    It was amazing!

This was my long-awaited trip to Huis Ten Bosch. I considered staying at one of the official Hotels inside the park, but chose this Hotel for its extensive Facilities, the large number of positive Reviews, and the reassurance of the Okura brand. Even before arriving at the main entrance by car, I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the building’s exterior. The stunning stepped atrium from the 1st to 3rd floors also set an exciting tone for a truly luxurious stay. The female bell staff member was exceptionally polite and kind, saying, “We’ll take your luggage up via a separate elevator, so please go ahead to your Room.” When I entered, there was an adorable teddy bear on the table by the window. The message card read, “Happy Birthday,” and since it was my birthday month, it was such a delightful surprise! She also wished me a happy birthday in person, which really moved me. From my Room we could see not only Huis Ten Bosch but also views out to open water—an amazing panorama. It was during the Obon holiday period so there must have been many guests staying, yet thanks to how spacious the Hotel is overall, it never felt crowded. Above all else, every staff member’s attentive service stood out. I’ve stayed at many Hotels and usually find something to complain about somewhere—but this time there wasn’t a single issue, and I enjoyed every moment in complete comfort. While this is clearly a Hotel designed with visits to Huis Ten Bosch in mind, once you cross the bridge there’s also a JR station (remarkably close to the waterfront), so on day two we took the train and went as far as Sasebo. It’s also very useful as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki City or Sasebo. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety with plenty of both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating far too much. This was my first time visiting Nagasaki and Huis Ten Bosch, and it became an unforgettable trip full of wonderful memories. Next time I’d love to stay longer—this truly is an outstanding Hotel. Thank you very much!

    We were extremely satisfied.

Our family of five stayed for two nights. We had a Japanese-Western style Room, which was clean and had a great view; we could even watch fireworks at night. The only drawback was that the floor futon laid out in the tatami area was thin and gave me back pain. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, including Nagasaki specialties, and everything was delicious—especially the sara udon, which surprised us with how good it was. The bath is an Onsen, and my body stayed warm for quite a while afterward. After 9:00 p.m., it got very crowded, and there was even a line to wash up. When I entered the tub, I felt something touch my foot; when I picked it up, it turned out to be a razor—one wrong step and someone could have been injured. This may be an issue of individual manners, but it might be best to prohibit bringing razors into the bathing area. Our child got scared and stopped using the tub after that. You can also enter Huis Ten Bosch by boat from within the park area, which adds an exciting attraction-like experience that our kids really enjoyed. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

    Standard.

I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room on the 4th floor. Compared with the photos of the Park View Twin, the view is inferior. If you value the scenery, I cannot recommend this Room. Even compared with rooms at a certain mountain villa in Mejiro, Tokyo, or a Hotel associated with Eiichi Shibusawa at a similar price point, the amenities and service here are far below that level. In Osaka and Kyoto, there are plenty of Business Hotels at about this level; they cost less and have newer Facilities because they were built for Expo-related demand. It makes me wonder if competing Hotels around Huis Ten Bosch are simply too low in quality. Breakfast was delicious. The chef at the omelet station and local cuisine area was kind, attentive, and pleasant.

I’m glad I stayed at this casual Okura—there’s an Onsen, and the Room was clean.

    Thank you.

This trip was to celebrate our 60th birthdays with friends from our student days. We chose this Hotel because we wanted to enjoy Huis Ten Bosch, soak in the Onsen, and relax. When we asked the front desk if we could borrow red celebratory vests, they kindly lent us three sets... and on top of that, they gave us three original Hotel Okura teddy bears as a gift. It rained on the first day and our spirits were low, but we are truly grateful for the staff’s thoughtful care. This trip has become an unforgettable memory... and we will do our best to stay healthy so we can come back again in 10 years. The meals were delicious, and we were very satisfied with the free-flowing natural hot spring Onsen. Thank you very much to all the staff.

    Wonderful!

Adjacent to Huis Ten Bosch, this Hotel offers an excellent Onsen Facility. The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious, and the staff service is outstanding—I would like to stay here again.

The breakfast was delicious, and I was very satisfied.

This was my second stay. We used a twin Room as a triple, and it was spacious enough to be very comfortable. The large public bath was also wonderful. It was truly convenient being so close to Huis Ten Bosch. The first time I came by JR, I even mistook this Amsterdam Station-style building for Huis Ten Bosch. Above all, the view from the breakfast buffet venue felt like another world and was beautiful, and every dish was genuinely delicious. My friend who came with me said it was the best breakfast they’ve ever had. I was also happy that there were several types of coffee to choose from, and they were very tasty. I would definitely like to stay again next time.

    Thank you for your support.

I arrived on a rainy day with low expectations, but the warm smile and service from the woman at the luggage desk immediately lifted my spirits. From there, the enjoyable time continued to the very end, and I’m glad I chose Okura. The Onsen had wonderfully soothing water that felt great on my body. They also kindly helped me with my return train arrangements—thank you for all your support. I would love to stay again next time.

Even if you’re not visiting Huis Ten Bosch, this is a Hotel you’ll want to stay at for a relaxing getaway!

It was my first time visiting Huis Ten Bosch, and I made a Reservation thinking Okura would be a safe choice. It exceeded my expectations—I was truly satisfied. When I arrived at Huis Ten Bosch by bus, the Hotel was right in front of me, so I had no trouble finding the front desk. Before I even spoke up, a staff member approached me and helped me store my luggage smoothly. I stopped by the front desk several times during my stay, and not once did I have to initiate—everyone was very attentive. It rained that day, but the park was close and much of the route had covered walkways, so it wasn’t a hassle to return to the Hotel for breaks. Traveling by canal cruiser also felt special and was a great touch. I chose a park-side Room, which made it easy to recharge whenever I came back—and even after closing time, I could still enjoy the lingering atmosphere. Having a balcony was another plus. The closet had plenty of hangers, and the shoe dryer was incredibly helpful! After walking around Huis Ten Bosch—and getting caught in the rain—I was really looking forward to the Onsen. At check-in, we received bathing tickets that are collected at the large public bath. It seems that if you still have your ticket at check-out, your Hot Spring Tax will be refunded. Exchanging the bathing ticket for a locker key also felt practical and well organized. The Room had towels and amenities as well, but they were also available at the public bath—so it was great being able to go empty-handed. However, I found the staff at the public bath reception rather curt throughout. This may only have stood out because all other staff were exceptionally wonderful, but it was disappointing. There’s also a convenience store inside the Hotel along with a bakery shop, patisserie shop, and gift shop/marketplace area—so there was nothing we lacked. The patisserie in particular felt very reasonably priced compared with Okura Tokyo while still tasting excellent; when I said I would eat in my Room, they kindly included forks as well. I went to breakfast around 7:30 AM. There was no wait and we were seated smoothly; breakfast with views of Wassenaar Village was lovely. Everything tasted great. In addition to Nagasaki-style dishes there were three omelet options—and Okura’s French toast is always delicious no matter when you have it. Both facilities and service were thoughtful down to every detail—I couldn’t have been happier. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again even just for a relaxing staycation without going into Huis Ten Bosch itself.

    The Onsen was excellent.

Overall it was good, but the building felt a bit old and I could hear noise from other rooms. It would also be nice to have a microwave in places like the elevator hall.

Perhaps because it was busy, there were a few things that concerned me.

We stayed here the night before visiting Huis Ten Bosch. As it was the first day of a three-day holiday weekend and the hotel was nearly fully booked, we made a last-minute Reservation (Room-assigned Plan). However, we found some sweets on the floor near the bed, which was disappointing in terms of cleanliness. They blended in with the carpet color and were easy to miss. We also felt that the service at check-in was somewhat businesslike. On the other hand, in addition to the convenient access to Huis Ten Bosch, the exterior and garden were wonderful, and we felt it was a Facility with a great atmosphere. If we had made our Reservation well in advance, we might have had a different impression.

It was a very good Hotel.

The staff were wonderful. I have stayed at many Hotels, and this was among the very best in terms of service. The night before our stay, my travel companion (my mother in her 70s) told me she had hurt her foot. I called the Hotel on the morning of our stay just in case, and fortunately they had a wheelchair available and were able to lend it to us. Thanks to that, she was able to fully enjoy Huis Ten Bosch, and we were also able to return on the guest-only Canal Cruiser, which made things much easier for the person pushing the wheelchair as well. The view from our Room was great, and both night and morning felt truly special. Thank you very much.

The Hotel’s beautiful exterior is the first thing you notice when you arrive at the station, and its convenient location makes it easy to drop off your luggage and head straight to Huis Ten Bosch. From a park-side Room, you can even watch the fireworks. There is also an Onsen, and the staff were very kind. I’m really glad I chose this Hotel. Thank you very much.

It was an old but lovely Hotel!

For my first trip to Huis Ten Bosch in 30 years, I spent a lot of time deciding which Hotel to choose. After considering the Room size, facilities, and the balance with the accommodation cost, I chose Okura. First of all, the exterior was beautiful, and that alone got me excited. After checking in and leaving our luggage, we had a ticket-included Plan, so we picked up our tickets right away and headed to Huis Ten Bosch by the cruiser from the Hotel. The front desk staff and the cruiser staff were all very kind, polite, and pleasant. After Huis Ten Bosch closed for the day and we returned to the Hotel, there was a large school trip group making a huge commotion in both the lobby area and around the elevators. We had to go to the front desk to get our Room key cards, but there were so many people that we could barely even reach the escalator. A member of staff noticed us immediately and came over right away, guiding us through between students all the way to the escalator—this really helped. I also worried that if they took over all of the elevators like that, we wouldn’t be able to get up to our Room. However, it seemed they had planned for this: of the two elevator banks on either side, they limited use so only one side was used by them. Thankfully, it was stress-free for us. There is also a large public bath (Onsen), which I was looking forward to; however it was exactly during peak hours so I gave up. It’s a bit disappointing that I only used the bath in my Room instead—but overall, the Room was comfortable. Breakfast had lots of variety and was enjoyable as well—I think it’s a very good Hotel. If I have another chance,I would definitely like stay here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style at Camellia, with excellent ingredients and seasoning. The Onsen facility was clean and comfortable, with towels provided, allowing for multiple visits, which was a delight. The room offered a great view of Huis Ten Bosch, and we could also enjoy the fireworks. Thank you for making our mother-daughter trip after a long time so enjoyable!

Enjoyed a wonderful view and a comfortable stay.

Great access from Huis Ten Bosch Station and excellent access to the Huis Ten Bosch park. The building, designed to resemble a Dutch station, felt like part of Huis Ten Bosch itself, offering a foreign atmosphere from its exterior. Inside the Hotel, it felt more like a comfortable domestic stay rather than foreign-style. The Room size, bathroom space, meals—everything was cozy and made for a pleasant stay. The view from the Room's window of Wassenaar villas in Huis Ten Bosch and Domtoren in the distance was captivating and never got boring. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options in a bright atmosphere and was delicious. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Huis Ten Bosch!

It was my first visit, and the Hotel staff responded kindly to my inquiries. I was delighted with the surprise birthday gift. The view of Huis Ten Bosch from the Room was beautiful and enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, with dishes like sea bream rice soup, sara udon, and a variety of Japanese and Western options—all very satisfying. I would love to visit again.

We stayed as a group of three, including my parents, and enjoyed dinner at Camellia and breakfast at Sakura. The room's beds, pillows, amenities were refined, and a humidifier was provided, allowing for a comfortable stay. Both the Western and Japanese meals were extremely delicious and satisfying. My parents were very pleased as well, so we plan to visit again in spring. The hospitality and service were excellent. Thank you very much!

    Satisfied

I have stayed at several Hotels in Huis Ten Bosch, but this time, as a group of three generations with six people, we chose the Okura's Japanese-Western Room. It was spacious, had two sinks, and allowed us to relax comfortably. Since my birthday is in August, I was surprised and delighted to find an adorable teddy bear birthday gift waiting in the Room when we arrived. Thank you so much! The breakfast was also very delicious. We used the boat to go to the park as well. Although the public bath was crowded due to timing, it was nice that towels were provided there. However, the open-air bath was extremely hot and difficult to enjoy for long periods of time. Having a convenience store downstairs made it easy to grab rice balls or drinks before heading to the pool—it was very helpful! We had a wonderful stay overall.

    The location was great, but...

This was my second stay, but compared to a few years ago, the quality has declined. It felt like they were either too lazy or just wanted to rush through serving guests. Even if they don't want to do something, it shouldn't show in their attitude. The front desk service was not good. The restaurant staff on the first day, a gentleman, provided excellent service. He listened seriously about severe allergies and even brought an allergy chart for the next day. The problem occurred on the third day. Despite being told that bananas would not be served during our stay, bananas were served on the third day. This is a life-threatening issue and should have been handled properly. When I mentioned this to a nearby staff member and reminded them of my banana allergy, they communicated via intercom saying something like "I think that person has an allergy." Afterward, gloves and tongs were provided for me to use, but their response was slow and inadequate. Also, referring to me as "that person"? Couldn't they say "the guest with an allergy"? I don’t expect special treatment because of my allergies; however, since it’s a matter of life and death, I expected better communication and proper handling regarding allergies. Guests with allergies need to exercise caution here. I will not be staying here again.

The best Plan with breakfast included!

Thank you for your hospitality! I initially booked an affordable Station View Twin but was upgraded to a Park View Twin Room, which I greatly appreciated. The breakfast quality was excellent and delicious. Furthermore, the Onsen had outstanding water quality and cleanliness! Additionally, the email correspondence regarding my luggage inquiry beforehand was excellent, allowing me to send my suitcase with peace of mind. I plan to stay at this Hotel again when I return home.

The exterior and location are excellent.

The majestic building that catches your eye as soon as you arrive at the station is truly impressive. Even if you arrive in the morning, you can conveniently leave your luggage and directly enter Huis Ten Bosch via a canal cruise from the hotel. Re-entry is allowed, so after taking a short break at the hotel, you can enjoy yourself leisurely until closing time. As a hotel for enjoying Huis Ten Bosch, it is perfect. However, since many guests follow a similar schedule, the large public bath becomes very crowded after closing time (not sure if this only happens on weekends). The breakfast restaurant was also quite full even around 7 AM. The local dishes like sea bream chazuke in the buffet were delightful.

    I want to come back!

Although the weather was unfortunate, the Hotel was excellent. We chose a plan with breakfast and dinner included, and not only was the food delicious, but the staff's service was also outstanding. I have loved The Okura in Toranomon since I was young, and the staff here were equally pleasant and accommodating. Looking forward to our next stay!
