    It’s very conveniently located near the station.

    It was close to the nearest station and easy to find, which was great. I was a bit anxious staying alone in a place I didn’t know at all, but after sightseeing and getting tired, I could come back to the Hotel to cool down and then head out again. I chose the plan with breakfast and had high expectations, but there wasn’t anything particularly new or unique. However, it was nice that the Hotel staff came around to each table and asked, “Would you like some?” while offering curry bread, ice cream puffs, macarons, and more. The Facility is somewhat old, but it was very well cleaned, and I had a comfortable two-night stay. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again.

    Excellent

    This was my first stay, and both the Hotel’s location and the surrounding area were great—I really felt I made the right choice choosing this Hotel (lol). The atmosphere of the Hotel was also amazing!

    The refrigerator is not available.

    The refrigerator wasn’t cooling, and all the groceries I bought went bad. When I informed the front desk at checkout, I was told they would check the room. I left my luggage and expected some follow-up when I picked it up, but nothing was said. In the end, there was no internal communication and no apology, which made for a very disappointing stay. I wasn’t expecting compensation, but I was extremely upset by the lack of any apology. Honestly, this seemed like an issue where compensation would have been warranted.

    A Quiet Hotel Near Osaka Station

    It was very close to Osaka Station, which was convenient. The interior had a lovely, slightly antique European style. The Room was spacious and relaxing. The staff were also very courteous and attentive.

    Both my companion and I were very satisfied!

    Whenever I stay in Umeda, I always choose this Accommodation as my regular place. This time, I made a Reservation for two single Rooms for a trip with a friend. Not only my Room as a Diamond member, but my friend’s Room was also upgraded. The food was delicious, and my friend was very satisfied—so I felt proud. 　If it were a little closer to the station, it would be perfect.

    A conveniently located Hotel near Osaka Station where you can relax in elegance.

    Conveniently located near Osaka Station with excellent access, yet the Hotel itself feels elegant, quiet, and relaxing, allowing me to unwind in comfort. The front desk area and the Hotel’s decor and furnishings—perhaps Rococo-inspired—create a classical, light, and glamorous atmosphere throughout. Breakfast served in a Room with beautiful ceiling details is especially noteworthy for its deliciousness. I chose the Western-style breakfast, but the Japanese options were also extensive; it was the best meal I had during my stay in Osaka. The front desk staff were outstanding, and everyone—from the waitstaff and chefs to the Room attendants—greeted me warmly, making my stay truly pleasant from start to finish.

    Different from the previous triple room.

    This time we mainly just needed a place to sleep, so we stayed at this Hotel again because we had a good impression before. The location is excellent. Given the convenience, the rate is affordable, so I think the value for money is great. However, the triple Room we stayed in this time was extremely small—just moving around inside was difficult—so knowing how the triple Room was last time, I ended up regretting it a bit. The beds were packed tightly into the Room, there was no space even to open a small suitcase, and the walkway was only wide enough for one person to pass at a time. We also stayed in a triple Room last time, and it matched the photos on the website then. This time it clearly felt different, so I looked into it afterward and guessed from the Room’s location that it might have been a corner twin. A corner twin has windows on two sides, but one window sits in an alcove in the wall. During our stay, an extra bed had been placed in that alcove to make it “triple,” but as a result the layout didn’t function at all. Worse still, placing that bed completely blocked that window side; since even the wooden shutters couldn’t be opened, there was none of the natural light that should be an advantage of a corner twin—just a dark and cramped Room. The bed also felt wider than last time, so I checked and found that corner twins are listed as having beds 10 cm wider than those in standard triple Rooms—which may have made it feel even tighter. The Hotel separates twin Rooms and triple Rooms by category. I made my Reservation for a triple Room, but turning what is already quite tight—a twin Room with larger beds—into a triple by forcing in an extra bed feels very disappointing. It may be because I booked using an inexpensive last-minute offer; if so, I would have appreciated clearer notes such as “limited conditions” or “3 guests using a twin Room.” These days Osaka has many Business Hotels offering compact yet clean and functional Rooms. Monterey’s atmosphere and location are wonderful, but perhaps it’s time for improvements within limits that don’t compromise its style…

    Always happy to welcome you back.

    I stay here whenever I travel to Osaka for business. This time, I had made a Reservation for a single Room at short notice, but at check-in they kindly upgraded me to a double. The hotel is conveniently located near the station, and it is quiet and comfortable.

    It was comfortable!

    We stayed for two nights for a trip to USJ and Kobe. The Accommodation is very close to the station, in a great location, and extremely convenient. They stored our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, so we were able to fully enjoy sightseeing and shopping. It was my first stay in about 25 years, and just as I remembered, the interior was calm and relaxing. Despite being so close to the station, we hardly noticed any train noise. The mattress firmness was also exactly to my liking, and I slept very well. One disappointing point was that the shelf in the washroom (for bath towels) was wobbly and tilted. It probably wouldn’t fall, but I found myself wondering if it was safe while placing light clothing on it.

    The interior is gorgeous, but the breakfast venue is a bit disappointing.

    I stayed here again after a long time. The interior still has a European-style design, giving it an exotic atmosphere. However, I was disappointed at breakfast: there was a sign saying to wait until staff guided you, but no staff were present, so I had to wait for quite a while to enter even though there were empty seats. At the buffet, several items were out of stock, and some plates were also unavailable. Even after requesting refills, I waited more than 10 minutes and they still were not replenished. In the end, I couldn’t eat what I wanted and left the breakfast area.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    I was asleep when I suddenly heard a loud noise and woke up startled. Sound may carry easily. I thought it would be convenient if the outlet for the hot-water dispenser were near the desk. Other than that, I was satisfied. The staff were kind as well. Next time, I’d like to spend more time enjoying the Hotel. Thank you.

    A lovely classic Hotel

    The Hotel exterior was under renovation, but the classic interior alone made me excited. The waiting area at the front desk on the 8th floor and the elevator, as well as the Room door, bathroom tiles, and clock—everything was so charming that I took tons of photos. The towels and pajamas were also high quality and comfortable. It was a Hotel I’m glad I stayed at.

    We’re delighted with the luxurious breakfast!

    Because the exterior walls were under construction, I couldn’t enjoy the building’s appearance, but the lobby, elevators, front desk, and Room all had a classic style and a wonderful atmosphere. Breakfast was very luxurious! The scones I had seconds of were warm, and I was happy that clotted cream and jam were also provided.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Back at Hotel Monterey Osaka after a long time (maybe more than 15 years since my last stay). Since it’s been quite a while since it opened, there are some signs of aging. That said, I actually felt that this gives it a European Hotel charm and character. The Facility isn’t the newest, but if you like a European-style atmosphere (a bit old-fashioned—if that’s the right word), I think it’s truly an excellent Hotel. The only thing that bothered me was that the Wi-Fi was a little slow. If they improve that, it would be perfect overall.

    From now on, we’ll be staying at Hotel Monterey in Osaka.

    I’ve always loved the classic exterior and interior, and I’d been wanting to stay at a Hotel Monterey at least once! This time, I was in Osaka for a half-private, half-business Multiple Night Stay, and the location was very convenient. Coming back to my Room felt so comforting—like returning home. Even during the Multiple Night Stay housekeeping, the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail really stood out. From now on, when I go to Osaka, Hotel Monterey will be my only choice, and I’d love to stay at Hotel Monterey properties across The whole country as well!!

    It’s always convenient to access from Osaka Station, and this was my third stay. I appreciated that you stored my luggage, which allowed me to shop nearby. The Hotel staff were also very courteous. I’d like to stay again.

    A bit disappointing.

    I stayed at this Accommodation because of the Diamond benefits, but it was disappointing. Because it is close to the JR railway line, it was too noisy to sleep. I asked to change Rooms, but my request could not be accommodated; it only took up my time and ended up being a waste. The staff member who assisted me at that time was also cold, which made me feel uncomfortable. If they had been a bit more considerate, I wouldn’t have felt so upset even if a Room change wasn’t possible. I don’t think I will stay here again.

    It exceeded my expectations.

    I stayed here with an old friend. The antique design was very comfortable, and it was a Room that made us want to book a Multiple Night Stay. The staff were extremely kind, helping us with luggage storage before check-in and taking photos. We were satisfied with the Facility and amenities, but it would have been nice to receive two complimentary skincare sets—one for the night and one for the next morning. It felt awkward to ask for two. I would also be happy if there were complimentary items like bath salts. Breakfast was delicious across the board, and I was impressed by how attentive they were even to small details like keeping the presentation neat. I will definitely come back to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    A castle!!

    It was my first time staying in Osaka alone, and while looking for a nice Hotel, I found this one. I fell in love at first sight, and I was truly happy to be able to stay here! Even the door was stylish and made me excited. One night is definitely not enough—I wanted to stay longer. I’ll be back!

    Especially for housekeeping staff.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. During my time out, the Room was cleaned with such attentive service that I was truly impressed. The housekeeping staff are truly wonderful.

    Smaller than expected.

    I stayed in a triple Room, but the layout made it feel smaller than expected. The parking entrance was hard to find. The bathtub was spacious. I think more people could dine if the table layout were adjusted. There were not enough power outlets. The service and staff response were excellent. Unfortunately, some breakfast items ran out and were not replenished in time.

    I often stayed at Hotel Monterey in Sapporo and Kyoto, but this was my first time in Osaka. The calm European classic interior is very charming. The staff are kind and pleasant. Since it’s near the train tracks, you might hear some train noise in the morning, but earplugs are provided, so it’s not an issue. The price is reasonable, and if you're considering staying at a regular Business Hotel, I highly recommend Hotel Monterey.

    Osaka Trip

    We stayed for three nights at the end of the year as a couple. The purpose of this trip to Osaka was food touring around Umeda, so we chose this Hotel considering its location. It is a bit far from Umeda. At first, we used the underground route, but since it was crowded, moving above ground felt closer. As for the Hotel, it is a Business Hotel with minimal amenities. What we liked was that the parking lot allowed free in-and-out access.

    This is my second st...

    This is my second stay. I like the Room with its calm and spacious interior, featuring a bench-like windowsill for sitting or placing items, a table and chairs for easy dining, and a desk that makes working convenient. The bathroom was clean, and the hairdryer was powerful, just like the one at home. The only downside was that the toilet was difficult to flush. Being connected to Osaka Station via an underground passage made it easy to avoid cold weather and rain. I would love to stay at this Hotel again.

    The breakfast is extremely disappointing.

    I chose a plan with breakfast and was looking forward to the buffet, but when I went to the breakfast venue, most of the dishes were gone, and everything I wanted to eat was empty. There was no replenishment of food at all. It was the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. I will never stay here again.

    Enjoy a Charming Hotel That Captures Your Feminine Heart

    The Hotel, themed after a Viennese palace, was adorable from the moment I entered. It also had a calming atmosphere, which was wonderful. However, I couldn't find prior information about basic skincare amenities being provided, which was slightly disappointing (though it wasn't an issue as I brought my own). The firm bed might be ideal for those who prefer it, but it felt too hard for me and was a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, the bathtub felt slightly rough; more thorough cleaning to make it smooth would have been appreciated. Overall though, I was satisfied. The location is convenient as well, so I'd like to stay here again.

Earplugs were available at the front desk but were unnecessary. - Freedom to switch between heating and cooling. - Power outlets near the bedside. - Hot water was immediately available. - High-quality breakfast. - Excellent scones with clotted cream and Échiré butter. - Appreciated having a teapot for tea. - Egg dishes prepared fresh in front of guests. - Hotel-style corn soup. - Lightly seasoned oden was enjoyable as well. - A wide variety of both Japanese and Western dishes available for breakfast. - All fruits were properly sweet, with citrus fruits carefully peeled down to their thin skins. - Breakfast items were replenished even towards the end of service hours. 【Negative Points】 - Difficulty opening and closing the room window (possibly due to overly strong springs). - Insufficient staff at the breakfast venue during peak times, leading to loud instructions near the kitchen area that disrupted the atmosphere ("We’ll guide you in order!" "We’re cleaning up now!"). While their effort is appreciated, it felt more like a casual diner than a Hotel setting—placing visual guides like signs saying "Staff will assist you" could resolve this issue. - Food replenishment during peak times fell behind. 【Subjective Points】 - The bed's springs are on the softer side. - While there’s an undeniable sense of age throughout, it maintains an elegant European mansion-like ambiance overall through its decor style

    Osaka Trip with My Daughter

    This was my first time staying here. The location is very convenient for sightseeing in Osaka, as it’s just a short walk from Osaka Station West Exit. I was looking forward to the breakfast due to its great reputation, and it did not disappoint—omelets were freshly made right in front of me, and there was a luxurious selection of seafood, meat, strawberries, melons, and more. Everything was absolutely delicious. The building felt a bit old to be honest, but with ongoing renovations, it should become much nicer in the future. I would love to stay here again!
