It was a relaxing stay.
The ocean view from the glass-walled room was truly wonderful, and we were able to relax and enjoy the lounge at our leisure. We also unwound in the oceanfront bathroom both in the evening and in the morning. Of course, we used the hot spring as well, and were able to enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi without worrying about time, leaving us feeling refreshed.

A surprisingly great hotel for sightseeing in Miyajima
Thank you very much for your hospitality. This was our second stay, and as last time, we used the hotel for an overnight stay before my daughter’s certification exam. [Room & Amenities] On our previous stay, we were upgraded to a “Standard Panorama View Room,” and because it was a spacious 53 m² room, my wife and daughter really liked it. This time, we stayed in the “Setouchi Resort Floor Junior Suite.” It had a twin-bed bedroom and plenty of space with a sofa and more. We also appreciated the complimentary mineral water. As the hotel has been open for 32 years, there is some sense of age. [Service] The front desk staff were excellent. After check-in, we took our car in and out several times, so the per-stay parking fee was very helpful. While my daughter was taking her exam, my wife and I decided to visit Miyajima together for the first time in about 30 years. The high-speed boat departs from the hotel’s pier, so access was very convenient. [Hot Spring / Bath] The bath in our room on the 15th floor had a wonderful view, making it very relaxing to soak in the tub. Last time we had a northwest-facing room, and this time a northeast-facing room three months later—next time I’d like to stay in a south-facing room. [Facilities] The facilities show some age but were well maintained and clean. It was also nice to see the roundtable used at the G7 Hiroshima Summit in 2023. [Dining] The view from the breakfast venue was outstanding. The food was simply delicious. Since it was our stay on the first day of a three-day weekend, the top-floor breakfast venue was already full by 7:30. [Overall Satisfaction] Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. We would like to use this hotel again when staying in Hiroshima next time.

A truly wonderful hotel.
A truly wonderful hotel. Depending on the time of day, there can be some waiting at check-in and check-out, but the front desk staff were very helpful and the process went smoothly. We stayed on the Club Floor and used the club lounge. The light meals were delicious, and the staff provided attentive service while keeping a comfortable distance, so we were able to relax and enjoy our time there. The food was excellent as well. We had breakfast at the buffet restaurant on the 23rd floor. There were carts that allowed you to move around with your tray while selecting dishes, so even my elderly mother, who has limited use of her left hand, was able to enjoy the buffet. There was a wide variety of dishes, including Hiroshima specialties, and everything was very tasty. The staff here also provided excellent service with lovely smiles, making it a pleasant experience. This time, we also received a room upgrade as an Ikkyu member benefit. We were able to stay in a spacious and beautiful room; however, it was disappointing to find hair from a previous guest on the chest of drawers and trash such as a plastic bottle cap left on the bar counter—it felt like housekeeping had not been thorough. We also used the hot spring spa facilities on the 3rd floor. Since it is small, it can get crowded depending on the time of day and may not be very relaxing. It was convenient that you can check how busy it is online. The hot spring itself felt great. The staff’s hospitality made our stay very comfortable overall, so I would like to stay here again.

We had an amazing time.
We stayed to celebrate our grandchild’s 10th birthday and to treat our daughter-in-law, who works hard at both her job and raising children. It was a quick trip, but the weather was great, and with an amazing location and outstanding hospitality, we had a truly satisfying time. We really appreciated the room upgrade and the club lounge where children were welcome even for nightcaps, and we hope to visit again someday. It was a stay we are sincerely grateful for. Thank you very much.

The view was wonderful.
I was anxious because I didn’t receive a reply to my questions at the time of booking, but aside from that, we were shown so much kindness. Thanks to everyone, we had a wonderful trip. In any case, the view from the room was breathtaking. The two of us watched the sunrise while brushing our teeth, looked out at large ships, and enjoyed a relaxed, happy time watching ferries come and go below. Also, ferries to Miyajima and Onomichi depart right in front of the hotel, so with everyone’s help we were able to sightsee efficiently together with my mother in a wheelchair. The bathtub is shallow and it was quite difficult to stand up in it, so we used a care chair and only used the shower. It was disappointing but unavoidable. You also provided a blood pressure monitor, which allowed us to manage our health every day. Thank you very much. Also, the person who helped carry our suitcase lent us a doorstopper, which made moving around with the wheelchair smooth—it truly helped us so much. Every time we returned to our room it was always clean and comfortable. We sincerely appreciate everyone at the hotel, including the restaurant staff. Thank you very much. As an aside: there was such a strong doorman that I thought if he could assist someone in standing up from a taxi he’d be worth his weight in gold—haha. Thank you again for all your help.

Enjoy a relaxing Hotel stay this Silver Week!
This Silver Week, my wife and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima. Since we had a dinner Plan, we were able to dine calmly at the first-floor restaurant. Breakfast was at Nadaman; the buffet-style service was extremely crowded with long waits, and those choosing Western dishes likely had to wait quite a while. When there are this many guests, I think it would help avoid congestion if meal time slots were set in advance at check-in. I hope the Hotel will consider improving this process.

Don’t rely too much on Summit.
The Facility has great potential, but the Room air conditioner was covered in dust, there was black grime in the bathroom, and the Nadaman breakfast was average with an underwhelming buffet. The hospitality was disappointing and below standard.

Since it was a weekd...
Since it was a weekday right after the start of summer vacation, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was quite crowded. The lounge was very busy, and since it isn’t particularly spacious and the ceilings aren’t very high, I felt a bit mindful of those around me. It was disappointing that there was no upgrade for Diamond members, but the Hotel itself was clean and nice. The Room seemed to be carefully cleaned, which I appreciated, but when I used the shower I could see black mold under the edge of the bathtub and around the drain. I understand it may be difficult due to time constraints, but I would like this to be cleaned more thoroughly. The view was excellent and made me feel great in the morning. The breakfast buffet didn’t have anything particularly noteworthy, which was a bit disappointing.

The club lounge was excellent.
I was truly impressed by the staff’s attentive service, especially as I have certain dietary restrictions due to medication. I would definitely like to stay again with Club Lounge access. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the view was outstanding.

Highly satisfied!
We stayed for one night on our way back from a trip to Kyushu, and it was our first visit. The front lobby was very spacious, and the design—almost like a surrounding corridor—felt truly luxurious. With its seaside location, we could see the ocean from our Room, and there were many children enjoying the on-site pool. As an IKYU Diamond member benefit, we received access cards to the club floor and ended up using it twice. The club floor was also an exceptionally refined space with outstanding views, offering both table seating and sofa areas. A wide selection of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks was generously provided, so you could easily spend the whole day there enjoying drinks. There were also many well-seasoned, elegant guests who seemed like regulars, and even as a couple who rarely visits club floors, we enjoyed it thoroughly. The large public bath had wonderfully soothing saline water that completely relieved our travel fatigue. Next time, we’d love to stay longer for a more relaxing getaway. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us!

Perfect for a girls’ trip
We stayed here for a girls’ trip. It was a Plan with breakfast included and no dinner. There was a summer sale Plan that included lounge access, so we were able to stay at a great value. The lounge offered drinks and light snacks, and we could relax and chat at length—it was a very fulfilling time. It was my first time using a Hotel lounge, and it was wonderful. The Room was spacious with great views, and we enjoyed beautiful scenery both at night and in the morning. Since there was an Onsen, we didn’t use the in-room bath, but the view from the Room’s bathtub looked fantastic. The Setouchi bath was also very pleasant and relaxing. The bath amenities were well stocked, so there’s no need to bring makeup remover or towels—you can go empty-handed. However, it gets crowded at night, so you may need to adjust your timing. At the breakfast buffet, there were Hiroshima specialties such as oyster omelets, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and anago rice (conger eel over rice). The selection was extensive, and we left completely full. All of the Hotel staff were very friendly as well, making our stay comfortable throughout. If possible, I would have loved to stay one more night.

Seto no Yu is the best.
I chose this Accommodation because it offers a Shuttle Service from Hiroshima Station, and I wanted to stay while enjoying an ocean view. I stayed on the 16th floor, and the view was excellent. The Room has only the essentials, but the amenities are provided properly, so it’s a better choice than staying at a Business Hotel near the station. Seto-no-Yu is a wonderful Onsen and was very relaxing.

It was very convenient to access Itsukushima Shrine!
I stayed here because I wanted to visit Itsukushima Shrine. The high-speed ferry departs from the Hotel, which was far more efficient than other routes—great! I stayed as a Diamond member. I booked a club floor Room, and they upgraded me. The night view from the top floor was beautiful, and I was happy to find snacks and tea prepared in the Room. The Onsen was very crowded, but there was also an open-air bath, and it helped me relax and recover from fatigue. There were a few disappointing points. At check-in, I lined up at the club floor–exclusive counter while looking at the long line for regular check-in. However, the guest ahead of us seemed to have many requests, so we waited a long time. When it finally became our turn, the staff member seemed still affected by that situation—tense and intimidating—and spoke very quickly, which left a bad impression. It was disappointing that this happened at my first check-in. The Room was 26 m² and reasonably spacious, but it looked like housekeeping had missed some details: the toilet paper roll was left hanging without being folded; the bathtub drain stopper was in place with a little water left in it; and the tissue box was packed so tightly that I couldn’t pull any tissues out. After checkout, I asked how to take the free shuttle bus back. I was told to wait outside by a signboard area. I went there but couldn’t stand the heat and came back inside. My partner muttered “That’s unbelievable,” which made me laugh. These days many hotels let you check in/out while seated on sofas and offer drinks as well—I often stay at places like that. It’s not fair to compare them directly with a large Hotel like this one, but since chairs like banquet seating were lined up in the lobby, it felt like such an elegant entrance area wasn’t being used to its full potential. Adding comfortable sofas might be nice. Maybe my expectations were too high because this is known as a Hotel that hosted summit-related events, but there were several small things that stood out. Still, access to Itsukushima Shrine is excellent—so if I visit again next time, knowing what to expect should make it fine for me.

We thoroughly enjoyed the pool.
Thank you for taking care of us during our family trip over the Obon holidays. Every dish at the Nadaman dinner was delicious, and we were very satisfied. We also enjoyed using the pool both on the day of our stay and the following day.

I was satisfied, so I will stay again.
I stayed in a Premier Twin on the Club Floor while traveling back to my parents’ home. The day before, I had stayed at a Hotel in Kobe and traveled after having brunch, but I checked in during afternoon tea time and enjoyed drinks, desserts, and snacks. I don’t drink alcohol, but I was so satisfied with afternoon tea that I also used the lounge during evening cocktail time. The hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks were more than enough for me. After reading Reviews, it seemed some guests go to both breakfast at the restaurant and then breakfast in the lounge, so I had a light breakfast at the restaurant and also used the lounge breakfast. The lounge breakfast included my favorite prosciutto as well as high-quality bottled apple juice that I love, so I was able to fully enjoy both breakfasts. Everyone on staff was very pleasant; in particular, all of the lounge staff were friendly and kind, which made the lounge even more enjoyable. Usually on trips home I stay only at a Hotel in Kobe both ways, but I’m glad I chose Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima this time. In a few days, I will stay again. However, one thing was disappointing: at check-out there is a separate line for Club Floor guests, but this wasn’t explained at check-in. So we waited in the regular check-out line for quite a long time. When there were only two people ahead of us, my daughter noticed and we moved to the Club Floor check-out line. We even said it felt like boarding an airplane with separate lines—so we wished it had been explained when we checked in. That was very unfortunate.

Your Regular Accommodation in Hiroshima
Arriving early and relaxing in the lounge is wonderful. The parking lot is spacious and easy to park in. Since it was during the Obon holiday period, there were many guests staying.

I stay here every year.
When I return to my hometown, I stay here with my family. I always look forward to the buffet breakfast while enjoying the view of the Seto Inland Sea from the top-floor dining area. The staff are kind, and it’s always comfortable. Three small disappointments: During the Obon holiday period, we had to wait in line for 30 minutes to check out. We were mistakenly charged due to a billing error. The sleepwear smelled of sweat and couldn’t be used. This was the first time anything like this happened, but overall we are satisfied. We would like to stay here again.

During the busy summ...
During the busy summer holiday season, there were clearly not enough staff, and no one answered the phone at the front desk no matter how many times I called, so having to go to the front desk in person was frustrating. The Onsen is nice, but it was far too crowded. Breakfast was also extremely crowded. The Facility and services are good, but it feels like they are not being fully utilized.

Great view
If you accept that this Hotel offers a scenic stay away from the city’s hustle and bustle, you will be more than satisfied. The service is streamlined with no unnecessary extras, giving it the light, efficient feel of staying at a functional Business Hotel. I did not use it myself, but ferries to Miyajima depart directly from the Hotel, which should be extremely convenient for anyone planning to visit Miyajima.

The view of the Shimanami from the Hotel is spectacular!
Thank you very much for your kind support during our stay. This was our first time staying here, and we used it as an Accommodation for my daughter the night before her certification exam. [Room & Amenities] This time, we made a Reservation for the “Standard Triple,” but I believe we were upgraded to the “Standard Panorama View Room.” The Room was spacious—53 m² instead of 26 m²—with a twin-bed bedroom and ample space including a sofa. Complimentary mineral water was also provided, which was very helpful. As it has been 32 years since opening, there is some sense of age. [Service] The front desk staff were excellent. After check-in, we took our private car in and out several times, so having the parking fee charged per stay (per night) was especially helpful. [Onsen / Bath] The in-room bath by the window was wonderful—we could enjoy the view while soaking in the tub. However, although there is a shower room, there is also a sink inside the bathroom area; when moving from the tub to the shower room, the floor gets wet, which felt inconvenient. [Facility] While there is some age to the Facility overall, everything was kept clean. [Meals] The view from the breakfast venue was outstanding. The food was pleasantly tasty. [Overall Satisfaction] Overall, we were satisfied. We would like to stay here again next time we visit Hiroshima.

Family Trip
This was my first trip to Hiroshima in a while from Osaka, and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. They upgraded me to a corner Room, and I was truly satisfied to be able to enjoy both the sunset and sunrise over the Seto Inland Sea. Thank you very much.

Spectacular Views
Perhaps it was a Diamond member perk, but they prepared a Room for us on the top floor, and on the ocean side—the view was amazing! The Onsen felt crowded late at night, but at other times we could relax and enjoy it. The lounge had a calm atmosphere with just the right level of service, making it very comfortable. The buffet venue was not great. The ochazuke was tasty, but it wasn’t a place where you could really unwind. I recommend Nadaman’s Japanese cuisine instead. It would be even better if you can use the lounge before and after: have salad, cold meats, and an aperitif first, then enjoy the Japanese breakfast, and afterward go back to the lounge for coffee and sweet pastries—overall satisfaction will be very high. The buffet venue was extremely crowded, but we didn’t notice any crowding in the lounge or other areas. Above all, this price with lounge access is unbelievably good value. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

A Trip to Celebrate My Parents’ Golden Wedding Anniversary
We stayed as a group of four to celebrate my parents’ golden wedding anniversary trip. It was everyone’s first time staying in a suite! When you open the door, there’s a long hallway that immediately builds anticipation. Doors to the living room, an additional room, and the bathroom line the corridor, and the excitement each time we opened one is a memory we’ll cherish for life! The living room curtains opened and closed at the touch of a button, and we were amazed by the view from the window. I’m not sure if it was because we mentioned it was for a golden wedding anniversary celebration, but there were gifts placed on the table. The bedroom in the separate room also had a wonderful view, and in the bathroom’s view bath we enjoyed soaking while looking at the harbor night scenery. It became a wonderful memory for my parents as well, and I’m glad we chose this Hotel. It was truly disappointing that our stay was so short due to our travel schedule, but it was an experience that made us want to make staying at this Hotel our main purpose next time! Thank you very much.

Stayed for a family trip We really wanted a Room with a view bath, so four of us stayed—two adults and two 6th-grade elementary school children. We were able to relax while looking out over the Seto Inland Sea both from the Room and from the bath. The Room had bottled water for each guest, plus one bag of lemon squid tempura snacks prepared for us. Because we could use the Diamond member benefits, we were also able to use the Onsen for free, which made it a great value and we were very satisfied with our stay. All of the staff were wonderful as well. A couple of minor points: understandably, parts of the property felt a bit dated, and one of the curtain hooks in the Room had come off, leaving the curtain hanging down. With two beds and two sofa beds, some guests may find the living area cramped. It would be fine for two people, but with four people including two 6th graders, it felt a little tight. There’s no doubt it was a very good stay overall, so if you’re considering staying at this Hotel, I’d recommend giving it a try at least once!
