    Consistent comfort, always.

    I have been staying at Asebi-no for over 15 years. While there are a few areas that show the passage of time, the Accommodation is always clean, and I can relax comfortably from the moment I check in. The staff are consistently courteous, and every time I stay here, it feels like coming home to my own familiar place. Both dinner and breakfast are satisfying no matter what season I visit. The open-air bath in the Room is very relaxing, and the private baths are also wonderful—you can enjoy bathing while taking in the changing seasons. The large public bath is spacious and comfortable. This is an Accommodation I hope to continue using for many years to come. Thank you again for another great stay.

    The bath is amazing!

    A perfect place for bath lovers. Each bath has its own charm, and it’s a pleasure to try them all. If you arrive late, it can be disappointing not to get a Reservation at your preferred time, but the Ryokan staff gave helpful advice and worked things out for us. Even so, we were more than satisfied with the open-air bath in our Room. I think we used it about five times. We appreciated having two sets of samue and also yukata provided, but if a bathrobe were available for using the open-air bath in the Room, we could have enjoyed a “soak, cool down, soak again” routine even more. I’d also be happy if the chairs on the terrace were a bit more comfortable for relaxing. Now I understand why this Ryokan is always fully booked.

    I stay here every year and keep coming back—next time, I’d like to visit in autumn.

    This is a wonderful Accommodation. The hot springs, Room, meals, and service are all excellent. The Room is spacious and clean, and you can truly relax. Having two toilets in the Room is very comfortable. The staff’s hospitality is also outstanding. The open-air public bath is spacious and refreshing, and the open-air bath in the Room also lets you unwind at your own pace. The meals are elaborate and delicious. There may have been quite a lot of sashimi. We don’t eat much, so we would have been happy with a bit more local fish, but portion preferences vary from person to person, so it may be difficult to adjust. We would like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

    The private Onsen is wonderful.

    The Onsen and meals are excellent. The staff are also very attentive. However, there is no air purifier in the Room. The hair dryers in the large public bath are not satisfactory. Overall, I think this Ryokan offers great value for money.

    Relax and unwind.

    We visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We fully enjoyed the private baths, large public bath, and the Room's bath. After checking in, we used two private baths and the large public bath while it was still bright outside. At night, we relaxed in the open-air bath in our Room. The next day, we again enjoyed two private baths and the large public bath before ending with a relaxing time in our Room's open-air bath—it was truly amazing. During dinner, you prepared celebratory red rice for us, which deeply moved us. All the dishes were delicious with just the right portions. Thank you very much!

    Returning after approximately three years

    Located in Nakaizu, a bus ride from Shuzenji Station passing numerous stops, this stay once again proved to be highly satisfying despite a gap of over three years since our last visit. Our previous visit was in November, but this time we came in January during the colder season. The Room's towel heater and heated kotatsu were even more appreciated than before. The most affordable "Yama no Kura" rooms are conveniently located on the same floor as the lobby, making movement easy. The indoor corridors are equipped with heaters, and even the anterooms and restrooms are well-heated. This thoughtful design truly impressed us again. The semi-open-air bath attached to the Room can feel slightly chilly during colder months when spending extended time outside the tub for activities like washing hair. However, visiting the indoor public bath is a great alternative. Each Room is warm and comfortable with luxurious amenities like semi-open-air baths paired with delicious meals—a truly indulgent experience. Photos show some of the beautiful fresh flower arrangements throughout the property; there were even ikebana displays in our Room's alcove. Such attention to detail rivals that of five-star Hotels. We arrived slightly early and planned to wait in the lobby but were warmly welcomed with delicious tea and Western-style wagashi while being informed that our Room was ready—an incredibly kind gesture. With an amazing public bath complemented by four private baths and semi-open-air options, we found ourselves delightfully busy enjoying all these facilities! The high-quality water also helped soothe my sensitive skin issues without causing any discomfort—though not fully healed, symptoms improved significantly. One highlight was undoubtedly the exquisite meals. As seen in photos, each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The small portions allowed us to savor various flavors—a delightful dining experience indeed! Special thanks go out to all staff members for their exceptional hospitality—especially one who resembled Saori Itoh during dinner service! Their warmth made us eager for another visit despite its distance from home. Thank you very much for your wonderful care!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    Stayed here for a golf retreat with college friends. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided excellent service, making our stay truly pleasant. The dinner was exceptional with delicious dishes and warm hospitality. The Onsen was also fantastic with amazing water quality. I look forward to visiting again with my wife next time!

    I thoroughly enjoyed my long-awaited Onsen trip.

    We planned an onsen trip to Tanigawa no Yu Asebino as my wife and I finally had matching schedules for the year-end. The journey from Tokyo was smooth without any traffic, and we arrived earlier than expected. Despite our early arrival, the check-in process was handled smoothly. After receiving a tour of the accommodation, we promptly reserved two private onsens. The private bath on the basement floor is located past the outdoor parking area and down a stone staircase. Although it felt chilly around 3 PM due to dropping temperatures, the water temperature was perfect, allowing us to soak comfortably. Following our time in the private bath, we headed to the large public bath where no one else was present yet—an indulgent experience of having a spacious bath all to ourselves. After being thoroughly rejuvenated by the onsen, it was time for dinner—a highlight of our stay. We leisurely enjoyed kaiseki cuisine paired with sake, making it a special evening that also celebrated a birthday. While portions might be slightly large for women, every dish was delicious and finished without waste. The young staff member who served us mentioned they had relocated from Tokyo and shared how relaxing this place is—a sentiment we wholeheartedly agreed with after experiencing multiple soothing baths and delightful meals in such an idyllic setting. Our stay at Asebino lived up to its reputation with exceptional onsen facilities and dining experiences that allowed us to fully unwind in comfort. We would love to visit again someday—thank you very much!

    Best Time for Autumn Leaves

    Stayed on November 24, 2025. Fortunately, it was the perfect timing for autumn leaves. The view of the autumn foliage from the private open-air bath on the top floor was stunning. The kaiseki dinner was delicious, and I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing time.

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night and was impressed by the beautiful atmosphere upon entering the facility. The explanation of the room and facilities was thorough, and I was able to relax in a room with a private open-air bath. The meals were served in appropriate portions and timing, and they were very delicious. All staff members were very kind, but the hospitality of the staff who handled breakfast was particularly outstanding, making for a very pleasant experience. As for areas of improvement, it would be appreciated if beverages in the room were complimentary. Additionally, having tea sweets like manju would enhance relaxation time even more. One disappointing experience occurred when I went to the front desk at midnight for my reserved private bath time. The staff on duty responded with "Private bath? At this hour?" without any greeting, which left me feeling unpleasant. However, from breakfast onwards through check-out and while waiting for my car, other staff members provided excellent service that completely erased any negative feelings! I would love to visit again!

    Delicious meals!

    This is probably my 4th or 5th stay, and the usual room at Hana no Kura is always very comfortable. In the morning, I used the open-air bath in the room, and while the water temperature was slightly low at first, I was able to adjust it by adding more hot water. It soon reached a perfect temperature, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Onsen. The meals had a wonderful dashi flavor with a light seasoning that suited my taste perfectly. I hope this flavor will be preserved forever.

    I have been visiting for over 10 years, and after a year and a half since my last visit, I deeply felt once again, "This is truly a wonderful accommodation." Surrounded by the tranquility where only the sound of the stream can be heard, enjoying the bath while gazing at the lingering autumn leaves. The exceptionally delicious meals and the elegant atmosphere without any gaudiness... It brings such peace to my heart. Both my husband and I met other guests in the baths who were all repeat visitors. "I understand why you want to come back," is something I completely agree with. Thank you for providing such a wonderful retreat.

    It was early Decembe...

    It was early December, but the autumn leaves were still beautiful. The view from the room was great, and each bath was wonderfully relaxing. The meals were especially exquisite. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and I was impressed with each one that came out. I looked forward to seeing what would come next. On our way back, we were allowed to leave our car and take a walk around nearby Deai Bridge and Seko Gorge. This is the only accommodation we keep coming back to!

    Peaceful Accommodation

    This accommodation is highly recommended when you are completely exhausted both physically and mentally. It is a very quiet accommodation where you can soak in the onsen, watch the trees swaying in the wind, and listen to the sound of the stream to rejuvenate yourself.

    This was our second ...

    This was our second visit following last year. Since the autumn leaves were almost over last time, we made the Reservation about three weeks earlier this year. The autumn foliage was absolutely beautiful. The facility was quiet and relaxing. The meals were as exquisite as ever, with beautifully crafted dishes and delicious flavors. We enjoyed using all three private baths and were very satisfied. Additionally, the staff members were courteous, making our stay pleasant. Thank you very much!

    Very good.

    We visited during the autumn foliage season. The view from the lobby was breathtaking. This time, we stayed in the "Hana no Kura" Room, which had a spacious and clean open-air bath and a sunken kotatsu, allowing us to relax completely. The large open-air bath was so spacious it made us laugh with joy, and we even had it all to ourselves! The meals were perfectly portioned and delicious. Who would have thought we could enjoy mangoes and dragon fruits in Izu? It became a wonderful memory for my daughter and me. Thank you very much!

    A wonderful accommodation.

    I stayed here with my wife for the first time. The view of the trees from the lobby and the atmosphere created by the furniture and decor provided a very relaxing space. The "Hana no Kura" room had convenient access to both the lobby and private Onsen, which was very helpful. The baths, which I was most looking forward to, each had their own charm, making it difficult to rank them. The meals were served at just the right temperature—cold dishes cold and warm dishes warm—and were absolutely delicious. Having enjoyed various Onsen Ryokans and Hotels in the past, this accommodation is undoubtedly top-level. I would love to visit again during a different season. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    You will undoubtedly feel relaxed.

    A family of four, our second stay, and we stayed in a Room in Yama no Kura. Last time, we enjoyed a spacious Room in Hana no Kura 211 and relaxed. This time, although the Room in Yama no Kura was only a Japanese-style room, it had charm and we were very satisfied. The accommodation was very quiet and peaceful. The Onsen, cuisine, and atmosphere of the Accommodation were excellent. The staff members were all kind with outstanding hospitality. The price was reasonable as well, making us want to visit again as we returned home. However, there is one thing I sincerely hope can be improved: smoking in guest rooms. While relaxing on the terrace enjoying the view or soaking in the private open-air bath attached to the Room—both incredibly pleasant experiences—the smell of cigarettes wafted over and ruined the moment for us. Since there seem to be designated smoking areas throughout the facility, could smokers please be restricted to using those areas only? We hope that during our next stay there will be no cigarette smell drifting into our space!

    We had a wonderful time.

    I have stayed at this accommodation more than 10 times. The meals this time were also very delicious, and the hospitality and service remained excellent, allowing me to enjoy a pleasant one-night, two-day stay. I look forward to visiting again around June next year.

    The quality of meals has declined.

    I really like this accommodation, but there were a few things that caught my attention this time. The sashimi was full of sinews and seemed to be the leftover edges. The dishes overall were served in very small portions, almost like miniatures. There were cobwebs here and there, which made me wonder if the room cleaning was thorough enough. Also, something I've thought about before: The private bath can only be reserved once per stay according to the rules, but sometimes it remains unreserved and unused. I would appreciate it if a second reservation could be allowed when no one has reserved it by the start time of the reservation slot.

    Wedding Anniversary!

    Each Room has an open-air bath, providing a relaxing experience! The large public bath is available 24 hours with a gender-swapping system, so you can enjoy it anytime! The dinner was incredibly delicious, the best we've ever had! The staff were very friendly and had wonderful smiles. The private bath is highly recommended.

    Always satisfying, no matter when you visit.

    I am a repeat guest, but this time I visited for the first time with a family member. They were very pleased and mentioned wanting to bring the whole family next time. No matter when I visit, I always feel relaxed while enjoying the open-air bath in the Room, the large public bath, or the private bath while listening to the sound of the river flow. The staff in charge of meals were great conversationalists, making dining both enjoyable and entertaining. I look forward to visiting again during a different season.

    The meals are perfect.

    We stayed for one night as a group of five mature travelers. The room was spacious enough for all of us, clean, and the private open-air bath in the room was also well-maintained and very enjoyable. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the delicious meals. Having stayed at various accommodations within the same price range over the years, we found that the food here stood out with carefully selected ingredients and creative touches, making it exceptionally delightful. Even something as seemingly simple as the morning salad had an extraordinary taste. If we were to point out any drawbacks, it would be that the changing and washing areas in the large public bath felt slightly outdated, and the path to the private bath was somewhat dark and distant. However, the large public bath itself was spacious with a charming atmosphere where we could relax while gazing at lush greenery. The service provided by all staff members was impeccable. Although we usually prefer exploring new accommodations rather than revisiting ones we've already stayed at over many years, this ryokan left such a strong impression that we would love to return again someday.
