    The cuisine is excellent, but the bath is not very impressive.

    I went on a trip with my wife to relax on my birthday. I was hoping to soak in an Onsen and unwind, but the public bath only had one tub and there was no open-air bath. It was my fault for not researching beforehand, but I was disappointed as I had been looking forward to relaxing in an Onsen. However, the meals were fantastic both in the morning and evening—absolutely delicious! It felt like dining at a high-end Kyoto restaurant, and I was very satisfied. The hospitality was excellent, making it a wonderful Ryokan overall.

    Fireworks Festival

    Stayed during the Atami Fireworks Festival. The Ryokan is about a 10-minute walk from the fireworks launch site, making it convenient to enjoy dinner at the accommodation before heading out. Dinner was served in an elegant private room, with an excellent menu featuring high-quality ingredients and superb flavors. The room was spacious like a suite and offered beautiful views of Atami Port. The garden within the Ryokan was stunning, and feeding the koi fish in the pond was delightful. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, leaving me deeply moved. Thank you very much!

    I had a relaxing stay.

    We chose Atami nearby for a family trip. Unlike the area around the station, it was quiet and we were able to relax. The room's bath had a pleasant aroma of cypress, and we enjoyed it multiple times. The abundance of towels was helpful, and fresh ones were provided in the morning. Thank you to S-san for your kind assistance from start to finish. The meals were plentiful, so my son helped with some portions, and the sake was delicious. The souvenir ohagi was very well-received and turned out to be an excellent choice. It was an accommodation we would love to use again!

    It was wonderful!!

    It was my first trip alone with my elderly mother. I read the reviews and decided to make a reservation as everything, including the meals, seemed excellent. Although I had checked the website beforehand, everything from the warm welcome at the entrance exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, which left me deeply impressed. It was very comfortable throughout our stay. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and every dish had a rich flavor from the broth, tasted amazing, looked beautiful, and came in an impressive variety of courses. The meticulous preparation truly reflected that it is a ryokan with fine dining standards. The bath area was well-maintained and clean, with spotless changing rooms that made it very pleasant to use. We also loved strolling through the stunning garden—it was truly wonderful. Lastly, thank you so much for arranging a high-floor corner room with great views for us and providing private dining for our meals. Not only I but also my mother were deeply moved—she even shed tears of joy... To all of your amazing staff members: thank you for creating such wonderful memories for us! We hope to visit again together someday!

    From the elegant entrance that raised our expectations, it was truly a wonderful Ryokan. The staff's attentiveness, as well as the cleanliness of the Room and bath, made our stay very comfortable. Above all, the food was absolutely delicious. My elderly parents were also extremely pleased.

    An accommodation you'd want to make your regular stay. The meals are exceptionally well-prepared, offering Kyoto-style kaiseki hospitality with a rich flavor that is appreciated by those from the Kanto region. The service is also heartfelt and attentive.

    The cuisine was truly exceptional.

    If you are looking for an accommodation in Atami that focuses on cuisine, Korantei is undoubtedly the best choice. We chose Korantei for a trip to celebrate my parent's birthday after hearing its excellent reputation. The food was absolutely delicious, with creative touches in the menu that left us very satisfied. However, repeated mistakes by the room staff left an overall disappointing impression of our stay. Additionally, some services commonly provided at other ryokans were not offered here, which raised some questions. With such exceptional kaiseki cuisine being served, it seems necessary to improve the service level of the room staff; otherwise, it would be unfair to the efforts of the kitchen team. This time we enjoyed their summer dishes and hope to return in winter for another chance while expecting improvements in room service quality. To all kitchen staff members: thank you so much for your thoughtful preparations and attention to detail! If you're choosing an accommodation in Atami with a focus on cuisine, Korantei is definitely a great option!

    As expected from a Ryokan specializing in fine dining, the meal quality is exceptional.

    The meals were absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed a variety of thoughtfully prepared dishes. From the main courses to the perfectly seasoned pickles at breakfast, everything was exceptional. We were extremely satisfied and would love to visit again!

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. We stayed in the detached Bamboo Room to celebrate my mother's birthday. The cuisine was truly impressive, as expected from a fine ryokan restaurant, with meticulous attention to detail in knife work, presentation, and seasoning from salt to soy sauce. We had a wonderful and enjoyable time. The room's bath featured a cypress-scented tub with elegant hot water. The large public bath on the upper floors offered stunning ocean views and was very relaxing. When my wife mentioned being bitten by an insect, someone kindly brought us ointment without hesitation—a thoughtful gesture indeed. It was an accommodation where we could spend our time peacefully and comfortably. We would love to visit again!

    Excellent customer service

    It was my first stay. During dinner, as I was dining alone and eating quickly, the staff kindly asked if they should speed up the serving pace. I have stayed at many ryokans before, but this was by far the most attentive and excellent service I have ever experienced.

    It was a very lovely...

    It was a very lovely Hotel. All the staff were wonderful, and I had a pleasant time. The Room was spacious, and the bath offered a relaxing view. Of course, the large public bath was also fantastic. It was great to have fresh bath towels available each time. The meals were absolutely excellent. They looked beautiful and tasted amazing. I would definitely love to stay here again!

    It was excellent.

    Wonderful!

    The Room's bath and the shared bath were amazing! I wonder how many times I used them. Plenty of towels were provided, so it was fine to bathe as many times as I wanted! The Room was spacious, and we could enjoy our meals leisurely in the room. Although we are two light eaters, we ended up feeling completely full (haha). Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, so we made an effort to finish everything. The service was excellent as well. Also, there was a 24-hour MaxValu supermarket nearby, so getting drinks was super convenient. I’ll definitely come back again!

    I would love to stay here again.

    1. The staff's hospitality was excellent. 2. The room was very clean and comfortable. 3. The garden was also wonderful, and I’m glad I chose this accommodation. 4. The meals were very delicious, but if I may say, I would have preferred fewer dishes with at least one luxurious item that is not usually served in daily life.

    A Tranquil Moment

    I stayed with a friend to enjoy the Onsen and meals in Atami. The staff at the accommodation provided excellent service, and the Kaiseki cuisine was delicious. Although it had an older charm compared to large hotels, renovations had been made, and the room was spacious, allowing us to relax comfortably and have a very satisfying trip. However, it was a bit disappointing that the bath on the top floor alternated usage, changing the view, and that there was no open-air bath.

    It was average.

    The onsen in the large public bath, which I was looking forward to, had a smell of disinfectant and was somewhat disappointing. The meals were served hot or cold as appropriate and freshly prepared. The taste was good but not particularly special. Although we dined in a private room, there were loud instructions from staff outside and the sound of footsteps moving around. The location is far from the station, and there is no Shuttle Service available, so be cautious if you plan to use the train. I couldn't book a taxi through my app either, so I asked the front desk for assistance. All staff members greeted us with smiles and provided friendly service. By the way, when checking in, I requested a DVD player rental but was told that "there are no rentals available," even though it is mentioned on their website.

    An excellent and well-maintained Ryokan

    The building appears slightly old, but it has been renovated and is kept very clean. There were no complaints about the service, meals, Onsen, or amenities. I had a very comfortable stay. Despite being the high season with many guests, they seemed to manage meal timings well, and there were no issues such as staff not responding when called or overcrowded baths. I would love to stay here again when visiting Atami.

    Instead of attending the MLB opening game, enjoy a trip to Atami.

    As a Ryokan with a restaurant, the appetizers, soups, sashimi, and other dishes are both high in quality and quantity. The fresh and polite service by the young staff was also pleasant. While the guest rooms and large public baths show signs of aging, they are clean and well-maintained. This is a strong candidate for reasonably priced accommodation in Atami.

    Celebrate with lively friends

    We planned a commemorative stay to celebrate all five of our high school tennis friends reaching senior age. Additionally, it coincided with a friend's birthday, so we combined it with a birthday celebration. After enjoying an extravagant and delicious dinner that was more than enough to satisfy us, we were deeply moved by the surprise cake from one of our friends. The cake, a "strawberry shortcake," was specially ordered by the accommodation after our friend consulted them about bringing in a cake. Thank you to the front desk staff and all the attendants for your thoughtful care. It was a wonderful opportunity to relax and created great memories for us all.

    Repeat is...

    The style was nice, the location was good, and the meals were satisfying. Unfortunately, for a high-end Ryokan that should boast its Onsen, there was no open-air bath, and the size difference between the men's and women's baths was too great. At night, it was dark inside the bath to a frightening degree. Perhaps due to its age, there were many drafts in the dining area making it cold at our feet and difficult to fully enjoy our meal. As for customer service at a high-end Ryokan, I wished for more delicacy in explaining room steps or meal details. It's a nice Ryokan but I'm unsure if I would repeat my stay.

    Stays for a 70th birthday celebration with six junior high school classmates (one night stay on a Wednesday in October)

    The overall cost performance was good because I was able to use a Discount Coupon. The Facility was splendid and well-maintained. They prepared a private room for the dining venue, and there were many dishes, all of which were delicious (breakfast also had many small bowls). I was moved by the fact that they had prepared two sets of purple chanchanko and daikoku hats for the 70th birthday celebration. Taking commemorative photos made for a wonderful memory. Thank you very much. What I felt a little disappointed about was that the large public bath was small, with a bathtub for about 3-4 adults and a washing area for about 7-8 people. There were no hair styling products, etc.

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night in a Room with an open-air bath, and I was deeply moved by the staff who kindly replaced the Room towels every time they came for meals, futon, and morning tea. I am truly grateful for their pleasant smile. Also, the food was incredibly delicious, and I would love to have that meal again.

    Spend the New Year at a long-established Ryokan

    I chose this Ryokan "Koran-tei" for New Year's from Los Angeles. The New Year's Eve meal and New Year's Osechi were of the highest quality. I intended to eat only about half because I didn't want to gain weight, but I ended up almost finishing it... ^^ I wrote that the food was excellent, but even more so, the staff were all very kind and pleasant, and their "spirit of hospitality" was wonderful. The garden of the Ryokan was also lovely. ^^

    The food was delicious.

    As it was a Ryokan with a restaurant, we visited for the meals. I think it was more delicious than expected. Although we often leave food uneaten at Ryokans, we ate almost everything. The prompt service suited us as a couple. However, upon arrival, we were greeted with a suspicious "Are you a guest staying here?" which left us puzzled. Is there any other possibility? Also, although our Plan was the "Kouan Counter Plan," the dining location was a different banquet hall. It was fine, but changing something named in the Plan without explanation also left us puzzled. The checkout time of the Property is 11 AM, but this time it was a 10 AM checkout (it was our oversight, but it was such an IKYU Plan), which was quite disappointing. But all the dishes were truly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

    High-quality Stays

    Everywhere Hotel, Ryokan hospitality is a given. Here at Koran-tei (Koran-tei) we felt warmth in the casual, homely conversations with the staff. The meals were Japanese kaiseki; while not made with particularly special ingredients, the chef's meticulous creativity was evident. My wife was approached in the bath by a young person who said, "It was delicious," and she agreed wholeheartedly. As we enter our later years, we felt we had found a regular stay close to the city center in Atami.
