    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    It was a wonderful accommodation that I would love to visit again. The facility is slightly old, but it was clean and well-maintained, so there were no issues. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and the food was very delicious. I have found an accommodation I want to stay at when visiting Fukushima.

    As expected

    I am a repeat guest, visiting once or twice a year. The food, facility, and staff service always exceed my expectations, and I am extremely satisfied every time. I will definitely stay at Auberge Suzukane again when I visit the Fukushima area next time.

    We stayed as a group...

    We stayed as a group of four, including my parents and husband. As mentioned in other reviews, the meals were incredibly delicious. Not only was the food excellent, but the tableware and center table coordination were also beautifully arranged. Both dinner and breakfast were served in generous portions that we could hardly finish, and everything was delightful. The semi-private dining space added to the pleasant experience. The room was a maisonette style, which allowed us to maintain an appropriate level of privacy without feeling uncomfortable around each other. The fact that the bathroom in the room featured onsen water was another highlight—we could enjoy onsen without having to move to a public bath. Overall, this accommodation deserves five stars, and we would love to visit again. However, if I had to point out one minor issue, it would be some black stains (possibly due to aging) on the walls of the indoor staircase. These marks seemed permanent despite cleaning efforts. Since both the room's cleanliness and customer service are impeccable otherwise, these stains slightly detract from an otherwise perfect experience. Perhaps covering them with something like a marker might help improve appearances!

    Accommodation in Heavy Snow

    We left early, anticipating delays due to heavy snow, but arrived 40 minutes ahead of schedule. Despite this, we were warmly welcomed and allowed into our cozy accommodation room. Even before the official check-in time, they brought a welcome drink to the room, allowing us to relax right away. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptionally delicious. It's rare to find a place where everything served is so tasty, but here it truly was. The staff and the hostess provided outstanding service, making this an accommodation we would love to visit again. In the morning, they even cleared the snow off our car for us. This was a spontaneous stay, but as we visit Fukushima annually for family memorials and have been searching for a regular accommodation spot, this has become our top choice!

    Gourmet Accommodation

    Chosen for its reputation as a gourmet Accommodation and positive Reviews, we were pleased with the delicious meals, which were served in just the right portions despite being described as large. However, breakfast felt rushed as dishes were cleared immediately after finishing. The Room was comfortable with underfloor heating, and having an Onsen bath attached to the Room was a highlight, allowing us to enjoy it anytime. Regarding the private open-air Onsen bath, there was confusion due to outdated instructions in the booklet provided in the Room. When we asked for clarification, staff mentioned that it had changed but did not update the information. Although told it could be used 24 hours a day during check-in, signs at the bath indicated time restrictions. This inconsistency left us uncertain about its actual availability. Service during meals varied significantly depending on staff members. Witnessing someone holding food while clearing used dishes left an unpleasant impression. As for Room amenities, some items appeared opened or previously used—this was disappointing even if they might have been unused. While these issues may have been isolated incidents this time around, improvements would enhance expectations of staying at a high-end Accommodation like this one.

    Mysterious

    This is my sixth stay at this accommodation, and each time I visit, its charm grows. While I’ve become familiar with the staff and rooms, the hostess’s consistent attentiveness and the satisfaction from the meals remain as excellent as ever. During this stay, I noticed something interesting—despite seeing her busy attending to other guests, we somehow felt uniquely special, which was both surprising and delightful. It seems that this accommodation truly suits us well. We look forward to visiting again next spring. Thank you, Auberge Suzukane!
