A Supreme Moment with Your Loved One

Used for day use. Check-in was crowded due to the inbound boom, but they kindly considered our request for a Tokyo Tower view made during the Reservation, which made my companion very happy! Thank you so much. Thanks to you, we created wonderful memories!

    The customer service was unpleasant.

When booking through IKYU, we reserved for 2 adults and 1 infant (with bedding). However, at check-in, the staff coldly stated that the reservation was for 3 adults. When we showed them the IKYU reservation details (indicating 2 adults and 1 infant with bedding on the receipt), they responded dismissively with "Oh, because of the bedding? I see," without any explanation or apology before proceeding with check-in. In the room, amenities were unsatisfactory as a used towel from a previous guest was found between sofa cushions, which was unpleasant. Additionally, when ordering room service for our family and placing a larger order than usual, we were questioned by staff saying "This seems like quite a lot; are you sure?" This indirect comment implied over-ordering or overeating and felt disrespectful. The amount ordered was appropriate for our family and entirely consumed. After bathing in the room, my wife attempted to use the hairdryer but found that its plug was bent and unusable. We had to contact housekeeping late at night to have it replaced. From check-in onwards, there was no sense of hospitality throughout our stay. It was an unpleasant experience overall in this hotel that we would never want to visit again.

    There was some confusion.

This was my first stay since the renovation. First, the bathroom had a deep bathtub and a separate washing area, making it a relaxing space. However, regarding amenities: While items like toothbrushes and hairbrushes were neatly placed in an elegant wooden box, I couldn't find cleansing products, face wash, lotion, or body towels. Fortunately, I had brought my own cleansing set from home. Are cleansing products not provided from the start? Also, the hairdryer was stored in a drawer under the luggage rack along with laundry bags. I assumed it would be near the bathroom and had to search for it. There were no tissues in the room either; when I called reception about this, they informed me there was only one tissue box available in the bathroom. As for the club room: I joined someone using it and enjoyed tea there. Later on that day—about 30 minutes after breakfast service ended—I visited alone while waiting to meet someone else but felt unnoticed by staff despite sitting down as they busily cleaned up around me without acknowledging my presence or taking any drink orders for 20 minutes. Eventually, a manager noticed me and kindly assisted with a smile which finally put me at ease. I understand it may have been during busy hours; however even just one word of acknowledgment would have been appreciated when sitting alone without any drinks. Regarding our room itself: It featured larger daybeds/sofas compared to pre-renovation rooms which significantly enhanced comfort levels. Overall though we found relaxation within our accommodation—thank you!

    Surprisingly good

This was my first stay with club lounge access. I planned to charge my plug-in hybrid car, but the charging location was hard to find. There is an outlet branching from a Tesla charger, but there were no signs, making it impossible to locate for a first-timer. When I asked about the location at check-in, I was told to ask the parking lot manager, but there was no manager present. Still, I greatly appreciated being able to charge for free. The parking lot allows free entry and exit, which I only learned after checking in—this information would have been helpful beforehand for planning purposes. The club lounge offers great views despite some angles being obstructed by surrounding high-rise buildings; it felt very pleasant overall. The room was spacious enough with simple decor that I liked. The firm mattress on the bed suited my preference well. However, perhaps due to changing times, there were fewer amenities than expected—I had been looking forward to solid soap but didn’t find any. On a positive note, TWG tea was delicious and much appreciated along with the pressing service. The lounge’s afternoon tea and desserts were all tasty; adding options like Japanese sweets or matcha would make it even better. During cocktail time, sushi was a nice touch though the robot-made rice wasn’t very good. For breakfast at Cascade Café, there were plenty of options which made it enjoyable—there was tuna sushi here too but again the rice wasn’t great. The bread also wasn’t particularly tasty; however, the live kitchen’s Eggs Benedict featured luxurious ingredients and stood out positively! The apples served were sweet and incredibly delicious. Unfortunately due to rain this time around we couldn’t go out using rental bicycles—but if given another chance in better weather conditions—I’d love exploring various attractions using this accommodation as my base!

It was a great place to relax.

The room had only a shower. I thought it was creatively designed, but the washroom space was quite narrow and slightly inconvenient to use. It was a Club Lounge Access Plan. The lounge seemed to have been renovated, and I still found it excellent as always. However, despite not being very crowded, it took quite some time for set menus and alcoholic beverages to arrive after ordering. I even considered skipping another drink because of the wait time. It would be nice if guests could prepare some items themselves like in regular lounges. For breakfast, I used Cascade, and the variety and quality of dishes were outstanding. I fully utilized my Diamond Member benefits, which made me wonder if there are any other facilities offering such exceptional perks. While I was truly satisfied overall, here are a few points I noticed: There were no amenity sets provided in the room; The steak rice bowl ordered via room service had overcooked meat that made it tough and less enjoyable—though considering its low price or perhaps due to summer conditions, this might be understandable. Still, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this large urban Hotel! I hope this Hotel continues to exceed expectations in the future as well!

Perhaps it's because it's the last week of summer vacation...

The Club Floor Lounge was surprisingly crowded. It took about 30 minutes to check in, but I was recommended the afternoon tea and enjoyed a luxurious time. When I tried to place an order by speaking to the lounge staff, I was asked to speak in English, which made me think, "This is a hotel in Japan..." While I managed with English, it was a bit disappointing that communication in Japanese wasn't always effective and it felt like the service wasn't tailored for Japanese guests. That said, the service quality is high at this Hotel, so I would like to stay here again.

Why was turndown service not provided?

Since we did not dine within the hotel, our meal rating is based on the lounge experience. In the lounge, drinks are ordered individually, and it took quite a long time for them to arrive. At check-in, we requested a specific time for turndown service; however, after spending cocktail time in the lounge and going out before returning later, turndown service had not been completed. Perhaps it was overlooked due to the large number of guests. We didn’t bother calling as it seemed inconvenient but wanted water replenishment and towel replacement. The 35th-floor lounge felt cramped with narrow spaces between seats, making it hard to relax. However, having Akasaka Ark Hills next door was very convenient.

All my favorite places were within a 3,000 yen taxi range, and the location was excellent! The Hotel was perfect in every aspect I value: cleanliness, relaxation, and views. Looking forward to staying again. Thank you very much!

We believe this is a good Hotel, so we will provide feedback with a critical perspective.

I stayed here several times during its ANA Hotel days, but this was my first stay in a while (though I often used it for dining). I have experienced the Club InterContinental in Hong Kong, but this was my first time domestically. In that sense, I was looking forward to it. In conclusion, upon entering the room, the air conditioning was set to "heating." When I tried to use the room phone to contact the concierge, it had no battery (the receiver was off and needed charging). The amenities were environmentally conscious, which is understandable but felt a bit cheap. Since it's a club room, there could be more of a luxurious touch (the external SONY speaker is nice, but if that's included, Bluetooth compatibility beyond just TV would be appreciated). The Club Lounge having two floors is good; however, rather than content issues, it's about guest behavior—about 70% were foreigners with poor manners (loud and leaving tables messy after departure; taking items out freely). Hotel staff seemed to turn a blind eye. As for dinner at the much-talked-about "Petit Chef," while I understood beforehand that discounts for staying guests wouldn't apply, when I requested room billing for payment they said it wasn't possible due to system limitations. This forced me to go back to my room for my wallet (what's the point of an in-hotel restaurant?). While "Petit Chef" might be an interesting concept once experienced—it felt like one visit is enough. The rushed pace from appetizers through dessert left me feeling uncomfortable. Since it's likely a limited-time offering anyway—I'd prefer they replace it with something more proper like French cuisine again (not necessarily as high-end as Gagnaire). Overall impressions: perhaps thanks to renovations from several years ago? The interior didn't feel over 40 years old. However—for better or worse—the strong international influence made me wonder about internal challenges behind-the-scenes. While I'll likely continue using this place occasionally for dining or other purposes—when considering cost-performance compared with other luxury options available—I don't foresee staying here again anytime soon... though admittedly views from the rooms were excellent!

    Comfortable to stay

I visited after several months. It was very crowded, and the check-in process at the Club Lounge took nearly an hour. During that time, I was provided with an afternoon tea stand and received attentive drink recommendations from the staff, making the wait comfortable. Cocktail time was also busy, and there were moments when some food items were unavailable; however, restocking was prompt, and drink orders were handled efficiently. The Room's facilities were sufficient for a comfortable stay, and all necessary amenities seemed to be well-prepared. Although the breakfast menu had slightly fewer options compared to before, the buffet remained unchanged in quality, and all warm dishes I ordered were delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I would love to visit this Hotel again!

Close to Ark Hills Azabudai Hills

A Hotel nestled in a serene cityscape, offering a respite from the summer heat and urban noise. Upon check-in, I was delighted to receive an unexpected birthday present in my Room. The Water Suite was beautifully designed, exceptionally comfortable, and provided a truly extraordinary experience. The Club Lounge exuded elegance with its spacious and open atmosphere. Afternoon tea and cocktail time were delightful, with visually appealing dishes complementing the experience. Breakfast at Cascade Café offered an elevated buffet that was absolutely delicious. I appreciated the extended check-out time, allowing me to relax both physically and mentally. Thank you to all the staff members who made this stay so memorable!

    About Club Lounge Services

Stayed 6 nights in the Sky Suite. Prior to my stay, I made several inquiries and requests via email, and the responses were prompt and courteous. On the day of check-in, I arrived early, but they accommodated me with an early check-in, which was impressive. However, there were many aspects that left me disappointed, resulting in a stay that did not make me want to return. Here are some examples: 1) Breakfast at Club InterContinental was poorly managed. The seating guidance was slow, leading to long waits before being seated or served. On some occasions, coffee orders were forgotten until prompted again; only then would it be brought with an apology for the delay. It seemed evident that there weren’t enough staff members to maintain a lounge of this scale effectively. 2) At the Club Lounge, most guests appeared to be inbound travelers from overseas; hence many foreign staff members were employed here. While this is not inherently an issue, some staff had limited Japanese proficiency—requiring guests like myself to adjust by speaking English frequently. While having foreign staff is perfectly fine in itself, I believe guests should not have to accommodate such language barriers. 3) During checkout as an IKYU Diamond Member benefit—where hotel credit worth 2,000 yen per night (12,000 yen total for my 6-night stay) could be used at restaurants or in-room dining—the bill initially reflected only a deduction of 2,000 yen instead of 12,000 yen owed correctly under this program's terms! Even after pointing out their mistake repeatedly—it took switching personnel & considerable time before resolving properly! Had I missed noticing errors myself—it might’ve gone unresolved entirely—which feels unacceptable given loyalty towards IKYU over years! While significant renovations improved hardware quality greatly—I firmly believe true value lies within operational "software." Unless staffing levels & management practices improve drastically within areas like club lounges—it’s hard imagining calling such establishments truly world-class hotels anytime soon!

    It was excellent.

It was a stay to celebrate our 60th birthday with friends from our school days. Even though it was in Tokyo, the presence of many foreign guests made it feel like being abroad, allowing us to enjoy a luxurious and elegant time. The afternoon tea time and cocktail time at the club lounge provided a relaxing and leisurely adult experience. We will definitely use this accommodation again!

I stayed at the accommodation for a concert at Suntory Hall. I arrived before check-in time, but since the room was ready, I was allowed to enter about an hour early and could rest. The proximity to the venue was very convenient, as I could return to the hotel to retrieve my forgotten wallet after entering the hall. There were also favorite shops nearby where I enjoyed shopping and had a great time. I would love to stay here again when attending another concert at Suntory Hall.

We believe there is a shortage of staff.

I usually don't write reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. - Arrived at 3:00 PM for check-in, but the room cleaning was not finished and was told it would be ready by 4:00 PM. I waited, but even at 4:00 PM, no one informed me. I had to ask myself. - Finally entered the room, but the luggage I had entrusted was not there. Had to inquire and wait again. - Requested turndown service after cocktail time (5:30 PM), but they came before 5:00 PM. They only left two bottles of water, chocolates, and two pairs of slippers without replenishing used amenities like bath salts. - Nightwear was missing from the room. Noticed this late at night and had no choice but to sleep in a bathrobe. - The club lounge is very spacious, but during tea time, cocktail time, and breakfast hours, there were not enough staff members available. There were delays even for checking room numbers at the entrance or getting drinks served since everything is order-based. Wouldn't it be better if water or some drinks were self-service? - Personally disappointed that the breakfast set is no longer from Pierre Gagnaire. Although I received several apologies regarding check-in issues, there were too many other problems that left me disappointed overall. The service does not match the price charged. The staff seemed busy all around; perhaps there are simply not enough of them... The club lounge used to be excellent before. I don’t think I will visit again.

    Excellent and courteous customer service.

It was very good, but I would like to point out some issues. The concierge should be more aware of the details of guests' accommodation. I booked a stay with breakfast included, and when I asked if room service was possible, I was told it could be arranged for an additional charge. Then, when I inquired whether breakfast could only be eaten on the 2nd and 35th floors outside of room service for club rooms, the response was that it is only available on the 35th floor for club rooms. This was a bit disappointing. Also, my wife really liked the buckwheat pillow provided. If possible, could you let us know where we can purchase one?

    A very relaxing time

Even though it is located in the middle of Tokyo, it was not noisy and I was able to relax very much. The size of the Room and the welcome sweets made me feel elated. However, it's a bit disappointing that the amenities should be considered according to the grade of the Room (even though it's a suite). Certainly, if there is something missing, you can call, but it was troublesome.

I really don't want to say this in a review, but

It was a club lounge that I cannot recommend to Japanese people. First of all, most of the people in the club lounge were foreigners speaking broken Japanese. I was surprised when I asked for a tea refill during afternoon tea and was told there would be an additional charge. When I told the manager, he laughed and said that's not true, but isn't that also rude? It felt like they were laughing at me for not having manners, which made me feel bad. Speaking of manners, I've studied them from books; in Japan, manners might mean women dressing up, but true foreign manners involve men escorting women. Considering this, none of the menu explanations about tea leaves were written in Japanese and it was hard to understand; without asking a Japanese staff member, I couldn't even figure out what breakfast was. The good points were that everything from bath salts to mouthwash was replenished during turndown service and the room being a suite room was lovely. Other than that, it was cold with short sleeves so instead of saying "please give me a blanket" clearly to staff who spoke broken Japanese as if they understood "shall we bring one?" they never came after saying please bring one eventually. The food felt like foreigners trying to imitate Japan; the meat smelled bad and sushi tasted awful too. Non-alcoholic cocktails also tasted bad—I don't want overseas people thinking this is Japanese food just because it's done at Hotel (Hoteru) in Japan—at least have basic level Japanese language skills among your staff members ready! I'm sorry for having to say such things in Review (Kuchikomi).

Unchanging for years... The lobby floor filled with the aroma of Japanese tea... Guest rooms with a panoramic view of Tokyo Tower... For about 30 years, I have been using ANA InterContinental Tokyo mainly for business purposes... Even now, it remains unchanged from those days... It is my soothing space during business trips, and I love the timeless yet evolving atmosphere. I am already looking forward to my next stay.

    Room transfer

I use this Hotel every year before and after the year-end concert at Suntory Hall. When completing the check-in process at the lounge, the lounge staff suggested an upgrade. Since it was an upgrade from the Water Suite, I entered the Room with high expectations, only to find a bed set up in the living Room. The amenities were also set for four people, so I assumed it was a Room originally set up for four people but reassigned by the Hotel for their convenience. I had planned to relax in the living Room before going out, but there wasn’t even a sofa to sit on. When I informed the lounge staff about this, their response was, "It is an upgrade, though..." It seemed they didn’t understand our expectations for a "suite," which includes a living Room and a bedroom, and I don’t recall receiving an apology. Eventually, the bed set in the living Room was removed, but the entire handling of the situation was very disappointing. Additionally, during check-in, there was no mention of the Diamond Member benefits. When I asked another staff member, I finally received an explanation. I look forward to spending a relaxing time at the end of the year every year, so I hope such issues will not occur during my next stay.

    A little thing

I stayed from January 1st to 3rd during the New Year. Thanks to the early bird discount (early booking), the rate for the New Year was very reasonable, and I was able to stay in a Junior Suite. I was satisfied with that aspect. However, despite the Room being newly renovated, the air conditioning was not very effective, and the room temperature did not seem to reach the set temperature. Other than that, I had no particular complaints, but perhaps due to cost-cutting measures, the staff had completely changed compared to when I stayed last summer. As a result, there was less of a sense of familiarity, and during check-out, there was only one staff member in the club lounge, which made the process quite slow. The front desk on the second floor was not busy, so I felt that staff could have been utilized more efficiently and handled things more generously. The Hotel's location is good, and the response from the Room staff was also satisfactory, so perhaps the issue lies in the management being foreign-owned and overly focused on efficiency. As a Hotel itself, I think it is not bad.

The room was about the size of a junior suite, allowing for a relaxing stay. The club lounge is quite spacious, but it was bustling due to the large number of rooms on the club floor. However, because the space is large, it didn't feel cramped like the lounge of a certain hotel in Roppongi. The evening canapés and breakfast had a wide variety of menu options, which was great. We were pleasantly surprised with a commemorative plate and delicious cake for our anniversary. There were many guests from overseas, which gave us the feeling of being on an international trip. However, during the evening canapé time, the person at the table next to the one we initially sat at was coughing and blowing their nose continuously. We endured it for a while, but eventually, it became uncomfortable, and we requested to change seats. We were assisted courteously in this matter, which was helpful. There was no fault on the part of the hotel, but with so many different people, it can't be helped.

The location and meals are excellent.

I used it for a concert at Suntory Hall. The location is very satisfactory. Regarding the facilities within the Hotel, I would like the amenities to be a little more enhanced, and it was inconvenient that the guidance for the facilities and equipment was through QR code scanning. I understand this is a recent trend, but as someone nearing 60, it was difficult to see on a smartphone, which was troublesome. It was also disappointing that the café in front of the front lobby was under renovation and could not be used. I think it would be better to have sofas to sit on before check-in. Some other foreign guests were sitting on the ground.

No room for staff or space?

The renovated floor has become more comfortable in terms of Facility. When I arrived at 4 o'clock, I was told that the reserved type of Room was not ready, so I had to wait for a while. Since there is no lobby, I had to stand in front of the counter, which was tough for someone using a cane. There were no hairbrushes or basic cosmetics in the Room amenities, so it would be nice to have an announcement if a request is necessary. The service at the bar on the top floor was such that even water was not provided unless we asked for it, so we left early.
