing with two bottles of wine made for an exceptional experience. For breakfast, I enjoyed a Rossini-style omelet I had been looking forward to trying; although I didn’t know prior reservation was required for this dish, they still prepared it for me. The soft omelet paired perfectly with foie gras! While I knew beforehand that there would be quite some distance between our accommodation building and the Onsen facilities, I found their spacious open-air bath very enjoyable nonetheless.

    I had a relaxing time.

    We enjoyed a relaxing stay without any crowding in the Onsen, dining areas, or within the facility. Although we got a little lost, it led to some delightful discoveries. This time was just a one-night stay, but we would love to have a Multiple Night Stay next time for an even better experience. It's wonderful to enjoy Hakone's seasonal scenery right within the premises.

    A hidden gem Hotel

    I stayed in a Room in the annex, which was spacious, quiet, and offered a great view of Lake Ashi. Meals at Le Trianon were delicious with excellent service. The only downside was that the Hotel is divided into four buildings, making it quite large and somewhat inconvenient to move around within. That said, it’s still a wonderful Hotel I’d love to stay at again. For those who prefer less walking inside the Hotel, staying in the annex and dining at Lakeside Grill might be a better option.

    A beautiful Hotel located by Lake Ashi

    This was my first time staying here. It is a beautiful hotel located by the lakeside. I dined at Nadaman for both dinner and breakfast. During breakfast, I was moved by the stunning views of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji through the restaurant's windows. The building is said to be designed by a famous architect, and it feels like a castle with its gorgeous exterior and interior design. One potential downside for some might be that the hotel has separate wings, so if you are not staying in the Annex, it can take quite a walk to reach the bath area. Additionally, as this is not an Onsen Ryokan, after bathing you need to dress appropriately (suitable for going out) when heading to the restaurant instead of wearing loungewear provided inside accommodations. If these points do not bother you much, this place is highly recommended as it offers convenient access for sightseeing with a free shuttle service from Odawara Station!

    We had a great time.

    The evaluation may vary depending on the Plan you choose. I selected a Room with a lake view and the cuisine of Le Trianon, allowing me to enjoy a very luxurious and relaxing experience. The Hotel is old, but the Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with no unpleasant issues. The lakeside view right in front of me was truly beautiful as its colors changed over time. I was also curious about the Hotel's design, so I made a Reservation at its French restaurant. Despite not having high expectations, every dish exceeded my taste expectations. Next time, I would like to visit during a season when breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace.

    We had a wonderful time.

    It was raining when we arrived, but it gradually cleared up. At night, from our Lake Ashi-view Room, we could see the starry sky and the lights of mountain huts on Mt. Fuji—it was truly moving. Although it seems possible to walk to Kuzuryu Shrine from right next to the Hotel, we took a paid motorboat instead. We were able to see the beautiful Hotel building from the lake, and with the great weather it felt wonderfully refreshing. We also enjoyed nearby attractions such as the aquarium and the Komagatake Ropeway, and felt recharged. We didn’t have meals there, but after checkout we had coffee and cake at the cafe—both were delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    I would like to stay here again.

    I visited after decades. A vast property with a majestic building. An excellent location right in front of Lake Ashi. As expected from Prince Hotel, the class and scale are unmatched compared to newly built hotels these days. From the room I stayed in, I could enjoy a relaxing view of the beautiful green garden and pirate ships passing through Lake Ashi. The room was spacious and comfortable. At first, I thought it would be challenging to go back and forth between the room and the large public bath due to the distance, but after walking through the garden or learning the route, it became manageable and even good exercise. The open-air bath was spacious and very pleasant; I used it multiple times. It was also convenient that amenities and towels were fully provided. Dinner was a buffet; however, apart from roast beef and meat sushi (ordered separately), it was slightly disappointing in terms of taste and variety. Without any view, it felt more like a food court or family restaurant buffet—menu improvements are highly recommended. For breakfast, I had Nadaman's Japanese set meal which was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Enjoying this meal while overlooking Lake Ashi made for an indulgent experience. The rice porridge, salmon, cod roe, tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet), soup dishes, as well as various small side dishes were all exceptionally tasty. The staff members were all polite with attentive service—it truly lived up to expectations. I visit various hotels in Hakone every month to enjoy Onsen experiences but would definitely love to return here again someday. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Stunning view!

    I had visited for the café and meals before, but this was my first time staying at the accommodation. The architecture by Togo Murano has a dignified presence. The lake-view room had a beautiful design and offered an amazing view. The Western cuisine at Trianon was delicious both in the morning and evening! One small downside, which is common with older buildings, is that the bathroom had a slight odor. Other than that, it was perfect.

    The aging of the Facility is noticeable.

    The location is excellent, but the facility has a noticeable musty smell and shows signs of aging. In the public bath, the shower water turned cold midway, forcing me to move between booths. The Royal Breakfast was both visually appealing and delicious, providing a highly satisfying and elegant start to the day. For dinner, I chose Nadaman's Aoi Kaiseki course; however, the overall flavor was too strong, and the final Matsutake rice was dry. While the appetizer was tasty, as the course progressed, it became increasingly disappointing. As "The Prince," representing Prince Hotels' highest standard with great reviews online, my expectations were high but there was a significant gap in reality. Taking a nap on one of the deck chairs in the garden was incredibly relaxing.

    A Hotel I want to visit again!!

    I stayed at the accommodation to participate in a Segway activity. The room was very spacious, and I could enjoy an extraordinary experience with a view of Lake Ashi from the window. Although the building is old, it is well-maintained and clean, so it did not bother me. Since this was my first visit, I was unaware of various facilities like the aquarium and BBQ area within the property. Next time, I plan to research thoroughly before making a reservation. Dinner was served as a buffet, offering delicious dishes worthy of a hotel. For breakfast, I enjoyed traditional Japanese cuisine at Nadaman, which conveyed careful attention to detail in its flavors. The open-air bath in the large public bath area was very spacious and provided a great sense of openness. There were many international guests; however, they adhered to proper manners—perhaps thanks to thorough information provided by the hotel staff. All staff members were friendly and made my stay relaxing. The facility is so vast that one could easily get lost inside; however, maps are available throughout the premises, and staff members kindly approached me when they noticed I seemed unsure about directions. One suggestion: It would be wonderful if you could organize something like a "Tour Guide for Togo Murano's Architectural Masterpiece." While I read through your guestroom introduction pamphlet during my stay, having guidance on specific architectural highlights would be greatly appreciated!
