    Seto no Yu is the best.

    I chose this Accommodation because it offers a Shuttle Service from Hiroshima Station, and I wanted to stay while enjoying an ocean view. I stayed on the 16th floor, and the view was excellent. The Room has only the essentials, but the amenities are provided properly, so it’s a better choice than staying at a Business Hotel near the station. Seto-no-Yu is a wonderful Onsen and was very relaxing.

    It was very convenient to access Itsukushima Shrine!

    I stayed here because I wanted to visit Itsukushima Shrine. The high-speed ferry departs from the Hotel, which was far more efficient than other routes—great! I stayed as a Diamond member. I booked a club floor Room, and they upgraded me. The night view from the top floor was beautiful, and I was happy to find snacks and tea prepared in the Room. The Onsen was very crowded, but there was also an open-air bath, and it helped me relax and recover from fatigue. There were a few disappointing points. At check-in, I lined up at the club floor–exclusive counter while looking at the long line for regular check-in. However, the guest ahead of us seemed to have many requests, so we waited a long time. When it finally became our turn, the staff member seemed still affected by that situation—tense and intimidating—and spoke very quickly, which left a bad impression. It was disappointing that this happened at my first check-in. The Room was 26 m² and reasonably spacious, but it looked like housekeeping had missed some details: the toilet paper roll was left hanging without being folded; the bathtub drain stopper was in place with a little water left in it; and the tissue box was packed so tightly that I couldn’t pull any tissues out. After checkout, I asked how to take the free shuttle bus back. I was told to wait outside by a signboard area. I went there but couldn’t stand the heat and came back inside. My partner muttered “That’s unbelievable,” which made me laugh. These days many hotels let you check in/out while seated on sofas and offer drinks as well—I often stay at places like that. It’s not fair to compare them directly with a large Hotel like this one, but since chairs like banquet seating were lined up in the lobby, it felt like such an elegant entrance area wasn’t being used to its full potential. Adding comfortable sofas might be nice. Maybe my expectations were too high because this is known as a Hotel that hosted summit-related events, but there were several small things that stood out. Still, access to Itsukushima Shrine is excellent—so if I visit again next time, knowing what to expect should make it fine for me.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the pool.

    Thank you for taking care of us during our family trip over the Obon holidays. Every dish at the Nadaman dinner was delicious, and we were very satisfied. We also enjoyed using the pool both on the day of our stay and the following day.

    I was satisfied, so I will stay again.

    I stayed in a Premier Twin on the Club Floor while traveling back to my parents’ home. The day before, I had stayed at a Hotel in Kobe and traveled after having brunch, but I checked in during afternoon tea time and enjoyed drinks, desserts, and snacks. I don’t drink alcohol, but I was so satisfied with afternoon tea that I also used the lounge during evening cocktail time. The hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks were more than enough for me. After reading Reviews, it seemed some guests go to both breakfast at the restaurant and then breakfast in the lounge, so I had a light breakfast at the restaurant and also used the lounge breakfast. The lounge breakfast included my favorite prosciutto as well as high-quality bottled apple juice that I love, so I was able to fully enjoy both breakfasts. Everyone on staff was very pleasant; in particular, all of the lounge staff were friendly and kind, which made the lounge even more enjoyable. Usually on trips home I stay only at a Hotel in Kobe both ways, but I’m glad I chose Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima this time. In a few days, I will stay again. However, one thing was disappointing: at check-out there is a separate line for Club Floor guests, but this wasn’t explained at check-in. So we waited in the regular check-out line for quite a long time. When there were only two people ahead of us, my daughter noticed and we moved to the Club Floor check-out line. We even said it felt like boarding an airplane with separate lines—so we wished it had been explained when we checked in. That was very unfortunate.

    Your Regular Accommodation in Hiroshima

    Arriving early and relaxing in the lounge is wonderful. The parking lot is spacious and easy to park in. Since it was during the Obon holiday period, there were many guests staying.

    I stay here every year.

    When I return to my hometown, I stay here with my family. I always look forward to the buffet breakfast while enjoying the view of the Seto Inland Sea from the top-floor dining area. The staff are kind, and it’s always comfortable. Three small disappointments: During the Obon holiday period, we had to wait in line for 30 minutes to check out. We were mistakenly charged due to a billing error. The sleepwear smelled of sweat and couldn’t be used. This was the first time anything like this happened, but overall we are satisfied. We would like to stay here again.

    During the busy summ...

    During the busy summer holiday season, there were clearly not enough staff, and no one answered the phone at the front desk no matter how many times I called, so having to go to the front desk in person was frustrating. The Onsen is nice, but it was far too crowded. Breakfast was also extremely crowded. The Facility and services are good, but it feels like they are not being fully utilized.

    Great view

    If you accept that this Hotel offers a scenic stay away from the city’s hustle and bustle, you will be more than satisfied. The service is streamlined with no unnecessary extras, giving it the light, efficient feel of staying at a functional Business Hotel. I did not use it myself, but ferries to Miyajima depart directly from the Hotel, which should be extremely convenient for anyone planning to visit Miyajima.

    The view of the Shimanami from the Hotel is spectacular!

    Thank you very much for your kind support during our stay. This was our first time staying here, and we used it as an Accommodation for my daughter the night before her certification exam. [Room & Amenities] This time, we made a Reservation for the “Standard Triple,” but I believe we were upgraded to the “Standard Panorama View Room.” The Room was spacious—53 m² instead of 26 m²—with a twin-bed bedroom and ample space including a sofa. Complimentary mineral water was also provided, which was very helpful. As it has been 32 years since opening, there is some sense of age. [Service] The front desk staff were excellent. After check-in, we took our private car in and out several times, so having the parking fee charged per stay (per night) was especially helpful. [Onsen / Bath] The in-room bath by the window was wonderful—we could enjoy the view while soaking in the tub. However, although there is a shower room, there is also a sink inside the bathroom area; when moving from the tub to the shower room, the floor gets wet, which felt inconvenient. [Facility] While there is some age to the Facility overall, everything was kept clean. [Meals] The view from the breakfast venue was outstanding. The food was pleasantly tasty. [Overall Satisfaction] Overall, we were satisfied. We would like to stay here again next time we visit Hiroshima.

    Family Trip

    This was my first trip to Hiroshima in a while from Osaka, and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. They upgraded me to a corner Room, and I was truly satisfied to be able to enjoy both the sunset and sunrise over the Seto Inland Sea. Thank you very much.

    Spectacular Views

    Perhaps it was a Diamond member perk, but they prepared a Room for us on the top floor, and on the ocean side—the view was amazing! The Onsen felt crowded late at night, but at other times we could relax and enjoy it. The lounge had a calm atmosphere with just the right level of service, making it very comfortable. The buffet venue was not great. The ochazuke was tasty, but it wasn’t a place where you could really unwind. I recommend Nadaman’s Japanese cuisine instead. It would be even better if you can use the lounge before and after: have salad, cold meats, and an aperitif first, then enjoy the Japanese breakfast, and afterward go back to the lounge for coffee and sweet pastries—overall satisfaction will be very high. The buffet venue was extremely crowded, but we didn’t notice any crowding in the lounge or other areas. Above all, this price with lounge access is unbelievably good value. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

    A Trip to Celebrate My Parents’ Golden Wedding Anniversary

    We stayed as a group of four to celebrate my parents’ golden wedding anniversary trip. It was everyone’s first time staying in a suite! When you open the door, there’s a long hallway that immediately builds anticipation. Doors to the living room, an additional room, and the bathroom line the corridor, and the excitement each time we opened one is a memory we’ll cherish for life! The living room curtains opened and closed at the touch of a button, and we were amazed by the view from the window. I’m not sure if it was because we mentioned it was for a golden wedding anniversary celebration, but there were gifts placed on the table. The bedroom in the separate room also had a wonderful view, and in the bathroom’s view bath we enjoyed soaking while looking at the harbor night scenery. It became a wonderful memory for my parents as well, and I’m glad we chose this Hotel. It was truly disappointing that our stay was so short due to our travel schedule, but it was an experience that made us want to make staying at this Hotel our main purpose next time! Thank you very much.

    Stayed for a family trip We really wanted a Room with a view bath, so four of us stayed—two adults and two 6th-grade elementary school children. We were able to relax while looking out over the Seto Inland Sea both from the Room and from the bath. The Room had bottled water for each guest, plus one bag of lemon squid tempura snacks prepared for us. Because we could use the Diamond member benefits, we were also able to use the Onsen for free, which made it a great value and we were very satisfied with our stay. All of the staff were wonderful as well. A couple of minor points: understandably, parts of the property felt a bit dated, and one of the curtain hooks in the Room had come off, leaving the curtain hanging down. With two beds and two sofa beds, some guests may find the living area cramped. It would be fine for two people, but with four people including two 6th graders, it felt a little tight. There’s no doubt it was a very good stay overall, so if you’re considering staying at this Hotel, I’d recommend giving it a try at least once!

    Wonderful Hotel

    I have stayed at this Hotel several times on business trips to Hiroshima. Although it is a bit far from the station and downtown, it is a wonderful Hotel for relaxing. The view from the bathroom in the Room is also fantastic through the window. Of course, the Onsen is excellent in both water quality and scenery; it would be perfect if there were also a dry sauna. For breakfast, I use Nadaman. The top-floor buffet is always crowded, and the food doesn’t suit my taste. Nadaman, which I visit every time, offers outstanding flavor and quality.

    Second Stay

    Last year, we enjoyed our first Multiple Night Stay on the club floor. This year again, we fully enjoyed the Club Lounge and the Onsen, and even had beer and wine from the morning in the Club Lounge. At afternoon tea, there was a wide selection of alcohol—gin, whisky, sake, wine, beer, Kirin Hyoketsu, etc.—truly paradise for a couple who loves drinks. We also enjoyed the sweets. You can take the shuttle bus to Hiroshima Station; this time we used the Hiroshima Bus right next to the Hotel and reached Peace Memorial Park in about 30 minutes with no transfers. Above all, we were thrilled with our room upgrade this time. Thank you very much.

    What a waste.

    This Hotel has wonderful Facilities and is always enjoyable. This time, however, the reception was so thorough that a long line formed. Having to wait in line for so long unfortunately lowered my impression of the service. I hope check-in can be made smoother.

    The Perfect Birthday Plan

    My daughter and I stayed here to celebrate each other’s birthdays. We were upgraded to a spacious Room with views of both the sea and the mountains, and we were happy to relax and truly enjoy our time. We also visited the lounge on the same floor, where we enjoyed a generous selection of alcoholic drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres plates. We can’t wait to come back again.

    A Satisfying Hotel

    I stayed here for business. The Room has some older areas, but it was well cleaned and I had a comfortable stay. Breakfast on the top floor with a great view did not have a huge variety, but it was very satisfying. The bath was not very large, but there was also an open-air bath, which was very relaxing. Thank you.

    The breakfast buffet, the views, and the Onsen are all excellent.

    The dinner buffet felt geared toward international guests; there was no fresh fish, which was a bit disappointing. However, the night view from Top of Hiroshima is outstanding. For the Onsen, towels are provided on the Onsen floor, so you can use it without bringing anything. The breakfast buffet included sea bream, conger eel, and okonomiyaki, and really captured the spirit of Hiroshima. The staff were kind and courteous. I would like to stay again. Next time, I’d also like to take a cruise from the pier right in front of the hotel to Kure or Miyajima. I took photos at the summit venue.

    The staff were kind....

    The staff were kind. The Facility and Room feel a bit dated. I used the large public bath, and it was spacious and nice. I wish the bus back to the Hotel from the city ran a little later. Overall, it was good.

    I was gazing absentmindedly at the boats and the island.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay again. 　I usually go out for a walk, but this time I sat on the shore and watched the passing ships and islands for over an hour. I also looked them up online to learn more about them, which gave me some fascinating knowledge. 　I was able to relax again this time. Thank you very much.

    I love this place and keep coming back.

    IKYU’s Diamond Member services are exceptionally wonderful, and I’m always grateful for their support. The Onsen is available, the Room offers outstanding views, and the service is excellent. There is also a shuttle bus to the station, so even though it’s away from the city center, it doesn’t feel inconvenient. This is a Hotel I want to visit again. Once you stay here, you’ll be hooked. I will definitely come back.

    It was great to be a...

    It was great to be able to access Miyajima from the pier right in front of the Accommodation. We were able to enjoy Miyajima before it got crowded, and return early to soothe our fatigue in the Onsen. You can also enjoy an ocean view from the Room, and all of the staff were very pleasant—truly a comfortable stay. We would love to stay again.\nThe oyster omelet at breakfast was outstanding—not only did it have wonderful oyster flavor, but the eggs themselves were fragrant and perfectly fluffy!

    The view is wonderful, and being able to take a morning walk along the coast is the best. The breakfast and the Onsen were, of course, excellent with nothing to complain about. However, both USB ports by the bed in the guest room were broken. Charging cables were provided, but they were useless without working ports. Also, it felt very dark around the window-side sofa and the table area. Other than that, everything was great.

    Enjoy the view.

    Top-floor Room with an open-air bath and a seaside view from the window—thanks to the great weather, it was absolutely wonderful. We also enjoyed hearing stories from the staff about the summit that was held here, which made our stay even more enjoyable. In addition, there was an extra event where we could watch a cruise ship arriving at the port early in the morning from our Room window.
