    Beachfront Resort

During the summer vacation, I found a very affordable Plan for a Hotel with a pool and close to the beach. As rumored, both the location and cuisine were excellent, allowing me to enjoy three days of an overseas resort-like experience. The atmosphere was calm with many adult guests, making the interior quiet and relaxing. While not a new Facility, it had a classic charm and was well-maintained. The flowers and plants around the pool were also beautiful. During my Multiple Night Stay, they changed the course meal menu for variety, and breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options to keep things interesting. During the day, I explored cafes and dining spots in Manazuru for an unforgettable experience.

    Following last year

This was our second stay following last year. This time, we enjoyed the pool before check-in, which we didn't use last year. Thankfully, the typhoon had no impact, and we were able to relax by the pool, enjoy the bath after check-in, and take in the view from our room at a leisurely pace. The meals were delicious as always, accompanied by attentive explanations. We look forward to staying again next year. Thank you very much!

    Casual Resort Hotel

Easily accessible Resort Hotel by car or train, offering great views and a well-managed table service for a leisurely dining experience. The Room's age is acceptable, but the paintings and furnishings, likely unchanged since the opening, feel outdated and out of place.

    Enjoy the Oceanfront

Not just an ocean view, but truly oceanfront. As soon as you enter the room on the third floor, the balcony offers a breathtaking view of nothing but the vast ocean and blue sky. This view alone makes it worth staying here. While many guests seem to stay for one night due to its proximity, a multiple night stay allows you to fully enjoy a resort-like experience by spending your days gazing at the sea. From the balcony, you can hear cars on Manazuru Road beyond the pool below, but Deigo trees provide just enough privacy without disrupting the resort atmosphere. The French dinner is exquisite; I particularly enjoyed the course served on my second night. The live piano performance adds an elegant touch. One feature I appreciated in the room was a drying rope in the bathroom—an essential item for any resort hotel. The toothbrush provided as part of their amenities was perfectly sized and easy to hold; I even brought it home for personal use! For lunch, you can take a bus heading to Yugawara and enjoy dining there—it runs about once every two hours, so I got a timetable from reception before heading out. The staff are subtly friendly and make your stay very comfortable. If you're arriving by train, taking a taxi from Yugawara Station is recommended for reaching this hotel efficiently. At Manazuru Station, although there is a taxi stand, no taxis were available when we arrived; even after calling for one, none were free at that time—we waited over 30 minutes before finally catching one dropping off passengers at Manazuru Station itself!

    Relax in ultimate luxury!

I had always been curious about this hotel. I stayed with a course that allowed me to enjoy the pairing of wine and cuisine, and I was surprised to find that I could enjoy six different types of wine. The delicious food and perfect pairings made for an unforgettable experience. When I opened the window in the room, I could hear the sound of waves. Although it was unfortunately rainy, it was still very soothing. The hot water gently warmed my body as well. I would love to visit again with my wine-loving friends on a girls' trip!

    Great Atmosphere

The food was very delicious, and the view from the window was great. Although it was a Hotel, there was also an Onsen, allowing for a relaxing stay.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Dinner: Beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared dishes, with flavors that were not overly rich—perfect for senior guests. The plates were also elegant, providing a feast for both the eyes and the palate. On the second day, we walked to Manazuru Station, took a train to Yugawara Station, and enjoyed strolling around the town of Yugawara. We had a wonderful time!

A hotel that feels like a villa in the South of France

1.5 hours from Tokyo, this Hotel offers beds, SPA, and gourmet cuisine. Once inside the building, it feels like staying at a wealthy friend's villa in the South of France—very comfortable. Enjoy a welcome espresso coffee while gazing at the pool. The private SPA is perfect for relaxation, though it's slightly disappointing that there’s no outdoor air bath space. Dinner is creative French cuisine, reminiscent of attending a wedding banquet, enjoyed with views of Sagami Bay. The sunset is incredibly romantic. For breakfast, you can choose between Western or Japanese options; desserts are also delightful. This Hotel is ideal for those who prefer to avoid noisy Ryokan crowds and perfect for solo female travelers as well!

    One More Time This Summer!

I stayed for two nights. The room was ocean-view. Unfortunately, it rained during one of the days, so I watched the rainy sea, but somehow the view of the vast ocean in front of me felt heartwarming. The room showed signs of long-term use but was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a unit bath with a sink, toilet, and bathtub; however, the shower area was slightly separate from the tub to prevent water from splashing—this was a nice touch. The large public bath included a mist sauna or regular sauna, but I found it slightly lacking for my preference. Despite the hotel being fully booked, I could wash up and enjoy soaking in the Onsen without feeling crowded. As for meals, both breakfast and dinner on both days were highly satisfying. Wine lovers would likely enjoy their experience even more! The staff's excellent service made dining very pleasant—thank you for such wonderful hospitality. The hotel is conveniently located right off a toll road along the coast between Odawara and Atami (I accidentally passed it at first). Nearby beaches had surfers enjoying themselves; perhaps swimming is possible in summer? There’s also a pool at this accommodation (it wasn’t open during my stay), which is great news for someone like me who isn’t fond of seawater. Although it's a bit of a walk to Yugawara town itself—and I didn’t visit this time—I hope to stay again during summer!

The view from the room was breathtaking. I enjoyed a luxurious time drinking wine and reading while keeping the window open. The plan included dinner, and the dishes were carefully prepared and very delicious. Although there was strong wind during our stay, which made the sound of the wind a bit disappointing, we fully enjoyed our first trip to Manazuru. I was able to take my time in the bath as it happened not to overlap with others, but it might feel a bit crowded if shared with other guests. We walked from the station, and it was an easily walkable distance except during midsummer. I forgot something in the room, but they promptly sent it to my home, which was incredibly helpful. Thank you very much!

You'll want to visit again and again.

As a returning guest, this has become a place I want to visit every three months. The location is simply amazing, and lying on the bed in a sea-view Room naturally eases my daily fatigue, allowing me to sleep deeply—it's truly remarkable. The quiet atmosphere is much appreciated, and the breakfast is just right in both quantity and taste, offering a sense of comfort. Thank you very much. I will visit again.

You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Atami fireworks.

Approximately a 15-minute walk from Manazuru Station. A very calm and lovely Hotel. The balcony had two chairs, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing time while sipping coffee from the Room and admiring the Sagami Bay right in front of us. At night, we could watch the Atami fireworks from the balcony, making it an unforgettable experience. We would love to stay here again.

The Color of the Sea, The Color of the Sky

Perhaps because it was the off-season in February, it was very quiet and relaxing. A month ago, on our way back from the Nakagawa Kazumasa Museum, we stopped by for lunch. Although it was drizzling at that time, we decided to stay again to see the view of the sea through a break in the clouds. Fortunately, with good weather, we could see beautiful views of the sea, peninsula, and islands from both the restaurant and our room. We could even see Hatsushima Island (Hatsushima), Oshima Island (Oshima), Niijima Island (Niijima), and Toshima Island (Toshima), which made us feel very pleasant. At night, the sky was clear enough to see constellations like Orion after a long time. The location was truly wonderful. The meals were delicious as well; we were very satisfied.

Refresh while watching the sea reflecting the light.

I visited for the first time last month. I was looking forward to the wonderful location, but the weather was not favorable, so I tried again this time. The sea reflecting the sunlight was very beautiful. I expected to have the same dinner menu, but they kindly changed it for us. The main dish of low-temperature cooked wagyu left a strong impression on me. Even after eating through the course, there was no heaviness in my stomach, and everything was delicious. Since it was a weekday, everywhere inside Hotel (Hotel) was quiet without any crowds, allowing me to relax and refresh at leisure. The service was just right and comfortable. I've added another Hotel (Hotel) that I want to visit again.

    Questioning 4 stars or more

The bath is narrower than a public bath, the food hasn't changed from the December menu, and I felt that the price and value are not balanced. I would like you to compare it with other Ryokan or Hotels.

    Stability

I have visited several times, and it remains a relaxing space as always. The guest rooms, scenery, meals, Onsen, and hospitality—none of them leave anything to be desired. In other words, it offers outstanding consistency. That's why it is always so healing whenever I visit.

    The dinner was good, but...

The onsen is not good, no view (no windows at all), it's a circulation system but the chlorine is too strong, and there is a chlorine smell on the body after bathing. The room does not have the "capsule coffee maker" mentioned on the reservation site, but instead has an electric kettle and two packs of drip coffee. There are no Japanese tea bags, so if you want to drink Japanese tea, you need to bring your own. Dinner was delicious, and the prices for drinks like wine were reasonable. On the other hand, I ordered a Western-style breakfast, and when seated, I was asked, "Would you like coffee or tea after the meal?" assuming coffee would be served after the meal (I wondered why it wasn't served with the meal or if refills were available), but I decided not to ask because it seemed troublesome. It's unclear if bread refills are available. Speaking of which, when I asked for more bread at dinner, they said, "We're baking it now," and it took a long time. Overall, the service was somewhat lacking. The view from the room (ocean view) was excellent with large windows.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

It is a little far from Yugawara Onsen. Although the building is not very tall, the view of the sea from the room was excellent. I used the plan with esthetic and massage services, which seemed interesting. I enjoyed a thorough 90-minute oil massage and was able to relax. Available for both men and women. The baths switch between men and women. One side had a mist sauna and a regular sauna. It's understandable given the location, but it's a bit disappointing that there is no open-air bath and no view from the window. For dinner, you can enjoy French cuisine, and for breakfast, you can choose between Japanese and Western styles. The room's facilities honestly feel a bit old, but that adds to the charm. However, the TV was huge and a high-performance model that allows casting.

    The best location

I was curious about the view from the guest rooms featured on the IKYU site, so I visited for the first time. The location exceeded my expectations and was truly wonderful. In front of me was an expanse of ocean, and I could hear the sound of waves crashing. This time, it felt wasteful to turn on the TV, so I spent my time watching the blue sea and listening to the sound of the waves, forgetting the mundane tasks of daily life. The furniture in the guest room was tastefully arranged, and everything necessary was well-provided, making it comfortable. The good access from the metropolitan area was also very convenient. The dining room also faced the sea, and the spacious area was pleasant. Each dish was carefully explained, which made the meal even more enjoyable. When I mentioned in advance that it was my birthday month, they included a message on the dessert plate, and everyone celebrated with piano music, which was touching. Thank you for a wonderful stay celebrating my birthday.

    Satisfied.

This is my favorite Hotel that I visit twice a year, on the same day every year, for New Year's and summer vacation. The service has changed a bit, and now there is complimentary coffee and snacks in the lounge, which are quite impressive. I think it's better than the coffee service in the Room, but it would be even better if guests could have it at any time. I wish it were available before breakfast and before checkout. The bath is not an Onsen, but I enjoy the sauna and mist sauna in Yugawara. This year, the bath water was lukewarm. I look forward to the meals every year, and this year, too, there were plenty of local vegetables, which were delicious. It's a Hotel I want to visit just for the meals. I will visit again during summer vacation.

The creative French dinner was truly exquisite.

In December, I heard it was affordable to stay, so I visited the nostalgic "La Cienega." Since I had a lot of luggage, I parked the car in the second-floor parking lot, entered through the back door, and checked in. I was told that the lounge next to the reception was only open until 6 PM, so I thought I'd have some wine while watching the sea before then, and a half-bottle of sparkling wine had arrived from IKYU. After toasting in the Room on the fourth floor, I went to the medium-sized bath with a sauna. Since the medium and large baths switch genders at 7 PM, I took a bath in the medium bath before dinner. Anyone familiar with the atmosphere of the old refresh room would be surprised here. The dry sauna, mist sauna, and shower booths are as splendid as before, but the bathtub is small with no view. And the next room, separated by just a wall, is the women's large bath at this time. You can hear everything from both sides. (The top of the wall is open.) Dinner was at the restaurant Le Phare on the second floor. The amuse-bouche was a croquette made with Shadow Queen. The appetizer was a salad-style venison terrine. Today's soup was a red turnip potage. The fish dish was baked turbot in pastry, with cheese risotto hidden underneath. A yuzu sorbet was served as a palate cleanser, followed by the main meat dish. It was a grilled Izu miso fillet, and despite being well-cooked, the domestically raised black-haired Wagyu beef from Shizuoka was very tender and melted in the mouth. The dessert was a beautifully presented Gateau Opera with strawberry ice cream. This time, I paired the meal with Glass Wine Set B (sparkling wine, white wine, red wine), but since the white wine glass was empty before the fish dish, I ordered an additional glass of white wine. Each was generously poured, making for a very satisfying pairing. The next morning, the large bath had glass windows facing the sea, but with frosted glass and outside trees, there was no sense of the sea. You can still hear the sound from the adjacent women's medium bath. The bath evaluation is "HOTEL Yugawara Onsen." For breakfast, I tried both the Japanese and Western set meals, but the Japanese set won in terms of appearance. I hope they consider the content, presentation, and color of the Western set a bit more. So, my honest impression is that the auberge "La Cienega" has been replaced by Yugawara Onsen "La Classe de Cienega."

This is my third stay this year. Whenever I visit, I feel there is no place where I can feel so relieved and relaxed. Seaside Resort

Although it was autumn, we were able to fully enjoy the seaside resort atmosphere. The entrance was arranged like an art museum, and the interior was a beautiful space. Overall, there was a luxurious feel, making us feel elegant. Dining at the restaurant facing the sea was a wonderful French full-course meal. I think it is a lovely Hotel to visit dressed up for a special occasion.

    Dinner exceeded expectations.

The Hotel, though old, was well-maintained and had a charming retro feel. The Room was spacious, and the sound of the sea was soothing. The bath was small and had a gender-swapping system. As a sauna enthusiast, it was a bit disappointing not to be able to use the one with a sauna before dinner. Dinner was a meticulously prepared French meal that captured the essence of the season. Since it was November, the dishes featured autumn vegetables like matsutake mushrooms, pumpkin, and fish like returning bonito and oilfield barracuda, which were both visually appealing and delicious, leaving us very satisfied. The wine selection perfectly complemented the meal, as expected. For breakfast, I chose a Western-style meal and had the option of an omelet or fried eggs, opting for the fried eggs. They were slightly overcooked, lacking the runny texture. The staff, of course, contributed to the overall excellence of the Hotel.

    I stayed for one nig...

I stayed for one night during a three-day weekend by myself. The classical and beautiful building, the wonderful French cuisine, and the courteous service of everyone allowed me to refresh myself, so I am writing a review. I was a bit worried that dining alone might make me stand out since there didn't seem to be a counter in the glamorous restaurant, but there were two other solo female diners, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was calm. The meal service was smooth, and I was able to enjoy my meal and wine very comfortably. There was an affordable wine pairing set, and everything was delicious...! The live piano performance was also casual in its selection, not too formal, yet it provided a special feeling with its wonderful performance. I walked on the way there, but since there were many uphill slopes on the way back, I requested a taxi at checkout, and it was arranged immediately. It was truly an adult trip healed by the view of Sagami Bay and the sound of the waves.
