    A paradise for kids!

    This Hotel offers all kinds of fun encounters and experiences. There’s a pool with a slide, an area where you can make Onsen eggs, and the game arcade is so addictive that even adults can’t help getting really into it (in a good way). The meals were well balanced all the way through dessert, and we were very satisfied. We traveled with two toddlers, so even the dining area turned into a bit of a battlefield, but if it had been adults only, we could have fully enjoyed an amazing dining experience and gone to sleep—and woken up—in pure bliss... Still, the staff were truly attentive and helped us a lot. We would definitely love to visit again.

    This Facility is perfect for families with children.

    I stayed here at the end of last year and loved the great service, so this time I came back with my grandchildren and children for a family stay. Since it was the busy Obon season, there was unfortunately no greeting at check-in or send-off at check-out, but the male staff member at the front desk was very kind and polite, which I really appreciated. We chose this Accommodation because it has a slide for my kindergarten-aged grandchild. The slide was longer than expected, and the dark tunnel section seemed scary for a young child, but adults found it fun and tried it many times. The pool had a jacuzzi and several different areas, and my grandchild enjoyed it so much that we stayed in for a long time. The Hotel Room and all other Facilities were well cleaned; our neat-and-tidy family was very happy. The Onsen was spacious, clean, and fed by natural hot spring water, with many different baths in two or more areas—my skin felt wonderfully smooth afterward. The showers were also well equipped with good-quality shampoo/conditioner and ReFa hair dryers. The sauna was clean and spacious as well. The meals were delicious with plenty of dishes to enjoy. There were table tennis Facilities available to borrow; the space was large, both paddles and tables were clean, and we had fun playing again after a long time. It was also great that drinks and snacks were provided free of charge in the lounge—they were tasty too. We couldn’t boil the eggs very well (unfortunately), but overall we had a lot of fun. We were extremely satisfied with our stay.

    Use during the Obon holiday period

    We stayed for two nights. The hospitality from all staff—room attendants, front desk, bus driver, and everyone else—was excellent. The meals were delicious, but there were no children’s options, so we ended up leaving some of the adult dishes unfinished.

    We stayed with a group of eight. The kids had a great time in the pool, and the adults were able to relax while making Onsen eggs and enjoying the drink bar—everyone had a wonderful trip. The dining staff were also very pleasant, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast comfortably. The Room was clean and spacious, so the adults could truly unwind. The expanded game area was also a big hit with the kids. The Onsen was much better than when we visited before, so I went in about five times. We were very satisfied. All staff members, including those at the front desk, were courteous and made us feel welcome. Thank you very much.

    An annual summer tradition.

    Once again, our whole family had a wonderful two-day stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally kind and attentive as always, and we truly appreciate it. A variety of food and drinks are also available in the lobby, which our children look forward to every time. This time as well, they were especially excited for the brown sugar buns and warabi mochi, and they were delighted. We were also very satisfied with the pool, including the slide. Both dinner and breakfast were very luxurious and made for a great time together. Thank you as always. We will definitely stay again.

    Highly satisfied

    We traveled with our 2-year-old. There were lots of services and we had a great time. Since meals were served in the dining venue, we were worried about bothering others, but there were many families, which made us feel at ease. The rice was provided, but I recommend bringing your own furikake seasoning! The water slide was very exciting. We’d love to come again. Thank you very much.

    Our anniversary trip was a huge success!

    Choosing this place for my husband’s 84th birthday trip was a great success. The Room was wonderful—luxurious and almost too spacious for just the two of us. The amenities were a bit disappointing; it would have been even better if there had been a body wash towel. The meals were thoughtfully prepared with careful seasoning that respected the ingredients, and we also enjoyed the complimentary manju and Onsen eggs. Although the property is large, it was spotless and impeccably maintained. Our attendant provided very courteous service and made us feel truly welcome.\nWe are grateful that our requests were kindly accommodated, and we would love to stay here again.\nThank you for making it such a wonderful birthday.

    High-quality hospitality and service

    The dining staff’s explanations of the dishes were clear and very helpful. It was evident how much effort Yunokuni Tensho puts into creating the menu, and it was fascinating to hear about something that’s usually hard to see from the outside. The support for our visit to Yunokuni no Mori was excellent. Even though it was extremely hot that day, we had a great time thanks to the various activities at Yunokuni no Mori and the breeze through the trees.

    Insufficient Facilities

    Please review the Facility: there is no chair at the washbasin; the open-air bath has no washing area; the cold-water tap for cooling the open-air bath cannot be reached from outside and can only be reached by getting into the hot bath. The meals were disappointing, with limited variety at both dinner and breakfast. There was no plain white rice provided—some guests cannot eat barley rice. Overall, it felt lacking in attentiveness, and I did not feel it was good value for the price.

    I completed the payment but did not stay and chose a different accommodation.

    We couldn’t tolerate the strong cigarette smell and heavy dust in the Room, so we stayed for only about an hour. (I understand this may vary by person, and the attendant said they couldn’t notice any odor.) The guidance to the Room was also very rushed, and we had to ask for clarification several times. While we ventilated the Room, we went to the Onsen; when we returned, my companion was coughing badly while trying hard to clean. It made me feel sad, so we checked out immediately (I know perceptions of Ryokan cleanliness can differ). Our plan included two meals, but since we didn’t eat there, I can’t comment on the food. In addition to our payment, they also charged my companion’s Hot Spring Tax even though they hadn’t used the Onsen yet. We urgently made a Reservation at another Accommodation in Kanazawa; while heading there, Yunokuni Tensyo called us and said something like “Have a great rest of your trip,” which left us confused. The Accommodation in Kanazawa was normal and fine.

    A Fun Trip with My Grandchild

    We stayed with our daughter, grandchild, and the two of us as a couple. The staff member in charge was very pleasant, and the food was delicious. However, replacement towels were limited to bath towels only, which was inconvenient when using the Onsen at night and again in the morning. If face towels were also provided in addition to bath towels, it would be easier to enjoy the Onsen multiple times.

    Used by a family of five on a family trip.

    We stayed here again for the first time in 10 years, this time as a family of five. We visited as part of a Hokuriku trip from Hyogo Prefecture. We were impressed by how well the Facility has been maintained—it didn’t feel like 10 years had passed at all. Everything was very clean and well cared for. The deciding factors for us were the excellent baths and the meals. The meals were served in a private dining room, and the staff were attentive; their smiles and warm demeanor made us feel truly comfortable. The portions were also very satisfying. When we departed, the lobby staff saw us off and continued waving with smiles until our car was out of sight, which made for a wonderful ending to our trip. Our whole family was extremely satisfied and moved by the hospitality. For families traveling with small children, this place is an excellent choice: Onsen, various complimentary services, private-room dining, outstanding hospitality—and as a bonus, you can enjoy hands-on leisure activities at “Yunokuni no Mori” with free admission through their partnership. In everyday life we often stay at Marriott city hotels in the Kansai area, but when we travel to Hokuriku, we plan to return here again. Thank you very much.

    Second Anniversary Trip

    It was the (Deluxe) Tensho-no-Yakata suite Plan with a private open-air Onsen bath. I hesitated because it was pricey, but once I stayed, I felt it was absolutely worth it! From the welcome to the front desk and the Room attendant, everyone’s service was pleasant and consistently high quality. They also offer thoughtful complimentary treats like Onsen manju, Onsen eggs, and jelly desserts, and the Room was clean with a calm atmosphere. Since it rained due to a typhoon during our stay, the view while using the open-air bath wasn’t at its best, which was a shame—but in good weather it must be spectacular. Dinner was a course meal including grilled nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) with salt; every dish looked carefully crafted at first glance. Breakfast was also among the best I’ve had at any Accommodation—while buffet-style is common these days, everything here was properly served and just as elaborate. From arrival to checkout, we were satisfied in every way. My partner was so impressed and said they definitely want to stay again. Of course, if I visit Hokuriku again, I strongly hope to stay at Yunokuni Tensho again and enjoy their service once more.

    Everything was excellent!!

    This was the best Accommodation I have ever stayed at. Despite being a large property, it was spotless and impeccably maintained, and every part of the building felt comfortable and welcoming. From the moment we arrived and used the Shuttle Service to when we were taken back to the station on departure, everything about the staff’s hospitality was wonderful. What impressed me most, however, was the food. Each dish was gently and delicately seasoned and beautifully presented, allowing us to fully enjoy every ingredient and flavor—we were completely satisfied. We enjoyed plenty of drinks as well, but it almost felt like a waste to get too tipsy because I wanted to focus on savoring the meal. The chef’s family also kept saying how delicious everything was throughout, enjoying every single dish. In addition to sake tastings, there was also an umeshu tasting, which we really enjoyed. It was my first time visiting Ishikawa Prefecture, and it is such a wonderful place that I would love to return many times. When I do, I will definitely stay at this Accommodation again.

    It was a wonderful trip.

    I visited for the first time in over ten years. I was surprised by how much brighter and more spacious the lobby felt than before. The staff member who assisted us was cheerful and full of humor, which made our trip even more enjoyable, and we all spent our time with smiles. I’d love to visit again someday during the summer pool season.

    Excellent Facility Management

    We visited for the first time with three generations to celebrate my parents’ golden wedding anniversary. Although it is a large Facility, everything was thoroughly cleaned and well maintained, making our stay very comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious.

    We had a truly luxurious stay.

    We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath and added a few extra dishes from the menu. Both the Room and the food were high quality, and we really enjoyed them. Having a Bose unit in the Room is unusual for an Onsen Ryokan, but it was very relaxing. There were many Onsen baths, so we enjoyed not only the one in our Room but also various others. The Japanese sweets in the Room were delicious, and we even bought some as souvenirs. It was also nice that there were thoughtful activities to enjoy inside the property, such as making Onsen eggs, but above all, thank you to the woman who took care of us—she was wonderful. Also, these days it’s quite rare that all staff are probably Japanese, and it showed how much effort you put into hiring. It was a very satisfying one-night, two-day stay. Thank you very much.

    The guest room with a garden Onsen open-air bath was excellent.

    We stayed in a Room with an open-air garden Onsen bath, and we were very satisfied with the exceptionally spacious bath. The staff also recommended this Room. With its generous size, we felt it was a luxurious Room for two guests.

    Thank you very much.

    I had high expectations because the Reviews on IKYU were extremely positive, but it was disappointing considering the high price. - The meals for a 5th grader and a 2nd grader were the same, and my 5th-grade child was disappointed with what felt like a kids’ lunch-style meal. - The futon mattress was too thin, my back hurt, and I couldn’t sleep well. - The Room amenities were not sufficient and felt lacking. I would have liked at least cotton swabs to be provided. - The Onsen manju and Onsen eggs were good. However, even though breakfast sweets were offered in a choose-your-own style, being served in small plastic containers felt unappealing. - The Onsen itself was excellent.

    Be a Princess at 88

    We stayed to celebrate the 88th birthdays of our two mothers, who are the same age. The Accommodation kindly prepared an 88th-birthday tiara and a gold shawl for them, and when we took photos, they looked just like princesses! They were both delighted. The cuisine was also full of surprises for both the eyes and the palate, and we truly enjoyed it from the bottom of our hearts. We had stayed here several times with children before, but this was our first visit in a while. The hospitality and service were polished and thoughtful, with touches that guests of every generation can enjoy—Yunokuni Tensho truly lives up to its reputation. Thank you very much.

    We were very satisfied with the Accommodation.

    The Onsen was wonderful—we really enjoyed it! The amenities were well stocked, making our stay very comfortable. In the lobby lounge, there were plenty of services and treats: onsen manju, onsen eggs, sweets, steamed potatoes, and a wide variety of drinks to choose from. Everything was delicious and fun. The Room was also very clean. This time we had dinner reserved elsewhere, but next time we would definitely like to stay with meals included.

    The hospitality here is exceptional!

    An Onsen trip for the first time in a while with my mother after she finished chemotherapy. We chose this Accommodation because it offers Rooms with an open-air Onsen bath and a private washing area. More than half of the Room was the bathing area, so I was surprised at first, but for my mother—who can’t go to the public bath—it was a wonderful, relaxing space. And above all, there were so many services! The food was absolutely delicious as well. This is an Accommodation we’d love to visit again.

    About Our Services

    I was pleasantly surprised by the many efforts made to serve guests. One thing I noticed is that, despite being a fine Hotel, the coffee isn’t very good—and it’s dispensed automatically into paper cups (which feels disappointing). Since this is also a Kutani ware region, I’d love to see delicious coffee served in beautiful cups, even if it’s offered for an additional charge.

    You can relax and unwind in the wonderful hot water.

    We enjoyed the free Onsen egg-making experience, the self-serve drink corner, and sweets such as Onsen manju. The steamed potatoes cooked with Onsen steam the next morning were also delicious. The hot spring water comes from both the hotel’s own source and Yamashiro Onsen, but the number of small free-flowing baths was limited. That said, even in areas that were not free-flowing, there was only a slight chlorine smell and it wasn’t bothersome. With many baths available, you can choose your preferred temperature from lukewarm to hot. The meals were delicious, and my daughter and grandchild had a wonderful time as well. If I had one request, I would have liked face towels to be available in the large public bath area; they will provide them if you ask at the front desk, but it’s inconvenient to stop by each time.

    All three Onsen bath...

    All three Onsen baths were spacious in their own distinct styles, and they were impeccably cleaned down to every detail—I was truly impressed. The complimentary food, such as vegetable soup, potatoes, and sweets, was also delicious. Even though we came from far away, it was well worth visiting even for just one night. Next time, I’d like to stay with breakfast and dinner included. Our whole family felt comforted by your warm hospitality. Thank you very much.

    Although it is a large Hotel, I had a comfortable stay.

    I stayed here recently. It was a weekday just after the start of April, and I expected it to be quieter, but surprisingly (no offense) there were quite a few guests. The Room was more spacious and better designed than I expected, and very comfortable. There is an open-air bath on the balcony; I was concerned about visibility from nearby houses during the day, so I used it at night instead—and it happened to be a full moon, which made it perfect. Because the Room was so comfortable, I only used one of the two indoor baths. That bath also had open-air options: a Goemon-style tub with free-flowing natural hot spring water, a circular hot spring bath, and a rectangular tub. The indoor bath area was spacious as well, and there was even a sauna. Dinner was very satisfying in both variety and quality—I left completely full. Breakfast was the same. Meals were served in a private room; I could hear voices from the next room at times, but dining was still comfortable. For relaxing and taking things slow, I think the Room I chose this time is probably the best option. Also worth noting: there’s an older Bose Wave Music System in the Room, and classical CDs played when entering/leaving, which really enhanced the atmosphere.

    Unfortunately, the quality of the Room attendant varied, which was disappointing.

    When we were shown to our Room by a staff member and entered, my husband began reading the Accommodation terms and conditions, but we were told, “I’ll explain it here,” and the document was taken from him. I felt a little disappointed by that response. Dinner was delicious. The rice at breakfast was barley rice. The next day, we took a short walk around Yunokuni no Mori before heading home. Dinner and the various services were very good.

    I was completely satisfied again this time!

    This time, we stayed with our family and relatives, and everyone was very satisfied. Our family stays here every year, and the hospitality never disappoints—our children are already saying they want to come every day and are looking forward to our next trip. The meals were luxurious, and my mother and my sister’s family were delighted as well. The children were especially excited about how spacious the Room was. It was a large Room that was incredibly helpful for a big group, thoughtfully designed so each family could spend time comfortably without feeling self-conscious, allowing us to truly relax. Thank you as always. We will be back again.
