    First Stay

Thank you very much for such a comfortable stay. The Room was extremely user-friendly, and I was especially impressed by the spacious sofa set along the window. Being able to relax while taking in the Tokyo view and enjoy a drink meant there was a comfortable place to spend time besides the bed, which made staying in the Room itself truly enjoyable. It felt less like being in a Hotel Room and more like spending time in a living room. Combined with the view from the high floor, it was a wonderfully cozy space. The bed was also generously sized and very comfortable, allowing me to rest well until morning. What left the strongest impression this time was the Club InterContinental Lounge. It offered unusually generous spacing between seats for a Hotel in central Tokyo, so I could spend time there in complete calm. Cocktail hour was excellent as well—not simply about offering more food, but thoughtfully designed so guests can enjoy an unhurried evening with a cold tapas buffet, made-to-order hot tapas, champagne, and cocktails. In particular, I appreciated that cocktails were properly prepared and delivered to my seat; that original cocktails such as the Saketini were available; and that when my glass of Moët & Chandon started running low, staff kindly asked “Shall I bring you another?” before I even needed to request it. When people talk about lounges they often focus on the variety of food and drinks, but what I found most appealing here was how attentively the staff looked after guests while maintaining such a relaxed atmosphere. Also, although all key Facilities—such as the pool, restaurants, and lounge—were available within the property, each area felt comfortably spacious. Even spending an entire day inside the Hotel never felt cramped. After using the pool we also ordered French onion gratin soup in our Room; it warmed us up perfectly after getting chilled from swimming, and we were grateful to be able to use our Hotel credit as well. We were also able to enjoy breakfast at leisure until later hours in the club lounge. In addition to both Japanese breakfast options and buffet selections, we unexpectedly received one of the chef’s signature dishes—it was delicious and became a wonderful memory. Having everything we need readily available—and being able to use it freely at our own pace—is what makes this Hotel so appealing. This stay has made it one of those Hotels I would happily return to again whenever timing works out. Thank you very much to all of your staff.

It didn’t go well with coffee.

I’ve been a big fan since the height of COVID, when you kept the gym open and the pool precautions were fairly relaxed (meant as praise). Because it’s so convenient, I stay here from time to time. Last year, right after entering the Room I made a Nespresso, but it wouldn’t stop dispensing. While I looked away, it soaked the top of the fridge and that’s how my stay began. This year, when I turned it on for the first time after entering the Room, it again wouldn’t stop dispensing. Thanks to last year’s lesson I watched it closely, so only the cup overflowed—but if this happens every single year, maybe it’s not a malfunction but simply how it works. The next morning at breakfast, I ordered coffee when being seated at the buffet, but it still hadn’t arrived by the time I came back from getting food. That part is common enough. However, when I asked a female staff member passing by for coffee again (“Coffee please”), she didn’t apologize or say anything—she just gave a vague “Huh?”-type nod and walked off. I had a bad feeling about her attitude, and sure enough no coffee came. When coffee was delivered to guests seated next to me who had arrived 15–20 minutes later than I did, I went to the coffee counter and placed my third order. Even there they offered no apology or words—just a contemptuous look as if to say, “Don’t get mad just because you were ignored three times.” The easygoing atmosphere that originally made me like this Hotel may have shifted in a negative direction after the inbound tourism boom. After all that effort I finally got my coffee; if it had been good at least that would have saved things at the end—but it was far too weak with no bitterness or richness at all. For a moment I wondered if they had added hot water out of spite, but since they were about to take another cup to other tables and handed that one to me instead, that seems unlikely. It appears you’re simply continuing to serve bad coffee. Because of all this: this time my reserved Plan itself was excellent and I fully intended to praise it (I was even asked at check-in to leave comments on IKYU), but this breakfast incident completely killed any motivation. The Plan really is great—and I already have another Reservation for next week—but starting my day again under their contemptuous stares feels depressing enough that I'm considering canceling. It may depend on the weather forecast.

    It had improved considerably.

I stayed here around the time the lounge first opened. It was just a large lounge with no service, and it felt like a competition to grab seats. After that experience, I didn’t stay for over 10 years. For IHG, I had settled on The Strings and Tokyo Bay. Recently, after reading Reviews, it seemed to have improved a lot, so I decided to stay again. It really has improved. The staff member who handled my check-in didn’t seem to be aware of my Accommodation Reservation details and their response missed the mark, which was disappointing. Other than that, everything was fine and I had a comfortable stay. If the service remains at this level, I would consider returning.

Isn’t it on the Club Floor?

We made a Reservation for four guests with the Plan that includes access to the Aqua Suite Lounge. Our Room was on the 23rd floor, a lower floor, and it was not a club floor. For some reason, there was only one razor, one wash bowl, and two bathrobes. Even though there were four of us, there was one each of three types of tea. For coffee, there were two each of three types. At turndown service, there was one chocolate by each of two beds’ pillows, but nothing for the other two. They also brought us a gift; when we opened it, it contained two fresh sweets. With four adults staying, only two felt disappointing—were we expected to split small sweets in half? We had high expectations for the lounge, but only the 35th floor was open and the 36th floor was closed. It was very crowded. Breakfast was delicious and we could relax. The staff who assisted us from the entrance and the bakery staff were very kind. This is a Hotel our family had been looking forward to, so overall it was a bit disappointing.

    Amenities include...

Since I only stayed one night, I can’t give a detailed review, but overall I found it to be a comfortable Hotel. However, the amenities were only for men. I noticed right before taking a shower and gave up on using a hair cap and cotton swabs. It was disappointing, as these should be provided for both men and women. Other than that, the Room was well cleaned. The coffee maker seemed to be breaking down and stopped quickly, so I had to press the button many times. All of the bread at the café was very delicious.

    Obon Holiday Stay

As you’d expect from an IHG Group property, there are many international guests. I stayed in a Junior Suite, and the Room was comfortable; if any issue came up, staff responded right away. There were no major problems, but if I had to mention a few points: the toilet door makes a squeaking sound when opening and closing, and the bathtub has no grab handle. Because the tub is large, when trying to soak my whole body in it, I felt it could be dangerous—if my hand slipped, I might hit my head. Please consider adding a grab handle to the bathtub. Also, breakfast is very tasty with both Japanese and Western options; however, it would be even better if there were at least one soup option. Other than that, I plan to stay again over New Year’s.

    Mostly international guests

We stayed for two nights for a “staycation.” It felt like most guests and staff were foreigners, to the point that it was hard to find Japanese guests. We rented bicycles and cycled to Jingu Gaien, enjoying the scenery. The garden pool is more for soaking than swimming, but the non-everyday atmosphere surrounded by buildings was great. With Club Lounge access, breakfast and dinner were more than enough. For breakfast, the Club Lounge is less crowded than Cascade Café, so you can eat in a calmer setting. During cocktail time, perhaps due to understaffing, our ordered drinks took a long time to arrive and we had to remind staff several times. Also, because it is order-based service, it was sometimes difficult to get a staff member’s attention and there were some long waits. When we went up to speak with staff, it was also a bit difficult to explain where our table was since there were no table numbers. The Sky Suite was spacious enough for four adults and we were satisfied. The toilet and bathroom are separate, but because the bathroom has a glass door, you can’t use the toilet while someone is using the bath. Frosted glass would have been better. Overall we were satisfied and would like to stay again.

Stay at the hotel you’ve always dreamed of

I stayed at a Hotel I’d long thought, “Someday I want to stay here (with lounge access).” Maybe because I’ve stayed at many great Hotels, my expectations were too high… I ended up comparing it too much. My impression was that many staff gave off an “I’m busy” vibe. It felt very international, but the staff didn’t seem to have much leeway, and it wasn’t always clear what they were explaining—hmm. Unfortunately, neither the lounge food nor the breakfast restaurant suited my taste. I was grateful that they arranged a Room with a nice view for me. Thank you for your hospitality.

It was my first time staying here again in a while. As always, both the Hotel and the Room were kept very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. The staff member who came for turndown service was cheerful and friendly, and handled everything efficiently, which made me happy. Everyone in the lounge and restaurant was also very courteous, so even though it had been some time since my last visit, I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. Thank you very much. I would definitely like to stay again.

It had been quite a long time since my last stay. However, I was very satisfied and already want to come back soon. Each summer, I spend time with the theme of relaxing at a nearby club lounge rather than taking a long trip, and this was perfect. I’m truly grateful to all the staff on the lounge floor for kindly indulging my laid-back pace. As for the Facility, I felt the bed didn’t suit me perfectly (I prefer firmer), and I also found myself wishing for a bathtub—so I’ll be more careful with my next Reservation. The lounge dining is something anyone can enjoy. Thank you again, and I look forward to staying with you again.

    Club Floor operations need improvement.

I don’t usually post reviews like this, but this time I really felt I needed to share my experience. We stayed on a Friday during summer vacation with our 3-month-old and 5-year-old. When we tried to check in at the front desk on the 2nd floor, we were told that Club Floor guests must check in on the 35th floor, so we headed up there. We waited for assistance while having afternoon tea in the club lounge, but no one came no matter how long we waited. It eventually became time to breastfeed, and when I explained that I needed to do so, I was told “two more parties,” yet it still took another 30 minutes. We finally received our key 1.5 hours after arriving at the Hotel. I couldn’t breastfeed, and both children became very fussy—it was truly difficult… There was also no real explanation of Diamond member benefits. I had requested late checkout in advance as well, but was told that due to full occupancy it could only be extended by one hour. That part is understandable, but when we got to the Room, the key didn’t work… Normally I’d laugh it off, but by then we were completely exhausted. The garden pool our child had been looking forward to was also a disappointment—because check-in took so long, it started raining and we couldn’t use it. When the rain stopped at night and we decided to go for the night pool instead, we were told it was closed all day due to rain… During cocktail time as well, drinks and hot tapas took a long time to come out, and the kids’ corner that I had seen mentioned in other guests’ stay blogs was gone. Finally, after putting our child to bed that night, I went back to the lounge hoping to calm down and ordered a decaf latte—but what arrived was black coffee… I had been looking forward to this stay as a treat after giving birth; instead of feeling refreshed after paying an expensive Accommodation fee (not cheap), I ended up going home stressed out—very disappointing. If possible, I wish I could redo everything starting from check-in. Email communication beforehand was very smooth; all requested amenities were prepared without omission and greatly appreciated; and staff members were generally polite. However, operations for Club Floor during peak periods should be reviewed urgently. At minimum, coordination with the 2nd-floor front desk should be strengthened so that during busy times they contact guests in advance and recommend completing check-in procedures on the 2nd floor. For those planning to stay (especially families with children), if you have flexibility in your schedule I strongly recommend starting your check-in process early enough.

    I was satisfied.

I was impressed by the club lounge during my previous stay, and this time it felt like it had been taken to an even higher level. Instead of sparkling wine, you can enjoy Moët & Chandon champagne! The snacks were also excellent—especially the warm tapas—and the sushi and other items were all very satisfying. The Room had a shower only, but since it was summer, that wasn’t an issue at all. I think it’s a well-organized Room with a clean layout. Perhaps thanks to my IKYU Diamond membership, I received various services as well, making this a very satisfying stay.

The front desk staff were unhelpful.

I stayed here to fill time during a layover. The staff’s attitude made it feel like it was my fault for not knowing the Hotel rules. Different staff handled check-in and check-out, but neither experience felt pleasant.

Although this is a long-established Hotel, the Room is very clean and wonderful!!

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. The lobby and our Room were beautiful, and I was impressed from the moment we arrived. We were especially happy with the Room assigned to us on a higher floor, where we could enjoy a view of Tokyo Tower, which made our time feel truly special. The items you prepared in the Room for my family have become precious keepsakes and treasured memories. Thank you for your thoughtful attention to detail. All of the staff were also courteous and pleasant, and we felt at ease throughout our stay. On the other hand, there were moments on the club floor when it felt like food and drinks took a little longer to be served. There were also times when a drink different from what we ordered was brought to us, which was slightly disappointing. As this is such a popular luxury Hotel, I assume it was due to how busy it was. I also noticed a few things at checkout; however, overall my impression remains very positive. Thank you for such an excellent and memorable experience. I would also like to thank the woman in the reservations department for responding properly to my requests and accommodating them. Thanks to you, we were able to celebrate a wonderful anniversary. We had a great time. Thank you again.

I feel empty—I think I’ve reached my limit.

Perhaps because it was a connecting Room, I could clearly hear voices from the next Room and couldn’t relax at all. On top of that, housekeeping started early in the morning, and the noise from cleaning—such as vacuuming—also disturbed my sleep. Of course, there was no fault on the part of the guests next door, and I’m sure the housekeeping staff didn’t realize it either, but this is fundamentally a Facility issue. A superficial renovation has its limits; the bathroom fixtures also felt cheap, and perhaps because it’s an older building, the water pressure was low. When I entered the Room, even water stains on the flush handle hadn’t been wiped off, which left me feeling unpleasant. Also, there are no sofas at all in the lobby! While one person is completing procedures at the counter, their companion has to stand around waiting nearby. I’m sure there are various reasons for this, but I’ve never seen a Hotel like that—and there was no guidance either. When checking out, I wanted to mention these issues; however, a staff member who seemed to be a manager didn’t even ask how my stay was.

    Thank you for your support.

As always, it was a relaxing environment and made for a wonderful holiday. This time, I used the Hotel credit included in the Plan and asked at the restaurant on a whim whether takeout from Karin’s Chinese cuisine might be possible; they kindly accepted my request, and I was truly grateful. I enjoyed it at home and it was absolutely delicious. I also used the club lounge, and had a very enjoyable time during cocktail hour... however, something I noticed last time as well: the staff seemed very busy assisting international guests with drinks and replenishing food. It may be unavoidable, but I wish they could have paid a bit more attention—even just with their eyes—to Japanese guests’ tables as well while walking around. In that respect, the lounge manager’s friendly conversation made up for it... but among the staff overall, there weren’t many smiles, and they seemed to have little room to spare. Even so, I love the atmosphere of both the guest rooms and the lounge, so if I have another opportunity next time, I will stay again. Thank you very much.

Breakfast was served in a spacious lounge. We were satisfied.

There are two things I really liked. - The breakfast is delicious, with so many options it’s hard to choose! Sushi, fruit, bread… even the steamed rice and miso soup are great. The salad is crisp, and you can really taste the natural sweetness of the vegetables. - The lounge staff are polite and pleasant. Their Japanese is also very good. You’ve trained them well—excellent. Please keep it up. One disappointing point… - The amenities feel a bit limited. I think a hairbrush would be better than a comb. It would also be nice to have more skincare items like toner and lotion, though I understand it may be difficult due to budget constraints. I’d be happy if there were a bit more variety. Overall, I’m satisfied and would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

Overall, it’s a good club lounge, but

Although I had imagined it as an old-fashioned Hotel, I needed to be in Roppongi for errands and stayed here. With club lounge access included. During tea time, they served an afternoon tea set, and instead of guests going to pick up drinks themselves, the staff properly delivered them to our seats, which left a very good impression. However, the dinner-time service hours were very short. When I came before 8:00 p.m. after dinner, only soft drinks were available, so I couldn’t enjoy alcohol in the lounge while taking in the night view. I don’t mind if food service ends early, but I felt it would be nice if they could still offer at least a small selection of alcoholic drinks. The price is affordable and good value for a club-lounge Room in central Tokyo, but if dinner-time hours were extended, satisfaction would be perfect. Also, there were no amenities such as facial lotion in the Room; at minimum, I would like them to provide skincare items like facial lotion. Only two bottles of water were provided as well—I would have preferred four. These are minor points, but with a bit more improvement, this could become a Hotel I’d want to make my regular choice.

    An Excellent Club Floor Experience!

I was surprised by how refined and stylish the club floor was—it didn’t feel like a long-established Hotel at all. It had a calm atmosphere while still feeling modern, and it looked very sleek. The drink service was attentive, and the staff would check in with us naturally, so even during a short stay we felt truly satisfied. Rather than emphasizing extravagance, the dining experience seemed designed to raise satisfaction through its overall composition, presentation, and the careful service. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay. I’d love to return.

This was my first return visit in a while, and it turned out to be an even more wonderful stay than I expected. This time I used the club lounge, and from check-in to check-out, the staff’s friendly, warm hospitality was truly comforting—I was able to relax from the bottom of my heart. What impressed me most was the lounge quality. Both the food and drinks had been significantly upgraded since my last visit, and I was genuinely moved by the high standard and service. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.

    New Year's Stay

Visited the InterContinental Hotel with my parents during New Year's. The view of Tokyo Tower from our Club Floor Room was stunning! The illuminated Tokyo Tower was truly beautiful. While waiting for check-in, we enjoyed afternoon tea and had a relaxing time. The pineapple juice, in particular, was delicious and full of fresh fruit flavor. During cocktail time, there was a buffet with cold dishes. The sushi was tasty, but I felt it could have had more variety to be fully satisfying. For breakfast the next day, I hoped to enjoy steak at the lounge as I did at the Osaka InterContinental previously, but it wasn’t on the menu this time. Instead, we opted for the buffet restaurant on the second floor. Although slightly disappointed about missing out on steak, we were very satisfied with the wide selection of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes available at the buffet. Thank you for your hospitality!

I used the day-use service. The in-room dining was incredibly delicious. Perhaps it was because I ordered from the sushi restaurant's in-room menu? The Room was a bit small, but since it was for day-use, I think that's understandable. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

A relatively affordable club round to enjoy.

Directly connected to Tameike-Sanno Station on the Ginza Line, this hotel is located within Ark Hills. With the newly completed underground passage towards Azabu-dori, access to nearby Azabudai Hills is now just a short walk away, making it very convenient. In addition to the subway, buses to Roppongi Hills and Shibuya run approximately every five minutes, adding further convenience. I stayed in the club area, which was understandably crowded. However, staff were attentive and ensured there were no inconveniences. It felt sufficient for my needs. Guest rooms face three directions: Tokyo Tower and Azabudai Hills side; Fuji Mountain and Shinjuku side along Azabu-dori; or National Diet Building and Imperial Palace side. Each direction offers a quintessential Tokyo view. The meals at the lounge were sufficiently delicious, with coffee and other beverages served by staff rather than self-service—a thoughtful touch. There were no major complaints regarding value for room rates—it felt adequate overall. However, I found using the in-room phone for ordering dining services confusing. When I called externally via mobile phone for assistance with its operation, the response was quite cold and impersonal. Additionally, when requesting courier service shipping from a staff member unfamiliar with this process, it took some time but eventually resolved—though it left some doubts about their handling of such requests. For those seeking a more tranquil atmosphere or celebrating special occasions like anniversaries, opting for higher-end luxury hotels around Marunouchi might be preferable due to their exclusivity despite higher costs. That said overall experience here had no significant dissatisfaction points worth noting further!
